Title: Winmugen
Post by: whiteleppard on February 22, 2010, 04:42:39 PM
Anyone here play Mugen? I've been playing around with it for about two years now.  While it's not a balanced fighting game, it is pretty cool to add characters from all kinds of games for a face off.  Also, creating your own stuff is awesome.

Here's a link to it.  If you would like, I made a bunch of games with various characters, stages, and screen packs.  Also, I've downloaded a bunch of put together games.  Just let me know and I will upload them later.

Here's one I put together about two years ago.  It's a rar file split into 4 parts.  Just download HJ split from this post and select the first rar.  It will do the rest.  If your on XP, cut down the hardware acceleration.  And now, I present to you the King Of Fighters Extreme.  Have fun, and if you have any questions, I will be more then happy to answer.

It's crazy the amount of characters made for mugen.  I tried my hand at it, but dont have the patience.  I did create a screen pack and life bars for historys strongest disciple kenichi.  Mabee one day I will get back into character creation, and make the characters as well.  The reason I like mugen is because you can have all your favorite characters in one game.  One of my friends is awesome with the keyboard.  I couldnt play like that, only fps games.  I bought a Logitech duel action pad.  That works great for mugen.

I remember trying Mugen, then quitting because I generally suck at fighting games and some characters are just imba.

Wonder if it's possible to make a Majisuka-themed mugen..

It's possible to make any theme based mugen.  All you have to do is look at all the tutorials online, and all the files on the net.  Tools like fighter factory, sounds good, and gimp make it possible.  I have a friend who isn't good at fighting games either, but we still play every now and then.  To me, it's all about having fun.  If you decide to build your own, check out mugen nation.  They have a great forum, and wonderful support.
