Berikyuu! is Uta Doki's replacement (last Uta Doki will air on 3/28). Show starts on 3/31, and each episode is 7 minutes long.
Times
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday : 24:53-25:00
Wednesday : 25:13-25:20

There will be Berryz vs. C-ute gachinko games and quizzes. MC narration by a Yoshimoto Kogyo entertainer.
Regulars on the show: Berryz Koubou, C-ute and Mano Erina.
Guest appearances: (all) other H!P members.

Yorosen is Berikyuu's replacement, taking its timeslot (last Berikyuu ep will air on 10/3). Show will start airing on 10/6. It will have the current Wonderful Hearts Land crew (Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, C-ute and Mano Erina) as regulars.

I guess the other Eggs will be appearing as well (and it'd be plain unfair if they don't), we'll see.

Yeah... althought it's very little exposure, because of the show's duration. But it's exposure anyways.

I didn't know eggs were officially attached to this show? Were they? All I remember is a staff person talking about C-ute and Berryz. Erina is thrown in there for obvious reasons, and I'm glad they're gonna start the pimpage so early. :yep:

A while back when it was first announced, it said Berryz, C-ute, and Hello! Project Eggs.
The show sounds really cool! And it's cool that other H!P members will be making guest appearances as well.

By the time the first episode of Berikyuu airs, Mano Erina will have graduated the Eggs. So technically it is not "Berryz, C-ute featuring an Egg", but that is just a detail.
MoroP (the producer) said in his blog there will be many H!P members as guests on the show. That could include Eggs, but are they official H!P members? I think we'll see more of the popular H!P members at first anyway.

It'll be 4 minutes not 7 minutes. 7 minutes is the timeslot, same as Uta Doki, but with commercials removed it's 4 minutes.

so yes, the 'games' will be battles too, quizzes, cooking, etc...

None of them are particularly interesting, though. But at last Berryz got to wear their new outfits.

These two latest episodes has been the first one I've REALLY enjoyed.
When they we're just sitting around and doing the quiz I was bored (and the dschinghis khan costumes felt odd x3)
The making of vids aren't very fun cause they're so short. The concert stuff was neat to see but I don't want to see to much previews! x3
But now they're really great, LOL Saki & Momo are so easily scared! :lol:

The punishment game is interesting because they don't just sit around.
But I can't really enjoy the idea of Berryz being "punished" because they had less points... also that C-ute are in charge of punishing them (with kami-sama).
So, I somehow liked the eps before better >:|
Berryz new outfits are saikou though.

Well, they did lose the challenge (which was to win more points). Besides, it's unlikely that any of the girls actually have anything to do with the actual games or "punishments". They just show up and "go with the flow", so to speak.
And you have to admit, Kappa-Airi (episode 64) was ridiculously cute. :wub:

They did lose it but I still don't like to see Berryz in that position :sweatdrop:. Maybe even both Berryz and C-ute are fine with their position there now, at least Chinami seems to have fun :lol:. But when I watched those eps of the game now I didn't enjoy them as much as those before. The best about the eps with the game now is Momoko's new outfit for me :heart:
And yeah, Airi (and Chisato) are cute.
Even Momoko wasn't scared by Airi, she was more like a reward for her :lol:

I don't like the fact that C-ute won though >_> and didn't like the idea of punishment game too, but it turned out to be really interesting... Though I think it's too cruel to scare the girls that way though :thumbdown: That is if they are really scared and not acting or pretending to be...

Bringing back Uta Doki with the kids is such a good idea. I can't wait for the Sakix2+Maimai+Chisa day as well as Yurina and Erika's day! And I know Manoeri is just the host, but it'd be super cool to see her sing some songs as well. Maybe she'll jump in like some of the others got to for the old Uta Dokis. :heart:

Wow, Risako was impressive vocal wise. Her low voice is SO much better than her squeaky high voice that is so often found in Berryz songs. This kid really has some talent, however, she really has a lack of presence. I'm sure she'll get better as she grows older, but besides the fact that her singing was awesome, it was kind of boring to watch. I hope she kind find a way to get over her nerves (Like lollipop said.... because I'm pretty sure that's what it is, too).

