I briefly mentioned it here (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=8559.msg809560#msg809560), but I guess it's thread worthy XD
I'm thinking about whether this actually is an achievement... I guess it is, because they manage to make it work. I can't even begin to imagine all the logistics and administration etc that must be involved with everything they do.

Awesome- I'll have to check it out in a bookstore sometime to see if the UK edition mentions it or has a picture~ ; u ;

My friend from Slovakia just gave me a notice that AKB48 were mentioned on one of their TV news. After I found the online streaming I can say why I no longer trust such tabloid TV stations...
They said that "...the group from Singapore broke record for the the group with the most amount of members." and that "they call themselves AKB40" ..... :banghead: not even the name was right... At least short part of the Beginner PV was played at the background XD

how many members do they have now? AKB48 + SKE48 + NMB48 + SDN48 + Research = ??
lost track at 104 (akb104 sokaku matsuri)

^Welcome to the AKBar48 @ Jphip! :welcome
Active members by my count:
AKB48: 48
AKB48 RS: 25
SKE48: 32
SKE48 RS: 30
SDN48: 36
NMB48: 25
Total: 196 active members
I'm probably off by a couple... some kenkyuusei may have left already, it's hard to keep track of them.
edit: SKE's new complete book states 58 SKE48 members... so that would the total: 192

Bump
I'm currently at a library and looked for them in the book, but couldn't find them.
I tried looking for a picture, and not one of those text records. So if its the latter, then I can see why I missed it.
