This reminds me to contact my cable for NHK...

I was gonna skip this year, but then I saw that Mr.Children and SPEED were going to perform. How can I miss that! Wanna see DBSK too.

Last year I was so exited about Shokotan, AKB48 and Leah Dizon and they were all done within 3 minutes  :doh:

This year I just want to see Ai Otsuka performing 'Ai'  :)

The BIG letdown for me is that Hikawa Kiyoshi isn't going to close the show with an original song from this year.  He had a couple good ones, including the song nominated for the friggin' Record Taisho!  So it goes: tis the season to do your old songs (see: Mori Shinichi, Speed, Maekawa Kiyoshi, Ishikawa Sayuri).

I hope Jero rocks the house.

shit, nobody that i know has skyTV with NHK -__________- i freaking want to see THSK/DBSK.

I love Kouhaku for all the old enka stuff.  I only saw last years via youtube cos all the torrents were insanely huge.

Hey, can anyone help me? :D As I said before, I'm doing a short extra credit assignment on Kouhaku. There are two questions that I can't answer:

Describe the way in which audience members cast their votes.
Describe the way in which the winning team is revealed.

Special guest? Blue Man Group? People were like wtf with them. At the end, no one even clapped, I think. They were prolly like me, "Oh it ended already?" :lol:

Costume? Mikawa's? He always had those weird costumes as big as a circus tent.

Sucks that they don't throw the red/white foam balls to the audience anymore at the end.  What ever happened to tradition?!!

Wasn't Enya the special guest?  She performed 2 songs live from a castle in Ireland.

crazy costume... Don't remember who it was, but that one person had that crazy tower as a dress.
