Reposting this entry from Acchi Muite Pie!!!
Closed Indefinitely
I have been contacted by a representative at Fuji TV On Demand regarding my access of the site from an overseas location and the distribution of Idoling!!!'s TV show through BitTorrent. They have requested a reply regarding this issue by October 13, and they have stated that they will delete my Fuji TV On Demand account if I have not replied by then.
Unfortunately, I have decided to close Acchi Muite Pie!!! until this issue is resolved. In the mean time, I have created an online petition to request that Fuji TV give overseas Idoling!!! fans a legitimate way to watch episodes of Idoling!!!'s TV show:
Allow Access for Overseas Idoling!!! Fans
http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/overseasidolingfans (http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/overseasidolingfans)
You can sign this petition using your Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace account, or you can create an account with PetitionSpot. Please sign to show your support for Idoling!!! and help us get an official method to continue watching Idoling!!!
I also suggest that Idoling!!! fans send messages to Fuji TV, the Idoling!!! staff, the Idoling!!! members, and maybe even Masuno through as many means as possible. Relevant links will be listed at the end of this post.
Today is a dark day for overseas Idoling!!! fans. More than ever, we need to band together to show Fuji TV that we do exist. Thank you for your continued support.
http://acchimuitepie.blogspot.com/2010/09/closed-indefinitely.html (http://acchimuitepie.blogspot.com/2010/09/closed-indefinitely.html)
This petition is the only hope for us overseas fans at the moment. It doesn't matter if you're an Idoling!!! fan or not, but every signature in this counts! Make a good deed!
-
I signed as soon as it was posted. One thing that gets me is that in ep's 161 and 162 the members are saying about wanting to have fans around the world but we can't watch them if we aren't in Japan.

If you ask FujiTV how to watch the Idoling!!! show outside japan, I think they will say please waiting the DVD release. :(
-
Right, OF!!! just released 161 & 162. It's just really sad that the one who produce them is the one holding them to be famous around the world. They destroyed the girls' dream.
-
Signed as 66th. Not bad for 5 hours.
-
After some trouble, signed :3
-
Japan... :bleed eyes:
Signed :thumbsup
-
I signed it immediately. I need my weekly Idoling!!!

yeah,we just have to buy the DVD's,they could say. But without subtitles, and in DVD resolution, while they've been broadcasting it in HD since more than half a year. Unless they will release those on Bluray (not seeing that happen though). And still, there's a HUGE lag between the broadcasting and the DVD release... 4th gen isn't even on the latest season dvds. Now we have to wait for other (slower) sources,or watch Idoling Nikki in crappy quality on KeyHoleTV.

It's sad indeed, that the ones producing them, are holding their dreams back. We should refer to their dream in these episodes when asking the question to Fuji TV.
It's not just for us from outside of Japan that want to see and support them properly, but it's the dream of the Idoling members themselves as well.
As we've read in hand shaking event stories, that some of the girls are very excited to see foreigners coming to their shows.
I would love to pay for FujiTV On Demand if it would be properly supported/allowed from outside of Japan.
Since it's a paid service, there shouldn't be any concerns about advertising (unless there are ads on FujiTV On Demand?). Because Japanese advertisers don't want to pay for viewers from outside of Japan as the chance is nearly zero that they will buy their product. But a PAID On Demand channel without ads, what's the problem?
And all the Idoling CDs and DVDs are all easily purchasable from online retailers like CDJapan, YesAsia or whatever site.
Same goes for the fan-sama fanclub (or any other japanese fan club),you need an address in Japan. You either have to know a friend in Japan or use a third party forwarding service (which is likely more expensive). I love the Idoling show and I'm willing and able to use that last option and I joined the fan-sama fan club, even though my knowledge of Japanese is still very little. AND the uRa Idoling videos are NOT country-(b)locked. I was surprised though that my fan club number is only in the 3300's,seems like a low number. Well, this number could go up by at least half of the people signing this petition.
-
Signed it, being number 79.
-
signed it.
Thanks again to SB for introducing us and supporting Idoling!!!
-
This could be the first ever idol crisis that the internet ever face no? And its no laughing matter either.
I'm sure that many of the people here that has been supporting Idoling!!! from afar will never be a fan if not for SB.
-
Maybe some of you japanese speakers can post a message to Kadosawa's, Masuno's and Mori's Twitter, Imatsubu or whatever page? If that helps anything?
-
Signed a few hours ago. Gotta keep these videos coming!
-
Even though it's for Idoling!!! shows now, if this succeeds, it could just as easily happen to other shows that we know and love.
+1 Signed.
-
Sad sad day... :bleed eyes:
Signed the petition.
-
Signed earlier. Fuji TV, don't be a jerk.

