なっちらOG10人で「ドリーム モーニング娘。」結成！ 4月に新曲＆ツアー

中澤裕子（37）、飯田圭織（29）、安倍なつみ（29）らアイドルグループ・モーニング娘。卒業メンバー10名が、新グループ「ドリーム モーニング娘。」を結成した。ちょうど12年前のメジャーデビュー記念日である28日、東京・中野サンプラザで行ったファンクラブイベントで初お披露目され、安倍が「夢のようだよね。本格的に始動するって聞いたとき、本当に嬉しかった」と驚きと喜びを語ると、会場から大声援で迎えられた。今後、新曲をはじめ全国ツアーを行い、本格的にモー娘。OGが再始動する。 メンバーは初代リーダー・中澤、2代目リーダー・飯田、安倍の3人のほか、保田圭（30）、3代目リーダー・矢口真里（28）、石川梨華（26）、4代目リーダー・吉澤ひとみ（25）、小川麻琴（23）、5代目リーダー・藤本美貴（25）、久住小春（18）ら歴代リーダー、人気メンバーが勢ぞろい。当初、辻希美 （23）も加入予定だったが、昨年12月に第2子を出産したことからしばらく芸能活動を休止し、育児休暇に入る。
イベントではヒット曲「LOVEマシーン」をこのメンバーで初歌唱。各々自身の年齢を申告しつつのあいさつで会場を沸かし、藤本は「最近洗濯ばっかりしてるから、歌うのも踊るのも久しぶり。無事、この場に戻ってこれました」と笑わせた。最年少の久住は「最初ちょっと怖かったです。今もちょっと怖い」と素直に明かした。モー娘。現役当時から“お色気担当”として人気の石川は、自らのお腹を手で隠しつつ「露出もしなきゃな～って思ったけど、写真集を出したときに絞ってから、今ちょっと気を抜いてる時期。もうちょっとしたら頑張ります」と苦笑い。今後はそれぞれのソロ活動での経験を生かし、リーダーを立てずに活動するという。
活動プランは、4月20日にモー娘。の楽曲リテイクに新曲2曲を収録したアルバム『ドリムス。（1）（ドリムスワン）』を発売し、4月23日より『ドリーム モーニング娘。 コンサートツアー2011 春の舞 ～卒業生 DE 再結成～』で全国7ヶ所（16公演）をまわる。さらに秋には20ヶ所（40公演）をまわる大規模ツアーも決定している。モー娘。は5人のオリジナルメンバーで1998年1月28日にシングル「モーニングコーヒー」でメジャーデビュー。今月2日に9期メンバー4名が加入し、9人で活動している現役モー娘。メンバーの平均年齢17.5歳、対するドリムス。は平均年齢27歳。初々しいデビューから丸13年、すっかりお姉さんとなったOGたちは大人の魅力で勝負に出る。

Known as OG Morning Musume, now Dream Morning Musume, the members will all be going on tour together in April titled "Dream Morning Musume。Concert Tour 2011 Haru no Mai 〜Sotsugyousei DE Saikessei〜". Debut album "Dreams. (1)" will go on sale April 20th, and will include re-recorded Momusu songs and two new songs.

I'd bet one of the "new" songs on the album is "Afternoon Coffee," possibly re-recorded to include Rika, Yossie & Koharu.

And yes, they better hold a place for Nono. I understand Aibon is persona non grata but a show like this can't be 100 percent fun without Tsuji.

"Mikan" and "Ame no Furanai" are kinda hard to imagine for me, but I guess that just adds to the intrigue. XD The fact that they're even producing a new album kinda caught me off guard.
The presence of Koharu does seem awkward, but I think sticking her in there kinda makes sense in that she's representative of the later half of the group's long history...and damn, she's looking mighty fine with what seems to be some minor weight gain.
Seeing as how I originally became a fan of Momusu through their older members (despite my relative new-ness), I'm obviously excited and looking forward to how this new reunion will play out, but at the same time I do have a little concern with overshadowing the current group (like with certain TV appearances in the past). But I suppose this can be seen as helping build buzz around UFA's general talent pool, reminding the Japanese public of H!P's continued existence. I wonder if they'll bring in some surprise guests during the tour in the form of other former members...I know Aya Ishiguro seems to reappear with her old team every now and then, so this could be a good time to pay another visit.
And yes, it would be all kinds of awesome if this "new" group shows up a guest for that new AM2 convention in Anaheim this July...I'd definitely be there if that were the case.

