A sad day. I read all his books, and most were excellent. Jurassic Park influenced a whole generation of youth.

I watched ER for almost 10 years...

It's really sad that he won't get to see the conclusion of E.R. or live to see how many of his predictions would come true.

I read some of his books and now he's gone..

heard this this morning and have been bummed about it all day. Michael Crichton was on of my favorite authors, I've been eagerly anticipating his new book (was due out Dec 2, but its being pushed back now until May 4 '09). I've seen every episode of ER (most several times).

Damn it... :( I used to be quite obsessed with Jurassic Park at one point too as a kid.

I was pretty bummed when I heard this.  He was one of my favorite authors.  All his crazy scientific ideas and what humans can do with it... great storyteller.  RIP Mr.Chricton.
