Yossy hurt her pelvis during training and went to the hospital to get it checked out. Doctors said she shouldnt run in a marathon because her body wont take it.
So she's decided to pull out even though she was training for it for so long and looking forward to running in it.
But she'll still be coming to Sydney (thank God, or I'd cry xD) to support her team and act as a reporter at the race.

But still. Good that she will get time to get to know her body better and train harder for future events!! GOOD LUCK YOSSI.

I'm totally gonna be there. I'm thinking Opera House meet up, as that's where the run ends ... and everyone knows where it is and how to get there. That's where I'll be going, anyway. :-)

ANYWAY, we're all getting there at different times and we live in different parts of Sydney/NSW so its gonna be hard to get a meet up at the beginning of the day, BUT I'll put MY details down so if you'd like to join me, go ahead~
First off, I have no idea which marathon Team 10 are running in (either the half or the full) but the half marathon starts at 6.20AM and the full marathon starts at 7.30AM. The start off point is at MILSON'S POINT (like near Luna Park)
I shall be getting to Milson's Pt at around 6.10...
I suggest meeting at Central so its easier for everyone... but its freaking early so I dunno how many people will turn up.
So PLATFORM 16 at Central BEFORE 5.58 so you dont have to run for the train.
ANYWAY! I think all of you should know what I look like so I dont need to post a pic.
And if you need my mobile number, then PM/FB me and I'll give it to you~
As for any other details, I have no idea.
If we don't see Yossy first up, I dunno what to do but I assume we'll be running around a lot. But as long as we have each other's contacts details it should be okay.
And we gotta get to the end in about 2 or so hours cos theys when most people start finishing and I assume Yossy would be there at the end.
As for karaoke or lunch or whatever, we'll figure that out on the day xD

Out of all the celebrities on the planet, she's the one I that I really, really, really wanted to meet - she's basically the only one I want to meet.
However ... I didn't find any other HiPsters, and I didn't see Yossy (Story of my life :smhid), but ... maybe I didn't try hard enough? I had a terrible nights sleep last night stressing about it.
I hope it worked out better for the others.
It's silly, but I'm actually genuinely upset that I haven't got to meet her. :cry: I was looking so forward to it, too. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
I hope everyone else had more luck than I did.
Instead, I will show her my support in the usual way, and send her a fanmail (this will be the third since 2006), saying how glad I was that she could come, and how sorry I am that I have yet to meet her. (Obviously in more words than that).
And as much as I'm looking forward to everyone else photos/videos, etc, seeing those is probably gonna just make me feel even more left out.
Sorry for wallowing in such a state of despair right now, but it's just how I genuinely feel - I hope some of you can relate.

CAZ’S REPORT ON SYDNEY MARATHON
First off, I knew Yossy was gonna start reporting at 5am but I had no idea where she was going to be. The night before, I told myself to sleep early so I went to bed at 9pm but was so nervous and excited, I couldn’t sleep until about midnight which sucked cos I had to wake up at around 3am. When I woke up, I still had butterflies in my stomach and I was so excited yet nervous. I had no idea what to expect but I didn’t want ANY regrets by the time I got home, so I told myself I’d go all out. I wore a Yossy T-shirt, brought her presents with me, my camera, my phone, and some things in case she could give a signature (brought extra T-shirt, towel and bag).
My train was actually on time (and creepily empty at 4am xD) and I got to Milson’s Point (the station of the marathon start area) at around 5.15am. It was PITCH BLACK and I couldn’t see anything (except my fluro yellow shoes lol). I figured I should start searching straight away but the park was HUGE, I’m so liL and I felt like I was blind in the darkness. I circled around that park more than 20 times. No joke. Each time I heard Japanese, I’d turn to look but it was never Yossy =(
Btw, there were like 12837913213 Japanese people running the marathon (like half the people there were Japanese). I was also looking for a blonde Asian but that was just… pointless.
I pretty much gave up after 20 rounds around the park and just stood in the middle. I decided to just kill time by playing with my phone.... Before I could do anything, I see some extremely cool looking girl walk past and it was Yossy!!!! I was in such a state of shock. Like, my heart stopped and my brain just fried. Instant kill. I remember my first impressions being “wow, so pretty…”, “aww, she looks so small!” and “poor Yossy looks so tired” xD. I stood there staring into space for a good 2 minutes before my hand finally moved to get my camera. She was with two guys. I assumed one of them was her manager and the other guy was holding a recorder/microphone next to her the entire time. Btw, she had brown hair which is why looking for blonde Asians was pointless xD
Her manager looked at me and I kinda freaked out for a bit and he gave me this look. You know the I-know-you-know-who-she-is kinda look? Well, it felt like he gave me that look. I didn’t wanna just stand there, gaping at her (though I wouldn’t mind actually, she’s SOOOO PRETTY!), so I gathered up ALL my courage and walked up to her. Her manager looked/glared at me the whole 2 metres I had to walk to reach her. I said “Umm Yossy?” and she looked up at me with a who-are-you-and-how-do-they-know-me kinda look and I just pulled out the present I got for her (the koala plushies and card – I placed them all in a gift bag) and said “present for you”. She took it, said “arigatou” and peeked inside. She looked back up at me and I asked her “is it okay if I take a photo with you (in Japanese)” and before she even reacted, her manager gave me a flat-out “dame/no!”. I was kinda sad after that but said “thanks” anyway, gave a little bow and took a step away. Her manager moved to stand in front of her and I didn’t want to look awkward so I turned away a bit and her other teammates started to gather around. I saw her look at the two koalas before putting them back into my gift bag and putting the gift bag into some other bag.
Now, at this point, my mind was completely blown and in little shreds. I just MET Yossy, gave her a present and she said thanks to me!! I immediately called zay to tell her the good news! She was still asleep xD But I had to tell SOMEONE and zay was just first on my contact list xD You can ask her, I gushed about Yossy to her. Unfortunately, zay couldn’t it make it out today but I’ll explain all that later (maybe…).
After standing around for a few more minutes, I saw her manager point somewhere and telling her something so I assumed they’d start moving soon. But in the middle of the park, she just started changing o.o I was wondering why she would do such a thing in a public place but whatever, it’s Yossy, she does what she feels like xD. She took off her jacket and shirt (she had another shirt underneath) before putting on more layers of clothing, a scarf and gloves xD. Well it WAS FREAKING COLD at 5am so I can see why she wore so many layers with the ninja scarf and gloves and everything. Afterwards, she went to go get a free cap and hat and I took a look at her little team area. LOTS of people were around and I didn’t really know who they were looking for. Either Yossy or Takahashi Naoko (her relative) but neither one of them were there at the time.
Then all of a sudden a Japanese lady tapped me on the shoulder and asked me all these things but I was a bit surprised so I didn’t really listen to what she said. She repeated herself after I gave her a questioning look and she just asked me “are you part of this team?” and in my head I was just thinking ‘do I look like part of this team..?’ but I told her “no” and she asked me if I could “help her get a photograph with Q-chan (Takahashi Naoko)” anyway. I had nothing better to do at the time (Yossy was still lining up for her hat xD) so I said I would. I honestly didn’t see Naoko at the time but then all of a sudden I see a girl walking with a thousand people talking to her. I look closely and wow, it’s Naoko! I helped the Japanese lady get a photo and her husband called her before I could say anything else but I found out she came from Melbourne and teaches Japanese at school. She complimented my Japanese after she found out I was just learning at school and all that stuff too.
So now I’m feeling pretty good about myself. But I guess I just kept looking at Yossy too much and I really did try to get a lot of photos but when I looked back at them, a lot of them are really blurry or people were in the way. Her manager always stood to her side or in front of her which always blocked my view. I swear he did it on purpose but I can’t blame him. Strange Asian chick photo stalking Yossy is creepy so yeah. At this time, the marathon still hadn’t started so it was still early and I was still the only person there. Naoko, Yossy and the rest of Team 10 were gathered around and they were getting a pep talk from Naoko. After Naoko’s mini speech, they went to pose for a team photo. So many cameras appeared out of no where. All these Japanese people also started realising that an ex-MoMusu was in Sydney xD
I heard announcements in both Japanese and English informing us that the race would start soon and saw her manager run up and down to figure out what was happening. Since I kept starting at Yossy, I could see she wasn’t wearing much make up. Just some eye make up and she looked EXTREMELY tired. Like, I could see bags under her eyes and she was drinking a lot of coffee (or something else, I dunno).
