A 7-year-old girl wed a stray dog as part of a ritual to ward off the "evil eye" on her and her family in eastern India, a news agency reported Wednesday. (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/22/ap/strange/mainD8FU7HVO0.shtml)

What in the hell?

Well at least marrying a dog isn't so bad, and she's allowed to marry a real man when she's older. There's so much more sick ways to ward of these omens around the world than marrying a dog. At least if the dog hasn't rabies or something :)

Well, men are often bossed around by their GFs/wives as if they're dogs. Guess this is just a way of making it more obvious. :P :P :P

 Not cool!!!

I certainly hope consummating the marriage wasn't part of the rituals.
