My guess would be Reina. And on another note, the pink silhouette reminds me of the horrible period during Ambitious where they dressed up Kame as a "university student". Especially the hairstyle.

From that angle, the eye and nose could be like anyone's, but the lips... I can only remember Nacchi having lips like that in H!P... Dunno what she's doing there tho :P

My guess will be
blue = Koharu
pink = Sayu
yellow = Nacchi
purple = Kitahara Sayaka
I don't know about the purple one, but most likely will be someone from the Eggs.
And the pink one --> boot + fluffy mini-skirt + posture = just makes me think of Sayu, or Airi.

For the girl on the left, I'm gonna go for a wild guess of either Reina or (the wild part) Minami from H!P Kansai :lol:
But initially, I didn't see any H!P girl in either picture... They really did choose a perfect confusing angle... GRR
EDIT: The new slogan makes me think it's some Live thing (duh), fanmeetings/concerts maybe, or a tv show... LOL With that being said, maybe it's the whole H!P and they're just doing this pic thing to annoy us...

OMG... I wonder what it is. A fashion shop is something I would order from if they ship overseas... I often see H!P members wear things I want to buy myself in photoshoots. (♥w♥) If it was it would be such a good way to attract a more mainstream audience in Japan if teenagers wanted to buy the clothes.. but I have a feeling the wota might buy the stock out if it was. xD;

I think it would be so cool if it is a fashion shop. That would be kool.
If UFG gonna start creating their own brand of clothing and have a few designers, then they are gonna use H!P girls as models and advertising their clothes @ concerts, events, appearances, maybe even in everyday clothing.
though i'm a guy, i still like to see what kind of fashion clothes and accesories they'll came up with. A guy can say whether or not a girl looks cute in those clothes or not rite?
and i hope they'll cover differents style, from adorable -> kawaii -> kakkoi -> sexy -> nice -> pretty -> beautiful -> gorgeous -> pretty -> elegant -> outrageously unforgettable.
for every occasions
from everyday clothes -> concert outfits.
from shirts and pants and skirts -> dresses and gowns.
If everything goes well and it became popular, think of how popular the girls will be after this. Maybe even an overseas expansions, China, Taiwan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas.
THIS WILL MAKE THEM A WORLDWIDE HIT! (hopefully)
with all that said, now i'm really anxious to know what it really is!

And it seems to be fashion based. Just looking at it, everyone seems to be wearing boots and a skirt.
Sounds great, since my biggest rant from the past few couple years has always been their costume choices. If they could get fashionable, hot young(but not too young) girls to perform, they could possibly "save idol pops" :lol:

I'm pretty sure they're not gonna be bringing out clothes in real life. This all gonna be virtual.
Basically what you saw in the video is what Happy Style Life/Live is. It's a new world on Second Life. For anyone who doesn't know what Second Life is, it's basically this giant chatroom world thing with 3d avatars and stuff, where you can do near enough anything you want, and you can make real life money from it as well. Check it up on wiki if you wanna find out more about it.
So, this Happy Life world thing, looks like it has a mall where you can buy Second Life clothes/hair, probably buy your own land etc.
AKB48 have exactly the same thing as this. They have their own world on SL with their own AKB48 café, a mall where you can buy AKB outfits and other stuff. Some of the girls go on it from time to time, and they do online shows and handshaking events. It's really cool.
This is going to be GREAT for foreign fans, because I get the feeling they're going to have online events and stuff to do here, and we're all going to be able to go to them. This is going to be aimed for the Japanese, like what AKB48s place is, but it's a great way to interact with fans from over there and show the massive foriegn fanbase.
What happend in the AKB place is that once the foreign fans discovered it, loads of people went there and they implemented lots of english stuff through the popularity.
Once it's opened, we needa take over. :lol:
As for the girls, I now think they're gonna be new girls.

Find the whole second life concept in general to be weird since I heard of it... and yet people keep trying to do stuff like that (like playstation "home"), I guess its something that's gonna happen. But I do hope this happy live style goes beyond just that... gotta make good on the use of the word "live"...lol.
A little off the topic I guess but after seeing the green silloutte I immediately thought of Super Sentai... if you generalize it in pastels that Green, Blue, Pinkish Red, Yellow, and Purple(which usually is the color they use for black since you can't have literal black light). Just thought that was interesting... I guess its Japanese culture and their sense of color assignment that usually leads to those colors being used in that order.

And so far there is sadly no sign of Hello! Project or any other Idol thing. You can rent a shop space, maybe Up-Front is going to do that?