ANYWAY, I saw Yossy run up to the start point and followed her. I saw Naoko too and the commentator guy was stating how Naoko won the Sydney Olympics 10 years ago and she’s here to run again and we should all support her. At this time, Yossy was with her team (Team 10) and they were just hanging around waiting. This is when I realised they weren’t running the half marathon, but running the full marathon which started at 7.30am. The half marathon started at 6.20am and I think they were only there that early cos Naoko had to pull the start gun for both marathons.
Yossy took HEAPS of photos. Her manager took lots of photos for her with her iPhone and at some point she was on the phone with someone (she has at least 2 phones). After the half marathon started, Yossy walked back to the park and Team 10 walked with her. I was seriously thinking what I should do cos I was just standing around, staring at Yossy. Not strange/suspicious at all…
By the time the full marathon was ready to begin, Yossy seemed a bit more awake. A bit. She still looked really tired but she seemed more energetic. Or at least, more alive than at 5am xD Naoko did her little speech again and I noticed her manager still staring at me. The photographer for Team 10, and the other girls there seemed really nice and always smiled at me xD This was when I finally realised there was a white girl amongst them. I decided to start a conversation with her and as I was talking, Yossy turned to look at me (or us). Some time before this, Yossy had put on her sunglasses so I couldn’t see her eyes but her head was turned towards our direction (she had to look behind her to see us). She was either looking at us or at the other Japanese marathon runners. I tried not to stare back and kept up my conversation with the white girl xD She’s actually from Sydney and wasn’t attached to Yossy, but attached to Naoko as an interpreter.
She was REALLY nice and I never even got her name in the end ><. Naoko walked past us and I remember thinking ‘wow, she looks like Oshima Yuko from AKB48!’ and I think the interpreter caught me looking at Naoko cos she asked me “would you like a photo with her?” and without even thinking, I nodded. She got Naoko’s attention and I got a picture with her! I could still FEEL Yossy’s stare on us and Naoko gave me a smile and she was about to say something to me before the commentator said she should get ready now since the marathon is starting very soon so she had to leave.
I was still within 5metres of Yossy as the marathon started. It takes forever to get ALL participants past the start line so we were all waiting for a while. Team 10 members had already disappeared a while ago and were already participating in the race. The one thing I was confused about was the fact that Naoko hadn’t started running. She was still cheering people on from the sidelines. After EVERYONE went past the start line, I heard her say “Oh, do I go now? Okay I’m off!” and she took off. She’s extremely energetic and a very lively person xD I heard Yossy shout a “ganbatte!” to Naoko before turning to ask her manager something. I saw a lady rush over with a phone in her hand yelling out “the car is ready (in Japanese)!” and I knew they were going to get a ride over to the finish line.
But then I remembered something. A while ago, I started drawing Yossy a lot and I actually brought them all with me. I wanted to give it to her as a present but really didn’t know how to do it. So, like I did before, I gathered all my courage, yelled out a “Yossy!” and said “another present”. She took it, looked at it, looked a bit confused, then gave a little smile, looked up at me, tilted her head and I completely died. She said “ari…gato…u” exactly like that. I have no idea why she spoke so slowly but the whole time, she was looking at the drawing. I put my hand out for a handshake and she shook it was two hands! With her gloves off! I have no idea when she took them off but I was happy xD Her hands were freezing though. Mine were too xD She gave a little smile before her manager guided her away.
Now, I was like “oh crap!” cos I’d have to catch a train whilst she’s in a car. So I just took one last look at Yossy (in case I wouldn’t find her at the end again) and seriously sprinted to the train station. I feel as if I ran a marathon today. I did so much running/jogging/walking to follow Yossy. ANYWAY, as I was running towards the train, Deft texts me saying he’s at Milson’s Point. I told him to meet at the Opera House and we did~ He was with a friend, I guess it was an awkward start but it’s like that with every new person you meet, right? Anyway, we walked in and out of the finish line SO MANY TIMES. We went into the resting zone and seriously everywhere in the area but couldn’t find Yossy.
Then we just decided to look for a place to eat so we had to walk all the way to the other side of the Opera House (which is very very far away) to get food. But whilst walking out, something caught my eye. Three Japanese girls who just finished the half marathon, in Yossy T-shirts, with Yossy towels, standing near the finish. I told Deft that I think they were the Japanese Yossy fangirls and whilst we were mumbling about that, one of them turns and sees the JPHiP signs and came over to talk to us. They told us when marathon runners start to finish, Yossy will come but she’s not here yet. They went to pick up their gear, and we went to get food.
On the way back, I saw a Team 10 member running and was like “OH CRAP! Yossy should be there then!” I knew the half marathon runners would take about 2 hours and it was pretty much 2 hours since it started so I had a feeling Yossy would be at the finish line soon. Sometime during this, I get a text from Freya (from HitomiHeaven) saying she’s over at the Opera House as well. We get back to the Opera House and Freya finds us. I don’t know how but it actually surprised me a bit xD Anyway, whilst getting food, we were texting each other and after telling Freya what Yossy was wearing, Freya tells me she saw someone looking exactly like that. I was freaking out (again xD) and we just sticking near Yossy’s team mates.
Anyway, I looked to my left, and caught sight of Yossy and was all “YOSSY!” and pointed. The Japanese fangirls even ran up to us to inform us that they found Yossy! Yossy is SUPER nice to them. Like seriously. Well, I can understand why. They go EVERYWHERE for her. Anyway, she smiled and waved at them and they yelled out that we were fans from Sydney. Yossy repeated “fans from Sydney?” and just nodded. I swear at this time, I felt like I was just annoying Yossy so I started feeling a bit bad.
I didn’t want to just lose any opportunity though so I still followed her as much as possible. Basically Yossy’s job was… when a Team 10 member finishes, go up to them, congratulate them, take a photo with them and give a short interview. So she was running up and down the finish zone a lot. From here on, we were literally just following every single one of her steps and I could understand why she’d get annoyed. Whenever she left the marathon finish zone, we’d follow. At some point, she went to rest in the shade (well I didn’t know she was resting until afterwards) but we followed and I saw her manager get a bit annoyed. Yossy had a cap and glasses on so I couldn’t tell but I felt as if she kept looking at us… Whether that’s a good or bad thing, I don’t know.
She went back to the finish zone, doing the same thing for a while. Then she went to the OTHER side. Now that I think about it, it was probably to avoid us. But unfortunately I didn’t think of that at the time and we followed her. Freya/Deft had their video cams on and I was about to take a photo but then Yossy said something to her manager and he came up to us and said “excuse me, please stop, she’s on her break” or something like that. At THAT point I felt REALLY bad but my brain just left me and I couldn’t even manage a “sorry Yossy”. Also, I think it was too in the moment so we just kinda shuffled away and at that time, Pops contacted us, saying she was nearby. Yossy went back to the finish zone, we went around to where Pops (and her friend, Lucy, who should post at the forums more) was standing.
For a good 2 or so hours, we just followed Yossy’s every movement. Not as much as before, but still kept an eye on her. I can’t really remember the time, but Freya had to go at some point. ZetaCron also found us somewhere at the finish zone. Sometime here, we were also informed that zay had family commitments to attend to and couldn’t make it out to the city to see Yossy. Anyway, I think Yossy felt a bit better as her Team members arrived and we stopped following so crazily. Thinking over it again, I still feel REALLY bad. I don’t know if its cos of the manager’s constant scowl, Yossy just not looking particularly energetic for the whole time or me just over-reacting but I still feel really bad each time I think about it ><
Anyway, the marathon cut-off time was approaching and at that point, I hadn’t even seen Naoko yet. I didn’t really think she’s be THAT slow cos she’s a Gold medallist but I saw her running in with someone near the end. Then I realised she finished WAY before and just ran back to help and support her Team mates by running with them to the finish. She’s so nice and sweet!!! I recall hearing she ran over 70kms!! Insane!
