Title: Start of New Year to be delayed -- by a second
Post by: Foxy Brown on December 26, 2005, 06:07:08 PM
2005 will last a little longer than usual -- one second to be precise.

A leap second will be added into the world's clocks just before midnight to match up the clocks with the earth's rotation. (http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20051226/leap_second051226/20051226?hub=SciTech)
