Hi, this is my first time posting here as well as my first fic. :cow: Please leave me comments on what you like and how I can improve. Thanks!

Stage 1

It has to be done. At least that is what Takahashi Minami, aka Takamina, keeps telling herself anyways. She takes a deep breath before turning the doorknob and opening the dressing room’s door. Her eyes flit around the room, searching for the person she is supposed to meet. Aside from a low volume Taylor Swift tune, there is no sign of anyone else inside the room.
“Knock knock …” Takamina lightly raps her knuckle against the wooden door and announces her presence.
“Oh Minami! Give me a minute.” From behind a curtain, at the changing area to the right of the door, a girl raises her voice.
“Okay.”
The door clicks softly behind her and Takamina makes her way toward the mirror at the opposite side of the room. As if by habit, she quickly retouches her make up and checks her hair in the mirror. She looks around the room and rolls her eyes. Strewn across the floor, covering almost all of the gray tiles, are personal affects of her teammates. Book bags, purses, magazines, mangas, jackets, stuffed animals, blankets, clothes, etc.
(I bet some wota will pay oodles for some of these things … wonder if Mariko-sama will miss that panda hat … or Mayuyu’s chapstick …)
She quickly shakes these shady thoughts out of her head and settles into one of the chairs next to the mirror. She picks up one of the older volumes of One Piece and quickly leaves through the book while sparing some glances toward the curtain. She lets out a soft sigh and stares at a page in the manga, reminiscing the awesome day she spent as Luffy. When she is most spaced out, the curtain is pulled back and Maeda Atsuko, aka Acchan, steps out.
“Okay, so tell me how this looks!” Acchan says enthusiastically and poses with her hands on her hips. Then, she starts to make her way toward the mirror.
Takamina looks up and immediately starts to imagine glittery and shimmering lights all around the other girl. (Why is her hair all fluttery? Is there a breeze?) She feels as if her jaw slid all the way to the ground and she has been staring for hours. Unconsciously, she reaches up to gently touch her chin to make sure it is still intact. She taps her chin as if she is considering the view in front of her, Takamina nods while Acchan is swirling and posing in all sorts of cute poses.
“It … You look great …” The normally chatty leader is now struggling for words while her mind is being dominated.
Just a few feet from her is Acchan, her best friend and teammate, dressed in a tastefully revealing white babydoll. Acchan’s innocent, beautiful face rests above her delicate neckband. From the sharply edged shoulders extend her tone arms, accompanied by slender hands and long fingers. Her breasts swell into the white lacy bra portion of the babydoll. The groove between her breasts leads Takamina’s eyes downward, past the semi-visible ribcage, to her flat tummy. The babydoll barely overlaps the matching white lacy panties. With each catlike step, Acchan’s legs cross and her hips sway seductively.
All this is for a gravure magazine interview. Acchan was asked to bring one of her personal lingerie to the photoshoot. They wanted to make it more realistic and personable or something like that. For reasons that escaped her, Takamina was asked for input.
Before Takamina’s gaze could trail down to her friend’s tone legs, she realizes that Acchan’s eyes were on her. (Is she … smirking? Oh … why am I staring? Where’s that breeze gone? It’s hot in here.) Her static mind suddenly kicks into gear and churns out frantic thoughts. She quickly looks away from Acchan after the realization, making it look even more obvious that she was staring.
“Hmm … I think you picked the right outfit, Acchan … good job.” She speaks after clearing her dry throat.
“You think so? I hope so … I hope it’s not too revealing. I don’t want to give people ideas.” Acchan mutters as she appraises herself in front of the mirror. She turns and shakes her bottom a little, making sure that the panties will not ride up too far.
“No. I think it’s perfect. Very cute.” Takamina says between stolen glances before she rises to get away from the sexy vision that is shaking her booty so close to the tiny leader. “But why did you want to ask me for advice anyways? Mariko-sama, Tomochin or Harunyan are much more fashionable than me.”
“Well …” Acchan smiles a little and turns her attention to the blushing Takamina, “I wanted to get a boy’s opinion without having to ask a boy.”
That earns Acchan a hurt look from the shorter girl. “Oh …” Takamina purses her lips, not because she is upset with that age-old tease, but because she is guilty of looking at Acchan that way.
“Just kidding!” Acchan flashes her signature smile and lightly taps the tip of Takamina’s nose, making the banana-lover jump.
“Acchan, you meanie!” Takamina rolls her eyes and shakes her head, but also taking a step back from the tease. (When did she get so close?)
“Don’t worry, Minami.” Acchan steps forward as Takamina step backward, closing in once more. Her arms are now resting on the smaller girl’s shoulders as she leans forward. Her forehead presses against the sensitive leaders, “You’re oozing with cute boyish charm.”
Takamina could feel Acchan’s feathery breath against her lips and for some reason and this sets her heart aflame. Even more than all the times that she’s been kissed and inappropriately touched by the rest of the group, Acchan included. (Maybe, I am … a boy at heart … and what is up with this atmosphere? Light music, dim lights, and girl in lingerie … ugh!) She suddenly leans away and ducks out of Acchan’s reach, “Don’t … don’t you think this room is a mess? Seriously, not even the dressing room of those athletic women over in Team K is this messy! Must I pick up after everyone like a mother hen?” She frantically picks up some hoodies and blankets, then moves to another corner of the room to fold.
“Hahaha …” Acchan giggles as she makes her way back to the changing area, “You should get some rest before tomorrow’s show instead of cleaning other people’s mess.” She adds another tease while her hand hesitates by the curtain. She looks back toward the mother hen. “Thank you for helping me, Minami.”
Takamina looks to the beautiful model and nods, smiling just a little, “It had to be done and I’m the one with the mind of a boy, right?” She hopes that she sounded cool and nonchalant, because she could hear her blood rushing to her cheeks. “I guess I’ll tell the girls to clean tomorrow, I’m gonna go home now. See you tomorrow, Acchan.”
Acchan nods and grins mysterious, “Alright, see you tomorrow … and you’re the only boy for me, Minami.” The curtain is slid close and Takamina is left to wonder the meaning of her friend’s reply.

By the time Acchan finished changing, Takamina has already left the room. The ace of the idol group
grins to herself as she packs away her things. The music is turned off and she quickly texts one of her conspirators.
[Thanks for helping me pick out this outfit, she seems to really liked it. I hope she won’t find out that it’s not really for a photoshoot :P ]
A few moments later, her phone chirps a reply.
[No problem 8) it had to be done. Her chibi mind would take forever to realize that she likes you. Keep me posted.]
Acchan smiles as she closes her phone and makes her way out of the room. She is happy enough to skip down the hallway. (Stage 1 of Operation Atsumina: Cleared!)

Stage 2 Preparation
“Takamino …” She whispers as she leans closer and rests her head on my shoulder. Her breath tickles the side of my neck, causing my body to shiver delightedly.
“Atsuko …” I turn my head to look upon that beautiful face, but instead my gaze falls upon her lips. There is something strangely magnetic about the delicate, glossy appearance of her petal-pink lips. They draw me closer and entice me to have a taste.
As my heart beats faster and faster, I turn my body and dip my head. Our lips touch just lightly, but it is enough to my body to tense from the thrill. I push her back into the sofa and trap her there with my body. My tongue glides across her lowerlip and I smile slightly, “Mmm … strawberry …” The taste of her gloss cannot compare to the taste of … BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

Takahashi Minami's room
She stares into the darkness of her room. Without looking, she reaches over and hits the off button on her alarm before it can induce a migraine. She takes a deep breath and tries to relax, because her body feels as if it has been stiffened all night. (I kissed … Acchan … and I liked it?) She sighs and shakes her head, though she is hardly surprised since the ace was all she thought about for the rest of the day. (I … was a boy. Curse that name, “Takamino.” I sound like some sort of Pokemon … Takamina and Takamino.) At that silly thought, she laughs softly and gathers her will to get out of her comfy bed. Her body aches slightly, but also sticky from the sweat.
The young woman quietly sneaks to the bathroom down the hall so that she would not wake up the rest of her household. She stares at herself in the mirror as she squeezes some toothpaste onto her toothbrush. The face that stares back at her may not be “cute” by the industry’s norms, but definitely not boyish at all.
“I’m just a bit stressed, that’s all. Strange dreams come when your mind’s defenses are down. After this series of shows and photoshoots, I’m going to take a mini-mental health vacation. That’ll fix it all up.” She smiles possitively at her reflection, beaming with confidence. But deep down, there are still much doubts. (Was Acchan toying with me yesterday? Something was strange in the way she looked at me. And why am I still wanting to kiss her?!) There is much for the chibi leader to ponder in the shower.

Team 2 Preparation
The birds swoop low. They were trying to catch all the cicadas buzzing in a nearby shrub.
“Cicadas are such awkward fliers, that’s why they’re bird foods.” Miichan comments as she makes a disgusted face when a bird, carrying a cicada in its mouth, landed near her.
“Will you quit staring at them and focus? We are in it to win it!” Sayaka flicks the shorter girl’s forehead.
“Ouch! Don’t try to manhandle me, woman.” Miichan frowns and covers her forehead.
“Here’s the plan, listen up.” Sayaka ignores Miichan’s complaints and waves for a team huddle. At which point, the other 4 girls gather and form a circle. “We will form a square formation with one squad in front, one in back, and a person in the middle. Sae is front-left and I am front-right, we will be advancing the team through the field. Jurina is back left and Meimei (Sakai Mei) is back-right, you two will watch our backs. Miichan, you will be in the middle of the formation, you are quick so you will have to support both squads.” She pauses to make sure everyone understood and to catch her breath.
The others nod excitedly, especially Jurina, who seems ready to taste blood. (These young’uns are so eager to strut their stuff.) Sayaka smiles confidently at her squad.
“Alright, let’s win this and get our time in the spotlight!” The always camera-eager Miichan, puts her hand in the middle of the circle.
“Team 2 in 3.” Sae grins at Sayaka, “3, 2, …”
The five girls join hands in the middle and shout “TEAM 2!” before falling into their formation. It’s going be a long and interesting day.

Command Tower
“Welcome to this week of Shukan AKB. Today, the girls from AKB48 and SKE48 are going all out in a battle of paintball. There are 3 teams of fives, 3 from AKB and 2 from SKE. Team 2 looks like they’re ready to go! Right, Tomochin?” Yuko excitedly turns to the girl to her left.
“Yes, Yuko. But we cannot expect anything else from the team that Saeyaka are leading.” Tomochin nods sagely as she observes Team 2 on one of the monitors.
“Saeyaka?” Tomo~mi, who is sitting to Yuko’s left, tilts her head at her co-host on the other side.
“Yes, Sayaka plus Sae equals Saeyaka. Saves me time from saying two names.”
“Oh? Then what are we called when we’re together?"
“Tomotomo.”
“Awww … so cute! I like that a lot!”
“I thought you would.” Tomochin replies with a smirk.
Yuko sighs exaggeratedly and rolls her eyes, even when the camera is rolling. (Why am I stuck in the middle of these two lovebirds? Where is NyanNyan when I need her? … wait, when DON’T I need her? Garh, I hope she’s not having too much fun with Mariko at that photoshoot. I hope she brings back a present from Osaka.) After another sigh, she collects herself and smiles at the camera. “Alright, let’s go to Team 1. They look like they’re all geared up.”

