There's nothing wrong with Acchan, she's very likable indeed! It's just peculiar that many 'casual' fans all fall for Acchan.

A lot of fans started havings issues with Acchan when she said something about her being the best and that no one could surpass her and even takashi didn't know what to say.
But a lot of people also don't see it as her fault and blame aki-p or whoever to pushing her into that position.
@masa stages are much better than that album and singles etc

A lot of people give these stages crap, because they are 'recycled'. I.e. other teams have done them before, but I don't get it. It's just another version of a song.. like watching any other concert or shuffle unit.

LOL Don't pin that on me!! :lol: It's a good idea to not just bid aimlessly or place high initial bids because you will end up winning stuff for a high price. XD I did that a few times with some Oshima Mai pictures back in '08. I put in a high bid thinking it couldn't possibly go that high. Well, IT DID. XD
Since you're in, you should get some good Rena items. Auctions are really cool in that you can pick up stuff you seriously can't get anywhere else. :) Also one more piece of advice, keep a spreadsheet of the total costs and watch it. It will add up way quicker than you think with all the fees and stuff. Seriously, have fun but be careful! :) If you need a good excel clone you should get OpenOffice, btw. It's free.

Haha, I am new to this.I am a gamer at first, all my free time is spent to collect trophies.
My exposure to idol world was very little.Until last month, my impressions of idols was very stereotype, thinking I could never have fun watching them acting the cute and shy in front of camera.One night I watched AKBINGO and had pretty good laughs.From that day the stereotype is dissappering.
I still have a bit of stereotype left in me though.I find myself refusing to spend more time to get know AKB48 better.But after my confession, I realize I watched a lot of DVDs and performances that don't include Erena.Although most of the time I also play game while watching. :) Multitasking is hard!
But I glad I did the confess.It does make you feel better and wanting to improve.

I also confess that while I wouldn't say she has trounced my favorites, I've developed unhealthy feelings for Suda Akari. She's HOT, she's funny, and she looks amazing in megane. I smile every time I watch her, she's so silly and fun and lovable. She's amazing, and I think is going to be a top tier favorite in the future. :heart:
I also confess that after seeing her in action, I go from not digging at all to totally loving that Kinoshita Yukiko is part of Team S. She's terrific. :thumbup
Finally, I confess that I feel like I'm living in some kind of twilight zone where everything AKB and SKE is going fantastic. S3 blows away my sky-high expectations, the new S members are fantastic, Sasshi and Rie now have public blogs, and most recent and important, AKB48 is coming back stateside when I have the money to see them. The current team is so ridiculously fun, their MCs and Ariyoshi are the highlights of the AKB fandom for me right now. Their mobame consistently crack me up, the complex relationships they weave outdo anything the main teams could ever hope to achieve, and they not only have their own (B5) stage, but they get to invade every single other team stage, and perform their own songs beforehand each and every time. They're literally in every single show.

Getting back to confessions, I confess that this latest SKE48 concert DVD release has kinda made me wonder if I want to keep buying all of them. As their content and concerts grow, they are starting to get on par with AKB48's absurd concert DVD prices and I'm not so sure I want to throw down 7429 yen on something I'll probably never watch a double-digit amount of times in ... my whole life. Salt in the wounds that the yen is so strong/dollar is so week that this ends up being 90 fucking dollars US. I'm torn because I really do want to support these groups, but this is starting to get really expensive and, considering the amount of times watched, a moderately bad investment.

^I stopped buying concert dvds for the exact reasons you mentioned. Luckily, their dvds tend to go on sale every now and then (70% off on yesasia for example), so with a bit of luck and patience we might be able to score them for a better price later on.

Back in the day of my early fandom (before I fully grasped AKB48) I confess that I thought Sayaka Akimoto looked like a guy. Like discussed before. Photobooks are cool because its more or less way to 'preserve' an idol at a time in their lives... that said, wouldn't you want Mayu in her finest (yet) on the palm of your hands?
Buying her pb will not only "support her", but will also make you part of this moment, event, when Mayu's first solo-pb came out. And all the sense and wonder you get upon browsing it the first time will be forever sealed in those pages. So in the future, the next time you look at the pb, when mayu's a bit older, you can bring back that exciting feeling simply by flicking thru a few pages.

I comfess that after a year of apathy, after countless times resisting Amp's attempts at converting me, after many months of me thinking I don't care about jpop anymore, as of this past Saturday I am an AKB48 fan. WUT?!?
I was getting ready for a friend's wedding, and was going to use his parents' equipment to DJ said wedding, so I had iTunes open up to get a bit used to using it, and Aitakatta came up on shuffle. I didn't even know I had any AKB48 on my computer, but apparently I did. I said as much in the IRC chat and that got Amp going on his latest attempt to convert me.
Maybe it was nerves from the upcoming wedding, maybe it was me being in the right kind of mood musically, maybe it was the fact that the first thing he linked was the Korekara Wonderland PV and Yukirin caught my eye for the first time, but I found myself actually wanting more. I was digging the music too, which I hadn't in my previous casual encounters with AKB.
A dozen or so PVs and a 4 hour concert later, here I am, in the AKBar. Starting to learn names too, I know about 10 or so right now, and I'm currently studying:

I confess that I'm getting back off the multiple versions purchasing wagon again. :lol: I stopped for a while but got sucked back in. I made my orders for July, but no more beyond this. It's just too damn expensive. Unless it's tied to something cool like senbatsu elections and such, just one copy for me. I love to support but with the exchange rate so bad, it's too much. :nervous It also especially hurts in times like these when there's so many releases coming up.

