The article mentions a contest where you submit and design new outfits. The winner will be the official outfit for the new single.

Ooooh this would be awesome, because I was worried it would be just a one-time thing like the Koharu+Maimai single. (I don't follow Kirari so I don't know if the storyline with the Eggs is continuing)

Hmm. Not sure how to feel about this. I hated Anataboshi, so I'm hoping that this song won't be anything like it, but I am liking Sayaka a lot more, so it's good that she's still in a unit... I dunno. I just hope it's better than Anataboshi.

With the pretty good sales of their first one, I kind of knew they'd HAVE to release another one. LONG LIVE MILKY WAY!! And it's great they're doing that contest, that'll get the kids really excited and give them a chance to 'interact'. Smart move!

The new single for MilkyWay is called "TANTANTAAN!". It will be released on 29 October 2008.
I choose for all capitals because it's katakana. It seems the title is in the same style as Koharu's "PAPANKEEKI". It doesn't mean anything by itself, but there is a foreign word somewhere in there.
Limited edition: EPCE-5580; 1,260 yen (tax incl.)
Regular edition: EPCE-5581; 1,050 yen (tac incl.)
The title song will be the new opening them for the anime Kirarin Revolution.
The SingleV DVD will be released on 5 November 2008 with catalog number EPBE-5307 and has a price of 1,575 yen (tax included).

I'm slightly put off by the title of the single but I'll try and withhold judgment until I at least hear a preview. I liked their first single as much as I possibly could considering it contained Koharu's voice throughout.

Actually, katakana isn't just used for foreign words. It's also used for most sound effect words/onomatopoeia, and "Tantantaan!" is more likely to be onomatopoeia than a foreign word. Maybe they will use their tambourines again in this song and "Tantantaan" is the sound of them playing the tambourines.
I liked Anataboshi, and I like Kikkawa Yuu a lot and think she blends well with Koharu and Sayaka (and her solo version of Anataboshi was the best), so I'm glad her unit is getting another single.

The way they did the title in that is awesome! :heart:
Other than that, the covers are alright, but nothing super special. I wish the background was a different color so the costumes would pop more. All three girls look excellent, though!

^Not really because her character Noel would never wear skirts like the others(from what i can tell from the Oha acting bits).

Looking at it again koharu's skirt is a bit shorter than Yuu's it's just not very noticeable.
Might just be due to koharu's height compared to Yuu's...

Gosh, the tamborines stand out in their costumes... because its so plain looking. The fabric looks like the problem to me... It should be more... filled with sparkle. I blame the person that submitted it. Its not bad, if at least the clouds, rainbows, or something was glittery it would have made them stand out more, not just blend in with the sky or something, and make their tamborine the only thing standing out. Well, maybe that was their goal? O-o
At least the shoes look good. And the songs are going to be the ones that are going to amaze us... RIGHT?

Oh yeah, the lines are split in a nicer way in this single! I think based on Anataboshi, you couldn't really tell crap about Yuu and Saya's voices (before the solo versions came out, of course). But with this song, you can actually hear them well. :lol:

It's really cute, and quite catchy! I was expecting something cracky and energetic, but I'm not disappointed at all with this :D The song really compliments all the girls' voices, especially Koharu, she sounds amazing. And I really like Sayaka's voice too, so it's nice that the song is evenly distributed.

It's effing amazing what an actual PV version does to a song versus the scary 3D anime version.
I wasn't too thrilled on the song until the actual PV, and damn it is full of awesome! The dance is so cute, and I simply love the working with the tamborines at the beginning. I as well am so happy that there is equal line distribution, and damnit if Kikka isn't totally the best ever!
Milky Way truly shines in looks and vocal quality in this song and PV. I have a feeling I'll be ordering this single. :wub:

I really like the song, that is until the chorus starts, it's kind of bland and boring, still nice, but I expected the chorus to blow me away after the beautiful beginning.
Still a nice song, not as addictive as Anataboshi was, maybe it'll grow on me.
And I'm looking forward to the instrumental.

Under normal circumstances, I'd never check out this song. I dislike Koha, and Anataboshi was, in my opinion, annoying and unremarkable.
But I love this song. It's adorable. And it's actually dragging me back into H!P fandom after my waning interest when I heard 'Pepper Keibu'.
AND MY GOD, I'm beginning to like Koharu. I NEVER thought I'd say that again, she's been my least favourite in the entire project for ages but... she's really sweet in this PV. I'm turning... haha.

Koharu's Pankake flooded even worse. Parents must have realised that the whole Kirari thing was getting too expensive. Financial crisis hit Japan too, and music is not a must, so parents must have cut the money for that.

^Well, I think Papancake was a bit too extreme for most people. Classical composer like Mozart also had to fight against people who didn't understand their brilliant music.
Secondly, tantantan is about 39% more boring than anataboshi, so that would explain the lower sales.
