When Takahashi Ai's new photobook got announced I crossed my fingers for a new Gaki one and- YES ; w ;

I seriously LOVE her short hair~~ ok ok sometimes it can look a little like "mom" hair but i find it really cute ; u ; and it suits her personality imo!

The minute I get the money spare I think I'll be buying/preordering this and the new Allo!Hello~~
(though... aichan and an utb subscription are tempting too... = 3 = )

I think it's great that Gaki -- one of MM's greatest underdogs -- gets these solo projects. And Hawaii is a great place for her: so many moments in her Alo-Hello videos have had true laugh-out-loud moments. When she was screaming on that speedboat, with the sharp turns and water spraying about... how can you not fall for that chick?!!

Niigaki Risa Solo Photobook Release : MAHALO TALKIN'
First instalment : The "MA" in MAHALO

The photobook with pictures of me in Hawaii will be on sale from July 14! The subtitle of the book is "MAHALO" and starting this week there will be three instalments where I give you the inside story of the three characters in the title (マハロ).
The first letter MA (マ) stands for "I went there!" (参りました! - literally "I came/went" ... :lol: ).
The theme for this photobook is "summer romance", but it's the first time I've had "love" as a theme, so it was a really fresh experience.
What I imagined during the shoot was that an energetic girl discovered a boy she really liked at school and is all excited by it. I imagined that they went out on road trips and went shopping together, and things like that.
I was photographed while imagining and wondering whether the time before you find someone is the most fun.
Incidentally, since I was in Hawaii I tried visualising my partner as a man with blonde hair and blue eyes (*laughs*).
Well the "I went there!" was inspired by the editor of this photobook.
It was a bit cold on the first day of shooting on location in my bikini, and I was thinking "Aah, the pool looks so cold~". Having thought that, the editor just mentioned above came out in a bikini and went into the pool before me. She was right there with me to experience the cold of the water and the fear of having to plunge into the pool. So because of this, from the very first day my mindset switched over into "I have to do my best too!".
Everyone on the staff were very friendly, and there really was a feeling of us creating something together.
In the past I've finished shoots without talking to anyone even though I was very energetic, but this time I talked to everyone, and various ideas came out of those conversations.
I'm also really looking forward to seeing the finished result of this photobook filled with such warm thoughts!

I've given up on the notion that I COULD have been nearby A Certified Musume [TM]. They could be at any one of several dozen places in town; we wouldn't get anywhere unless we have a man on the inside.

FWIW I do NOT know where that court is. Somewhere in Kaimuki?

I don't think Tsunku has anything to do with the photobooks, does he? Isn't it the photographer that chooses this kind of stuff? If not, then Tsunku having some involvement with the photobooks is sorta creepy. :ph43r:

If I read it correctly I have to send one tiny piece of paper (the application ticket) which came with the PB to somewhere. But in spite of me doing my best reading everything in the PB I can't find out where am I supposed to send it to. Can non-japanese person apply? Help will be really appreciated. Thanks :)
