Secret’s Sunhwa shared her thoughts about being in the
midst of top girl group members on Invincible Youth in a
recent interview with Newsen.
She said,
On Invincible Youth, there are many #1 groups such as SNSD, KARA, T-ara and
more. I do think I’m jealous of them. It makes me want to promote my group’s

KARA had Lupin, T-ara had I Go Crazy of You, etc. They all were promoting
music. But I was just preparing for an album while filming for the show. I wanted
to show a new side of me to the girl groups through album promotions.

I hope they would win atleast one award on the music programs with Shy Boy, they deserve it :)I would love to see this too but it probably won't happen with Shy Boy because of GTOP and TVXQ promoting at the same time. But if they keep this run of good songs going I'm sure they'll eventually earn a win.
Pictures of SECRET on set of the promotional video shooting for online fishing game “Grand Mer” were recently revealed.
The promotional video was shot in a studio in Namyangju, where the members of SECRET acted out an enjoyable story where they hit a “stroke of luck” while fishing, just like in “Grand Mer”.
Leader Hyosung commented, “We’ve never been fishing in real life before, but it was so much fun when we tried it through the game. We hope people have fun fishing while playing ‘Grand Mer’.”
Meanwhile, “Grand Mer” is scheduled to make its official launch through game portal “One Light On” and CJ Internet’s “Net Marble” this coming February 8th.
SECRET enjoyed their very first win through cable channel Mnet’s “M. Countdown” a few weeks ago, but the girls locked down their first public broadcast win through KBS’s “Music Bank” last week!

SECRET to make a comeback with “Talk That”, reveals image teaser for Jieun
Girl group SECRET will be making a comeback soon with a brand-new track, “Talk That“!
Composed by Shinsadong Tiger, this will be the first time in three years that the group will be working with the legendary producer since their debut with “Magic“.
The group is poised to make a comeback on December 4, and has released the first image teaser featuring their lead singer, Jieun!
The image shows Jieun with a brand-new, fiery-red hairstyle that drapes loosely around her bare shoulders, emitting a romantic, flowery image that contrasts with her sad, melancholy expression.
Image teasers for the other members of SECRET will be unveiled soon, TS Entertainment revealed, in preparation for their highly-anticipated December comeback.

SHIT dude, Secret's driver looks like he/she was going WAAAAY too fast. Van clearly flipped over and may have rolled a few times as well. When I read flipped over I thought it just flipped on its side similar to how Soyeon's accident was a few months ago. I'm surprised that zinger was the only one that received a major injury.
TS Entertainment updated fans on the 12th about the condition of the members: “Sunhwa, Ji Eun, and Hyosung were all confirmed to have no serious injuries in their additional checkup. The accident happened only just recently, so they haven’t mentioned any other injuries other than the scrapes and bruises. However, since car accidents can have after shocks, they will be treated regularly at hospitals for a while until they are fully healed.”
Hyosung currently has a half-cast on her left foot. She had suffered an injury on the same left leg due to a prior knee injury, and she felt pain again after the accident. Sunhwa has injuries on her face, and Ji Eun also has bruises on her legs and will be treated continuously.
Zinger will need 2-4 weeks for full recovery because of her cracked rib and bruised lung. However, both injuries are said to be on the light side, and an additional check-up showed no other serious injuries. The label commented, “Since Zinger is in the hospital, she will get continuous treatment at the hospital. The other members will be visiting regularly to heal their injuries.“

Earlier, the photo below of SECRET‘s Hyosung posing in undergarments was leaked online and definitely piqued the attention of netizens. It was revealed that the photo that had been leaked was one that was taken during a photoshoot held with an underwear brand.
With the photo gaining attention, TS Entertainment confirmed that Hyosung, known for her “bagel girl” image, has indeed been selected as the endorsement model for trendy undergarments brand ‘Yes‘.

Ji Eun recently hinted at SECRET‘s return with an image, and now their comeback has been confirmed!
On April 17, TS Entertainment confirmed, “SECRET will have a comeback on April 30 with a mini album“.
The mini album will contain 5 songs, and the title song will be produced by Kang Ji Won and Kim Ki Bum, the same duo who created their hit songs “Magic“, “Madonna“, “Shy Boy“, “Starlight Moonlight“, “Love is Move“, and “Poison“.
The girls just wrapped up their solo concert in Singapore, and are actively preparing for their upcoming comeback.

On May 14th, SECRET guested on SBS Power FM's "Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time". On the broadcast, Jun Hyosung made a statement that said, "We're a team that respects individuality so we don't democratize the group."
A clip of the statement has been spreading like wildfire online, as netizens are criticizing Hyosung for using the term 'democratization' in a negative way.
One netizen explained, "With the way she used it, she basically intended for democratization to mean that individuality is not respected."
Internet community 'Ilbe' has been using the term negatively and popularizing it with a different definition to mean 'to disappear', 'to demolish', or 'to cause a riot'. The community is notorious for using the word in a negative context.
Netizens are arguing that the context of her statement fits with Ilbe's use of the term and are disappointed with her lack of history and political knowledge.
TS Entertainment clarified that Hyosung used the word without knowing what it meant.
Some background information:
In south korea there is a group of people claiming that the country shouldn't have been democratized and should just have remained an autocratic state with an military dictator. They even think that north korea made south korea democratized in order to mess up south korean society. Ilbe is a website where those kind of people gather.
Ilbe users distorted the use of the term 'to democratize' to 'to oppress people's freedom' because they think democracy is a bad thing. The majority of south korean think Ilbe users are making fun of blood and deaths of many people sacrificed during korean democratization by distorting the meaning of the word. And Hyosung, while I can't tell she did on purpose or not knowing, used the term in the exact way Ilbe users do.
Of course I understand outside of south korea it must be hard to understand why korean netizens are so upset about her words. But this is not just hatred toward idol celebrities, but a problem related to history and political background.
only ilbe users say 민주화시키다(forcibly democratize). its different from 민주화하다(democratize). there's no way she could've heard it from non ilbe users. not sure she read ilbe boards though. ilbe users are everywhere. you can easily find them on nate, dc gallery etc. but still this is very disappointing. she sounded so stupid...I'd like to think people would probably just be calling her stupid and that would be the end of if she used 민주화하다(democratize), since that word has no connection with the ilbe community and has no extra meaning behind it. But since she didn't, well yea XD. There was also a comment on why Koreans despise the ilbe community so much but I can't find it anymore. But they are really looked down upon by society.
You know what this reminds me of? I don't know if this is universally american but I remember growing up, as a way to make someone look stupid, you'd ask someone, "are you against women's suffrage?" When you're younger and less "in the know" it sounds like someone is asking you if you're against the suffering of women lol. which is ridiculous. of course, if you don't know what suffrage means you'd sound evil to say no thinking who wouldn't want to end anyone's suffering let alone women. But, after a few history classes, you figure out that suffrage isn't a past tense word of some sort for suffer but rather about women's right to vote. Imagine getting caught on TV or whatever saying that you're against women's suffrage. Then imagine you're a celebrity and there are netizens out there just waiting to jump on you for anything and everything. yea... crazy.