Ever since the OG collab with the current line up for that RR21 + Nanchatte Renai medley, I've always wanted to hear how the OGs would take that song on. Ah well.

Morning Musume OG members announce "dream" team, album, 2 tours
Fri, January 28, 2011 (10:48am EST)
Ten of Morning Musume's OG members held an event on Friday to reveal that they have launched a new group called Dream Morning Musume. The participating members are Yuko Nakazawa (37), Kaori Iida (29), Natsumi Abe (29), Kei Yasuda (30), Mari Yaguchi (28), Rika Ishikawa (26), Hitomi Yoshizawa (25), Makoto Ogawa (23), Miki Fujimoto (25), and Koharu Kusumi (18). Originally, Nozomi Tsuji (23) was also planned to be a part of the group, but she just gave birth to her second child in December so she will be focusing on raising her children for now.
The new unit will hold a spring concert tour, titled "Dream Morning Musume Concert Tour 2011: Haru no Mai ~Sotsugyousei DE Saikessei~." The tour will start on April 23 in Aichi and continue for a total of 16 concerts in 7 locations, including Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, Kanagawa, and Hiroshima. They have a second, longer tour planned for the fall, with a similar "Aki no Mai" title. That one will take them to 20 venues for a total of 40 concerts.
Dream Morning Musume will release their first album on April 20, titled "DoriMusu 1." The album's track list will mainly consist of remakes of Morning Musume songs, but 2 new songs are also planned.

How awesome is it to see Yaguchi performing as a Morning Musume again? Really a dream come true.
I have some love for the girl, so I hope the real world has managed to prepare Koha for the reality of being in a group with the scariest senpais she's never had the pleasure of experiencing. She may run off crying into the night. :lol:

maybe because konkon refused to join... well i have nothing against Koharu but she graduated from MM like not much more that a year ago right? and now she joins another momusu thing??? not that she wanted to be a model?? :\ WTF i know world is full of lies but it makes me feel that the graduation thing was a waste of talent for momusu in order to win more money? notoriety?... you name it

Konkon is starting her new job around the time that tour starts!
I think they just grabbed all the ex-Musumes they could and stuck em in the group.
I remember some early announcement said that Tsuji was going to be in this group too.
Aside from her and Konkon, there's really no one else they could have put in.

I personally don't mind having Koharu in. Sure, she seems kinda out-of-place, but I think she'll add some spice to the group. Whenenver the Momusu OGs appear on shows, it's usually some combination of the other 9, so having Koharu in will make things more interesting, I think. :P (Plus she was in MM Tanjo 10nen Kinentai and I think she fit well in that, so I think she'll do fine here, too)
If Tsuji was in, I'd be even happier, but I'm still excited! :w00t: (Junjun and Linlin, too. ._. I wouldn't expect Eri to appear because she wants to deal with her skin condition, but I'd love to see Junjun and Linlin. Oh well. =/)
And while I love all of the girls, I'm mostly excited for Yossie. WOOOOO! (Rika, Yuko, and Miki, too, but mostly Yossie. xD) :yossi:

I don't know. I'm of the apparently unpopular opinion of not minding Koha being in the group. I know she -just- graduated, but I think she's a good fit. She was such a pivotal part of Morning Musume in general and Tsunku said she was his "ace," so it makes a lot of sense.

He did say that at the beginning but after 4 years he 'had to let her go' and said things along the lines of 'some more training might be required'.
Koha's selection process was so ... :doh: it marked the downturn of MM for me, her being in this is not possitive. I hope the rest overshadows (or Yuko/Kei can control her), w'll see.

Strictly speaking, I don't think the members of this group were determined by any one person's choice.
By that, I mean that if they COULD have put in Konkon, Tsuji, and Kago, I think they would have.
It's just that Konkon has a new job, Tsuji pulled herself out, and Kago just isn't with the company anymore.
Heck, I think if Kame weren't out for health reasons, she'd be in this unit too!
As for comments about how Koharu seems out of place, I don't think that's the case at all.
If you want to go strictly by age differences, sure she's the youngest by 5 years, but Yuko is the oldest by 7!
To tell you the truth, if it weren't for the youngest member being half the oldest member's age, it just wouldn't feel quite like Morning Musume to me.
Also, the thing about "who's your favorite" polls like the one on Tokyohive is that they don't factor in 2nd-favorite choices.
Hypothetically, what if Kaori was #2 on half the peoples' lists of favorite members?
That would make her one of the more popular members, but it wouldn't show in these results.
Therefore, I don't think that poll reflects overal popularity, but only who has the most #1 choices.
I like Kaori a lot, but she's maybe #3 or so for me in this group.
She's still one of my favorite members and I don't think anyone would be happy if she weren't included.

