A person's life?
An event in history?
You name it!!

If done right, then The Dark Tower series of novels by Stephen King. Doubt there will be as many films as there are books (of which there are 7 novels) so I would imagine things would have to be condensed, perhaps the first 2 books melded together. Also would like to see the Troy series of novels adapted as well. Though even more unlikely as there already is an average movie called Troy already out, but if these movies were made it would be a triumph. Helikaon is fucking badass.

A friend of mine suggested that the next "Indiana Jones" movie portray Jet Li as a grown-up "Short Round."
A couple sports suggestions:
-- Jackie Robinson and the Brooklyn Dodgers, and
-- Jesse Owens at the '36 Berlin Olympiad.

-- Jesse Owens at the '36 Berlin Olympiad.
I'm actually surprised there's no adaptation to that! Given the historic content already- I'd definitely shell out 10 bucks for it...

I think there have been more movies about HORSES from that time period...

If it was made well, a Flash movie.

I think there is movie planned for 2009

Definetly second that :w00t:

it was supposed to happen but now its not, sooooo i guess i can say Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

I too would love to see the Dark Tower series. they've been in talks about it forever, Stephen King is just worried about doing it right, it is his magnum opus afterall.
I would also love to see Y: The Last Man, which I believe is in pre-production/rumor stage, so I'm happy about that. can't think of much else right now

Neon Genesis Evangelion.
And not some crappy one. Something along the lines of Transformers in terms of action. But with the philosophical and psychological backdrop of the original story.
It's a long shot, but I'd love to see it actually done.

Theyve been in talks for some time about making a live action Eva movie. spielburg of course is attached, or rumored to be attached...or smth

I'd so love to see more of Neil Gaiman's works on the bigscreen. There's just plenty of stuff who fits perfectly, Anansi Boys being one of them. Or American Gods!
But yeah, The Dark Tower would be really interesting!

World War Z by max brooks. just read it, its sick

WHAT?
-superspaz-
That was going to be made into a movie? I love that book.
Anyways, I'd have to say Valiant by Holly Black. It's an amazing book.

One of the more bizzare (to me, anyway) movie projects is an adaptation of Michael Lewis' book, MONEYBALL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moneyball). Brad Pitt is supposed to star.
I loved the book and its narrative about the triumph of Smart People. But a Hollywood movie? Jeez, maybe a graphic novel first...
-
I am still waiting for the Battle Angel Alita Movie.

OSC didn't want to "condescend to green screen Hollywood". But it looks like (according to wiki), that he completed the script for another film production company, and they're assembling a production team. So Yay!

YAY!
I kinda think Ender's Shadow would translate better to a movie, but that's probably because it's my favorite.
XD

David Webers Honor Harrington series would be awesome. More Serenity. Robotech(oh wait that ones supposed to be being made). Any of R.A. Salvatores books.
