High-King / ハイ・キング

High-King (ハイ・キング, Hai-Kingu?) is a Japanese idol group within Hello! Project. The group was created to promote Morning Musume's upcoming rendition of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, titled Cinderella the Musical (シンデレラ the ミュージカル?). Their sound is said to have an R&B feel. The group's debut single, "C\C (Cinderella\Complex)" (Ｃ＼Ｃ （シンデレラ＼コンプレックス）?), was on June 11, 2008, under the Zetima label in two versions. The regular version contains the CD-single only, while the limited version contains a bonus DVD.[2] The Single V was also released for the song two weeks later, on June 25, 2008.

The High-King segments on the H!P DVD Mag Vol. 21 are amazing. Favourite part of the whole thing, aside from Junjun and her awesome Chinese :D

Anyway, I LOVE High-King. (Walking janai yo, High-King desu~~ XD) I like the style of music they have and of course, there's AiButt and Reinya! :heart:

High-King had such an awesome single!!! I really like this unit. Vocally, even if I love Yuuka, I have to say that her cutesy voice doesn't really fit with the rest, though I liked it in the C/C single's c/w song.

I also think it's pretty good that the unit is kinda bringing generation gaps closer, like Aichan and Maimi seem to be 'closer' somehow (less awkward with each other?) than before, and stuff. Yuuka still seems shy though :lol:

this unit is just so awesome that would be great if they start doing more activities as high-king, maybe a mini album even :cokecat:

I like the idea that Captain actually gets to sing more solo lines in those high-king songs than in Berryz  :lol:
have to agree that Yuuka's baby cute voice in it is kinda weird  :nervous

love that Disneytiny Love song too, can't wait to see their perf from Dettoo  :yep:

at this point i think they can relaunch this unit changing Yuuka with Wada (or just add her) to make it a leaders thing

But what about Reina?  Sure she's the leader of High-King itself, but I don't buy it.
Especially since when they went on TV shows, Ai-chan seemed to take over the leader-type announcements.

Reina declared herself leader inbefore someone else did

Leader or not, it's still an interesting all-star team to represent H!P (perhaps Mano can join for full H!P representation), especially with the type of songs they've put out.

High King had a great combo of voices and what a chance for Yuuka to work with the best!!!
But when Yuuka told the girls she had a favourite song that she wanted to use as a platform for a High King dance video, the other girls were a bit surprised.
"So you guys never heard of Frank Zappa?"   a slighly annoyed Yuuka asked.
 "Is he a character from a manga?"   a bewildered Captain inquired.
Then a smile broke out on Reina's face......"Snap, wait a minute Yuuka chan, you're not talking about 'Keep it Greasy' are you?" Yuuka grinned, and Reina and her started to teach the dance moves to Captain, AiChan, and Maimi. 
Ai had her cell phone out...."Gakki chan, you have to download this song NOW!!! Yes, it's a boom-boom song!! "she giggled.
Maimi was busy working with staff..."This skirt is not short enough. Think LEGS!!! I want to rock this song!! I want to impress Airi"
