The reason I'm starting a thread is because I saw a couple of A&E biographies about these freaks.
I would have to say that the most notorious would be Ed Gein. He was the one they based silence of the lambs, the texas chainsaw massacre, and psycho after.
As for the most disturbing overall, my vote goes to Canada's very own Robert "Willie" Pickton, a pig farmer who killed up to 54 prostitutes, put their bodies through a wood chipper and fed them to his pigs.
Many of these hogs were made into sausage and sold to the public.
