Stage Name Meaning: Dance of Heaven
Birth Date: October 16, 1987 (1987-10-16) (age 20)
Other Works: Some American musicals; female part in KangTa & Vanness "127day" music video.
Extra Info: Previously lived in San Diego, CA and has been trained as a professional ballerina. She was accepted into Boston Ballet University, but turned it down to pursue her music career with SMTown.
LINA
Real Name: Lee Ji-Yeon (이지연)
Stage Name: Shangmei Lina, Sangmi Lina, Lina The Grace
Stage Name Meaning: Beauty of Heaven
Birth Date: February 18, 1984 (1984-02-18) (age 24)
Other Works: One album as part of IsakNJiyeon, Female part in Kangta & Vanness' "Scandal" music video, The TRAX's "First Rain" MV, and Fly to the Sky's "Goodbye" music video.
DANA
Real Name: Hong Sung-Mi (홍성미)
Stage Name: Xi'yue Dana, Hui-yeol Dana, Dana The Grace

Birth Date: July 17, 1986 (1986-07-17) (age 21)
Other Works: Two albums as a soloist; Kangta "Polaris" music video, H.O.T.'s filim Age of Peace.
Sunday
Real Name: Jin Bo-Ra (진보라)
Stage Name: Zhisheng Sunday, Jiseong Sunday, Sunday The Grace
Stage Name Meaning: Soft Voice of Heaven
Birth Date: January 12, 1987 (1987-01-12) (age 21)
Other Works: Two Japanese singles as a soloist (One produced by Verbal of m-flo); Fly To The Sky "Maybe God Knows" music video.

These girls need more promotion in both countries, they're so talented. I adore all 4 but my favs are Lina and Sunday :heart:

They're overall really talented, but their music hasn't really appealed to me yet.
Stephanie's dancing is hot though. Loved her Ballerina with B-boy thing on X-man.
I hear they're doing relatively bad in Japan, guess it shows how hard it is for a female group to break into that industry :/

their vocal is sooo powerful, the songs are great, and they are really pretty & adorable.

Not realizing I was watching Sungmi of Wonder Girls at first... some illegal thoughts were going through my mind while watching the first couple minutes... Good thing I'm a fan of Gyuri and Gain and Gyuri's skimpy dress was a nice disctraction, until the little cut to that short dance break. x_x It should be illegal to have a 16 year old girl do things that hot and look that hot... it ain't my fault. ;_; Her dancing destroyed the other two who I can't even imagine how they could dance with how tight their clothes were. But they're awesome singers and wearing skimpy outfits so all if forgiven. They were missing a girl, they shoulda added someone from SNSD >_>

Looks like they're shifting directions a bit.
The song isn't bad, but I don't really dig Cliff Edge's rap style. But the Japanese seem to like that style of hip-hop/pop so I hope it does well. Wish the girls sang a bit more though, and wish they did some dancing...
I really wonder if there's something about girl groups that just doesn't work in Japan, unless they're idols and can sell to a huge niche market of course. Some company or magazine should do a survey on what the japanese youth think of girl groups, but they probably wouldn't do that unless there was a girl group boom.

I seriously can't wait for the album! I used to not like Dana at all, but she's gotten so much prettier and her voice isn't so weird to me anymore.

okay, rumor has it that the girls are back in Korea (according to their staffs' blog) but we're not exactly sure for what. Some say it's just rest while they near the end of their DEAR (latest Japanese album) promotions. Others say they've finally returned and are preparing for their long awaited Korean comeback!
I don't know about you, but Rhythm Zone is shitty with promotions because CSJH is nowhere as big as they are in Korea or DBSK/BoA's popularity in Japan. Which is sad cuz they are in Japan more than BoA is. At least BoA comes back for a few performances in a given year... Whatever, I guess this is what they meant when they told SNSD to take care of Korea for them XD

It's pretty sad to hear they don't do well and have weak promotion because outside H!P, they're the only girl group I own an actual CD for. Hopefully they can pull off a huge comeback.

There isnt any real problem with the logic in that article that I could find. It's like WWE and TNA (If I may use a wrestling analogy here). WWE (In place of SM here) is very theatrical. They rely heavily on the characters they create to sell their product. Compared to TNA (In place of Pledis here), WWE's wrestlers are less talented and less athletic as the wrestlers in TNA. TNA might not reach the audience WWE does, but the talent over there is better. So why not surround yourself with good talent?
Wait, that is a bad analogy. WWE's writers are better and so if you pair talent with direction, you are going places. Fuck all that wrestling noise I just said.
It does make sense. Go to a place that can better put you in a situation to fully display their talents and maybe even make them better. (Which I bet most of you would agree would be awesome to see since they are mad talented already)

No word yet on what's going on with them. All I know is that Stephanie got a really bad injury taht she had to stop work. I think Dana was supposed to have some solo thing... I think it's time that SME bring back their old groups. I mean, TRAX already came back this year, BoA's coming back, why not CSJH too? ;_; 2010 could be the return of SME artist!

I was feeling nostalgic when I saw this. I've seen them perform a better version of Can't Help Fallin'.
I love how Stephanie has a better sounding voice than Dana (imo of course!) and yet Dana gets the most lines. To be honest, I always thought Sunday and Lina had the best voices in CSJH...
The sad part is they're not active in either country... so I don't even know if they are ever gonna come back any time soon. They might be just like TRAX, disappearing for wayyyy long before making a comeback.
