WOOOO! So 24 starts tonight, two hours and then two more hours tomorrow! The previews look HOT, and I can't wait.
I do have some spoilers but I won't share them unless you want me too. Of course, they might be in tonight's episode, so you might not even need them.
-
Got it on now! Been a fan since the beginning. I knew they were going to kill off Palmer and Michelle, but it was pretty intense to actually see them die. I'm glad the Jack Bauer power hour is back!
-
I haven't seen it yet; it's not on for another 2 hours, but I knew Palmer and Michelle were going to die. Palmer's death was less of a shock then Michelle's, though.
-
THE BASTARDS!!! THEY KILLED MICHELLE!!! :x  :x  :x  :x  :x
DAMN I love this show!!!
-
The first hour was excellent and the second is looking just as good. There's supposed to be some major action tomorrow, so I can't wait for that. Oh, why must Audrey be back? God, I HATE her.
Palmer's death was shocking because it happened so quickly. One second alive, then dead.
-
Audrey was brought in for the awkward drama and emotional turmoil that will occur as they all wrestle with the fact that Jack is still alive. It's gonna be GOOD when they finally meet up again face to face.
-
Poor Michelle. Sigh. Remember what happened LAST time Tony ended up in the hospital? He was up and about 3 hours later after being shot in the neck.
I wonder if Tony will lash out at Jack and put the blame on him for being the cause of Michelle's death.
-
Yeah, I suppose Audrey is needed for at least a few episodes, but hopefully she won't be around all season.
Same goes when Kim comes back. Sure, she's nice to look at, but she almost ruined season 2. As long there aren't any mountain lions.
Hopefully Tony can lash out at Jack. Last we saw him, he was on an operating table.
-
They said Tony was in really bad shape when they brought him in. Major burns and his ability to speak may have been damaged. He'll be really weak if he survives the surgery, even moreso than when he was shot in the neck (at least that was just a single shot). If he does lash out at Jack, it won't be 'til, maybe mid-way through the season, I'd say.
Geraint Wyn Davies makes such a KICKASS villian (the mastermind in the room with all the monitors)! Cold, calm, and completely ruthless. 8)
ps. Logan is a complete DUMBASS!
-
Awesome. I knew Cummings was up to something. Damn Russians. Shit, tomorrow looks like it's going to be even better! So glad we don't have to wait a week for another episode.
Hopefully Tony's soul patch is ok.

Chloe is my hero.
I want this shirt: http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c188252p16715732.2.html
-
Awesome. Great show tonight.
I wonder what will happen when Tony wakes up and they tell him Jack killed Palmer and his wife?
-
Chloe is my hero.
I want this shirt: http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c188252p16715732.2.html
(still have to see the first two episodes)
Remember Chloe from last season where she handled a machine gun without problems 8)
-
That was hot. And this year she's rocking a pistol. And her sex hair at the beginning of the episode? RAWR.
-
I've never been a big fan of Chloe, but she did look pretty decent in the first 2 episodes.
Also, if anyone doesn't mind being spoiled, take a look at this site: http://www.24spoilers.tvheaven.com/ most 24 fans know of it, but I thought I'd post it just incase.
-
Did anyone else get a weird feed where they cut off the last 5-10 minutes of the first episode in tonights double-header? I'm watching it go to commercial just as that kid Derek gets put in front of the camera with the gun pointed at him, and then when it returns from the commercial the next episode is starting? :?
Anyway, what's everyone's thoughts on Sean Astin's character? It looks like he's a "headhunter" type, looking to find inefficient personnel at CTU branches and get rid of them (at least that's what Chloe's BF told Edgar).
Oh, and just sheer speculation on my part, but I get the feeling that Derek and his mom will be back in some fairly significant role (maybe that agent that's supposed to take them back to CTU is really working for the bad guys, like Cummmings is).
-
Yeah JFC, that happened to me as well. Ep4 started at about 8:50.
-
OMG this season is fucking awesome so far. Who knew the hobbit would save the day  . Can't wait for next week.
-
< - beware of Geeks with guns
(3 shots 3 hits!)
-
Another great pair of episodes. It's starting to look a little like season 3, though. I thought Rudy was pretty good last night. It'll be interesting to see how Kim is brought back. I heard she left Chase.
-
< - beware of Geeks with guns
(3 shots 3 hits!)
Guns don't kills people, pissed off/scared geeks with guns do!
-
Man, I should listen to my man Tom_Green more. He and I were talking last week about the show and he was telling me that that Spencer guy was probably involved in the conspiracy. I figured the guy was just incompetent or something. But of course, I'm proven wrong and Spencer was that asshole Cumming's inside man. Okay, so it looks like Spencer was being used/duped by Cumming. Doesn't mean I have to like the dude.
Oh, and I got this link from another 24 fan:
http://www.notrly.com/jackbauer/
-
LMAO someone posted that link at TWOP.
-
I'm not surprised that Spencer turned out rotten. I knew the second Chloe got a boyfriends that the fans wouldn't tolerate him being an OK guy. :P
-
And AGAIN Jack gets the baddie to TALK! FUCK dat bitch Cummings!
-
Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Jack beat him up.
Someone needs to shoot that president. Seriously. For the good of the country.
They're still showing Jack's 'family'in the split scene at the end of the show - anyone else think they'll be pulled back in somehow?
-

Chances are they will be. My guess is that the "mastermind" already knows who they are, and will kidnap or threaten them in some future episode to get to Jack. I doubt they would have shown them in that split scene at the end if they weren't going to use them.
And yeah, someone does need to shoot Logan, or at the very least Mrs. Logan should put him through a big, messy, public divorce to show the people what an idiot he actually is.
-
Actually, my thought with Mrs. Logan is this:
Logan needs someone to control him. Better Mrs. Logan to do this than anyone else.
-
I know. I know. My boy Kuno_Thunder keeps telling me to watch, but JFC and Vikitty...love the Jack Bauer quotes. I esp. love the Bauer movement one. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
-
Ah, they did keep the Nerve gas in-country, so we can keep hunting for it the next 4-5 hours.
-
Ew, that Russian chick was only 15? She was so skinny, that if Tanaka Reina looked at her, SHE would give her a steak. Nastyville.
-
Looks like Kim will be back soon. Any bets on how long before she gets kidnapped?
-
I'm thinking it'll happen when she's on her way to CTU. :P
I'm a little disappointed in the ending of tonight's episode. Knowing how the girl felt about the old fart because of what he did to her, Jack should have known better and kept his weapon more secure so that she couldn't have just grabbed it and shot him the way she did.
And lo and behold, Cummings goes and hangs himself rather than face the consequences of his (stupid) actions.
-
And lo and behold, Cummings goes and hangs himself rather than face the consequences of his (stupid) actions.
I don't think so.
I think there are still conspirators inside the White House and they killed Cummings making it look like a suicide.
-
Hmm...never thought of that. It certainly is possible. Considering that Cummings himself was involved, who knows what other personnel were brought into it?
See, it's shit like this that make 24 a KICKASS show! :bounce:
-
Paranoia is never a bad trait when guessing about 24. ;)
-
Tonight's episode kind of bored me.
-
Tonight's episode kind of bored me.
Word. The only exiting part for me was at the end for me when the dude got shot. Oh yea... seeing the hobbit get his ass beat was funny.
-
Yeah, he should have called up his lover, Elijah, and ask him to borrow his ring or something.
