(CNN) -- Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film "Shaft," has died, sheriff's officials in Memphis, Tennessee, reported Sunday. (http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/08/10/hayes.obit/index.html)


OMG.... Bernie Mac just passed away, and now we've just lost another one of the greats. :(

My most sincere condolences to the Hayes family..... my goodness... just at a loss for words nows.

Rest In Peace, Isaac, you'll never be forgotten. :prayers:

first Bernie..now Isaac..never thought it would happen in two days.

I'm shock..may he rest in peace :(
