I'm not entirely sure which I want to get. These are all terrific choices. The ones that jump out most to me are Sasshi and Ami. That SKE48 one sounds sweet as well, but I question if it will be that good since if will be featuring a fuckton of girls in 6 or 7 pages. I'm really going to try and only get two this year. Kickass, you can't lose with this selection. :thumbup (Except for the lack of Rena)

Maeda Atsuko: Can't go wrong with Acchan, but getting her calendar wouldn't be special either. Everybody likes Acchan.
Itano Tomomi: I have my periods of Tomochin fandom, but what about the days I can't stand her? lol
Kojima Haruna: Last year's calendar was like 7 times the same sort of pic...
Kasai Tomomi: My highest ranked girl to get a solo calendar, but her previous calendar was really weak... She tends to try too hard sometimes.
Kitahara Rie: Interesting choice. She has been looking great lately.
Sato Amina: Another interesting choice. Girl next door vibe.
Sashihara Rino: Another top favorite who's been looking amazing lately. Her calendar should be interesting because it can go in any direction; fun, wota, adult-looking, cute, etc.

Then there is another problem. Some of the Idoling girls (Tonooka) and other Gravure idols (Ogura, etc) are releasing calendars too! That just complicates things even further. I comfess I have never bought an AKB calendar :lol: This year I got Ostuka Ai's and the year before that Tonooka Erica... :panic:

So yeah, I'll probably end up buying Myao's or Mayu's :lol: :lol:

I'm drawing the line at two this year, though. I've already decided that I can't be ultra wasteful like last year. :lol: Still, I'm waiting on preview pictures before I order or decide anything. There's too many great choices to lock in just yet.

Myao's and Itano's seem to be standard pics, not the actual previews yet.

In sum, the preview didn't help me decide at all, in fact, they made it that much harder to decide... :panic: :panic: :panic: :lol:

Question for the girls; if there was a guy you liked and you'd enter his room, what sort of calendar would be the biggest turn-off? For example, the cute idol 'girlfriend' type or the random 'sexy woman' type? Or wouldn't it bother you at all, because 'guys will be guys'?? :lol:

I think I would be more turned off by a sexy calendar! Well, I think... I would ask who it was- or remember their name to look them up... I think- if they had a cute idoly calendar up, especially seeing as I like idol groups myself and stuff, I would understand why and feel as the calendar isn't suggestive or graphic or anything that-- of course they could still REALLY "like" that cute girl... but the calendar doesn't strongly suggest that the guy likes them in that sort of way.
However some sort of "Bikini BABEZ" calendar would put me off somewhat- as... of course "guys will be guys" but a calendar like that is almost bragging or suggesting "Yes, I do THAT whilst looking at this calendar :wink:"...
I think I'd prefer to look them up and find they;re some innocent girl in a group or actress than an AV actress or underwear model! :lol:

However, if I was to speak realistically- personally I'd be put off by realising I'm paying more attention to the calendar than to the guy! :lol:;;

It depends on how old I think the girls on the calendar are :lol:
If it was one of the sexier ones, I'd think "boys will be boys," but a cute, idol, looks like she's in her teens? I might be a bit weirded out, but hey who am I to judge

I bought Amina's calendar based solely off this image. I didn't expect her calendar to be so good, but damn she looks so yummy :drool:

I'm glad Myao is actually wearing a bikini in her calendar, I soooo wanted the 2010 calendar but it was too plain.

Actually, it looks pretty good to me. Yes, a lot of Matsui action... maybe some more unit pics would've been nicer and give J and R their own solo calendars. Still, with only 7 pages it's pretty hard to feature everybody in a cool way.

edit: Even though I like Rena's page, I'm generally not a big fan of close-ups for calendars. With a B2 sized page, a close up face will look extremely huge and creepy. :nervous

Yesasia sold this years Erena calendar for 70% off during their sale, but that was already late in the year. They must have had some leftovers.

But yeah, keep an eye on the stock, because they will sell out eventually!

The calendar is just really huge ... which makes the close of Reina's face seem kinda creepy.
(even though I'd love to see a close up of Rumi's face on her calendar since I love her blotchy skin :nervous)

After 4 months of research and pic searching, I have made my final decision! I will not be buying a calendar. :lol: :nervous

Some of the calendars do look good, but sadly not the ones from my favs. I looked at other artists and idols (Idoling, Hirano Aya, Ueto Aya, Otsuka Ai, Ogura Yuko, Kumada Yoko, Yamamoto Azusa etc, etc.) but they are too plain or too slutty.

So, what's the game plan? Will my walls be empty in 2011?! No! I have French Kiss poster from the G the TV magazine. That's a great way to have some Yuki on my wall! Secondly, in the latest issue of G the TV there is an epic Rena poster! So I'ma get that as well. Sure, there will be less variety than a calendar, but at least I'll have my true oshimens on my wall!

One more thing, if Watanabe Pro releases a Watanabe Girls calendar and it's somehow available I might pick that up as well.

CDJapan is going with a different strategy this year! Seems like they started with a 'pre-sale' which means all calendars are now 10% off!

I still believe they will come down 15~50 later on, but it might be risky to wait that long.

Tip: Get the 500 yen coupon and buy two calendars! :lol:
