The 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (German: 12. IAAF Leichtathletik WM Berlin 2009) will be held in Berlin, Germany from 15–23 August 2009. The majority of events will take place in the Olympiastadion, while the marathon and racewalking events will start and finish at the Brandenburg Gate. The competition will build upon the previous major athletics event in Berlin: the 1936 Summer Olympics, which featured Jesse Owens' historic achievement of winning four Olympic gold medals.

Gay was great as well. He seemed so nervous.

edit: These events always inspire me to get in excellent shape. I'm usually in good shape, but these events push me to work a bit harder  :)

edit 2: Bekele's 10K was pretty convincing as well!

Bolt jogged his way to quarter finals in 200m. Can't see him get fatigued enough to not get the Gold.

South Africa to test gender of 800-meter runner