Signed! Here's hoping this works!
-
I support this cause. Mad Props to Ayabie and Silverbolt for taking charge and getting this message across. Y'all did lots of hard work and there wouldn't be an overseas Idoling!!! Fanbase without these videos.
Don't forget if u have facebook or twitter, u can spread the word to your friends and followers to get the message out once you sign the form! It just takes a few seconds!
-
Signed it, #183.
I have no clue what Idoling!!! is, but it's the principle of the matter that's important to me.
-
I signed the petition #201
And if anyone wants to send a message to FujiTV in English, simply click on the following link and let'em have it.
https://wwws.fujitv.co.jp/safe/en/fip_archive_form_new.html (https://wwws.fujitv.co.jp/safe/en/fip_archive_form_new.html)
Also, I've made a YouTube video to support the cause so simply add as much view count as you can to help promote the video. I plan on sending a few Tweets to the Idoling!!! producer and MC when the video gets a significant # of views.

The petitions has already got 231 signatures and it hasn't even been a day yet since it was put up. Hopefully this will show FujiTV just how popular it is outside Japan.

Signed the petition. I have not been around for a while and had to come back to find this? Sad, sad day but hopefully some resolution can come out of this...
It somehow seems so depressingly apprepriate that the last Idoling!!! subbed episodes that came out before the news hitwere the 161 and 162 ones, with them saying how they want Idoling!!! to be know around the world and all:(
Over a third of the way at 37% now. Hopefully we will be able to reach the target in under two weeks!
-
Signed.
Sad my first post has to be on such a sad topic. If it was not for silverbolt's site i would never of heard of idolling!.
Unfortunately Fujitv has shown itself to be very closed minded when it comes to the rest of the world (if your not aware of the removal of subtitles from Fuji's worldwide programs back in '98 read up on it, i think their statement showed the thoughts they have about non japanese viewers). So although i truly hope this petition/campaign has some effect the chances are slim, though i support it wholeheartedly so the best of luck guys.
On a related note are the on demand episodes available on share/winny etc? could that be a possible source in future if we arent allowed access through fuji's site?
-
i just signed it too :peace:
-
I signed. :3
-
I'm in, hell I think if you don't let the people outside of Japan to know them, you are srsly leaving them disadvantaged :thumbup
-
Signed! Maybe someone who understands japanese, can help people to create those "On Demand" accounts and find the best proxies/VPN services? Also, if someone is willing to start uploading those episodes, this time do it more stealthily. No torrents, no blogspots, just your webhoster account.
-
Yeah, just like StormWarning, said, I would like to know how to use the VPN so that I can purchase the On-Demand content myself.
I tried a proxy server, and I could see the On-Demand page but when I tried to register or click on the buy button it would just redirect to a blank page.
What I'm concerned about more is how to pay for it since I don't have a Japan-issued credit card.
-
^ WOW. They really efforting to block by all means :bleed eyes:

We'd happily share in the Idoling!!! Multimedia section on our servers: http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?board=123.0 (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?board=123.0)
Right now, it's hidden to ___ posts but for y'all diehard fans, we'd waive that and make it for registered members only or something. Whaddya think Ayabie? Masa? ebc? shirenu? tenkei? tama? :pimp:
Still tweeting the message @JPHiP LETS KEEP GOING!!
-
+1
This reminds me of the AKBingo scare from around April 2009 where they were trying to stop episodes from being shared. It's hell and unfair to the foreign fans!
-
It seems that Silverbolt really has given up (for the time being). He even denied the comments at his blogspot. Guess he got butthurt by some of the comments, telling people that he does not owe anything to any of us. It's HIS money and HIS time. Not even a little thanks to people like hatix and hellguard.
I asked him (among some others) to share his information about where and how to get all that Idoling stuff, but "No Comments". Many of the videos he uploaded are not even owned by Fuji TV. There are probably a bunch of people who would like to volunteer and continue to do what he was doing. Many of us would like to at least keep watching those "On Demand" episodes. But it's a little hard if you don't know what to do.
-
I have the new On Demand episodes on my PC, but I don't know whether to upload it and share the link publicly or not. Plus the file size is a bit bigger because I'm not used to encoding video files.
-
To Hellguard, daigong said alittle up the page that jphip would host them on their servers if you wanna share the files that way, then any problems cant come back to you. I've signed up and bought a couple from the on demand site but they will only stream at a terrible rate through the proxy site i tried. Is there meant to be a download button or does it only stream and you've got to rip the stream yourself?

Like daigong mentioned above, you could upload the content to the JPH!P servers and keep it in a hidden section here. It's all up to you, though.

yeah, it's streaming site. there is no download button. you need to rip it.
maybe you can find some clues here http://kamome.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/download/1284245839/ (http://kamome.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/download/1284245839/)

Uh please Hellguard, I would be forever grateful if you could upload the new episodes, I'm in a serious No-Idoling!!! withdrawal right now...

I have no clue how to do this
My rip is not perfect(it is jittery in a few part) but it is watchable at least. If someone can teach me how to upload it, I'll try to do so later.
-
I wonder how silverbolt got his files. Many of the newer ones were in High Def and less than 500 MB in size. This is getting a little annoying!
-
Signed, not sure it will do any good but Idoling!!! has become my favorite idol group and it sucks to see AMP go.
On a related note are the on demand episodes available on share/winny etc? could that be a possible source in future if we arent allowed access through fuji's site?
They haven't been uploaded consistently to share for a while now, and I'm pretty sure the episodes that did get uploaded were silverbolts. Share is only really a good source for stuff that is tangentially related to Idoling!!!, like Yangan TV, Girls News, etc. The radio show still gets uploaded regularly though, I can up those somewhere if anyone is interested.
-
microblack, everything you can find is welcome. Even though most people only watch those on demand episodes.
I found this Stream Downloader. I don't know if it's any good to grab on demand stuff, but you can test it out.

if you were to read at the 2ch link that Ryo posted, they seem to talk about streamtransport.

WHY CANT WE GIVE LOVE GIVE LOVE GIVE LOVE!!
-
Silverbolt just uploaded the new episodes in the multimedia section :)
-
Those are just the episodes I had already downloaded before closing my FOD account... 9/29 is the last one I have, so we still need someone else to pick up the episodes starting with 10/1.
-
Hey Silverbolt, what stream ripper do you use...etc...? Can you help us out a little bit?
-
I have already contacted hellguard89 and burglarnoone via PM with that information.
-

So you have to close your account? Is there no way around that. Sorry to hear that :(
-
There are ways around that, but no matter what, I have to give them my credit card number, which can easily be used to track me down.
-
You can use webmoney to pay the monthly fee. I use them because I don't own a credit card
-
Yeah, but then who's gonna stop Webmoney or the store that sold you Webmoney from giving them your information? Plus, there's other ways to track people down, like by IP address.
-
- signed and shared on my facebook ^^
sad this happened.. hope more will sign up!
-
Signed the petition @ 471 something, hope we get 500 more signatures
-
Just signed now too!
-
I (Teody Abilay) signed 3 days ago (verified) I support this petition. #439 :thumbup
-
Going kinda slow, and not much help from the AKB and H!P crowd. Kinda shows how underrated/unknown this group really is outside of Japan.
-
Sign 481! :thumbup
-
Signed it like a week ago, how do u know what # petition u are? just by petition count? :jphip:
-
^you seem to be #230 :)
If you scroll down a bit you see "Signatures: 100 / 200 / etc." if you click them you see the entries and their #.
-
456 first week; 48 second week; 38 and counting third week (542 total so far). Pretty sharp drop from the first week as expected. If we manage to get about 30 sigs per week on average, we should reach the goal of 1,000 in about 15 weeks... Hopefully we will get there much sooner!
-
So I was #442 with my facebook account name ^^;; altho the name is different from this forum account ... haha
-
I've just gone onto the Acchi Muite Pie!!! site and it seems to be up and running again.
-
signing :)

It's closed now. Where to get IDOLING!!! TV?
