Title: [9/14] MoMuSu 47 Single - Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa o Honki de Negatterun da yo!
Post by: ishiyoshiftw~^^ on June 23, 2011, 09:27:53 PM: Morning Musume’s 47th single will be Takahashi Ai’s last single. Double A-side (meaning two PVs) and will be released on her 25th birthday, September 14th.

The titles are Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa o Honki de Negatterun da yo! and Kare to Issho ni Omise ga Shitai

Cos, you know, we gotta have nifty little acronyms in order to refer to all the singles. XD

Also, double A-side yay! I suspect that Kare to Issho ni Omise ga Shitai is the Ai-centric one. It sounds more individualistic than the more catch-all first one (too freaking long too type :P). I'm glad that they made Ai's last single so significant though. Release date on her birthday, double A-side etc... Hope they do a good job with the PVs! And of course, they had better be good songs. :lol:

She sounds amazing as usual, and I really like the guitar parts, but the drums are what ultimately kill it for me. It's such a subtle detail between disappointment and awesomeness too: if they just went with a slower drum pattern and gave it a stronger, bass-heavy sound I think I would like it A LOT more. Funny how such a small change makes a big difference for me. :lol:

Ahem.
Best PVs of the year? I think they might be.
But the rest of the H!P PVs this year have been pretty good too...

Anyway...
Love how there's crazy amounts of lens flare ALL OVER THE PLACE in the first one.
It's like J.J. Abrams took over the photography lol.
That CG tunnel of light looks awesome.

For the other one, I really like the costumes they gave to Aichan and Zukki.
Aichan looks boss in her military outfit and Zukki is cuute as a kindergartener.
I especially liked how they reduced the FPS to give it a stop-motion effect that goes really well with the crazy-colored backdrops.

Was worried about how they'd handle Aika being unable to dance.
Now I know, they just crop her out of the dance shot lol.
They just imply there's another person on the end.
Then for the group jumping around shots, they just have her sit down.

Also- it's great because screen time seems very fair and well balanced... at least because you can see the other members being cute in the background~ ; w ;
The full versions are going to be amazing! I hope this single does great things for Morning Musume and perhaps that they'll continue to release double A sides in future!! :P :heart:

Actually, there is a storyline reason why Risa didn't use her normal finishing move, the Mayuge Beam. Right before she goes to battle with the monster she uses the beta capsule to transform into Ultra-Risa. As Ultra-Risa her finisher as one would expect is the Specium Ray.

But I guess that they didn't want to end it with such a depressing note :nervous

But EXILE is also releasing a single, topping the first day and will probably take the whole week, so no #1 this time...still, double the first day sales of the previous single and most since "Nanchatte Renai" (which also got denied #1 due to a bigger act showing up). :twothumbs

But graduation buzz aside, the songs themselves are worthy of attention. Somehow the combo of H!P and a disco-revival sound that just works--Kono Chikyuu no Long-ass Title™ is a straight up awesome song with the funky grooves of the verses and the upbeat vibe of the chorus. Though I keep getting a Mario Kart Rainbow Road feel when the happy music combines with the star-filled CGI-driven video. :lol: And the other song (don't feel like looking up the title), while I don't like as much, is pretty damn catchy in its own right with one hell of a trippy video, going all Momusu-ception with all the rewinding dreams within the dreams (and Sayu's floating head kinda creeps me out). Tsunku and company really stepped things up for this one.

Even though I'm still meh about Aichan's solo song, I will say that performance on Coming Soon was pretty damn good...though I shouldn't expect less from her. :P
