Welcome to the Ultimate Morning Musume single poll! :peace:
This poll was last held here in 2006, which means it's not one of those annoying polls that shirenu runs every year.
All Morning Musume singles (except Sakuragumi/Otomegumi) are included and have been randomly split into six teams, A - E. Each team has 7 or 8 songs.
3 songs with most points from each team will make it to round 2.
Because I would actually like you to watch the videos and listen to the songs before you vote, the threads are initially locked. They will be unlocked one by one every few days. Once all threads are unlocked, there are still 5 or so days left to vote; round 1 ends Monday December 13.
How to vote: List the 3 songs that you want to make it to the next round. That's all :lol:
Usually the polls are just everyone giving their votes, but if you want to explain why you voted each song, or what kind of thoughts came up while you were watching the videos, any babble is ok :3
I realize that a poll like this could be simply done with, you know, a poll machine. But I want people to actually reply. Mwahaha.
Round 2 will be open for 1 week, so until Monday Dec 20th. There will be teams A - C then, 3 songs from each will make round 3 again.
In round 3 the voting will possibly be different; I haven't decided yet. Suggestions are welcome. Either way the voting will end Dec 30 or so.
Any unbanned forum member is free to vote so go for it folks!

Shouganai has become a surprise favourite for me recently >_> I wasn't a fan when it was first released, but now the lyrics kind of hit home. The girls also look beautiful in the video. :wub:
I thought I would vote Resonant Blue for sure, but since the main PV isn't as good as the ~another version~ I decided against it lol. I do think that Resonant Blue has one of the best choreographies ever :O
When Chokkan 2 was released, I thought it was cheap to put live clips in the PV. But it actually makes sense because Momusu is fucking awesome live. And I forgot how many funny bits that video has. Risa and Koharu duo in particular XD

1. Shouganai Yume Ooibito - God, I love this song! :heart: It also reminds me of AX so I get happy whenever I hear it.
2. Kanashimi Twilight - Badass song + hot video = :heart:
3. Resonant Blue - The choreography is so great, plus I like the outfits.

Shouganai Yume Oibito was... I think... the first MM release I witnessed and got into after becoming a fan (like before then it was just happening to find them on youtube everyday as I watched mv's- but after Nai Chau Kamo came out- around then, I found H!O and started seeing updates from there~ ; u ; ) Not to mention I actually really loved 3 2 1 Breakin' Out- even though it seems alot of people got bored of it fast! XD;
Resonant Blue as it was one of the first PVs of the current line up at the time (I'd only seen Yossie's leadership and earlier before this PV) and it shocked me a bit that so many people were gone! Awesome song, great dance... and.... well... I like the Tsunku cover too! D:
Chokkan 2-- great range of clips and a fast moving pv ; u ; and Yossie looks cool! :heart:

1)Shouganai Yume Oibito- I overlooked (more like overheard) this song when it first came out. This past summer, I listened to it again, and I fell in love with the song, and the music video. I liked Eri in the video during her "youfuku ni airon" line and Risa"s "kanau toki kuru." I like to call that "music video acting", and I loved it! XD
2)Kanashimi Twilight - The rock thing in Jpop ain't my style, but this one really caught my ears.
3) Resonant Blue- Nice song, and I liked the "other version" video, or whichever one had the girls doing their own things. I liked the longing looks they gave the camera towards the end of the video.

1. FURUSATO. Underrated and under appreciated. A tear-jerker of a ballad that we'll never hear from again.
2. KANASHIMI TWILIGHT. Great rockin' song, worthy of the Yossi send-off!
3. MEMORY SEISHUN NO HIKARI. Not one of my faves but I had to list a third and this one rates above the remaining tunes.

