I'm really excited! :D I they're probably trying to push out as many singles as they can before Acchan leaves- there'll most likely be the 12th Album also before she goes, which means they need afew more singles in time~ Oh- and ofcourse it gives them things to go on about the pressure 9th gen are under while they're still new~

I think that seals it. Sayashi is the 3rd front girl now.
All the signs pointed that way, but this line distribution proves it beyond a doubt.
The other 9th gen members probably don't have much of a chance for solo lines from now until this fall.

I know Sayashi is very talented, but it feels sad to see Risa pushed to the back yet again even when she's soon to be the new leader...

^I feel sorry for Risa too, but the truth is, Ai is actually an aberration when it comes to being centre and leader at the same time. Previous leaders generally do not take the central role (Nakazawa, Iida, Yossi -- I'm leaving out the others -- all of them tended to be back in the background). With Ai, she was already in the midst of things when she took on the role of leader, so yeah.
Though I must say, Risa deserves to take a more central role. Lord knows she has worked hard enough, and she is very solid performance-wise. Regardless of how I might personally feel about her (she's not my favorite, and is unlikely to ever be), I think she really does deserve more than what she gets.
But it doesn't surprise me that Riho gets pushed to the front. In a way, it makes sense -- they need to establish one of the younger ones as a semi-permanent fixture where it counts, since graduation might still come to any one of the senpai members in the discernable future. What interests me will be who takes over Ai's place once she leaves; if Risa gets passed over that as well, that's when everyone, fan of her or not, should get pissed. XD I have this feeling Sayu is next in line for center...noooooooo!!!

^Fukuchan seems to be relegated to support role (better than Kanon and Eripon, who look likely to be stuck as backdancers unless Tsunku decides to be nice). You're right, the timing of 10th gen does seem dodgy, and with the precedent of Fukuchan being elevated from Egg status, there's a distinct possibility that we might get another surprise promotion from those ranks. XD Which could lead to a rounding up of the triumvirate with a 10th gen addition. Hm...

This B-side reminds me of Muten Musume.
The arrangement, instrumentation, heck even some of the lyrics are giving me that same kind of vibe.
I like how you can hear ALL the kyuukies in this one.
Sounds like it would make a crazy concert song.

PV is very cool! Simple, but cool. Focuses on their beauty and fierceness. keke
I really like the song too. The pacing takes some getting used to, but once you know where the changes come it's like oh yeah let's do this
Even if the song lines weren't very evenly split, I think the camera time was ok on the PV :3 And actually Sayumi stood out to me most, even if she didn't have many lines :O
Sayashi dances well but there are times when her shoulder area looks very stiff in the video? That may have something to do with the posture of youth though

I like the pv though the floating diamonds that had been editted in seemed a little tacky at times but that's just how I feel about it! :lol:
It makes me a little sad that Riho's been given more lines than most of the older girls- but atleast Gaki gets to open the chorus which is good as both the chorus and her singing voice are very strong, so it's well suited!
The only thing that really annoys me about the pv? Erina is shown singing a grand total of ONCE twice (lol that's not as bad...) ... >____< possibly fuku-chan too but I feel bad that Erina, Fuku and Zukki (thought seemed she had more screen time?) really got hidden out of the way in this song/video.
As normal I complain that not all members get a solo line (no matter how short), but I should just learn that that's just how it goes! D:

I got a little emotional seeing Ai-chan looking so pretty in the PV.
It's like everything MM fans have wanted in the past 2 years is actually slowly starting to happen, but Ai-chan will grad soon and won't be leading the charge. It might actually be suitable to have this "High King-y" beat in the song to represent her a little. :heart:

Love the PV. Definitely what I've been wanting to see. Ai + Reina + Risa + Sayu = :heart: They all look damn gorgeous!!!
The song itself, I find it to be ok but not fantastic. The chorus is awesome but the verses are meh, don't like it much but it's slowly growing on me. I wish they didn't autotune Risa, she's a perfectly fine singer. :catglare:

Augh, I know! I totally got out of H!P because it just didn't seem interesting anymore and nothing was really going right, but now MM and H!P are freaking rocking this joint.

That's slightly worse than Majisukasuka's 33,698.
I quite liked the PV, so it's sad it didn't do that well. It's their lowest first week sales since Mikan (28,082) :O2

Majidesuka Ska had 4 limited editions + regular edition.
This one had 3 limited editions + regular.
I bought 20% fewer copies of Only You than Majidesuka Ska solely because of that.
If you take into account that there's a large segment of the fans who probably did the exact same thing, that would indicate to me that there might actually be more distinct owners of this single than the last one.
It seems clear to me that raw sales numbers only tell a small part of the story.
Remember Suki Sugite Baka Mitai getting weekly #1 on only about 26,000 copies sold?
Reading the comments on YouTube from so many lapsed fans who absolutely love this song, I don't see the sales figures as a minus.
Plus, since when is a top 5 weekly ranking ever a bad thing?

The cover is awesome. Both the veterans and newcomers look great. And for me Sayumi’s the best.
Too bad the sales are so small. I really liked the PV. If only that million views could turn into a million cd copies…
