SeeYa (Hangul: 씨야) is a South Korean female group made up of Kim Yeonji and Lee Boram. The group name "SeeYa" came from See You Always and See You Again, which means that the group wishes to live eternally through their music for their fans. When they first debuted, they were marketed as the female version of SG Wannabe. SG Wannabe themselves handpicked the girls and trained them, also helping them produce their first album. They debuted in March 12, 2006 under GM Entertainment. A year later, they moved to MnetMedia with SG Wannabe and Lee Hyori. In 2009, they moved to CoreContentsMedia the same time their seniors, SG Wannabe, moved to IS Media.

Ah SeeYa.  I've only heard the Sad Footsteps song, but I do have their whole discography somewhere on my hard drive.  And yeah, the whole drama that happened with Nam Gyuri was something else, wasn't it?

K-pop girl band SeeYa, who have been together for five years, will soon disband, according to their agency Core Contents Media on Wednesday.

Core Contents announced in a press release that the girl group will no longer remain a group after unveiling their final album titled "Good bye my friend" on January 11 which will feature their greatest hits as well as two new songs recorded with former leader Nam Gyu-ri.

"The members of SeeYa have told me that they want to go their own ways," Kim Kwang soo, the CEO of Core Contents Media was quoted as saying, adding that they will fully support them on their future endeavors.

The trio first made their debut with original members Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Boram in 2006 with their first album "The First Mind" and have produced several popular hit songs such as "A Woman's Scent," "Shoes," "The Day" and "Love's Greeting."

The group then returned to the music scene in the latter half of last year with new member Soo-mi after Nam left the group in April 2009 to pursue a solo career.