That might be the best Risako's ever sounded. I usually hate her voice, but she was actually really good there. Good for her!

Yep, this was the perfect song for Risako. Just right for her voice range and not like in a concert where she's trying to move to a dance while singing. xD

Wow, Risako really pulled that song off well :shocked: She had a lot of power in her voice, especially singing the chorus.
It's funny that she's only a year younger than Momoe was when she originally sang this song.

Well the songs are from different time period - so I think it's kinda natural that we hear other voices from the girls. Because the tunes are a bit different from what they sing now. :bigdeal:

Ok so it's a hated fact, one that I sometimes deny, that Morning Musume's popularity in Japan is declining, but I thought that they still have a steady fan base and with them breaking out in Asia (Taiwan, Korea, China), they ought to be able to hold their ground in the media.
Also, isn't both Berryz kobo and C-ute are gaining popularity?
so shouldn't they each deserve their own show? I mean, THEY SHOULD!
Morning Musume, alone, have 9 members currently. Both BK and C-ute have 7 each.
9+7+7=23. 23 people can't possibly be fit into a "7 min/3 times a week, 25 min total" show. They're no room for all of them to shine.
I really hope this is just temporarily until they can get a better, longer show. Each of them. And maybe it is.... I dunno, but BK, C-ute, Manoeri and a couple of MM members are new to being in the spotlight, and maybe UFA is just thinking that this will help the Experienced members teach a thing or two to the rookies and help develop a tv personality and hope in time, they'll can hold their own. It's like a support system. i dunno, but maybe...
whatever the case, I hope H!P bigger and better things in the near future.

First, They don't have that much money to spend. It's a big risk. and from the current situation, who knows what will happen. they don't know if the girls could handle it.
there's also the question of, will any station give them their own show? are they able to give a 30 min or + shows for each of the groups? is there enough money to keep them on? will anyone willing to? will anyone watch them? If ratings aren't good, they cut it just like that.
there are more reason, i guess. but since i'm not in the biz, I could only think of this much right now...
but damn! I think Morning musume should at least have their own show. Berryz Kobo and C-ute, even if together, should have their own as well, and maybe with a longer time.
Morning Musume is the flagship of H!P/UFA anyway. If they resorted to this, what would the future of H!P be? I'm afraid of the possibility and what this may results.
I'm seriously hope I'm wrong though. I mean, very, very wrong.
UPDATE: okay so I've been thinking...
It just been announce that Morning Musume are going to be performing in the Meet in Beijing 2008 - Evening Asia on Sept 16 (along with other Asian artists) and it got me to thinking the reason why HM@ is ending and Morning Musume is moving to a 25min/week with BK and C.
Maybe it's because of Tsunku commitment to expand Morning Musume into Asia and they need more time to work on that with performances and events held throughtout Asia, yet a commitment to a show will dragged them down and overwork them. grouping with BK and C will share the spotlight and when they can't appear, at least the HP kids could do it and vice versa. It gives them flexibility.
at least, that's what I'm thinking...
still I hope the show will evolve into an even better show.

I just started watching Yorosen yesterday and caught up, not that it was that hard to do. :lol:
I'm enjoying this show a lot! You get to learn about random stuff about Japanese culture and history. XD I know, I'm a big nerd, I like learning random stuff. XD

Not to upstage H!F (I don't really have the time to translate anyways :( ) Just a quick summary for those watching without subs and wants to know what's going on, Ai is teaching about the Edo period of Japan and is talking about all the different quirks of the Tokugawa shoguns for episode 11 and 12, like Ieyasu being a health nut, another being only 130 cm tall, another who was a dog-lover, and another having 16 wives, etc.

About Kamei-sensei on Yorosen!, CHO-KAWAII! and H~O~T~! She looks extremely pretty. And I don't think Yorosen! that bad, it nice to watch, I look forward to watching it on the weekend when H!F subs is release. There are some funny part that sometime I imagine myself there, too. Speaking of Yorosen!, in episode 12 with Takahashi-sensei, She was pissed off about Tokugawa Ienari, 11th shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Why? because he had 16 named wives with many other unnamed wives, and about 40 mistresses. In a female perspective, that would be offensive, but for males, or in my case, I would show admiration for the guy. If I were to imagine myself in that classroom, I would definitely say "Sugoi!" and would definitely get a cold shoulder by the classmates and the teacher. I would probably die from the death stare....

awww I can't believe MM's month on yorosen is already up. It's going to be sad not being able to see them daily. I must say I enjoyed all the sensei's...it's very interesting to see how the classroom dynamics change with different members teaching.

When MoMusu lessons were over with, I was sad that I wouldn't be able to see them for a while, especially Eri (btw, Eri-sensei is cho sexy, desu ne?!). But then I figured I might as well check out BK and C-ute Yorosen! as well. I'm glad I did. I never really pay attention to them much, but knows who each one is and are recognizable during H!P concerts. But now they're all grown up and are very kawaii and pretty.
And all their lessons(MoMusu, Risako, Chinami), though the lesson themselves aren't interesting, but the interactions between the sensei and students are fun and entertaining, and having such cute and pretty cast is a plus. I hope that no matter how boring the subject is, their lessons and interactions of sensei and students keep on being interesting, and even more, I hope.

Yes, they didn't say that he was a nice person or anything but they we're being alittle to cherish about the whole thing. Left out ALOT that could have been mentioned. And the fact that most of them had no idea who it was is just scary.

What most people seem to have a problem with is that the "great people of the world" theme of the segment was used in regards to Hitler. A better title, maybe "important" instead of "great" may have helped with that, as I don't think anyone can dispute that Hitler was an important figure. But with the light atmosphere of the show, bringing Hitler into it was ill-conceived.
But, as I mentioned, referring to him as "Hitler-ojisan", or "Uncle Hitler" was pretty dumb. In the context of calling all the historical figures in her segment by familiar names, like "Marie-neesan", it makes some sense, even if it's of questionable taste.
As for Nakajima not being entirely at fault here, I do think that a certain amount of blame should go to the adults who should have known better. Even if there were disclaimers from Nakky about Hitler, they could have been edited out for time. Even some articles about this episode seemed to acknowledge that certain things that seemed clear at the time are not always communicated easily through television. It seems to me that there is enough blame for a bunch of people and the show staff and the network people dropped the ball on this one.
In any case, the network issued an apology and I think H.P. did as well, so whatever. It's just another case of ignorance, inattentiveness, and bad judgment that allowed something to air that shouldn't have. Eh, that's television for you.

I agree (and it's worth noting that TV Tokyo and the production company apologized because Japanese people on the Internet complained about this, as was written in all the Japanese articles). I think they should have picked somebody other than Hitler to cover; they should have known that people would complain.

The article from Sports Hochi (http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/topics/news/20081209-OHT1T00090.htm) says that the episode was scripted and is not C-ute's/Saki's real opinion:
℃―ｕｔｅの所属事務所によると、中島の発言はすべて、制作会社の吉本興業ＳＳＭが作成した台本を読み上げたものだという。
According to C-ute's agency, what Nakajima said was all read from a script that the production company, Yoshimoto Kogyo SSM, had written.
Later on it quotes UFA as saying 「彼女の意見ではない」 ("It is not her/their opinion").
So again, it is SSM's fault, and as they said in their apology, their checking system was too lax. I don't blame C-ute; they had no choice in what to say, and they probably didn't pick the historical figures themselves. They have no control over the production; I wouldn't be surprised if all the lines in that episode were scripted. SSM said they would make their checking system more thorough, and hopefully they will if only because a future scandal regarding Yorosen! might cause it to get canceled.
I'm more annoyed with the blogs that heard about the scandal and put the fansubbed episode in their posts but mentioned nothing about the complaints from viewers and the apologies.

