Matsushita Yui taking 6 month break due to leg injury
Matsushita has recently missed a lot of performances due to the injury, and the doctor has decided she needs an operation. The operation date has still not been decided, but including rehabilitation it is expected that it will take 6 months for her to make a full recover.

I think she's actually talking about her 'ghost shrimp', which is some sort of seamonkey-esque creature. Although I could be wrong and she is talking about her bunny. Take it as you may. Something died and she's definitely sad about it, though.

My favorite thing(s) about her: Everything. First of all, she is a true anime otaku and has proven it many times by constantly writing about it, doing cosplay, etc. She also has a stunning singing voice. Her solo lines in Innocence get me every time. She also has a very fun personality. She seems like she'd be fun to hang out with. Last but not least, she is drop dread gorgeous.
If you could change one thing about her, what would it be? I'd make her knee problems go away. I feel bad that she has to go through that, and that she's had to sit out of SKE48 for several months due to it.

Yes, Yuimin needs to come back in Team S ASAP! Team S has been slowly deteriorating... cool members have been leaving. Some cool members have been added, but not nearly enough. If Yuimin were to leave it would leave another massive gap in me precious Team S.

We were talking about Yui in the chat the other day.. she's been gone since February! Luckily she still updates her blog and we can see she's more beautiful than ever. But still, Datalanche pointed out how much team S has changed since she left and it may be weird when she's back. I hope she can get along with all the newbs... I definitely need yuimin back before I can call team S my fav team again.

They really kept her appearance a surprise to everybody, that's pretty evil. Imagine being all nervous for a big show like this and then having to start with something emotional like this. That also means the performance with Yuimin in stage had to be improvised to some extent, they handled that really well.

IMO This is the worst graduation to hit Team S. I could deal with the past ones but this one totally bummed my day. Even so, I hope she will continue to pursue seiyuu and related work. She's fantastic at it and has a lot to offer in that field. Still hoping she will replace the now-ousted Aya Hirano in future Haruhi projects. :lol: At the same time though, if she's not going to get any better for another few years then they should give her spot to someone who can really be there. Still, even if they promote the best, most awesome member ever, I will still miss Yui. Badly. :cry:

I'm one to usually get over a graduation pretty quickly, but not this girl. Not this amazing girl. She was an amazing talent, a major highlight of Team S, SKE48 and the whole *48 empire. I think I've seen her on Yamashita Moe's twitter a time or two, but I'm still hopeful that someday we'll see her make a splash in the seiyuu circuit. She more than deserves success. Original Ame no Pianist cast for life. :thumbup

I was happily surprised when I saw Yui is included the Hokago, Nijigen Dokokai (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=32407.0) book! I didn't expect that at all since Yui's been out of SKE48 for quite a while now. I wonder if the members suggested it or maybe the management remembered her love for the 2D world. Either way, it shows strong bonds within the group.

It was announced that Matsushita Yui will make a solo debut under Tokuma Japan Communications, and her 1st single “Shooting Star” is set for release on May 22.
Matsushita was a member of SKE48 since 2008, and she went on hiatus in order to receive treatment for osteochondritis dissecans on both of her ankles in 2010. However, as she needed to undergo long-term rehabilitation, and there was very little probability that she would be able to dance how she used to even if her ankles recovered completely, she graduated from the group in 2011.

This is the most exciting J-Pop news so far this year. Yuimin is one of the few grads that has really stuck with me and her talent is far too great to not be utilized. I'm ecstatic and hope for a great single. Most definitely buying a copy or three of this one. :twothumbs
