Title: The Dumbing Down of America
Post by: meowchi on July 08, 2008, 10:14:20 PM
Has anyone else noticed how stupid so many people are? Just watch TV and if you have any brains you can see right thru the manipulation tactics of commercials which are by far the dumbest in the world. Do people really buy those assinine magazines about celebrities? Who gives a crap what some no talent bimbo is doing? Do they give a rat's ass what you are doing?

People standing on long lines all night to get the newest electronic "made in china" piece of plastic garbage with features that just prove how void of a brain or life they really are.

Driving SUV's or those grotesque Hummers and supporting the parasites that are destroying this planet. The freakin' Saudis still execute people in the public square every Friday. China has slave labor...and these are our allies? WOW. Just- wow.

Black Friday? Now they are making a holiday event out of the ridiculous buying frenzy at Walmart and other corporate hogs that are screwing this country. Just stuff these morons into cattle cars that make stops at every big box store until they drop from exhaustion, then spray them with a hose to revive them again.

The dumbness is enough to make me throw up!

Sometimes I think it's not as bad as it's made out to be. It's really the media that makes the entire country seem ridiculous. They blow everything out of proportion and always show the most extreme or biased aspects of everything. I'm not denying that some of these things aren't true, but I don't think it's fair to base America on what's on the television and shows with "no talent bimbos." Most of those are scripted anyway and not true to life at all.

As for China being America's ally... I think that's more about security than anything. Honestly. If China was against America, we'd be in a hell of a lot of trouble.

And corporate hogs aren't just in America. And not everybody goes crazy on Black Friday. Once again, this is a media thing where they show you only one side of the story. The people who sit in their homes and don't have enough money to go on those spending sprees aren't "interesting to watch." That is what is dumb. I know more nice, caring, environmental conscious, middle-class, working people than I do those crazies that are all over TV.