Yossy also decided to do what Naoko was doing at some point and ran back and forth with Team members as well. Finally after 5 hours since the full marathon started, everything finished. People began to move away and Team 10 members were still left. This is when I realised how many Japanese fans actually came to see Yossy or Naoko cos they were still waiting around. Team 10 took some final group photos and some marathon runners asked to take pictures with Yossy. It happened pretty quick. They asked for a picture, stood next to her and someone took a pic. Yossy was pretty fast to strike a pose as well but I don’t think they gave her much time to respond anyway xD
The Yossy fangirls were still there and they waited for her to pass by. I was extremely jealous of how close Yossy went to them but I know that it’s most likely because they attend every single one of her events. Plus she knows them fairly well right? They asked her “what about us?” and Yossy posed for a pic with them. The manager took the photo. For once, he actually smiled and took a photo for them. That’s when I realised how familiar they must be to Yossy xD
As Yossy left, lots of people were screaming out “Yossy!” and I know MANY people wanted to take a photo with her but you win some, you lose some. I REALLY want a photo with her but that may just have to wait for another time. Have absolutely no regrets waking up at 3am and had an extremely great time following Yossy around the city I know so well ^____^
Anyway, after that, we all left to go grab something to eat. We went Korean restaurant, ordered food, ate the food and then went to Capitol. Capitol is where there’s lots of sticker photos/purikura and machines where you use the claw to pick up the toys. I WON A HANGRY DOLL! That’s all that matters xD That really made me happy and I will never lose that doll xD Afterwards, we went to karaoke and sang for 2 hours before heading home.
Yes, I got lazy near the end but it’s been a long day and I’m so tired xD

Right! Report time!
My one's not as centred around Yossy as much as lilcazza's, but to be fair, I didn't get to see as much of her as Caz did. Still, I almost got out 3000 words on this baby. Enjoy!
I got up at 5AM (the time that lilcazza got to Milsons Point to stalk Yossy at the starting point of the marathon) and then left home with my school friend, Chris, at 6AM to walk to the train station. On our way to Milsons Point, I was just texting back and forth with Caz, Pops and Zay. When I found out that Cazza had shaken hands with Yossy, excitement started kicking in with the realisation that, yes, Hitomi Yoshizawa was in Sydney. As soon as my friend and I got off at the Milsons Point train station, Caz texts me to say that Yossy just left in a car and that we’d meet at the Opera House... Nice. So we hopped on another train and were anticipating the events that awaited us.
We got to the Opera House, met up with Caz, were in awe of her awesome Chinese-style hoodie. I think she liked my friend because he basically did whatever she said and he liked her because of her amazing hair and very cool hoodie. We walked through the park and all around the finishing zone in front of the Opera House to try finding Yossy, not knowing whether she was even there or not. We eventually stopped at the bottom of the stairs, behind the fences with all the spectators lined up along them. In front of us were three Japanese girls and Cazza said that Daigong had told her that there was a group of Yossy followers who he’d met at a Hangry & Angry concert before. She also noticed that the middle girl was wearing a Yossy shirt and said that they must be the girls who Dai was talking about. I kind of dismissed it, saying that Yossy probably had more than a few fans there today, but then the Japanese girls turned around, looked at us and were all, “JPHiP?”
Egad. I’m just glad that I didn’t make a bet. We met them, shook hands and names. From what I gathered (I’m a little hard for hearing, so had to ask each of them to tell me their names twice) they were Miki, Aya and Mo (maybe Tomo?). They made a pretty solid effort to speak in English and then Cazza told them that she spoke Japanese, so then they went into some other world that I just kind of observed from a few centimetres away. Just as they were going, I asked them something, can’t remember what and Caz was nice enough to translate for me. So good having a translator there with us :D Those girls also had some swanky gear signed by Yossy. I could hear the envy in Cazza’s voice, haha :lol:
Chris was a little too energetic for most of the day, running ahead of us whenever we were walking somewhere. I was a little jealous. At around 9:30AM, Chris decided that he was starving and Yossy still wasn’t there, so we decided to go and get some food before the marathon runners started arriving at the finish line. The food court near us was closed and the McDonald’s was closed due to technical difficulties of some sort. Chris almost resolved to catch a train by himself to another station just to get something to eat, but then we remembered that there was a Subway somewhere close-ish (about 20 minutes walk away, sorry Caz :sweatdrop:). On the way there, one of Cazza’s Hitomi Heaven (I’m pretty sure) friends, Freya, called her and asked if they could meet up, so we all headed back to the Opera House after my friend got his sub and Caz got her six cookies.
A couple of hundred metres or so away from the Opera House, Cazza was talking on the phone to Freya and then she [caz] got a little bit edgy and had her voice raised, almost shouting “What do you mean, ‘you think’ you saw her!?” So, we hurried along, met Freya and sooner or later, she exclaimed, “YOSSY! SHE’S HERE!!!”
I seem to recall alarm bells going off somewhere, but that could’ve just been in my head. We ran over and surely enough, there was Hitomi Yoshizawa, in the flesh. I must say, her beauty took my breath away. It’s a cliche thing to say, but I was taken aback by how stunning she was. I only had a video camera with me, but all my footage of her is basically just crappy filming, zooming in and out on her, but mostly in on her face. Earlier in the morning, Caz told Chris just to yell out “YOSSY!” and that it might help us find her, as a joke I believe. Well, he actually did it as soon as she said that and then he did it and waved at her when we were standing a few meters away from her. She was standing in the middle of the running track, after the finish line at that moment. She turned around to face us, then smiled and waved. It looks really great on film, from what I recall because it looks like she’s waving right at the camera. Seeing her smile – she’s so gorgeous! :heart:
Yossy was always with her manager (not the bald one who has some sort of vendetta against tru XD) and some assistant-looking guy. We tried approaching her when she went in the shade of an ice cream vendor to try getting photos and autographs, but he shot us an icy daggers look, which made us back off a little. We kind of stood there for a little, complaining that we wouldn’t be able to get close to Yossy at this rate and also fanning over how fantastic she is, although Freya and Cazza more than Chris and myself. She randomly started doing warm-up stretches (which I’m told is something that she tends to do), to which Caz and Freya squealed in response. Haaaaa, fangirls :lol:
Yossy then went back onto the track, so we walked back up next to the track and did a little more stationary stalking until she went over to rest in the shade of the refreshment station. We waltzed on over there, cameras and all, trying to get photos of her in her cute, light blue cap that she’d just recently put on and me attempting to film her. My footage of that part isn’t too good, because I tried not being suss about it, which failed because I walked in front, filming the Opera House and the crowd, then just panned around to look at Yossy quickly before going past her to maintain the natural look. Note to self:- that sort of things does not come across as natural. Her manager then came over and asked us if we could stop taking photos and the like because Yossy was trying to rest. Freya said that she must have asked him to tell us that, because she saw her say something to him just before he came over. Naturally, we felt bad about it and kind of sulked a little on the stairs nearby. That didn’t last long, with Freya and Cazza just spazzing over Yossy-related things. My friend told me that they were serious fangirls, knowing what her favourite colour was and then what she changed it to. Now that’s dedication.
At that point, I got a text from Pops, saying that Captain Lubey and herself were at the Opera House. Surely enough, we saw them on the stairs in front of the Opera House, opposite to us. We stood on our side for a little longer, hoping Yossy would come back out, but she didn’t while we were there. Pops texted me, telling me to point to where Yossy was, so I did and then I just saw Pops started taking stalker photos from across the way of Yossy, whose face was mostly covered by her cap. We then went to meet Pops and CL on the side of the Opera House, which was something of a surreal experience for me, having heard both of them on the Poppin’ with Pops radio show before, but never actually having met them in person until today.
At this point, (it must’ve been around 11:30AM) runners from the marathon were coming in through the finishing line and Chris was getting rather bored. I can’t blame him, seeing as he has zero interest in Asian music and came along with me simply because he’s a good friend. I was with Cazza, Pops and CL, along the fence, watching people cross the finish line, when I turned around to see the Chris lying across several steps asleep. Pops pointed out that he looked quite drunk. She got me to film him for a bit as well, which was fun for a few seconds until I decided to go and wake him up because police and medics were starting to gather near him :nervous
Sadly, I got a text from Zay, saying that she wouldn’t be able to make it because she was spending the day with her family, which she had suspected about as much as we had. Next time, sis!!! :yep:
Much to our surprise, Zetacron found us (Pops pimping the JPHiP shirt draws attention ;)) and he was wearing a faded Mario cap as well as a Marvel Civil War t-shirt, which was really quite cool. I talked to him a few times throughout the day and he’s really nice. He’s studying Japanese and hopes to go there someday. He told me later, while we were walking to find a place to eat lunch, that he came to stalk Yossy earlier in the morning, couldn’t find her, so he went back home, made a sad post in this thread (which I read when I got home) and then decided to give seeing Yossy one last shot. I’m glad that it paid off for him :D
Around 2 or so hours later, Yossy’s olympic gold medalist relative came through the finishing line, helping another Japanese runner. There were a lot of cheers when she came through. She was really energetic, with a huge smile on her face, wearing hot pink. She then ran back onto the course and continued to help her fellow Japanese participants to the end, which was a very sweet thing of her to do, especially after a scene that I’d scene earlier in the day. Several hours before, I watched to Japanese runners coming in over the finish line, a man and a woman. As soon as they got over, the woman’s legs just gave way beneath her and she collapsed on the ground. She had to be carried off to a side to recover. The man was holding her hand the whole time. Very touching.
I’m losing my sense of time here, but around half an hour after seeing Yossy’s relative the first time, we moved further up the track, before the finish lines, because Yossy and her cuz were waiting together there. We chatted, took photos and filmed, waiting for the race to officially be over. Once again, Chris shouted, “YOSSY!!!!” and waved. Once again, she turned around, gave us a brilliant smile and waved back. Finally, her relative and her started running together, to finish off the marathon. I happened to be the only one with a camera out, but 1) my camera was off, and 2) even after I’d turned my camera on, it took me a few seconds to realise that the lens cover was still on. Oh, the fail :doh:
Cazza, Pops and Zetacron went back to the finishing zone to see if they’d be able to get any interaction with Yossy before she left, while CL, Chris and myself stayed back because we were lazy and our legs didn’t feel like it. After about 10 or 15 minutes, we decided to walk over there because we were afraid that something had happened to them and Pops wasn’t picking up her phone. When we got there, we found out that she’d left and that her Japanese followers managed to get a photo with her. I feel sorry for Caz, but to be fair, they must spend a lot of money to follow her all around the world, so they definitely deserved that much at least.
Some time around 2PM, all six of us (Pops, Caz, CL, Zetacron, Chris and me) went to go get lunch. We caught a train to Town Hall, figured that we should’ve gone to Central, couldn’t be bothered getting on another train, and decided to just walk the extra distance to wherever it is we were going to eat. We stopped off at Starbuck’s so CL could try some green tea frappacino or something along those lines. I’m told that it was noms. We ended up going to a decently priced Korean cafe/restaurant sort of place opposite Capitol Theatre, called (if memory serves correctly) MillioRe. Pops and I had jajang myung, while everyone else had bibimbap (it reminded me of kuro). I’m bloody terrible with chopsticks, no joke. The black bean sauce kept flying off my chopsticks and onto the table between Pops and myself. I’m still not quite sure, but I might have dirtied her JPHiP shirt with black bean sauce. It got there somehow, although I’d like to think that it wasn’t my fault. Then again, it probably was. Pops treated me to a beer that we’d previously decided she owed me. We went for the Hite beer, thinking that it was the one that Lee Hyori promoted, but then we saw Big Bang on posters for it afterwards and I was all D: Don’t worry, Pops, even though CL didn’t like the beer, I did! That said though, I’ve had light beer that has tastes stronger than that did :lol:
After lunch, we went upstairs to play those claw games where you try to pick up plush toys, while Pops and CL went back to their hotel to get some more layers/tell reception that they’d be checking out later than they’d expected. I’m glad that I didn’t try playing the game, because I generally suck at these kinds of things, as did pretty much everyone, until Caz had a go, that is. One go. One go and she won the Hangry doll. She was so happy :D I have to give props to Zetacron though, as he is the one who set up the doll in a good position.
I’d promised Chris at the beginning of the day that I’d take him for karaoke, regardless of the plans of the hipstaz plans for later in the day, but when I told everyone that, they were all, “Yeah! Let’s go karaoke!!” We went and were there for 2 hours. We sang J-pop, K-pop and English songs, although the first two genres were rather difficult. Luckily we decided upon the karaoke place that had MVs for a lot of the songs, so even when we were sitting there, without a clue as to what the lyrics were, we had something nice to look at. I mostly remember going in there and then Caz, Pops and CL sounding concerned and shouting, “There’s no Morning Musume!!?” I think that rubbed off on me as well, because then I was incredulous as well. It’s fine though, it ended up that they did have MoMusu :thumbup Chris got really into a lot of the English songs. Ask anyone who was there, he was quite energetic and dramatic about his singing. I think my personal favourite part was getting up with CL and doing the legs/hips dance to Abracadabra. It’s probably really bad because that’s the first time that I’ve attempted it. Oh well, I’m pretty sure that Pops filmed it. I also filmed everyone singing a few times until my video camera’s battery died. It was fun listening to/watching Caz, Pops, CL and Zetacron sing Mr. Moonlight :D
When we were all leaving, we got a photo with just Pops, Caz and me in our JPHiP shirts. After that we had a big group hug with the 5 of us (Zetacron had already left in the opposite direction to us) and then individual hugs as well. It was all very family-like, just... a lot more comfortable than with my biological family.
Well, I’m really tired now (probably not as much as Cazza) and can’t think of much more to say. My friend Chris really took a shine to Captain Lubey and he called her a ‘lovable lesbian’ when we were on a bus going home XD I told him that he should join JPHiP and that it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t like Asian music and that he’d grow to get used to it over time. I think he said yes, but my head is... somewhere else right now, so I could be wrong.
I’ll try sorting out my videos on Wednesday after my graduation day because they’re on discs, which is a pain.
I’d just like to say that meeting just these few hipstaz tod... yesterday was definitely one of my best experiences ever. All such great people, right there to whittle away the hours stalking with, I couldn’t ask for more, but they all and you all, as a whole, always give more.
So, all in all, I love JPH!P :hipheart:

I didn't go home - I walked back into the city to find a net cafe, and ended up using the on lvl 2 in the Woolworths on Park St. While I was on the net there, over the speaker system I heard Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" which encouraged me to go back and try again.
I walked back, sat near the ocean, on the lower level eatery bit thing ... moved on, then just sat on the higher parts of the opera house for a while ... Then I noticed something rather od ... People around me waving randomly, making me all like "Wtf?" I then noticed the huge LCD screen, panning across the area, and ... thought better of waving like a dick head and just kept my cool - I wonder if it was on tellie? (Is there a broadcast I can check somewhere?) ... I wondered where the hell the camera was, but I spotted it eventually ... mostly it followed runners over the finish line.
Then it hit me! "Hey, if I watch that, and Yossy is there somewhere, then I might ... Was that her?" so I climbed down the stairs to double check, took a snap (of the back of her ~), then directly to my right were the HiPsters. XD
Also, I very quickly noticed Yossy intentionally turning the back of her head to the people filming/photographing her, and thought better of it, put my camera away, and just admired from a far. I mean ... put yourself in her shoes ... She didn't come to Sydney to be pestered by her fans - she came for the love of the race, for the marathon, to support her family, team, and friends.
It was still nice to see her, and I actually felt quite bad for following her so much.
Towards the end, when it was all over, and she came to greet the fans, I kind of wanted to get close and offer her a handshake, but I was too fearful of being rejected, so I stayed put.
As her eyes darted around, taking in all the faces, her eyes caught mine, if not only for even one second of time, it was still nice to know that it happened.
Thinking back ... When I was on the TV ... I kinda wonder if Yossie saw, and just thought how cool looking I was ... Okay, wishful thinking, but still ... I thought I saw a look on her face when she saw me with the HiPsters was like ... "He's with them?" - She was totally checkin' me out before I was w/them :P (Ah, mostly coz I had a camera, and took a shot ... then noticed her behavouir, and, as I said, thought better of it) ... Still noticed her look back once or twice though.
I even took my sunglasses off in case our eyes were to meet, coz ... she's got a thing for blue eyes, right? I mean ... if she's a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, and he has blue eyes ... then it makes sense that she likes blue eyes, right? ... and I have blue eyes, so ... (a very similar shade to Leo's as well).
Also, she was about as tall as I was expecting, however, taller than I'd been lead to believe from other fan reports so ... from now on, I'll just trust my own instincts in regards to peoples heights. I would say her height was ... average for a girl, tall for a Japanese girl.
I just wish my eye contact with her could've been just that LITTLE bit longer ... and that I hadn't've cowered out of asking her for a hand shake.
I swear the songs at Karaoke are all altered to fit into an "everybody's vocal range" key. >.<;
Thinking back (on my life) ... meeting up w/a random group of people and hanging out with them for the rest of the day is very uncharacteristic of me ... I guess this means I've grown as a person, because, strangely, I didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable with a small group of people with which I was entirely unfamilar!

Ooookayyy ... let's clear something up here ... specifically in regards to Caz's Hangry doll.
Yes, she got the doll, but if not for my two previous attempts, manipulating it into just the right position, she may not have got it at all ... it was landed in just the right way for it to be picked up just right by the claw (and very close to the chute).
And on a side note, had I have actually been the one to get it out, I was gonna give it Cazza anyway. So ... yeah.