Tough in this round, because many of these songs are tightly packed within my favorites
1. Furusato- I feel that it is the best because it presents a message throughout the song and I like the melody goes.
2. Resonant Blue- The first video I had seen after my first introduction into MM
3. Kanishimi Twilight- Probably the best of the rest of the videos left and I think it was the end of the Yoshizawa era as leader and the dynamic change that has been molded into the present

Well this is hard (except for Onna meddatte naze ikeani LOL)
1.- Shouganai Yume Oibito - Lyrics are awesome. the melody is awesome and the outfits were ok also love the concept
2.- Furusato - Beautiful lyrics, It will never get old. It's a classic.
3.- Memory seishun no hikari - One of the first MM songs i love and made me love old MM

Aaah, this was difficult. A bunch of singles here from the time when I stopped paying attention 8D Also shocked to find that I'd never seen the Memory seishun no hikari PV before @_@; Watching the PVs one at a time, going from top to bottom, it really hits you at Chokkan2.. "How on earth did they evolve from THAT..... to THIS? X_X" .... Aaaah MoMusu crack :heart: I wonder what I would have done without it.
Lol, I've also never noticed that Yossi's elbows poke through her shirt in the Kanashimi Twilight PV :lol:
I have to say, honourable mention to Chokkan2 and Shouganai yume oibito. Chokkan for nostalgic reasons (came out right in the middle of my MoMusu discovery/obsession phase XD ), and Shouganai is a great song (with a really good PV), but I went with Resonant Blue instead, because I felt Resonant Blue had a more unique sound~

Furusato - The first Momusu/H!P song I wasn't afraid to admit liking. :P Sad emotional song with a very nice traditional Japanese vibe.
Kanashimi Twilight - Yossy's last song, in which she looks and sounds amazing...as do Miki and Aichan. The angry rock sound also works for me.
Memory Seishun no Hikari - Smooth urban pop sound with guest verses from an American rapper! Has anyone figured out the lyrics to the raps yet? :lol:
Resonant Blue and OgMNI were close calls for me...Shouganai holds my interest mainly because of the b-side.

Chokkan2 ~Nogashita sakana wa ookiizo!~: Come on, this song is just plain awesome. Even the live bits of the video helps to show that energy feeling that this song has. Never fails to make me wanna dance, or jump, or just MOVE. So much energy :heart: And Yossie-Makoto-Reina trio is so badass <3
Resonant Blue: I like the Another Version PV more but it's still cool XD This is one of my top favourites songs. And I looove the dance movements here. It's a shame Kame doesn't have more time on camera. With that dance, that hair and that outfit is just WHOA. All the outfits here are awesome in fact Yes, I love black lol.
Shouganai Yume Oibito: And this is one of my favourites PV's. I loved the song to start with, but, in top of that, the lyrics were like 'Ouch, bullseye', the first time I found the translation. In top of that, all the girls are uber pretty here :wub:
I was torn between Shouganai Yume Oibito and Kanashimi Twilight. Kanashimi is sexyness everywhere, miniskirts, neckties, Miki, and Yossie, god, Yossie :heart: But in the end I chose SYO, because the lyrics bring me memories x_x And btw, I hate to have left with no votes Furusato and Memory Sheisun :tama-mad: Both are great songs and I love them.

Kanashimi Twighlight- Miki in Leather, Ai High Kicking at the beginning, Sayu with bare midriff- I could stop there, but this is a great song, and the dancing is off the hook. Great rock guitar sound. Aika looking a wee bit young during the sexy scenes, but she was real cute in the shots where they have dresses on.
Furusato- Call me a sap, but I love the sentimentality of this song- the girls with their (stand-in) mothers, the little country train stations, and then the pictures of the girls when they were babies- plus a great mushy song.
Resonant Blue- Reina was damned impressive in this song, the dancing was some of the best performed and best choreagraphed of all HP videos, and Koharu looked, danced and sang really well. Plus thumping good base and drums.
Honourable mention to the funky delicious- Chokkan2 ~Nogashita sakana wa ookiizo!~

1. Resonant Blue - possibly my favorite MM song/single ever. I'd be sad if it didn't advance on. :lol:
2. Kanashimi Twilight - c/w supports this too, but it was a song I enjoyed singing karaoke while in Japan, and it was one that made me actually like Yossi a little bit...
3. Memory Seishun no Hikari - One of the oldie classics, but I still enjoy it quite a bit. c/w isn't bad either. Plus, Reina version = :heart:

Chokkan2 - It's good generally. The intro makes me think a boss battle is about to begin.
Kanashimi Twilight - Because it has some guitar and all the girls look a bit more mature.
Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai - Fast-paced
Btw I was really disappointed that Sakuragumi wasn't included in these polls. I would have voted Sakura Mankai all the way to the end.
