GIRL NEXT DOOR is Avex's latest group and consists of singer Chisa, guitarist Inoue Yuji, and keyboardist Suzuki Daisuke and debuted in March of 2008. Their first single 'Guuzen no Kakuritsu (available below) was released on September 3rd and finished the week in the #3 spot on the oricon charts. To attack the market, the group is releasing 3 singles in 3 months (starting with the Sept. release of Guuzen no Kakuritsu).

The sound to me, at least from this first single, is ELT crossed with Ayu lol. first single is pretty good, i enjoy it. looking forward to see what they bring in the future.

I really like the song and I think they'll be a group I'll totally check out again. And the 3 singles in 3 months thing is kind of crazy, but hopefully it will work as a nice approach to get their name out there and recognized.

They r definitely an AVEX artist :cow: so Avex like song arrangement which is kool :D
somehow their songs sounds similar to Ayumi's on 2002 - 2003

daigong posted a PV from them in the random youtube thread. I wasn't really digging that one, but this song is pretty nice. It sounds like Avex is trying to go back to their sound from a few years ago, which I really liked.

I really like this single... especially the ice cream mix. It's quite dance-able. :heart: I'm not sure about the other mix yet. It's not bad, but not quite my style. The c/w is also pretty amazing. Once again, this leaves me wanting to check them out again.

They really remind me of old-school 90's JPop, which I love, so naturally I love them :P
I'll definitely be picking up their album when it releases.

Starting to get a signature feel from the group.
Watched the PV for Jounetsu no Daishou. They sure aren't holding back on the cash. It looked so nice I watched it twice. :lol:
But I was hoping for an evil twist at the end, like her being stuck inside watching them having fun but not caring anymore. I'm bad. :P

It’s been announced that musical trio GIRL NEXT DOOR will sing a theme song for the new Ultraman movie “Ultraman Zero The Movie: Super Deciding Fight! The Belial Galactic Empire.” The movie was made to celebrate the franchise’s 45th anniversary of the Ultraman series.
The theme song is titled “Unmei no Shizuku ~Destiny’s star~,” and this will be their first theme song for a movie.
In addition, GIRL NEXT DOOR will co-star with 11 various Ultramans in the PV for the track. The PV will also be linked to the most important scene in the movie.
“Ultraman Zero The Movie: Super Deciding Fight! The Belial Galactic Empire” will be released in theaters on December 23rd. The theme song “Unmei no Shizuku ~Destiny’s star~” is set to be released a day before on December 22nd.
