8400 yen?!! Better start saving up now... The most I've ever spent on an album is 6000 yen.

I ordered the Limited Edition and the First Press Edition from Amazon, now with 18% off the recommended retail price. CDJapan has limited the first press edition to EMS or FedEx shipping. So due to the 18% off the Amazon option was cheaper, even beating YesAsia with their free shipping. However Amazon's information about the bonus goods is about non existent, while CDJapan does clearly indicate if the external bonus (the poster) is available. In the end I decided to take the risk and go with the cheaper Amazon option.

Edit: Got an email from CDJapan stating that for the deluxe edition, they will send the poster separately via Air Mail if you used Fedex for shipping to avoid having the poster being crushed. That's pretty cool of them to do that. I wonder if they will send my other poster too separately since I got the deluxe and limited edition. lol

Bad Girl and You-aholic already sound amazing. Do I hear some Mondo Grosso influence on the latter? Even Bad Girl sounds like it could have gone on a ravex album.

The Great Escape and I'm In Love with The Hero sound interesting, and I have high hopes.

Beautiful Stranger is yet another triplets song, meh unless they really do weird things with the arrangements.

Lol obligatory ballads.

This Japan tour is gonna be so fucking awesome though. The dance for You-aholic better be epic.

That SM used them for the album preview just shows that they're marketing the album as club-worthy, which fits in with SNSD's image in Japan as elite talent artists like Perfume rather than just idols. Smart!

WTH :/ Not nearly as cool as I thought in that form. Quality seems really bad though. :lol:

V Yea I can't hear the dabbing of the beat on my eardrums in that, plus to be fair it was just getting to the good part (the power down/up into Sunny's part) and I remember the ring tone thing for Mr Taxi seemed the same way with the vocals seeming kind of disconnected but the actual song was balanced fine. Let it rain. <3 Sounds like a karaoke version or something?

^ What the.... They could easily add 20 seconds or more to each of those songs by having a decent interlude. It's not like they have a whole slew of dancers that could use that space as a kickass dance break or something! (I mean, seriously. Hyo has been fucked over since GG with NONE of the songs having any decent dance break, even TMYW, RDR, and Mr. Taxi, which would be the ideal songs for that kind of thing unlike ITNW.)

Their lyricists are fucking lazy if they can't even come up with enough material to fill up a standard Jpop 5 minutes. I mean, most of that space is repeated chorus at the end anyhow. Both H!P and AKB48 songs rarely even have a non-chorus/prechorus bridge melody after the interlude.(and the interludes are usually longer than what SNSD's had, wtf)

Not to mention any SNSD remix shows how you can pad out dance tracks with arrangement. Because, you know, they're dance tracks. Meant to be danced to? Anybody?

Remember that saying sometimes less is more? Tacking on stuff just to meet some formula or time isn't a good idea at all imo. If they wanna do a dance break or something they can always add a remix for lives or something. Genie's dance break was much better when they did that remix thing with Yuri and Hyoyeon and the Rock Tronic break they have been doing is ideal imo. Exact same thing with ITNW.

Also shortest song ever to hit #1 in the US top 40 at 1:37  :lol:

My bonus posters arrived today, by airmail. Imagine that, they arrived earlier than the actual albums shipped by the supposedly faster FedEx. (expect those tomorrow.)
 
CDJapan shipped the posters in a big box. They were tightly but neatly rolled and each put in a separate small diameter tube.

It'll probably take forever to properly de-curl them. XD

Loving this album!  The new tracks are all great, but I'm especially digging Let It Rain and Born To Be A Lady.  I haven't enjoyed an SNSD album so thoroughly since their debut album.  Way to go girls~!

This album is so good! Lot's of good tracks, not too crazy about the mandatory japanized tracks but I guess japanese people like those so it's fine. Actually I like all the albums original tracks, tho my favourite is The Great Escape or Let it Rain. I haven't made up my mind yet  :lol:

I just checked, the deluxe edition pb has different (but similar) pics and it is slightly bigger.

If someone did scan the pb, it will undoubtedly be found and shared here at some point in time.

News from the sales and ranking front. Again first in the daily chart. Sales are up to very good 27,132 copies sold, bringing the total up to 193,357 now. That 200K seems certain now with still one day to go to finish off the first week.

And the last day of the first week of sales for the Oricon chart saw 21,841 copies sold.

Oricon confirms the weekly number 1 position and sales of about 232K.

SNSD is quoted as saying:
