After being teased for weeks by this rookie group, including solo intro videos for each member and individual Twitter accounts, I finally got to see them in action.
Girl's Day is a five member group under the management of DreamTea Entertainment - who have, I believe successfully, used social media to promote themselves before their official debut. Their official debut is July 9th, but they finally released the MV for their first single "Tilt My Head."

That song's doing nothing for me. Sounds kinda like Perfume, but not as good. Hopefully a few more songs, or even seeing live performances of this one can do something. miss A brought it, and it doesn't feel like Girls' Day did.

After the intro thought it was gonna be an awesome Korean Perfume. But was left with more like the feeling you get when you go to a discount market or a swap-meet and see those bootleg toys or t-shirts of famous cartoons or sentai characters... Sometimes it's hilarious, but sometimes it's just sad... They seem more indie than most groups so I'll give them that.

The doll concept really creeps me out, so I find it hard to enjoy the video. The song's okay. I do like the chorus, but that's about it. I think the biggest problem I have with this group is that they don't seem any different from the other groups out there. They don't stand out. =/

Just got word that the girls will be releasing a special summer album - not sure on the specifics for that.
But they did release the title MV for it called "How Do I Look" - hot girls and a water park...nice combo.

i think its safe to say that they are improving. they're still lacking in originality, but i kind of like their new song. its nice to hear their real voices.

From the radio show that Gyuri and Shindong host. I guess you could call this an MR-removed version or so. It sounds pretty much the same as the live perfs from the music shows so it proves that they actually sing in the live perfs :)

Man, this thread doesn't have the posts it deserves. When I first saw the NLF video when I was doing my top-10 KPop list for 2010, I was instantly hooked. Super-catchy song, and I was instantly crushing hard on Minah =P I don't know why this group doesn't have more exposure, NLF was an amazing song, Twinkle Twinkle is catchy, they're all cute and talented... Hopefully they'll gain some momentum as time goes on. Thanks for staying on top of things here NAzu~

Their company explained the the whole "outfits controversy" thing:
“At the location of the performance, the shorts did not come off obscene; however, netizens caught some provoking captures, which resulted in misunderstandings.”
They continued, “We’ve been promoting with these outfits all this time and no one made any type of criticism towards them until now. Nevertheless, we are currently revising the outfits as a response to the controversy.”
In the same article they mentioned that the there's a minialbum coming in june :) I'm really waiting for the minialbum, they've been doing all the older songs so many times so the minialbum is breath of fresh air for them.

Here's some thoughts about the interactive music video and the song:
Song: Very catchy, like Twinkle Twinkle or maybe even more addicting (have to listen more to find out :lol:). So I think the song rocks.
Music video: All the girls look so good and the outfits are nice. I wasn't sure about Yura's hair before this but I think the brown suits her very well, she looks so cute :inlove: I like the POV-style shooting too and the solo parts kick ass. Sojin's part is my favourite, she's so damn hot... :fap The scenery is very nice and I like the overall 'feel' of the mv.
Game: This was pretty fun idea as storyboard mentioned. This would have been even better if they actually talked.
Dance.ver: Man, if the actual perf is going to be anything like this it will be the best thing I have seen in a while. I hope they do the centipede hug in the perfs too :lol: :heart: :heart:

Wow dude, what just happened.... I think I just fell for Girl's Day... D:
So I ADORED Nothing Lasts Forever but then I really didn't like Twinkle Twinkle so I was like, meh, not gonna happen for me. But now Hug Me Once... OMG! I do really enjoy the song, not as much as NLF but still lots of fun, but that video clip/game/everything AHGSDJAFDJGKAS BRILLIANT! I was very sad to see it had so little views for something so well down. And it definitely deserves the best MV award come the end of the year, but that ain't gonna happen :(
Minah has always been the one I could recognise and the only name I knew, and as much as I dug her vocals, I never really went for her looks, but after the little date we just had, I think I am in love... I feel obliged to ask her to marry me now. Hell, I feel like I should ask all of them after that xD
Overall I am super impressed right now! Lets see if it stays that way :w00t:

LOL, what a ridiculous video :lol:...lived up to the teaser and then some (Jihae krump!) Unfortunately, the song itself is rather pedestrian...I know there are tons of catchy tunes, and none of them are particularly deep, but something about this song really comes off to me as "just another catchy song". That said, though, the video was hilarious (the sound effects were great, but kinda annoying if you just wanted to hear the damn song), and the track is ok...it'll grow on me, I'm sure, but it's sadly nothing special, imo...

Yeah I've been having the same feeling when I listen OMG. Like Minah and Sojin have awesome vocals but it's totally wasted in that song. For the next album concept I hope they go for a sexy style like NLF. I like the cutesy stuff too but they have done it so many times with Twinkle Twinkle, Hug Me Once and now with OMG.
The lack of Sojin in this thread is worrying me. Better fix it :lol:

I'm really enjoying this! I was hoping for a sexy concept, but I like this mature concept a lot more. I was getting tired of the same cute concept over and over again, its refreshing to see this. They all get to show how beautiful they all are, instead of making cute/funny faces and bouncing around all over the place. Hyeri looks especially good in this video, she had my heart fluttering near the end~ I hope to see more of this mature Girl's Day after this~

I didn't know what to expect from the teaser but holy shit is this stuff good or what! I like that they ditched the overly cute concept and went with the more mature one (they're still cute but now it seems more normal). MV is awesome, Hyeri really stands out in that green dress and Sojin ofc (my bias). Yura's rap sounds good too and Minah has some great vocals so it's all good :) I liked how they went with the more colorful outfits for the live perf cos those pastel colored ones would have been kinda boring.

It's a pity Jihae left the group I liked her the most, but their comeback looks quite good. They came back with a more mature concept but I still find Minah to be overly cute even though she may or may not be focusing on it (not that it's always a bad thing). If she can find a good balance for her cuteness she would be perfect.

Well live performances are going to be SEXY. Only thing I did not like about the MV was the T-ara-like, seizure-inducing, constant scene changes XD
As for the song, the more I listen to it the more I like it.

I quite like it :3 The choreography is maybe just slightly too obvious with trying to be sexy, like one move could be changed into something else and it'd still be hot but not too obviously so... But yeah. Hot stuff.
I dunno if it's because of all her eye-sexing in the CSI video, but Hyeri is standing out to me more now. :lol: I feel like I should watch their previous promo song's MV again since she had a prominent role in that. And Sojin of course is dreamy, but I think I prefer her with more subtle make-up and hair-colour, so she looks like a soft kitten - the red lipstick is a bit much.
And Minah looks so much better without ridiculous bangs, but I think she got rid of those a while ago. :lol:
And I realize I can actually name all the members with ease now. If I had more time, I'd probably put some effort into becoming a fan. Only a couple weeks and I should have more time for hotties/cuties ;_;

Ahhh I love it. This is something more in line with Nothing Lasts Forever (in terms of concept), and you know what I say to that...SIGN ME UP. I've typically liked Girl's Day, but this is the first song of theirs in a while that really caught my eye and I could say I legitimately liked...and the eye candy is, of course, of the highest quality...Yura's looking all kinds of good, and I'm digging the red on Sojin. The song's got 90s vibes, definitely up there in terms of what I consider to be the best songs of the year so far...though it's not like it was a stacked list to begin with :lol:
