^I can't wait for the translation :on GJ:
-
^And done. :P Nods to Stardust (http://jpopstardust.blogspot.com/2008/11/new-stars-jet-off.html) for posting a short summary of the article as well, I just fleshed it out. XD The girls are so cute!
=======
The Hello! Project family, set up by the well known Japanese producer and musician Tsunku, inducts their first handpicked overseas group. From the day (11/8) when they first started out on their strict dancing and singing training regime while going through the preparations for their first album, the group members who only have an average age of 16 years are all excited and nervously anticipating their trip to Japan, with hopes that the results of their training will exceed expectations and be able to achieve recognition for Taiwan.
Since its beginnings in 1997, this is the first time the H!P family has held an audition outside of Japan. Through the 4 months of competition on Taiwanese television program 「Hello Project New Star」, from over a thousand beautiful young Taiwanese girls, six of the elite had been chosen. These six girls have become the first foreign group that made it through official auditions to enter H!P. After the competition, Forward Records and H!P have spent over a month detailing the contents of the contract as well as the rules of the company, as well as discussing the preparations of their debut album. After all the related affairs have been confirmed and dealt with, the six girls set off towards Japan on the morning of 11/8 to embark on the official H!P training regime, as well as to record the Japanese-language songs of their first album.
The dawn of 11/8 saw the six members gathering at the company building before heading to the airport. Though the sun had not fully risen, all the girls looked energetic, with some indication that some of them had been too excited to even sleep at all, getting even more excited as they looked at their own passports. The 12 year old Gu Yun, whose father is known athlete Gu Jinshui, also mobilized the entire family to see his daughter off to the assembly point at the company. When ask about how his precious daughter's first trip overseas would be without the company of family, Gu Jinshui indicated that his daughter was independent and an obedient child, so he had nothing much to worry about nor did he specially have anything to say to her, only hoping that Gu Yun would not squander such a hard won opportunity and to do her best.
Zeng Deping, who once gave people an image of one who is boke and often late for appointments (Me: like Eri? o_O XD), was the first to arrive at the assembly point. She indicates that ever since being chosen, she has been diligently memorizing the intonations and pronunciations of the Japanese language, in hopes to build a solid foundation before tackling proper conversational skills. With all the support of her family and classmates behind her, she does not want to let them down.
Qiu Cui Ling, the second youngest at 14 years old, was always worrying that she would not be able to keep up with the training, but after her family told her that whether or not she could keep up had nothing to do with her age, but with her own effort, she has since settled down more, often mumbling words of encouragement to herself for motivation.
"Lightbulb", otherwise known as Zhao Guorong, was down with a cold, and is just as much of a worrywart. While sending her luggage through customs, she heard a notice that liquids and fluids were forbidden on their carry-on luggage, which made her so worried that she asked the staff members: "What do I do? I brought my medicine with me...will I be taken as a terrorist?". Her nervous expression and reaction was very adorable.
Anqi (Zhong Anqi) and Joy (Wu Si Xuan), who are closer in age, had a more mature, reliable image, often taking note of where the other girls were and how they were doing. When free, both would take out their lyric sheets and practice together.
As the girls had already seen on video how the Morning Musume girls had had to go through a tough training process before their debuts, they were understandably nervous about having to go through the same regime, not relaxing despite already having the release of their first album confirmed. But when the girls started talking about what was most important on their trip to Japan, it was, shockingly, "to go to Disneyland"! There is no doubt that this was the thoughts of young girls.
As it turned out, besides arranging their strict training regimes and recording schedules, Tsunku had already instructed the staff not to forget to take the girls out around Tokyo for sightseeing in order to give them a break. Apart from wanting to go to Disneyland, the girls also hope they have a chance to see their senpais in H!P in person, to ask for advice in how to become a professional idol and entertainer.
「Hello!Project New Star」's new album is projected for release before the turn of the lunar new year (Me: Somewhere in early 2009, before February, approximately?). As for the official group name, it will be decided by the Japanese producers on this trip after more consultation with Forward Records, and announced on another date.
==================
Credits to me I guess? Lol.
I think I'm liking them more already. Especially that Lightbulb girl...so cute, so...H!P material. XDDD Her terrorist comment....rofl...so paranoid. Adorable indeed. XD
Can't wait to hear more from them. ;)
-
Thanks so much. Want to hear H!P song in Mandarin. That would be great. (not that I can understand any of that)
-
Awesome job Estrea! :pimp:
Man, I'm really excited for their debut! New groups are always exciting. :yep:
-
They look like such a lovely, cheerful group of girls. Thanks lots for the translation!
-
Oooooh! They look like they'll be fun!
-
Oooh this is exciting, Hello! Project needs some new talent and with the recent news of the Elder Club's mass
culling graduation this is good news! :)
-
Thank you for translating Estrea! This is pretty cool, I wasn't expecting to hear from them till well into next year.
-
Thanks so much for the translation!!!
And finally, their names!!!
I have high expectations for these girls  And they're what I've been looking forward to the most since the results were announced!
One of the girls looks really different from before o-o Really tanned o-o;;
-
Thanks for the translation Estrea really well done :on GJ:
And it's really cute the way they worry about the upcoming hardships, and already willing to do their best. I can't wait for their debut single, as well as I can't wait for the announcement about the name of the group.
-
Thanks for the translation, Estrea.
Great to know that the girls are working on their debut album soon. Looking forward to it. Ganbare, H!P NEW STAR!
Also, did any of the members cited who they like the most in all the H!P members? MoMusu members?
-
But they did hold auditions outside of Japan.... Coconuts Musume? XD
-
Thank you Estrea for the translation!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what these girls can do, and what they will be doing. They look like they'll be fun and happy.