I've been a fan for more than a year now, so I have many confessions and impressions about this whole year. Let me see...
1) I don't know the name of ALL AKB48 girls. It took me a lifetime to learn the first 20 or 30.
2) I think I like SKE more than AKB, and I found SDN rather good indeed.
3) Towards the end of 2010 I thought I would never like a girl other than an AKB member. The thing still goes like that.
4) I think Rabutan is getting really pretty, even if I prefer Mayuyu more.

I've been a(n open) fan for more than half a year now so I gots a few comfessions:
I still don't know about 20% of the AKB girls.
AKB stuff takes up more than half my computer disk space.
My entire iTunes library is 17% AKB/SKE while all te other artists are 5% or less.
Sakura no Ki ni Narou helps me fall asleep.
I bought my first AKB CD (Sakura no Ki ni Narou) on April 29th (exact because I bought it on my friend's birthday... for myself).
I think I got more but I don't really remember them

Same here, well, I quite like seeing them in suits/boyish clothes sometimes- I see the appeal, like some girls love seeing them looking like boys, but personally that isn't my thing XD ... like some fans really really wish they were actually boys- when they're gorgeous women!! :panic:

I originally thought it started in AKBINGO!. :) But after a long and hard search (2 minutes in japanwiki and google translate! :P):
Original nickname being "Yukirin". In the 2008-5-4 live, Yuki was wearing black clothes. Kikuchi Ayaka then gave her the nickname "Black Yukirin".
Later on tv shows members said she "doesn't reply to messages", "backs out on promises", "says poisonous/evil things" [she says she's just being honest]. Which made the members settle on her image saying "She looks like a pure and innocent lady, but in truth she's evil"

I comfess I sorta feel the same. The revival concerts weren't that impressing and I don't really dig much of the Kaze single, nor Ue Kara Mariko (so far). Actually, Oki Doki doesn't blow me away either. It's a bit of slump at the moment... Luckily the shows are still good (excluding Nemousu).

1. She could pursue her acting career. She is an amazing actress already and with proper training she could be even better.
2. Stop at the top... become a legend and don't fade away into obscurity.
3. No more bikini pics. Yes, this may be hypocritical of me, but a part of me really doesn't want her to do sexy photo shoots. Yes, she is totally hot, but there is no need for her to do half naked pics. Actually, I respect Takamina a lot for keeping herself covered up. At first I thought it was a bit strange, but now I can only give her props for it. Makes me wonder, what if Takamina were a 7th gen or so girl. Times have changed, I think there's more pressure on the young'uns nowadays to expose themselves. I guess they're all fine with that though, they know what being an idol entails.

I confess that at long last, I've finally gotten just a bit tired of the AKB-monopoly my idol fandom has become. I'd like to enjoy other acts, too. This has already started to occur and I'm becoming a pretty big fan of PASSPO. :thumbup It doesn't mean I love AKB any less, I just want some variety.
Also, I confess that I am wanting to cut some AKB TV shows from my routine starting next year. There are so many good ones that there's no need to sit through the less interesting ones. I haven't watched a Nemousu TV season in full since season 3 tbh. The recent ones just don't have that awesomeness that previous ones had, although the specials are still pretty fun. I also don't like Shukan AKB's recent format at all. Without subs/knowing Japanese, they're kinda boring honestly. I don't think I'll need to cut much, though. SDN's show will be ending obviously, and I read an unconfirmed tweet that Naniwa Nadeshiko was ending sometime relatively soon as well.

Speaking of the Kouhaku concert; I comfess that the NMB48 and SKE48 performances at that concert were when I realized that I really do like NMB48 more, and not just because they have (in my opinion) better singles.

I comfess I f'ing love AKB48. I'm proud to own some of their merch and to have their posters up on my walls.
By law, a Dutch high school student must spend 1040 hours on school each year. After some quick math I found out I spend easily that much on AKB48. They are a big part of my life and they kept me motivated to keep studying and working hard throughout the past couple of years.

She's not my Oshi, but i love all AKB48 members with all my heart and i will support them no matter what. Though Yuko is my oshimen, i don't want her to take the center stage, she's too busy to take the responisibilty. She has a lot of dramas coming, theater play, etc. and that makes me worried about her health.