There is a small disco-like looking place at some point ("Black Cat JAPAN event") but that does not look like a suitable place for H!P events imo.

yeah, maybe. But dohhhup already has own land where they could make a shop. There would just be less people around, but they wouldn't have to pay for an extra space. They already sell a dohhhup t-shirt for 0L$ (for free) on their land.
So I am not sure yet if it's really SL related. Maybe they just stole the name... or maybe not.

Rumors inside Second Life (yes, I am an SL citizen) say that H!P's involvement with the Happy Style malls (two, in different SL regions), is that they OWN Happy Style as an Up Front afiliate) and they will have a line of clothing for female avatars designed by some of the girls, and that some promotional stuff from single and album releases will be held there, maybe even a presentation once in a while (I have been to numerous LIVE concerts by musicians who simulcast real life presentations to SL, and it would be great to have H!P do that). But again, is all wild speculation for now

^ secondlife.com, it's a virtual world in 3D. Everyone can get a piece of land, build items and make some stuff with scripts etc.
But if you want to have cool stuff it mostly costs money, esp. for own land you have to upgrade your account and pay a monthly fee (+ extra money if you own a land over 512m² or something like that). Imho it's quite boring but now that there is Berryz PV on dohhhup's land I'm online there quite a lot...

I just found the log-files made by that script while trying to find a hidden version of the final page and I can say that we (jphip) are usually in the top10 referer since Ayabie made the thread and usually above most other foreign forums.
Also, one day I was #1 sorted by hosts :lol:
So, if they check these logs daily they will have noticed us for sure XD

To be honest none of those girls looks like any Berryz, C-ute or MM girl to me, except for the pink one who looks like Maki. But I don't even think the yellow one looks like Rika and I have a feeling that none of those figures is a Berryz, C-ute or MM member, maybe they're Eggs or those Kansai-girls or something.

I think the name "Up-Front Style" has thrown us off the mark. It's not actually related to clothing or fashion at all!
After looking at Up-Front Style Co.'s company profile page, (translation here (http://209.85.135.104/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.up-front-style.jp/info.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.ufg.co.jp/a_29.html%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us)) I'm pretty convinced that it has something to do with anime voice acting. I think there was a story a while back on ikimasshoi.net (no longer available) around the time when Risa started her voice acting about how Up Front Group was starting a voice-acting branch
That link to the Sorachoco bus tour on Up Front Style's site led me to search for their main site. Google said it was www.sorachoco.com , and the profile page (http://www.sorachoco.com/profile.htm) shows that these two girls (Hanamura Satomi (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=10209) & Inamura Yuuna (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=37191)) are indeed anime voice actresses.
To me, the recent news of Reina's new voice acting role along with this new activity from Up-Front Style seems more than just coincidental. One of the faces on happy-style.cc seems like it could be hers.
As one of their concerns is software-related, the tie-in to Second Life would make sense. It doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to say that they might be using their presence in Second Life as a promotional tool for their voice actors, just as Dohhhup.com has been doing some Second Life stuff.
As for the .cc domain, happy-style.co.jp and happy-style.jp have already been taken. The link referrer logging script seems common to some of up-front's other sites as well. Now, as they've been changing the site incrementally and causing us to speculate, I think that perhaps the link was leaked intentionally. The timing of it, so close to the new voice acting role for Reina, is just too close to ignore.

Well I guess it pretty much rules out MM being any of the faces because they have a concert on that day in Osaka.

I noticed the one looked like Reina, but since there is a concert that day, I almost doubt it's her!
Looking at the green girl again, the eye remind me a bit of Yaguchi! I doubt it's her, but it'd be awesome if it was~ I really think lt. blue is Iwashima Manami! She's been using that exact hairstyle in photos for a while! The build looks like her, too! Red I think is Mano Erina. It'll give her more preparation for her upcoming solo act :) And she's the closest Maki looking girl in H!P... I still think yellow is Ishikawa. She's been sporting a short hair style for a while now, and the face, to me, look like her! The purple girl looks like Miki to me, still. That would be cool too. I still don't know about the build, though! And finally, blue looks like Maeda Yuuka still. Her eyes are more round and softer than Akari's! Plus blue looks like a little Airi... and Yuuka always reminds me of Airi in the Aa! days :)

From what I can get with my limited japanese, this unit will do live presentations of "great songs from Idols and Animes", so they will perform anime songs and, from what I can understand, maybe "covers" of idol hits

Maybe they will rotate the members of this HAPPY! STYLE, since the announcement says "HAPPY! STYLE Communication Circuit 001 participating members" and then the girls shown there....that sounds like "ok, these will be the first ones, but maybe there will be others for Communication Circuit 002 and so on" :D

I'm happy it includes Nocchi, but just a bit diappointed about the thing. Will they only do lives but not release anything themselves? Because then it's more like a thing that the Japanese fans only can enjoy.

