In response to the series of incidents in which classified information has been inadvertently uploaded to the Internet from personal computers running Winny file-sharing software, the government is to prohibit officials from using their own computers for work. I see nothing weird in this. Why to spend a huge amount of money to protect ministry's computers when workers take their work to their home pc's which security is poor.

This totally makes sense. I'm just somewhat surprised they didn't have a similar policy in effect already.

Eventually at the place of my employment, users will no longer have admin rights on their work pcs.