-
Whoa, that was a DAMN close call with the canister at that mall. I thought for a while that maybe Kim would be in the mall, and that she and Jack would have a really interesting/awkward/typical 24-style reunion. 8)
And I'm also glad to see that the First Lady is finally starting to learn about the subtleties of the game that is politics. Had Cummings not offed himself, it TOTALLY would have been alright to brand him a traitor. However, since he DID die, would it REALLY have done any good to drag his name through the muck? And like Mike Novic said, you've gotta think about the wife (and kids, if any). Husband/daddy's dead. Gone. Never coming back. Imagine the trauma and emotions that they're no doubt going through. Telling the family that Cummings was a traitor (at this point) would serve no useful purpose. Only thing it would do would be to piss off Cummings' family, who (theoretically) could have then gone with to the press and accused the President/First Lady of slander, thus hurting the administration, and everyone in general.
Usually, telling the truth is the best way to go. However, there are also times when, to protect the emotional well-being of people, it's better to not reveal the WHOLE truth.
-
Oh man, the Prez of the United States is CONSPIRING with TERRORISTS!!!! [/fake shock]
Boy oh boy is Lynn losing it! Dude's undoubtedly a control freak, but once he starts losing it, it looks like he REALLY loses it!
And they bring back Geraint Wyn Davies (as Nathanson) after an absence of 2-3 eps, only to KILL him! Well, that's 24 for ya!
-
I finally caught up to season 5, had to watch season 1-3 on dvd and 4 (xvid). Now with season 5 still airing, i dont know if i can wait it out for each ep to air, drive me insane!
-
Two hour special next week, bitches!!! And get the kleenex ready, Kim Bauer is comin' back! :jerk: :w00t:
-
Sweet. That'll be fun.
And they finally managed to get rid of Lyn. :)
-
Sweet. That'll be fun.
And they finally managed to get rid of Lyn. :)
I dunno, it was kinda fun watching him lose his emotional control like that. :P
-

Just one problem... his keycard is still missing.
Kim Bauer is comin' back!
Kim coming back?? yes! :bounce:

Something like, proving that Jack is still alive to Kim, or something. Or, reattaching Chase's hand.
-
2 hours of 24 tonight. Kim is back, with some dude who might be her boyfriend and/or psychiatrist.
And DING DONG!!! THE FAT MAN IS DEAD! -> http://www.fox.com/24/profiles/es.htm
-
And just watch and see them need Lyn's keycard for something super important. 8)
Yep.
Poor Edgar.
If they killed Chloe off though, I would have had to fly to L.A. to punch the producers in the nuts myself, so it's probably a good thing.
This is what, the 4th time CTU has been attacked in 5 seasons?
-
Oh man, that moment between Chloe and Edgar at the end was heartbreaking.
FLOTUS + Aaron =. She needs to dump Logan after this day and run away with Aaron!
-
See, if Edgar had run back to the Situation Room as fast as he runs to the buffet, he wouldn't have found himself suffocating to death like that, now would he? Now we don't have to listen to his lisp anymore.
You know who they should bring back? Sarah. Sarah fuckin' Gavin. Sarah the hottie Gavin. Fuck yeah. :jerk:
-
Hm, they used the keycard a bit earlier then I expected... anyway, KIM is back!
(http://img458.imageshack.us/img458/9708/24512hdtvlolavi000009mo.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
-
MAN THOSE BASTAGES!! First Palmer, then Michelle, and now TONY?!?!?! :kcrazy:  :ksad:
So Lynn makes the ultimate sacrifice to save the rest of the surviving CTU members. That's what's known as putting the good/well-being of others before one's own. Don't really want to say that it makes up for his not reporting his keycard being lost nor for losing his head under the pressure a couple of eps ago. Still...you gotta admire someone willing to do what NEEDS to be done, knowing what the consequences are.
Kim's reaction so far has been quite harsh, but considering what she's gone through (in part due to Jack's actions), it's understandable in a way. She's right that bad stuff happens whenever Jack's around. It's part of his world, he can't help it. I hope she sticks around for a couple more eps.
-
Yeah, Lynn showed a major improvement. At least his obit will look better.
