I seriously hope that Namida flops so badly that it makes Aya go back to upbeat songs. I was a huge fan of Aya's music before the ballad era but nowadays I couldn't care less about her music. I don't even wanna hear her next album anymore :x

I kind of rolled my eyes at the fact that it was ANOTHER ballad, but it´s not that bad once I listened to it.
actually, I think it´s one of my favorites out of all the ballads she´s done so far. her voice sounds different than usual, but in a good way her songs are maturing, and I love how her singing has too in this one.
but once again, I´m hoping for a more up-beat song soon. while she´s still young enough to do them, darn it!

ummm..... after listening to it I like the melody of the song, it is soft and nice to listen. Ayaya's voice do fit to sing ballad song but I, like Masa and arian, perfer Ayaya to sing fast/up-beat songs since she has the energy to make the song more energatic.
Perhaps I feel like this song will fit more for Gocchi or Nacchi.

hmm.. another ballad.
at first listen i thought it was pretty generic, but her singing is beautiful as usual. after listening to it a few times i think the melody has a nice progression. though the arrangement could have used a little more.. it sounds plain.
the song kinda reminds me of watarasebashi.. a little. it has that feel to it. i think it'll grow on me. its not that great, but not terribly bad either.. plus ayaya sings it very well.

Yeah, somehow I feel the performance of Ayaya's singles is really, limited to the quality of the song itself, since she always pulls off the singing part..

Neverhteless, I think Maki has two covers using photo shots sold to (or done by) a magazine. Genshou and Scramble, I remember watching a bigger cover image (or an alike-looking shot) in magazines. That's why, having a picture in a magazine, doesn't make it un-able for a cover. Then again, it's probable that NAMIDA's cover is fake. I don't care too much... the song is good and it is all that matters.

Personally I think this is gonna sell good. Maybe not as good as Ki Ga Tsukeba Anata, but still good. Ayaya sings soooo good.
And the PV.... yea she looks good, but doesn't she look a bit older than 19?

It's a sweet-sounding song. I'd consider it a bit more mid-tempo than slow song. I like it.
I also saw the MS perf. It's cute the way she does the little peace signs at the end. :oops:

I was reading this interview and just thought, "Wow o_o"
Ayaya is really taking charge of her career...
As boring as this song is, her signing is wonderful in it. It really surprised me that she was pretty much in charge with the vocals. I think I see her producing her own songs in the future.

The funny thing is ... people have compared it to Watarasebashi a lot, and I have noticed the similarities as well, but just the other day I was working and listening to J-Pop in the background.
I was humming along to Watarasebashi and suddenly I noticed that it was Namida!!! That was really quite a shock for me!
But I like Aya's new song, even though it's (again!!!) a ballad! But it doesn't sound as ballad-y as her previous songs, if you know what I mean.

Aya flopped big time, who would have thought that her sales would drop that much, from 35k to 14k. That's amazing.
But to be honest I'm actually happy that she flopped because that bullshit song didn't even deserve to be a hit.
And trust me, Ayaya really needed this flop. I'm sure she will start getting good upbeat songs from now on :)

However, Maki's flops had no effect on her music. She kept releasing mediocre slow-tempo or fukcing-weird songs until now, with her LIFE, trying to sound old school, but failed. I wonder what kind of strategy are they gonna start, but the two H!P trademarks in soloist's business can't lose like that! (Nacchi is relatively newer).

oh, man. quality-wise namida beats the shit outta ima ni kitto, and aya's supposed to sell better than goto no matter what she releases. god, this is so sad :cry:
thing is i don't think ayaya would turn back to releasing upbeat songs easily without contradicting what she said on interviews and what nots, if we are to trust them. ballads really show her singing skills and maturity. too bad i really like this single.
let's hope she'll get a ki ga tsukeba anataish song next.

H!P should really take time to come up with her next single. Matsuu is super famous, she can afford not releasing any music for like half a year or more. i don't think her mature songs are bad but obviously they don't sell. It's kinda embarrassing that the face of H!P, the queen of idols is selling this bad.
This might be bias since it's my no.1 favourite song of hers, but I think they should come up with something like Oshare!. It's perfect for her! It is upbeat, is not boring, is not kiddy, doesn't require dancing and really shows off her singing skill.

The video is an absolute bore but at least she looks pretty and the melody is accepting to my ears, if not particularly energetic. I like mellow Ayaya (e.g. Wataraseabshi, Sougen no Hito) so this tune doesn't cause any problems for me.
I dunno... can Ayaya advance in her career as a talento AND continue to release (and perform) wacky stuff like "Meccha Holiday"? I think the jury is still out but it looks like UFA has already decided that she's the Grown-Up Singer of H!P (Nakazawa hasn't released anything in ages so I guess she hands the baton over).

i can;t stop listening to Happiness~better than the actual single IMO, because of the building up arrangement. Namida isnt that bad, but it has a monotous arrangement.
despite that she broke a personal record of worst first week sales to date, i still think it has the staying power. Only she seems to have that nowadays in H!P.