If Kamei wasn't out for health reasons I have a feeling she'd still be in regular/current Morning Musume.
Anyone else notice how the votes correspond with how they're all lined up in that group pic? Top votegetters in front, bottomdwellers sent to the back. And yeah, having second-choice picks or ranking each member would've produced more believeable results (though probably would take longer to calculate).

They stick the more popular ones/ones they want to highlight in front, where they aren't obscured by other members and you can see more of them.
And yeah, Kamei would probably be in current Morning Musume if her skin was completely healthy.

I like the new "Morning Coffee", but at the same time I kinda don't. :P I like how the new sound is more lively, but the new beat seems to conflict with the overall relaxing tone of the vocals and mood, like it's a bit too aggressive for the song. But at least that got a new arrangement; I'm a bit disappointed that the rest seem to be just re-recordings over the original instrumentals (though not so much with JKM since that song pretty much needs the original music). I guess simply giving the older members a go at these songs is the whole point, as they do give off a different vibe anyway.
The new/original songs sound pretty good, though nothing mindblowing. I think I prefer "Koibito no You na Kao wo Shite" with its midtempo beat and guitar solo; "Atto Odoroku Mirai ga Yattekuru!" reminds me a lot of "Seishun Collection". XD
I'd love for Ai No Tane to be held up, but it might be too racy in this fucking PC world we live in.
Making up complaints there? Tons of music acts have gotten away with much worse in the past 13 years since then; that cover is nothing. Its exclusion most likely has more to do with how it's not part of the official single release canon than any "fucking PC" concerns.

I was planning on getting this, but then I found out that the second disc is just a bunch of original recordings, basically a greatest hits cd. For the price (which is around $45 on yesasia) it isn't really worth it, there's no point in spending extra money on songs that I already own X_X
What were they thinking???

Regarding the complaints about the second CD of Dorimusu 1, I just can't get that angry. Most single CDs from Japan are around 3,000 yen to begin with, and a 2-CD set at 3,500 isn't a ripoff by any means. I just choose to look at it like I spent an extra $5 on a bonus hits disc (granted, full of songs I already own two or three times over in some cases).
That being said, I too would have preferred it if the second CD was also re-recordings. I'm sure it wouldn't have cost UFA that much to throw the girls in a karaoke booth and record a few extra songs.

^ Says she has inflammation in her right palate caused by some kind of cyst.
Some quick research says these kind of cysts frequently occur when a tooth gets infected.
This usually doesn't cause any symptoms other than possibly painful inflammation, which is probably what made her go to the hospital.
Anyway, announcement says she won't be able to perform for the Hiroshima concert.
No refunds.

I got into the Idol game with Morning Musume. They were my first (they were gentle), but we’ve grown apart. The Momusu of today isn’t really the Momusu I knew and fell in love with. But recently, we shared some old times together. We’re gonna take the jump together, and rekindle a lost love.
Earlier this year most of the graduated members of Morning Musume (sans the turtle and pandas, since they were seemingly asked to leave show business altogether) who still care to be celebrities were pushed together into a shiny new package and dubbed Dream Morning Musume. If you have a favorite who graduated, she’s probably there, (unless she signed with AVEX or is a chain smoker who can’t keep it in her pants around the old folks’ home…I still love you, Aibon). They mostly got together to promote random crap, do some lives, appear on TV and talk about the good ol’ days. But, they also hit the recording booth and did an album.
DREAMS 1 is mostly a cover album; Morning Musume covering…Morning Musume. Well, they cover songs that most of them didn’t appear on, which is a cool idea in my book. For years I talked about the newer Momusu girls covering older Momusu songs and putting out an album, I like that kind of shit. I’m not really going to talk about individual tracks that much, because they’re the same—just with new (old) voices. But, really that’s where the awesome comes in. These VOICES. Oh sweet fancy Moses how I’ve missed these voices. It makes me realize how…less than talented Morning Musume really is now. All of these old gals can freaking sing, man. For me, the most nostalgia inducing track is the girls’ new rendition of Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari (here dubbed the 2011 DREAMS Ver.). I always loved JKMs just for the cheese factor and getting to here all the girls actually get solo lines. This song though, jeez, it makes you long for the old days. Even the ones that aren’t that vocally strong (Oh, hi Rika and Yossi) make you wistful on this track. Then of course that so-called miracle decides to crap on the track and make you Yao Ming.