I have nothing against them, and I'm glad they are being treated as a full part of AKB48, but the amount of pimping they get is just out of proportion.
They are in Ariyoshi, Shukan AKB, AKBingo, every single Nemousu ep and now they also invaded AKB to XX.
Yes, I like that the lesser known girls get a chance to promote themselves and can gain some experience. It's something a lot of the current undergirls never had.
However, this ongoing spree feels like they are forcing us to like all of them. I want to see some other new girls, and the undergirls and the front girls... Not just a select group of new girls.

I confess that the Sashihara scandal, how it has been handled, and other general recent feelings, have made me seriously question just how much I really want to support this AKB48 empire at this point.
I feel that this whole thing, and in hindsight past scandals and issues have been handled in the interest of publicity and nothing else to an almost cruel degree. I guess you could say "duh", but I am honestly a bit floored by just how blatant it is recently. We all know idol graduations are a mixed bag, but after seeing several in my time as an AKB fan, I think the staff and perhaps AkiP have totally lost their morals as far as exploiting these events goes. Think about how it's gone. For a time, it was simple: they either ignored the scandals, or did a firing or suspension. As time has gone on, we've seen all kinds of random, strange things. Kikuchi Ayaka making a comeback seemed to be when they decided they could make a media or fan impact where one previously didn't exist. Also coming to mind is the NMB scandal where they allowed fans to vote for Yoshida Akari to return or not. More headline attention grabbing perhaps? Yoshida is popular but not a top member, so it may not have garnered as much attention without it being engineered. Then we had Nacchan and Rumifu's scandal, which made a lot of noise in the fandom online but didn't really have much media attention since they weren't super popular members. That is, until they were made to give a tearful farewell speech propped up on stage. That got a few snapshots, didn't it?
And now we have this Sashihara scandal. Pics she sent to a boyfriend in a newspaper. So they're "transferring" her to HKT48. Today, though, they made a special section on the AKB48 site for her, labeling it HKT48, and throwing her at the bottom. Why don't you just write "IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW WE'RE TOSSING THIS DISGRACED IDOL WHO WAS OUR FOURTH MOST PROFITABLE MEMBER A FEW WEEKS AGO TO HKT48 LOOK LOOK LOOK". I don't see a giant SKE48 logo for Deguchi Aki and Nakanishi Yuka. They were part of AKB48, too. It all screams of publicity stunts and in a bad way. I know it's all about the almighty dollar but must we use dirty smoke and mirrors like this? Making an issue out of a non-issue, prolonging it this much? Obviously Sashihara is not being truly removed from AKB48. Were they, I don't think we'd have this ridiculous addition to AKB48's site. I confess honestly that this whole thing is eating away at my Sashihara fandom. I don't want to support this circus. I want HKT48 to shine on its own. I was looking forward to them recently. I want to get to know girls like Matsuoka Natsumi and Miyawaki Sakura better without Sashihara having to pointlessly introduce them to us, or be forcefully wedged into their formula. I 100% do not support this. I don't need time and I don't need to wait and see, I don't. fucking. like. it. For Sasshi's sakes or HKT's. I think it will pointlessly damage or at least slow down both entities.
You know how I feel after thinking about all this? I feel like the kid who will only drink Nestle Quick chocolate milk just because there's a giant fucking cartoon bunny on the can. Have I been consumed by brand loyalty for too long? Has a bit of disenchantment finally made me realize that AKB48 really isn't all there is to idols/entertainment/killing time? I'm truly starting to wonder that. I've been expanding my horizons lately and loving it.. have I been giving too much of my time to AKB48 and friends? Honestly, I must confess I'm starting to really question how much I like this empire now. I really do like the empire, but... maybe the monopoly is over. And you know what? I confess that maybe that's not such a bad thing. There's a lot of BRILLIANT music, girls, and idols out there. Not to mention the rest of the music scene. I comfess that Heavy Rotation is a boring song but I also comfess that the song turns so damn awesome when performed live regardless of the members performing it. Heck, I don't think that other songs—when performed live—could match Heavy Rotation's quality as a live-performed song. Every time I watch a 48 group concert that includes the song, I always repeat it lol.

Seeing random pics of this Mizugi Surprise mook made me realise this. I wanted to see a pic of Haruppi but wasn't sure if she had even ranked. I thought Shibata Aya had made senbatsu and complete forgot Daasu had. Someone mentioned Mayu getting to #3 and I was confused and had to think about it. I knew she dropped from #2 but I must have just assumed she was #5 as that's kinda been her solid position for a couple years before that :nervous
Also, since I've seen pics of this mook but not any of the PVs, it seems like we were just voting for which members we'd like to appear in bikini, rather than appear in songs/PVs :lol:

I comfess when I listened to one of the songs in Mayuyu's single Rappa Renshuuchuu, the first 30 times I thought she was saying some cool Italian stuff like "Seifuku Al Dente". Yes Al Dente would be wrong, unless Mayuyu's uniform was made of Italian food... :nervous (note to self: great idea for future single's theme, foretelling a boom for the 'pizza and meatballs' miniskirt) 8)
