Sesame Street is bad?
I’ve always suspected that Cookie Monster couldn’t like normal cookies that much.
 Even as a weetle girl I figured it could've only been space-cake, or rather space-cookies.

My thoughts:
I think Dave Chapelle nailed it when he described Sesame Street as "a way to get kids used to inner-city life". Snuffalupagus was the heroin addict (always dopesick), Oscar was a grouchy homeless guy, and Bert and Ernie were the gay couple next door.
His observations are intentionally comical, but I think he is on the right track.
In any case, I watched it regularly as a kid and I turned out fine.

 sure
I was more into gi joe and ninja turtles, but I watched quite a bit of it because of my sister who's only about a year older.
But yeah Chappelle hit the mark on that one. It's educational on so many levels :P

I think the first joke I ever learned was from Sesame Street.
"What does a duck eat for a snack? Milk and quackers!"
XD

I used to watch Sesame Street all the time as a child. And now that I think about it, a lot of that is true.
It seems like I turned out ok...... XD

zomg, when I read the title of this thread the first thing that popped into my head (other than yummy cookies which I am currently eating) was the bit on Chapelle's live where he was going off about the cookie monster being on crack and just plain old making fun of Sesame street. I've seen that twice and cracked up both times.
Proud to say I never watched Sesame street growing up, only heard about it. One of the advantages of living overseas and a lack of dubbing Sesame street as it was redundant XD