I don't buy the "checking system was lax" excuse for one moment. It's just that, an excuse, and a pretty lame one.
It was always obvious that someone else had decided which historical figures were going to be talked about. How much is scripted we'll maybe never know. I'd even go as far as saying that Nakky might not have done some (or any?) of the drawings herself.
Then rewatching the episode I noticed that in some parts you can hear the crew laughing at some bits. So we have a scriptwriter (or if not full scripts, ideas on who to talk about) person, camera crew, sound crew, editors, etc. And not one person realised that it might not be a good idea to broadcast it?
Well here's what I think happened. But first to back up for a moment... Here in the UK we've always joked about Hitler. Even during the war itself there were radio shows that joked about Hitler, and various comic songs such as "Hitler has only got one ball, Goering has two but very small, Himmler has something sim'lar, but poor old Goebbels had no balls at all" and "Whistle while you work, Hitler is a twerp, wiped his bum with chewing gum and shoved it up his shirt." When you turn someone into a figure of fun it helps to make them less powerful.
However in Germany, talking about Hitler is obviously a bit of a taboo. Some people, particularly the older generation are ashamed of their countries involvement in the war and don't like to talk about it. That gives rise to the Fawlty Towers episode where some German guests were staying at the hotel and the phrase "Don't mention the war" is used. And of course Basil Fawlty did mention the war, with hilarious consequences, and as a Brit I can laugh at Hitler because we've always laughed at him. I saw the Fawlty Towers episode "The Germans" when it was broadcast for the first time on German TV in 1993 and somehow it made the episode even more funny. I'd be genuinely interested to know from any German members of the board if I've got that right, is Hitler really a taboo subject in Germany or are you able to joke about him? Maybe a generational thing?
Now onto Japan. I'd also heard that Japanese people don't like to talk about Hitler because of Japan's incvolvement in wwii. Now seeing that Yorosen episode that clearly isn't the case. You've got the kids firstly, who probably haven't been taught enough wwii history (I had heard that Japanese schools teach a very biased/edited version of world history, please correct me if I'm wrong) so they can plead ignorance. Then you have the camera/technical crew. Obviously some Japanese people can and do laugh about Hitler as we heard them laughing during the Hitler bit. I'm guessing it's mainly the older generations of people in Japan who don't like to talk about the war.
So... I'm assuming that what happened was TV Tokyo thought that attitudes had changed enough that they were able to have a laugh about Hitler without anyone complaining. Sadly they were wrong.

QFT. It's a subject/topic that eveyone should be aware of, unfortunately the nature of it didn't exactly make it easy to make the "classes" that entertaining.
Hate to say it, but Chinami's outfit was the highlight of this batch (both for how smart it looks as well as the fact that it's partially made from recycled materials). :thumbsup

This week's Yorosen was the best to date. I think Maasa wants to be my favorite Berryz member. :heart: But yeah, it was fun to watch and I actually laughed out loud at these. I don't think Yorosen has made me do that before. Maasa's victory(and frustration :lol: ) yells were hilarious. Good stuff. :heart:

I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon. I believe I heard the ratings were incredibly bad. Not 100% sure on that, though.
I just watched the final week. What a horrible way to end a series. Clip shows are bad enough when they have time to show something, but trying to sum up half a year's worth of intros, games, and battles is not a good idea. The last episode was good that it had some original content. Too bad it was boring as hell content. I don't see why they couldn't have let Mai do her real bit for the last week. This was terrible. Yorosen overall get's a decent score in my fandom memories. There were a couple of weeks that were epic, most were just okay to watch, and a few were just torture to watch.

Agreed that ending the show with a clips week was kind of lame, but at the same time, I wasn't really surprised that they did it. Fortunately Maimai ran with it pretty well, and did what she could to offer some running commentary instead of just watching it and "ummm-ing" and "oh-ing" a lot.
Each week had their high and low moments (for some, more of one than the other). Overall, favourite weeks for me were (in no particular order):
- Linlin's Chinese info week (PYA! PYA!) XD
- Maimi's "King of Side Dishes"
- Airi's golf week

Maimai was fine, just the format.. yeah, it was cheap. Oh well.

The former Morozumi P and some comedians did their radio show again just a few hours ago. I'm only going to report on the presents this time which were:
- The outfit that Kenkoba aka Gayako wore as the new Berryz member
- The vase where the girls had to whisper their answer into, minus the microphone in it
- The bear that Koharu did her sumo moves on
The show was pretty boring this time, but they weren't kidding with the presents. :lol:
