I decided to set up this section just for Maki Addicts' introductions. Since this is a new section, it will be nice to tell us a little more about yourself, where are you from, how you get in to Makiholism, etc. How much details is entirely up to you. It will be nice to know something about people you are chatting with. Happy posting.

Alright I start off first. Here's a little about myself.

Occupation: doing R&D,a JRF, also doing a higher degree at the same time, wasting my life away doing it..
Age: ?
Interest: Goto Maki, Imai Eriko, H!P, Japan, Jpop, Music, R&D, Reading, Travel, Writing, PCs, Website Making.
Marital Status: Swinging Single, IT

Been to Japan 7 times, all by free & easy traveling, I dislike tour groups. ^^ Places covered include Tokyo, Yokohama, Chiba, Saitama, Nagoya, Shizuoka, Shimada, Fukuoka, Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Kansai area, etc. Hopefully I get to go to Hakkaido and Okinawa in the near future. Favourite areas in Tokyo are Harajuku (All the fan goods...^^), Jimbocho (Books, books, books..), Shinjuku (Electronics! Yodobashi rulz!) and Shibuya (Shopping..). Listen to Jpop for 15 years, mainly my elder sis influence in the beginning (80s), started listening to and fall prey to Nakamori Akina! (Akina rocks, Seiko.. ). Hooked eversince to Jpop. I had a difficult peroid following Jpop when I left home to prusue studies in UK where Jpop is scared. I am thankful to the internet for keeping me connected somehow. I created my 1st website in mid 2000, erikogenki.net, dedicated to one of my favourite jpopgirls. The project developed my interest in website making, and take a serious turn. I registered my 1st domain name in early 2001. Since then, I have started various web projects. But due to my busy schedule, I have a hard time keeping up with them. I will try do my best.

Momusu: LOVE MACHINE, Goto Maki debut that started it all.... I listened to Momusu in the past, but it was Gocchin that really got me into them. I still vividly remember the 1st time I watched the LOVE MACHINE PV (full version), I remembered I was complaining to myself, Argh..so many of them, who should I focus on...and then she caught my eye...that lovely smile, that face that screams 'attitude', that blond hair...I was overwhelemed. The only thing I remembered after watching that was the name Goto Maki. The rest is history.  ^^

So um, hi! I'm Shirenu! :D I'm a H!P Crapola mod! A 20-year-old female, single!

I blame Maki for turning me into a perv! I was an innocent, brand new H!P fan when one day someone posted previews of Prism PB (I'm a n00b) on a forum! I swear I had never been into bikini pics or anything before, but Maki turned me into a drooling idiot. It's an incurable disease :(

But of course her looks ain't the only reason I like her! I'm always impressed with her live performances, her energy on stage etc. And I like all the little unconscious mannerisms and expressions she has when not realizing the camera's on her, kinda hard to explain but it's cute stuff indeed. Anyway, I don't want to babble on too long, so shortly put: she's awesome. :lol:

There's another Maki wota named MAKISTAR from Hawaii who had a HP site but it's no longer in service.   Years ago when I was a novice on WinMX, I've tried everything as user name but nothing worked except for "makistar" so I'm stuck with it.

The first time I saw Maki was in the Sayonara Tomdachi PV. A friend gave me a link to the Public MM tracker. I had never seen anything H!P, so I just downloaded random torrents and that PV was the first one. I loved it so much I DLed the single, and then bought the single. I couldn't get enough so I was looking all over the place for Maki stuff.

