"I think we are welcomed. But it was not a peaceful welcome." —George W. Bush, defending Vice President Dick Cheney's pre-war assertion that the United States would be welcomed in Iraq as liberators, NBC Nightly News interview, Dec. 12, 2005
Bush!!! What has America come to.

Anyway if you haven't seen it yet you should and be prepared of some discusting warpictures. Sometimes the reality is just to much to handle...

Bush, the Pope, Ronaldo, Madonna and a school boy are on a plane
Suddenly, the plane runs into a mechanical problem and the pilot tells then its going down
However, he only has 4 parachutes onboard for them
1st, Ronaldo says, "I'm the pride of Brazil and the best football player around, I deserve a parachute", so he grabs one and jumps off
2nd, Madonna says, "I'm the hottest babe on earth, I entertain people, my fans are depending on me", she grabs a parachute and jumps
3rd, Bush says,"I'm the president of the United States, I'm the smartest man in the world, I gotta spread world peace and democracy", so he grabs one and jumps
So, the Pope and the schoolboy are left with one parachute
The Pope says,"Son, you take the last parachute, God is looking down on me and HIS will will save me" (or sumtin like that, forgot this part)
Then the schoolboy says "Don't worry Pope, theres two parachutes left, the smartest man in the world just took my schoolbag and jumped off"

-
it's weird.....during the war with iraq some people were like "we have a shitty president, we're going to lose the war" but now that korea have been launching those missiles, i don't hear it as much. actually some people that i know of that hated bush like him now. O_o kind of like that saying "a dog will bark and chase a cat but will walk away from a bear with it's tail between it's legs" (something like that)
-
I see the same thing too tivx. Most of my family are Democrats, but after 9/11 they were glad to have Bush instead of Gore.

At the kids school today, there was this little cute 3 year old Japanese student.
She wore a bright pink t-shirt, and on the front had a black print of Bush's head with bunny ears, and the word "LAIR!!" printed in big bold silver letters.
On the back, it had the words "FUCK BUSH" in big letters, and "and his bloody business" in small.
Wonder if I can find that in a large size...

Actually, its an act. George Bush is really a very bright fellow. But, his education and natural smarts worked against him and cost him an election:
"In the president’s lone losing race, his 1978 run for Congress from West Texas, the victor stressed Bush’s two Ivy League degrees. Bush resolved never to allow himself to be outdumbed again."
That whole gee-whiz populist persona is a very successful put-on. The guy is crafty and, I believe, very evil or, at a minimum, amoral.
-
Those 'Ivy League degrees' are worth squat. He entered Yale as a legacy admission - not through merit - and his grades weren't exactly impressive. Being born into an influential oil family does have its advantages, I suppose

Yeah, I know....Most Americans think Bush is an idiot too, but you guys voted him in and that's how it is seen around the world.. And if you didn't vote at all, maybe you should have..
-
actually during the 2000 election, Bush got less votes than Al Gore, but he got more "electoral vote" because he won in Florida (his brother is the governor) There was a
scandal rumor about that .....
the second election @ 2004, many assholes thought they HAVE to support the war, so ............. what can I do ... I only got 1 vote
-
The electorial college needs to be done away with. It's useless.
-
The electorial college needs to be done away with. It's useless.
I don't know. It's important to recognize regional interests. Without the Electoral College grouping them into one voice the concerns of states like Alaska or South Dakota would be largely ignored while California, New York and Texas would completely dominate the national debate.
-
worst president evverrr
-
worst president evverrr
Could you support your claim a little further?
There are many Presidents that deserve the title but it all depends on the generation.
I would say the worst president ever was Jefferson Davis. Drove the country into war and never recovered. If you don't know him I suggest studying a bit more.
-
^ well, nooo, I won't study a bit more. I don't need to give examples of why he sucks, I wasn't trying to get all political here. That's just what I think of him, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, arn't they? and yes I do know who Jefferson Davis is, even though he wasn't an actual president out the United States....
-
You are posting in a discussion forum after all.
You’re just posting something then asking people not to criticize it, that just makes the whole forum worthless.
-
I didn't ask anybody to not criticize what I wrote, but fine, whatever, continue to criticize what I wrote if you want..
-
Political discussion and debate are good. Bickering is not. Let's keep things civil.

Only if there were more like yourself, maybe America wouldn't have such a bad name..

The electorial college needs to be done away with. It's useless.
The electoral college was made so that states that didn't have a ton of people living in them could be equally represented in the election of the president. If anything, we need to keep the electoral college despite it's flaws. If we got rid of it, California and New York would decide everything in the end. My dad is from Argentina, they have no electoral college and he says that Buenos Airies decides everything for the country and what might be good for it, probably isn't good for the rest of the country. I personally don't want California deciding everything for the country just because more people happen to live there, or New York. Just because it may be good for them, doesn't mean that people who live in smaller states like Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Vermont, Massachusetts, or Connecticut will be benefited, so they'd end up being completely looked over because they can't make up for the volume in people that other states have.
There were good intentions when the electoral college was made, but unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect government. Taking an AP US Government course taught me a lot about that. :/

I always find it funny when at these award shows like the Emmys and Oscars the whole of Hollywood etc. are under one roof, and Al Gore comes on stage and he always gets these CRAZY applauds from everyone in the audience... But when someone makes a Bush joke, everyone cracks up and doesn't find it inappropriate at all.. XD The majority of Hollywood is soooo anti-Bush... Nothing wrong with that, it's amusing!!

George Bush is the coolest dude. If he never had to make any decisions he would have been the best president ever.
-
Yeah I'm not a Bush fan, but his responds was awesome.
"who throws a shoe, honestly?" - Austin Powers
-
Ho, man, gotta stick around. I've peed my pants from laughing.
-
From The Life of Brian:
HARRY: Hold up the sandal, as He has commanded us!
ARTHUR: It is a shoe! It is a shoe!
HARRY: It's a sandal!
ARTHUR: No, it isn't!
GIRL: Cast it away!
ARTHUR: Put it on!
YOUTH: And clear off!
SHOE FOLLOWER: Take the shoes and follow Him!
-
I think this is the funniest clash of cultures, because in iraq, slapping someone with your shoe is meant to be the greatest show of disrespect to someone. (like when they pulled down saddam hussein's statue, they started hitting it with their shoes)
Whereas, in the West, we refer to the Austin Powers quote (which someone beat me to :P)
That gif is great.

Even ex-presidents can get hacked, and in fact it just happened to two of them. A criminal investigation is under way in the case of a mystery hacker who lifted private e-mails and photos sent between members of the Bush family -- including both former commanders in chief.
Some of the hacked Bush family emails concern the health of 88-year-old President George H.W. Bush during his recent stay at a Houston hospital.
According to the website The Smoking Gun, President George W. Bush emailed his siblings that he was "thinking about eulogy" and asked for stories that would reveal their father's sweet nature and favorite jokes. He added: "Hopefully I'm jumping the gun."
A Bush aide reportedly emailed the Bush children not to tell their mother, Barbara Bush, about the perilous state of their father's health. After nearly two months in the hospital, the elder Mr. Bush was released in mid-January.
A source close to the Bush family told us the emails were obtained by hacking the private account of the senior Mr. Bush's daughter, Doro. The materials include family photos, phone numbers, even self-portraits by the younger Mr. Bush. The Secret Service has launched an investigation into the hacking of the Bush families' emails. (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-33816_162-57568534/bush-family-emails-hacked/)