the guy in the picture is Yoshitake Tanaka, Country Musume's original producer.
He is promoting Hokkaido's dairy in Taiwan, the article also keeps talking about the Milk Industry's making millions of yen in Hokkaido. Ice Cream Musume (アイスクリーム娘。) is the name of the new group! :muffin: Sounds cool and tasty XD

Best. Name. Ever.
-
Oh. My. God.
What a name. XD
-
I think I is having to go buy ice cream, now...
But not a bad name.
-
Sounds so cute, i can't hate this name. xD
-
I love that name xD
-
I LOVE ICE CREAM!!!
Hahahahah corny but cute name, orsm.
-
Love the name XD
But besides that I'm not holding my breath. Cause they are going to record japanese songs right?
JunJun is my favorite MM now and LinLin I like alot. But in the beginning it was kinda painful cause of their bad japanese. =/ LinLin is awesome now (well, she's been an egg alot longer) and JunJun is improving greatly, and it was fine in MM cause they didn't sing that much in beginning (but now they don't sing at all! pisses me of! :banghead: ).
I have a hard time listening to crappy japanese so I would prefer them (Ice Cream Musume) singing in Taiwanese. x3
-
Yeah I'd love to listen to them sing in their own language! It's beautiful! F.I.R. is Taiwanese and I love them and the sound of the language is a part of the reason why :3

Cheers, good to know.. I hope they post lots of pics!!
Btw does anyone have their Taiwanese names? Like, properly romanized, not guesses or machine-translated. Since we know Junjun and Linlin's real names, it'd be nice to have theirs, too. lol
EDIT: And because I don't like how they write Ice Creamusume, I think I'll call them ICM or something. LOL!
-
I think these are right. That's what they were labeled on the H!O picboard awhile back anyway, and I saw these same name on a blog I can't remember now.... So I saved the pictures as the names.

Thanks :D I guess there's no way I'll learn their names LOL
EDIT: uh oh, they don't have Lightbulb's name though ;_;
EDIT2: it was on some youtube video, nvm lol
-
Eh, I'm passive about this group. But I'm willing to lend an ear to the girls. :) Hearing them sing will be interesting. And I must say, the one girl who grabbed my attention (before I read absolutely anything at all about them) is... I think people are calling Lightbulb-chan? *checks thread again* Ah, Youko. I dunno, I prefer calling them by their panda names. :cow: Good luck to these girls!
Oh, and I like the name of the group. xD
-
Haha, totally not surprised with the "pandapanda" nicknames.
At first I wasn't so sure about this group, but I'm intrigued to hear what they'll sound like. They seem like an interesting group.
And personally, I'm partial to Shenshen and Reirei. :)

Old school Momusu look anyone?
-
I like the look, it's basically an up to date version of the original MM look(hoodies instead of polos etc) and I think it's a good look :D
They all look so cosey together :)
-
This looks so adorable! I think I'm slowly getting back into the H!P fandom...
-

natalie.mu reported, which is always a good sign.

The Chinese version of lead song "Enter Love" MV, will be shown on Yahoo radio! soon. The song Enter Love will be released both in Chinese in the Taiwanese minialbum (1/9) and Japanese version for the Japan release (Date TBA) most likely according to Taiwan news. :)
-
Cute covers, but now you definitely can't deny they are going for the old school morning musume look:
(http://i39.tinypic.com/vmt5vl.png) (http://i42.tinypic.com/e86g7b.png)
Obviously they aren't blatant copies, but there are seemingly blatant similarities. Not that I have anything wrong with that... as I think the girls kind of have that old exciting energy that Momusu had way back then.

Lyrics:
戀愛革命21
乾杯乾杯BABY 管它紙杯還是高腳杯
Oh yes 氣氛High了就對
快變身吧BABY 今天時尚明天很學園
Oh yes 選定對象狂追
親愛的你要誠實Tell Me Tell Me
寂寞的時候心裡想誰 想誰
是不是等著淪陷Tell Me Tell Me
讓我做第一順位 空降部隊
為戀愛瘋狂 為工作繁忙
全宇宙都像是零時差
放聲大哭吧 肚子餓了吧
Love Revolution 21
往前走吧Baby
就算高跟鞋斷了兩截
Oh Yes!赤腳更有感覺
唱首情歌Baby
儘管破音不用扮鬼臉
Oh Yes!甜蜜讓人昏厥
親愛的你要誠實Tell Me Tell Me
沉默是因為害羞 對吧 對吧
是不是做好準備Tell Me Tell Me
讓愛情登陸我們小小世界
為戀愛芬芳 汗水滴滴答
全宇宙放射愛的能量
放膽相愛吧 盡情擁抱吧
Love Revolution 21
戀愛的魔法 相遇的形狀
就算老梗還是人人愛
All together Now
All together Now
換點空氣讓愛更漂亮
為戀愛芬芳 汗水滴滴答
全宇宙放射愛的能量
放膽相愛吧 盡情擁抱吧
Love Revolution 21
Alltogether Now
Alltogether Now
換點空氣讓愛更漂亮
Alltogether Now
Alltogether Now

Stardust blog has the music video of liàn ài dēng chăng: http://jpopstardust.blogspot.com/2008/12/ice-creams-love-3.html
-
I actually think a video more based around showing off their personality is a good thing right now!
It's so cute! I like the song too! Catchy and just...pretty awesome ^_^
-
I like! It's not exactly awesome, but it's super cute. The video was all kinds of cute too!
-
I love the song, but the video was a little disappointing. They aren't even lipsynching the song, which makes me think they are just going to pop the japanese track on right over this.
However, it was nice to see all the girls be cute and show themselves a bit. I just wish there was something a LITTLE more to this video.
-
Thanks for the link :3
They aren't even lipsynching the song, which makes me think they are just going to pop the japanese track on right over this.
Yeah that's what I thought! Just throw the other track over it. lol
Ah I wasn't expecting much so I'm not that disappointed. Already their blog pics that were from the PV shoot showed that they were going to be in front of a white canvas (..I think), so already then I figured out that they would have a preeeetty plain PV.
But with that being said, since I'm just getting to know them, right now I'm content with just staring at them do cute faces and act like silly little fools. If this was a Momusu PV, I'd be so much more upset.
So yeah. A cute debut, I guess... I'll be expecting more in the future, though! *shakes fist*
-
Simple but cute song. It's what Taiwan likes, nevertheless, so I expect a big repercussion. :D

Just listened to the album. I had no idea they were going to sing songs in Mandarin! That's freakin' awesome :) Loving the album so far.
My favs are 'Ame no Furanai' because it's a beautiful song and 'Go Girl ~Lian Ai Sheng Li~' because it sounds kinda funny.
Actually, I dislike the name of the group.. a lot! Seems completely uninspired.. aw well.

^wooo so awesome!
Why the xbox360 though??
-
looks like an xbox event... but is not in Japan so why they ended singing in japanese?
-
^In all their live performances of lian ai deng chung it's half chinese half japanese.
They did it for the street performances too.(the ones with the megaphones)
