It was reportedly just announced at the H1 revival show that all promoted Kenkyuusei are forming Team 4 and will have their own stages.
What is this I don't even.
-
1st!
-
Yeah, some of us predicted this would happen. Still funny it actually happened
I am glad because this means we won't have any mass graduation for at least another while!!
As far as I know, these are the only promoted kenkyuusei without a Team:

edit: It will be these 10 girls + 4 to be promoted KKS :panic:
メンバーは昇格発表され、所属先未定だった9期&10期研究生10名。
Seems like (I'm not sure) new team includes all 9 gen and 10 gen girls. It's pretty coincidence but its number equals 16 :nervous
-
I like the sound of Team 4 a hell of a lot more than "Oh, we're going to promote this set of awesome girls only to use them as dedicated backups for front girls who are absent." That idea was SO stupid and I'm glad they aren't doing it. Even if this news reeks of "we didn't have a plan lol" I still dig that these awesome girls will get their own team and time to shine. :thumbup
I hope they start with an original stage, though. It would be so bad to see this group of already seasoned girls do Party ga Hajimaru Yo or something.

Nah, that just says the promoted girls from 9th and 10th gen are 10 people in total.
-
^ Party ga Hajimaru Yo
Yeah. I was just wondering again yesterday if they'd ever form a team 4 and team 8 to either put the top 4/8 AKB'ers in a team, or put some of the recent Kenkyuusei promotions to extra groups.
Then I thought what a stupid idea that would be. :P
Wonder if they will migrate any current AKB members over... :panic:

Also announced today is that all teams, including Team 4, will get a new stage :thumbup
[Poll] Which girls do you want to see in Team 4? (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=29609.0)

Iriyama Anna (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=25666.0)
Kawaei Rina (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=27088.0)
99% they will pass.
It's not my choice, these girls are extremely popular among KKS members.
-
Huge troll.
-
For the first 10 girls there are:
Shimada Haruka – 島田晴香
Shimazaki Haruka – 島崎遥香
Oba Mina – 大場美奈
Takeuchi Miyu – 竹内美宥
Nakamura Mariko – 中村麻里子
Yamauchi Suzuran – 山内鈴蘭
Nagao Mariya – 永尾まりや
Mori Anna – 森杏奈
Ichikawa Miori – 市川美織
Nakamata Shiori – 仲俣汐里
I'm don't know how I'm feeling about that! :tama-uhh:
I'm happy because there is no massive graduation~~
By the way, I will follow this seriously because it seems interessant :)

+ iwata karen
+ tano yuuka
now, people can't call them akb again, must akb48.
-
Aww man, does this mean that there'll eventually be a team 8? :tama-mad:
lol :P
I'm happy for these girls, but at the same time, I don't know how to feel about this new team addition.
But then again, I would rather these girls be on an official team instead of graduating before an official promotion.
-
O____O I'm embarrased to say that it took a good few posts for me to work out what Team 4 meant! I must be tired...
:D Nice that these teamless girls are being made into a new team- though I'm a little bothered by the team's going into numbers! XD I thought the whole point was to have teams named after letters (aside from the letters standing for the theatre location) and the 48 was the little bit at the end to keep it tidy and explain there were LOADS of members...
So eventually will there be 5 teams?
A K B FOR - TY 8
:twothumbs
-
Watch some member introduce the team as Team FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [/HG]. To be honest, I'm hoping Shimada does it on the first day of the new stage. XD
But hey, good going for the promoted girls. They now have an official team to call their own. This news satisfies both those fearing mass graduations and those complaining/wondering when these girls will ever be put on a team. :thumbup

jaf, I hereby decree you as having the best idea for this team yet.
I've been thinking about this all day at work. To be honest, I'm really excited more than anything else. 9th gen made a major name for themselves during their kenkyuusei run, and it seems so right for them to be the major force behind this new team. The only thing I really see that it does "wrong", and this is getting REALLY picky, is that is kinda takes away the meaning of the 48 in AKB48. Still, we get another awesome team, so who gives a shit! :twothumbs Still, I look forward to the team being full and there being 64 working members... because it's just way too much fun to say "AKB SIXTY-FOOOOOUUUUUUUUUR!"
Nintendo Sixty-FOOOOOOOOOOUR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFlcqWQVVuU#)
The only question now is when these new stages will come. Hopefully sooner than later, and definitely without KII-like delays. :nervous
-
And everything went better than expected.
-
Team FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [/HG].
I can get behind this, トマトケチャップ 100% OK :thumbup
-
I think it's good that they kept them as a team.
They were pushed as a team, promoted as a team, and definitely would gel very well as a team. In a way, this is the first team since B (A?) that really had an identity before they came into their own officially. I'm expecting good things. Now to sit back and await the Team 4 bandwagoners!
-
According to Togasaki (http://ameblo.jp/akihabara48/entry-10915712180.html), the Team 4 stage will be performed by the 10 official members + 6 kks that will fill in the remaining positions. These kks will be anyone up to 12th gen.
-
I guess Yuko will be disappointed Project OSR48 will need to be postponed. again. ;)
O S R 48 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJZYA7j5Qjc#ws)

Akimoto trolling at the speed of light.
I like some of them at least...
...but, what?
-
What about adding some of the SKE48 kenkyuusei? When team S was formed, Nakanishi and Deguchi moved from the AKB48 kenkyuusei to SKE. This could be a nice moment to 're-pay' AKB? XD
...just thinking of desperate ways to get kaotan in a team after many years of kenkyuusei status.

AKB48 expands with Team 4
Today, AKB48 announced the creation of its 4th team. 10 of the group’s research students have been promoted to the newly launched “Team 4,” with 6 more available spots to be filled in the future.
So far, AKB48 and its related groups have roughly followed a structure of having three 16-member teams (for a total of 48 main members) and a pool of “research students,” though the actual number of members assigned to a team has fluctuated with graduations and promotions.
AKB48 originally started just with Team A and later added Teams K and B. Naturally, they are continuing the naming scheme with Team 4, though it is unknown whether there are plans to eventually add a Team 8.
According to the announcement, Team 4′s first 10 members are:
Ichikawa Miori
Oba Mina
Shimazaki Haruka
Shimada Haruka
Takeuchi Miyu
Nagao Mariya
Nakamata Shiori
Nakamura Mariko
Mori Anna
Yamauchi Suzuran
For now, the remaining 6 positions will be support positions, filled in by other research students (currently up to the 12th generation) during Team 4′s stage performances.
The AKB48 blog has also announced details of the group’s upcoming nationwide tour, scheduled from August 1 to August 31. Team 4 has been assigned two of the tour dates, on August 2 in Kagoshima and August 8 in Tottori.