Tony is conclusively dead yet - we should know for sure 2 minutes into the next ep though.
Kim is still as stupid as ever.
-
He's dead; we see him being covered by a sheet in the preview.
The New York Times spoiled who died because they posted the article online one day ahead. They interview Carlos Bernard (Tony) and he confirms that his character is in fact dead.
-
Talk about fan support... Kim pop-in and pop-out... only a few seconds visible total in two episodes
:x get her back!
(actually wouldn't be to surprised that the road they take brings them close to where the gas will be released...)
And whats up with that VP? Does he want a seperate state or something?
-
"He wants to be president" pretty much covers it.
Even odds he's involved in the original conspiracy somehow.
-
At the very least, he's a manipulator and opportunist.
-
(actually wouldn't be to surprised that the road they take brings them close to where the gas will be released...)
There has to be more with her otherwise they wouldn't have used a known actor like C. Thomas Howell for such a tiny walk-on role (that's not to say that I think he's an A-list actor or anything). I bet Robocop is waiting in the parking lot and is going to take her hostage so he can swap her for his wife.
-
I think the next one to die will be Curtis. Why don't they just bring back Sarah hottie Gavin already? Aw yeah. :jerk:
-
For anyone who hasn't played the 24 game on the PS2, some kind soul ripped all the cinematic cutscenes! It's 90minutes of footage, with the original character voices! And some of the character models are DISTURBINGLY realistic. I thought Tony was actually Tony when I saw his first scene, instead of just graphics.
The story takes place between Day 2 and Day 3.

Some info on filming for 24:
http://www.showreel.org/memberarea/article.php?172
Seems our leading guy needs a 'big' audience to perform :)
-
That new chick from Homeland Security is fuckin' hot, in a weird way. I'd totally bone her brains out. :jerk:
-
And yay for Chloe's new self-confidence.
-
Logan? It was fuckin LOGAN?!?!?
FUCK I LOVE THIS SHOW!! :bounce:
-
Yeah, that was the biggest suprise of any 24 season to date - even more than the death of Jack's wife in season 1.
It does explain how the guy got hung in the compound though, and why he tried to send his wife away and then tried to send her to get blown up.

Awesome news. I just want some more information on the upcoming movie.
Oh, if you're interested in owning the same messenger bag that Kiefer uses, you can get it here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002A6UUW/qid=1138699126/sr=8-8/ref=pd_bbs_8/002-1579983-4604840?n=507846&v=glance) . The comments there are pretty funny.
-
I heard that news too, just curious how they'll stretch the premise that far.
-
8 hours to bring down the president...

wait, you mean "3 more days" of 24, right?
-
Damn, call me sadistic but I wanted to see more of the "Henderson scaring the shit out of Melinda to find out where Jack is" scene. And what happened to her and her kid? Did the bastage kill them? I'm guessing he killed them. :(

Huh? MOVIE??!?!! :w00t:
Yeah, Kiefer's been talking about it recently. No real info on it yet. I think he said, when he was on Jimmy Kimmel Live, that they were going to start shooting this year.
-
Man, how's about Chloe breaking out of holding and then "blackmailing" the hot chick (don't really care her name) with a Psychological Evaluation? That was bitchin'! And, to paraphrase what Chloe said...that Miles dude really is an idiot.
Secretary Heller...dude...did you seriously think you could force Logan to step down? *shakes head in disappointment* Logan obviously has had the resources to get this far without anyone finding out. You think that he can't use these same resources to re-acquire the evidence which, if I may point out, you yourself neglected to secure? *shakes head some more in disappointment*
What I'm wondering now is, what happened to Agent Pierce? :-?
-
Yeah, Heller's plan was pretty stupid. I wouldn't count him out yet though.
-
$30 to go...
-
See Heller? Told you your plan wouldn't work! And what do you have to show for it now?
...
Ah shit, he drove off a cliff. Oh well.