Why? Have you already listened to the unit perform? Do you know if they actually fit well together, and sound well together? Until we can see and hear them perform, and specially until Tsunku and UFA see the public reaction to them, it will be hard for them to have singles written for them.

As for H!P Kansai, there are recordings of their perfs and at least two fancams from way back... And they work together well. I dunno about all these girls but H!P Kansai debut is waaaay overdue >_>

Well, I trust UFA or the people there enough to not put people who don't sound good at all together into same group (because I haven't honestly seen such group done yet). But you're right, I haven't heard anything by them yet. I guess I hope that IF they're received well they can get actual singles on their own. Just hoping to see some more of the trainees and Nocchi, that's all.

^I keep checking dohhhup in the hope it'll have some clips!! It's a really cool setlist though hopefully next time more non-H!P anime songs(since that's there basis). Though i won't say no to some buono album tracks!!

Ah I finally listened to this thing :3
Some general comments:
Asami Abe seems to be no doubt the worst singer in SINA; she sounded like she was dying especially during the final moments of Akai Freesia. :lol: But no hate. You know I actually find bad singing cute, so yeah. I just wish I could see her perhaps suffering face during it, too, it would be even cuter that way ^__^
Nana sounds awesome when her voice isn't cracking :lol: , that seems to happen during any somewhat higher notes that she tries to push out. So she needs practice, but when her voice isn't cracking it really is very very nice, and 15. 涙、止まれ！ (Namida, Tomare!) was one of my favourites here (her voice only cracked once in that, I think!!)
Ai Suma sounds like she could join Melon Kinenbi xD Hmm her tone of voice doesn't stand out a lot to me but she seems to be pretty good, perhaps the 2nd best in SINA.
Manami's great, I expected nothing less of her. Maybe sounds a bit weird for H!P songs since most of them are made for high cute voices, but yeah. Wub her singing~ 4. 愛のバカやろう (Ai no Bakayarou) is also a difficult song to sing but she did about as well as anyone can, so hooray o/
Nocchi was good, except for those anime songs that pretty much require shout-singing o-o;; So I didn't like those parts where she was half-singing half-shouting (with her voice cracking at times), but otherwise she did okay. I especially liked 13. 魂のルフラン (Tamashii no Rufuran) - at first I couldn't even believe it was her, she sounded so different (well the song was very different from H!P stuff). But yeah, great effort :3
Oh and then little Yui... Her voice was so cute and anime-ish, I couldn't help but smile while listening. Too cute. ;-; I won't really pay too much attention to these new girls unless they join Eggs or sth, but I'd like to hear more of this girl's singing. lol!
In the end, pretty good stuff. Some horrid vocal moments, but yeah. I'd love to see this plz. *glares at UFA*

^being a concert length performance for 'newbies' I'm not surprised some of their voices started to crack cuz they all were pushing their chest voices the whole time, real credit for that!
Next one's 6th july, ages away >_< Hopefully it'll all be different songs and no repeats...hopefully some more anime classics. Just imagine Nana singing lum no love song!! gotta have either just communication or white reflection from gundam wing! what are some other good classics?? It's all right from ccs! or just any of the CCS opening/enging songs.

Nocchi posted a new blog entry (http://blog.upf-web.com/notti/?p=198) today, featuring two photos of her in the costumes she wore during Koi Kana (pink) and give a reason (silver).
Are these costumes new? (The first looks a little Ooki na Ai de Motenashite/Sakura Chirari to me.) The event goods were clearly custom outfits; did Happy! Style get custom live costumes for this event too? That would definitely be a step up from H!P Eggs' recycled everything from their concerts.

^I think there's reasoning behind the eggs wearing 'the outfits of their sempais' as one egg put it...possibly kanon? It's the whole idea of the fact that they're not fully debuted yet so it's kinda er...all the songs are 'covers' in effect so the outfits fit the theme. I've not explained it well but i hope what im trying to say gets across.
and I don't recognise those 2 outfits nocchi is wearing.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying.
I was just surprised at how much promotion Happy! Style seems to be getting. The website promotion was one of the most interesting things out of UF* in a long while, and then on top of that the group gets all new costumes for a one day event? You have to admit, that's pretty impressive. Much more impressive than what I thought UF* would put into a group consisting of an Egg, Kansai trainees, and two newcomers.
Hopefully they stick around for a long while, and even more hopefully they start putting out some releases