Team 1 Preparation
“Takamina-san, are you sure this is a good idea?” Kuumin asks quietly as she looks down at what she’s just been handed.
“Yes I’m sure. Haven’t you played Contra before? This is essential!” Takamina nods insistently before she hands Kanon the same thing.
(What does this have to do with Contra?) Kuumin thought to herself.
“But won’t the enemies spot us more easily if we have this pink thing around our heads?” Kanon tilts her head questionably as she stares at the smaller girl.
“C’mon, girls, have some team spirit! Besides, it’ll make us a bit more girly in this camouflage get up.” Mochi giggles as she put on the ridiculously pink hachimaki.
“That’s the spirit, Mochi!” Takamina pats her supporter on the shoulder, an action she instantly regrets.
“Awww, anything for you, Takamina!” Mochi lets out a happy laugh before latching herself onto the team leader. “Just let me play with your ear!” She leans in and captures the chibi’s ear between her lips.
“Ack! Leggo of me! Stoooooop~” Takamina whines.
At that moment Acchan wanders up to her team, having been away to change into the camouflage uniform, since she arrived late. She’s already tied the pink cloth around her head, “Let me help you, Minami.” She offers with a bright smile and pinches Mochi’s ear, tugging at it until the lecher yelp in pain and free Takamina.
“Ouch! Acchan, you’re so possessive!” Mochi pouts and holds her ear, which is red from the pain.
“No I’m not, I’m just doing my job to protect the leader.” Acchan grins wickedly at the other girl before she pats Takamina’s head.
“Thanks, Acchan.” Takamina tries to dodge her friend’s pat. The memory of her dream is still fresh on her mind and she really need to focus on today’s event.
“Alright, girls. Whichever team wins this tournament will have their member profiles featured on the main AKB48 and SKE48 websites for a month. Not to mention more screen time on AKBingo and Shukan. We have to do our best for this opportunity. It is another step toward our dreams. Let us seize this moment and make it ours.” Takamina looks around the circle of five, meeting each of their gazes and nodding in agreement.
“Team 1 in 3.” Acchan puts her in the middle of the circle, having been inspired by her chibi captain, “3, 2, …”
The five girls join hands in the middle and shout “TEAM 1!” in unison.
Kuumin and Kanon look at each other, smiling and nodding. Though their sempais are really odd sometimes, they sure are dedicated and admirable.

Team 3 Preparation
“Finally, our time has come. They will know the devastating power of Team 3. Sisters, lend me your strength and show the enemies no mercy! Let them think back on this day and cower in fear of our might. We will show them … no, we will show the world, that we truly deserve the publicity!”
“Will you calm down, Miyao? You get all crazy and carried away when you hear about extra publicity.” Miyuyu rolls her eyes as she slips on her protective goggles.
“No, Miyu, she’s right! It’s about time people stop underestimating Team B!” Yukirin pulls a camouflage hat on her head.
“Ano …” Shawako raises her hand, “Rena-san and I are not part of Team B … or AKB48 …”
“OH! Did I say team B? I meant Team 3!” Yukirin laughs and pats Shawako’s shoulder, “Don’t mind. Don’t mind.”
Rena chuckles softly and inspects her gun, making sure that it is loaded and ready to go.
“Wow, Rena-chan, you look serious when you’re posed like that. It’s kind of hot.” Yukirin turns to the normally mild-mannered girl.
“I have some business to take care of … Yuki-san.” She smiles, but her eyes spark a serious light. That light is enough to make the other girls look at each other worriedly.
“Alright, enough chit-chat. Come closer and I’ll tell you the plan.” Miyuyu pulls her team into a huddle, “They won’t know what hit them …” the girl grins mischievously as she whispers the plan …
And suddenly, all their faces dawn the same grin. All except Miyao, who looks really disturbed …

Command Tower
“We are back at the command tower, chiyuu.” Tomo~mi smiles and winks at the camera.
“Thank you, Tomomi-chan.” Yuko chuckles at the girl’s catchphrase, “Well I am certainly afraid of these girls once they get serious. Did you see the look on Rena-chan’s face? Scary!”
“I foresee a lot of interesting things coming up today.” Tomochin gleefully claps her hands.
“Why don’t you brief the audience on the detail before the action begins, Tomochin?” Yuko quickly suggests when she noticed Tomo~mi getting ready to spout out more lovey dovey nonsense.
“Okay. So you’ve met our 3 teams, all cutely dressed in their camouflage. Each member is supplied with a standard issued paintball gun, calibrated to get 30 shots. Though headshots are forbidden, they all have to wear safety goggles and gears. Team 1’s color is pink, Team 2 is green, and Team 3 is blue. If a person is hit, they are out immediately and will have to report back to the medic tent for the remainder of the event. The last team standing gets the prize.” Tomochin quickly goes through the rule of the game.
“The setting of this battle is the War Zone paintball field. Each team has been dispatched to a spot equal distance to the other teams, so they’re in a triangular position. There are wooded areas, barren fields, log houses, walls, etc. It looks like a realistic warzone! I think the girls will have lots of fun playing this and you, the audience, will be highly entertained.” Yuko adds to Tomochin’s introduction.
“It looks like they’re about to start.” Tomochin points to the screens of the teams getting into their positions.

And this is a taste of the girls in camouflage ... not very flattering, but it inspired me to write a paintball theme (which I hope haven't been done before)