Looks like Hayes is starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together, realizing that there's something else going on. Good job on Curtis and his team for making it there in time to save Audrey and get Henderson. I only wish she had shot him before they arrived (in the leg or something, nothing fatal).
-
Yeah, if she shot him, then according to Henderson the tape would be released anyway (what he said to Logan).
Still, I think it will take more than this to kill Heller.
-
I'm wondering if there was any concern about having Jack do the whole hijacking thing? I couldn't help but laugh at the dude who tried to rush/tackle Jack while he was on the phone. And KUDOS to Chloe with the stun gun!!!
Dude's wakin' up again? *bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*:kcrazy:
Can't wait to see if Logan actually orders the plane to be shot down.
-
^ like I said before, watch out for geeks with guns (stun or otherwise :))
4 episodes to go... no idea how to are going to do this.
If he orders it to be shot down (in the next 15 minutes??) Chloe will save the day...
-
We're going to get another 2-hour season finale, right?
-
I dunno, are we? This season has gone by so fast.
-
It would be nice. Still a couple hours before that though.
-
3 hours to be exact!
BTW, Miles is a fuckin retarded opportunist! :x
-
i hate miles! hope jack kicks him in the balls before episode 24 ends.
or better yet have chloe use her stungun..
-
I like how they did that with Miles though, one more plot twist for Jack and CTU to overcome before the day ends. After all, what would you want them to do for the last 3 hours?
-
^ I want KIM! :)
-
We are now inside a sub with 12 missiles and 2 hours to go...
-
At least Aaron's not dead...yet.
-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: Logan's going down faster than a hooker with a blank cheque!
EDIT - Sunnovabitch the Chinese got him!
Tune in to the next season of 24. :D
-
Fuck! The Chinese!
-
damn it. they got him. that was an awesome season.:D
-
I like the look on Henderson's face when he realized the gun wasn't loaded. He was all like, "Aw, fuck me."
-
Slowboat to shanghai...
-
i knew something wasn't right when the call came in on a landline phone... i mean, how many times have we ever seen jack use a landline phone? (besides when he's at ctu)
-
damn.. i wonder what they mean by "you're too valuable". couldn't be as a hostage, the only thing is as a super duper agent. will we see jack bauer speaking chinese and the title changed to 二十四 next season? can't wait to find out..
-
Hey, we almost saw him become "Juan Baurez" last season didn't we? There's gonna some stupid thing on the DVD of season 5 that will get him back to LA in no time. Unless the guys at FOX got a BIG budget hike...
-
Hm, w'll with a movie budget, maybe this is the cliffhanger to the movie??
-
Ha, I have a great excuse for bumping my old thread:
Congrats to everyone at 24 for recieving TWELVE Emmy nominations this year, including:
Outstanding Drama Series
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer)
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Gregory Itzin as President Charles Logan)
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Jean Smart as First Lady Martha Logan)
Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series
Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-Camera Series
Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series (2 nominations)
Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Dramatic Underscore)
etc etc etc
I don't think Kiefer has a chance at lead actor, but Greg and Jean SO deserve to win; their storyline was my absolute favorite this season!
-
Absolutely. Very well put together and a lot of fun twists and turns.
-
damn.. i wonder what they mean by "you're too valuable". couldn't be as a hostage, the only thing is as a super duper agent. will we see jack bauer speaking chinese and the title changed to 二十四 next season? can't wait to find out..
Could it possibly mean they will use Jack as a prisoner of war? I mean after they found him alive, they could possibly think that his 'death' at the end of Day 4 was a cover up by the U.S. to protect him. Damn, ROLL ON 2007!!
-
Another theory is that maybe the Chinese will return Jack to the US to do their dirty work, like an assassination or something.
-
Another theory is that maybe the Chinese will return Jack to the US to do their dirty work, like an assassination or something.
Oh damn. That's a great theory too.
-
Rewatching the reruns on Friday nights... am I the only one who thinks the FLOTUS is a total MILF? xD;;
I can't wait until next season! And I can't wait for the DVDs to be released!
What I *don't* want is for Day 6 to take place far enough down the line that the Chinese plot will already have been resolved. The writers have said they're not doing a prequel for S6, so there's no copout way to do it for that, at least. I think it would be interesting if D6 took place only a few weeks or months later instead of a few years like it normally is. We'd get to see the fallout from Logan being brought down, the search for Jack, and more of the storylines that weren't resolved by the finale - Morris and Chloe's relationship, the Homeland Security/CTU partnership, and so on.
-
Logan's wife? Nah, I don't think she's that hot. :o
Yeah, I'm hoping for a continuation too. I expect them to continue to develop Chloe further (she's my cellphone wallpaper actually :P).
We only glimpsed the VPOTUS last season, but he might play a bigger role this time.
Heller is alive too, I'm curious what he's going to be up to.
-
omg, Chloe is my phone WP too! Go us!
-
**SPOILERISH!!**
D.B. Woodside will be a series regular on the next season of 24, Variety reported at the weekend. (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds34965.html)
Also:
Peter MacNicol is the latest actor to be cast as a regular on the next season of 24. The Ally McBeal star, 52, will play a "high-ranking government official" in the new season, which begins January in the US. (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds35063.html)
-
Cool. Not really spoilerish - though the first one tells us that they're going to skip over all the impeachment issues and stuff and it won't be set the next day.
-
I thought it was a spoiler when it said that Wayne Palmer is the newly elected President.
-
I dunno. I generally don't consider stuff revealed in the first five minutes of the opening episode spoilers.
That's premise. :)
-
Yeah I guess you're right, I would rather be safe than sorry. :P
-
Yep. Always a good policy. :)
-
hmm, just looking at that site forum to see if there were any other updates, and came across this interesting storyline rumour:
A couple of suggestions doing the rounds atm regarding Jack are that he has in fact escaped the Chinese government only to be caught by “Middle Easters Terrorists”. What I heard also suggested that CTU may be in the process of trying to exchange Jack from these terrorists.
There was also another rumour that I read (which if true would be great!) is that one of these Terrorist is in fact Sayd Ali’s brother… Now if that doesn’t whet the appetite, I don’t know what will.
This was also further supported by a major cast call-out for three Middle-Eastern roles, of which one may be “good”.

**ARTICLE REVEALS TWO NEW CHARACTERS (1 pretty big, the other not so much) FOR SEASON 6, SO DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU READ IT, MMMM'KAY?**
Eddie Izzard has joined the cast of 24 for the sixth series.
The English comedian will play the role of Darren McCarthy, described by producers as "a villainous accomplice".
Also joining the cast is James Cromwell. The Babe star takes the part of Jack Bauer's estranged father, Phillip.
The sixth season of the show debuts in January in the US, picking up the storyline 20 months from the end of the fifth series. (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds37032.html)
Woah, if you thought Jack Bauer was tough, wait till you see his daddy! :D
-
And now for the story line... ??
20 months, at least thats halfway into the next presidents term, so that should not be the problem :)
-
Season five concluded with a battered and bloodied Bauer captured by Chinese government agents and headed for points unknown. Season six picks up 20 months later. Wayne Palmer (DB Woodside), the strong-minded brother of the late President David Palmer, is now himself the President of the United States, while his sister, Sandra Palmer (Regina King), is a determined and powerful advocacy lawyer. After a series of horrific terrorist attacks, Palmer and his team of advisors, Karen Hayes (Jayne Atkinson) and Thomas Lennox (Peter MacNicol) as well as CTU colleagues Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), Curtis Manning (Roger Cross) and Bill Buchanan (James Morrison) begin an unthinkable, nail-biting day.
Wonder when Jack will appear in all this? IMO, given that it's 20 months since Jack's capture, do you think we can see Jack as a villian?
