A rail maintenance train drove right through a shop on Sunday night and ended up in
a square outside the railway station in the town of Stavoren, in the northern province of Friesland.

Two people in the train's cabin sustained slight injuries.

The train drove through the buffers at around 23:30 and went on to smash a 30-meter hole in a water sports shop,
pushing an empty diesel tanker on the other side of the buffers ahead of it. It came to a halt some 100 meters further on,
in a square behind the shop.

A police spokesperson said it was a miracle more people were not injured. It is not known what caused the accident.

Wow, that's pretty ridiculous, and lucky no one was killed.
