Title: Man fakes million-dollar deposit to impress girlfriend

Police in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang province, arrested a man who tried depositing 250 million yuan ($36.5 million) in a bank using a fake deposit slip last Tuesday.

He had walked in the bank with his lover, hoping to impress her, when in fact he had no money at all.

Bank clerks noticed the fake slip and called the police.

The man confessed he had bought the deposit slip for 450 yuan and his only intention was to impress his sweetheart.

That's kinda sweet really. Idiotic. But sweet.