I'm from Canada, I live in Japan, I have loved Maki hardcore since August '04, and have loved H!P hardcore since May '04. However, the first time I ever saw her (and any H!P girls) was in October '02.  I went to her 20th b-day concert this past September (where I met Romi!), and I also went to her concert in Kumagaya, Saitama the following week with Com-verse buddy Universus. :lol:

I was staying in Japan for a bit back in 1999 (wow, I was 10 years old x____x) and was watching some TV at the hotel room, hoping to catch Sailormoon or another cartoon, lol! but, then the "Love Machine" PV was starting on some channel and I decided to watch it out of curiousity. I fell in love with the song, the video and of course...MAKI!

 she stood out to me in terms of appearance first of all, her face was very different from the rest of the girls in the group, but in a good way of course. also, that blonde hair was definitely eye-catching! she then stood out to me next in terms of vocals. overtime, she stood out (and still does) in many more ways!

and at the ending of the Love Machine PV, that infamous wink (and adorable curious look she gives to the guy in the PV) stole my soul forever and I've been supporting Maki the best I can, no matter what.

Gocchin in my life:
let c, i love Goddess Gocchin since 2001 summer. my bro told me about this girl in a morning group which looks really cute. first he showed me RR21 then some other mm pvs. i was like yeah she is hot. and we laughed bcoz we thought they were singing "pikachu pikachu..." during the chorus..lol. but since back then i werent into entertainment, just animes so i just thought wow cool japanese girls, and didnt pay them any mind. i dun really remember wat happen, but sth crushed my heart, total heartbreak, so i watched back some pvs my bro showed me b4. then Gocchin was like a magnet to me, i couldnt stop looking at her in mm pvs, esp in RR21 my first pv. then i start search for her stuff and info using the comp i had back then. Which was really difficult, my comp was like very old, some of the hardwares werent even made anymore, and my internet was dial-up (super slow type), that lasted for a year or so, until i bought a new comp and got adsl, so maybe bcoz i gone thru so much in luving Gocchin. so thats why im loyal to her.
o! yeah, and since 2001 was my first yr of high sch, i couldnt control my feelings i was like writing her name both in kanji and romanji all over my  sch stuff. esp in my notebooks, drawing her pics everywhere i was like insane, uncontrollable. until one day i wrote a poem bout her which was quite simple, but 2 of my classmate, notices i was writing about this girl name "maki" again, they dun even know her, but just to tease me, they said some cruel stuff, so i started a small fight and arguement w/them, i was vexing w/them, but after that day, then came to me and apologize almost every day, so i forgive them, coz they were a bother lol. o well i think im starting to get bored.  8)

Hi. I'm 17 years old, living in a quiet little town in N.Ireland, and I've been a Makiholic for over a year now.  :P  

My interest in Maki, or rather H!P in general, all started when I was looking for the self proclaimed 'Hot Chicks' topic in one of the forums that I go to. One of the members had posted an image of the Gooch up and I was immediately enthralled weren't we all when we saw any of the girls for the first time?. It was only after given links to H!P PV's through his ftp site, that I knew about the other girls and saw that not only are they God's gift to all mankind, but made catchy, up-lifting pop music which was a real contrast to what I usually listen to.

My favourite will always be Maki. Sure Mari's got the infectious laugh, Ayaka with the legs and Miki with the death stare, but just when I think I've got a new favourite, Maki comes along and pulls me right back. She can do no wrong.  :D

Well... for me it was kind of random luck that I saw Maki on some Japanese webpage (I think it was ZAPPY??). I remembered thinking *hey...she's cute...*. After some researching and listening to some of her songs, there was abosolutely NO going back form there!  :ROFL

First time I noticed Maki was in the DoIt!Now PV 2002 right before her graduation. ... at first Konkon caugt my eye but i was totally speechless
when I saw Maki.After that I tried to get as much Information as I could related to Maki and MorningMusume cuz until then I only knew Utada and BoA.Thats how I rly  got into the J-Pop.But after a month I got distracted by school and thats why I lost interest in the whole thing again.After about 1 year of concentrating on school I finally had time to get into the whole thing again.
And since then I try to support Maki as much as possible.And H!P became a big part of my life :P

Hi everyone
I just started to listen to Maki like two weeks before the we heard that she was releasing a new song. I got a hold of her best of CD and just love the songs on it. I think my first maki purchase will be a DVD though 'cos she knows how to rock a concert.

I figured to post here since I am brand new to this community. Hello to all Maki fans~!

Anyway, about two years ago, a friend sent me a Morning Musume song, "Mr. Moonlight", and I instantly fell in love with it. I then researched the group and found Maki was a solo artist, so I got some of her stuff and it all goes from there. I think she has a beautiful voice and she is a beautiful person. I can safely say that she is my favorite singer of all time XD.

As for me, I go by my middle name, Mia, online. I'm 18 years old and starting university in the fall. I hope to major in Japanese/Media Studies and travel to Japan to study ^^.

Anywho, I first discovered her when watching her on ayuready? and I really liked her song, "Uwasa no Sexy Guy". But, I didn't find it in me to look further into her. Of course, now, I'm interest has risen. Glass no Pumps has really made me love her. I hope to continue to be a fan! She's great!

Okay, I'm not a Maki addict, but I'm a fan.

When I was starting to become a fan of Momusu/H!P last year, my converter [the guy who introduced me] gave me the "Happy Summer Wedding" PV, and that was how I found Maki. So I really liked her [as well as Aibon] even after I found out that she had graduated a few years before I found the group. ^^

hmmm i read a lot of interesting stories about how people got into the Maki fandom, so i feel like writing mine too.

a little about me, i'm 18, live in Australia.. Been Makiholic for 3.5 years now. How it started was i found a picture of her on some website can't remember this was the picture

So yeah research and i found a link on some forum for the Ai no Bakayarou PV, which i loved so much and then lead to a few MM PVs Do It Now and Happy Summer Wedding i think. Then i just stopped for like a 5 month period from all H!P. Later i found Daite Yo PLEASE GO ON PV and since then Makiholic. So Maki is the reason i liked H!P and no matter how good or bad which ever way you want to descibe her new PVs and PBs..

Maki's my first real introduction to Momusu,which I never really paid much attention to.
the first time I saw here was around late '03 on tv in a business hotel Tokyo. It was the Genshoku Gal PV. She was cute and song was catchy. Later she performed it live on stage(tv). She was wearing sexy black leather shorts and her dancing was :shocked: . But I soon left Japan and forgot about her.  
A year later I found about HP and Maki.  She's definately one of my faves. :D

I kind of just discovered Maki, H!P and Jpop earlier this year. I do remember seeing the Manpower PV online sometime probably mid 2005 but I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I saw some news magazine on TV about Morning Musume and they said how it was a Japanese girl group like Menudo, where members graduate as they get too old. Also they mentioned that some mysterious producer controlles everything. I thought it was kind of weird and did nothing for a while.

One day I seached for some stuff on youtube and stumbled on a few MM PVs and and I think SEXY BOY was the first one I saw and I thought they were cute. I also found some old stuff, most noteably Koi no Dance Site and some old shows like the Mechaike field trip special, where Maki caught most of my attention. :)

Anyways I searched for some info and pics on Maki and stumbled upon some pics from the Dear. . .PB and :heart: I was in love. I read up on the history of MM on wikipedia and learned that Maki had long graduated and was now solo, so I looked up her music and videos and started to really like her stuff.

I remember downloading the Selection Collection concert and Maki was like an angel with Suppin to Namida and then blew me away with Daite yo! :heart: Then I downloaded the Elder Club concert and Gocchin was so awesome that I hardly noticed anyone else! Shortly after that I found this forum and have been following ever since, gathering and learning everything I could. :D

Well thats the story of how I discovered Maki, at least thats what I can recall. Maybee a little too detailed now that I see it. :shock:

Well my other hobbies um... I like computergames, internet, partying with friends, reading.. ^^; and so on

Maki was my introduction in a j-pop-addiction .. a friend, called "Lunarr" here in this forum, gave me the download link for the so-called "Goto-Maki-Positive-Genki-OPV" - I guess that was the name^^; Well i downloaded it.. I watched it... and i watched it another time. I think i watched it 5times in a raw after i downloaded it .. I just was so fascinacted by this "happy" music and her cuteness. This was just about 9 months ago I think.

Well now she is my absolute one and only godess <3 (but i also really enjoy Biyuuden, Ayaya, Nacchi and Co.)

7 years ago i got to know MM from Love Machine PV and sure the one who made me crazy was a 3 rd gen member "Goto Maki". Her cutie wink at the end of the pv just killing me. At that time i was so inlove with C-POP so i won't pay much interest in MM but i still catch up all the news of Maki.

During 2000, when i heard that they will go to Sydney for Oympic promotion, i was like .. wth ... i was in Australia at that time and i swear to myself i will walk around Oympic ground and some sight seeing place 'til i meet them but god not give me gifts :(

The day i heard the annoucement of Maki's graduation, i was like "heartbreak". MM without Maki.. how it will be like?? i can't stand that at first but sure i still support Maki. Time past by, i realised that my interest on MM is lesser and lesser. I love MM cos of Maki and that's the end story of MM and me but the new chapter of me and Maki as a solo artist.

I frist start worried about her when i watch her first solo concert. She looked a bit stress in the concert but she still did a good job too. Also she so damn skinny during scramble. BTW .. her next concert, GMO3A just rock. She did a good job especially during the last MC.

During 2004, i kinda worried on her heath again cos she was so skinny or may be cos of she had her hair cut so it made her look more so skinny than scramble period or may be cos of tight schedule of her GM03S concert. Anyway.., My love for her never ever decreased but i love her more and more.

I found this site during sep 2005, and even more happier when GMED was established :heart:  and finally my dream will come true. This year i will attend GM06A concert. I just can't wait for that moment. The moment i will hear she sings live XD

That's the brief story of me and Maki so far :P

Hi,
I've been a Maki Goto fan for longer than I want to admit - she was after all, just a gangly teenager when she sang "It's Easy". But that was my start. That funny bowlegged stance and bouncy moves were fascinating. Next was "Genshu Gal" with that red plaid skirt and wild booty shakin' - Babe ba ba bebebebe - ha! That was a fun performance! OMG I almost forgot Scramble - that's when Maki began to really use those assets - her killer legs to best advantage.

Maki was growing up, commanding the stage and teaming up with all the other emerging divas - Aya, Miki, Rika.

Now for me the all-time best concert was the Folk Songs 3 with Miki and ?? (I forgot). Most enjoyable. And the all time best song -  Suppin to Namida. Every person, every artist has moments when all the stars align. That was one for Maki - perfect match of voice, tempo, sentiment and execution. By the time she gets to "Thank you! Memories!", I'm in a puddle of tears.

Advancing to recent times: I'm both happy and sad. First, I can respect her bold attempts to get into acting - I was shocked to see her faking that orgasm in the lesbian video. But after all, it's just acting - and she actually pulled it off successfully. But daaaaammmnn - Glass No Pumps! Oh no! What is she thinking? And the most recent (yes, mine is on order from CDJapan, so shut up, ok?) "Some Boys Touch" - don't we have enough people trying to be Koda Kumi (you can't touch that - she's the best floor crawling slinky girl).

Maki, stop it please (after my DVD ships of course)! Get back to some real singing and stage performance. I will support whatever you do, but ...

well.. my opinion is .. Maki is Maki. She's not trying to be kuchan or whoelse but she's Goto Maki. She has her own sexy style. I must admit i half like and half against her new image but it just think she's doing her job. It's just what tsunku give her new image to test if this is will work with her. In real life, if u watch One fine day Goto Maki or making of Foxy Gocchin, u will see Maki is still a playful girl unlike her new image in her last two SG. :P

Ok yeah I see your point. Thanks for the welcome. You bet I'm gonna support her. What a damned fine woman she has grown up to be. She has a better body than most "AV" idols - would hate to see her drift in that direction though. I'm no prude, but c'mon this is little Maki - I watched her grow up! :D :heart:

^ arian - I know Kyobu from the The Hello!Project Boot and Immune Game which he started on in H!P Crapola. It's a cool game and lots of fun...so I am taking a moment to plug it here on The Official Maki Addicts Intro Thread.

If you are a Maki addict reading this post check out the game. Gocchin fans like Kyobu and me are doing our best to support her (and our other favs at the same time) but it would be nice to see some other Maki Addicts showing support for Gocchin as well. We just started a new game..we are in Round 2 and Gocchin is close to elimination! :o ...she has little to no support at all. :cry:

I'm not sure when I exactly got into Maki.  My first introduction to HP was about 6-7 years ago.  My friend had a couple of friends visiting from Japan.  We went to a karaoke bar and they sang Love Machine.  

I was totally into that song from then.  I guess little by little, I started to learn about HP and Momusu.  I think it was when I first saw Maki's first PB that I realized that she was my favorite.

I didn't always like Maki, I can't really why say though. I always did like her music, and found a lot of her photobooks really stunning. Recently though (esp. since Glass no Pumps & now the 10th anniversary group) she's been moving up in my list of favorite members.

Maki is really beautiful and sings and dances so great. When she was younger she was so cute and she turned out to be a sexy, stunning beauty now. :heart:

I really can't get over how beautiful she is in photobooks (I loved her pics from Chain! Chain! Chain!). I recently ordered her "Dear" pb, because I love all the shots from it and it'll be coming really soon so I can't wait. I'll probably buy Foxy Fungo when I have a more disposable income.

Hm, what can I say about maki...
She started to interest me with a live of "Genshoku Gal hade ni yuku be" and "Glass no Pumps" and "Some Boys! Touch" PVs, after that I listenned to her oldest songs, like "Sans toi ma mie", "Daite yo! PLEASE GO ON", "Ai no Bakayarou" and "Yaruki! IT'S EASY", and I was astonished by her strong and splendid voice.
Finally, I've seen the "Goto Maki Captain Kouen" concert, now I'm falling in love with her, she's an awesome dancer and singer, I love Maki :inlove:

u may have notice just the odd post from me round here, well Maki has just suddenly jumped up in my eyes, I don't know how I never noticed her before.
Maybe it's her recent image, I think it's a mix of seeing haropuro party and her recent 2 songs.  They're totally unlike my normal taste of music but somehow I love them.  I've always liked some of her songs but yeah...love her now.
So i decided to download and watch her latest concert and just wow, I dun wanna buy her old ones, I wanna see more with her dancers etc. I love it!!
was her concert before this(it was FC or secret or both or something) similar in that way??
Anyway, yeah so hello I'm now a Maki fan for real!! ^_^ nice to meet you all!

oh my bad.... i forgot to introduce my self before posting in the UMAI........ u know... i love gocchin soo much.... this is started with only loving her physically, and end up with loving anythings about her..... her personality, her smile, the way she talk, her voice, her dance, her legs, and her boobs off course :P .... the first time i know her is from local magazine.... it was also the first time i knew momusu... back then gocchin still in momusu.....

I think she is probably one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. I really love her smile! It just makes me wanna giggle or something. I also think it's cool that she has her belly button pierced. Her voice is so strong and powerful. She can pretty much sing anything. I first noticed her on the cover of the 4th Morning Musume album. She just looked soo cool!

well, she is not my favorite singer (ayu owns everything) but i definitely like gocchin (she is hot like hell!  :inlove: )

i'm tsutomo, brazilian, 21 years old, been living for two years in japan, now i'm back to studying and... well, i like her recent songs and the way she squeezes her boobs.   XD

So... anybody counted the seconds she appears in H!P DVD Magazine 14?

I came to about 10 seconds total I think.
No photoshoots, no 'Hi!' to any backstage camera (not even in the background) only 2 very short backstage appearances, and only a few on stage shots.

UFA is starting to rewrite the 2007 history...

I been a Maki fan since day 1 almost, since watching renai revolution, then after when she done her first 2/3 PBs it just over powered me  :banghead: :banghead:

what i like most about maki is probaly her personality she's lovely active bold and modest also she has a hot body which adds as a bonus ! anyways my fellow allies
