Title: 'Lord Jesus Christ' struck by car in Northampton
Post by: Foxy Brown on May 11, 2010, 07:38:58 PM
Pedestrians are struck by cars in Northampton’s downtown area on occasion, but it’s not often one of those pedestrians has the same name as the son of God, according to the Northampton Police.

“I’ve been here 24 years, and that is a first,” said Northampton Police Captain Scott Savino.

Police responded at around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate an incident where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while he was in a Main Street crosswalk, Savino said. The man was hurt, but conscious, and handed police his identification, Savino said.

“He was identified from a Massachusetts ID card, so that is his legal name,” Savino added. The card listed his name as Lord Jesus Christ, Savino said. (http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/05/lord_jesus_chri.html)
