My favorite album has to be huma-rhythm (hence, my site addy - total hitomi fangirlism :lol:). It's seriously one of my favorite JPOP albums ever and highly recommended =P

I have almost all the singles from hitomi. I think she sings quite well but...I don't know, I'm not attached to her music. Maybe it doesn't have the "grow-on-me" factor.

when hitomi first came out I couldn't get enough, I loved sexy (I think I have listened to it about a million times) and by myself but then one song turned me off and I stopped listening. but now my hitomi obsession is back in full force.
I blame it on japanese girl. now I have to go back and collect all the singles and albums I missed while I was flinging my money at other artists.
I'm going to be broke.

Stop complaining daigong, "GO MY WAY" actually made it to Oricon Daily Top 20 (landed at #18 on 1st day)! It doesn't matter that the PV is cheap and the song title is stolen from Yaida Hitomi :P

hitomi will star in the movie "Akumu Tantei" (Nightmare Detective)! The movie directed by Tsukamoto Shinya (apparently he wrote the screenplay as well) will hit the theaters in spring 2007.

daigong! Can't believe it - I confess!! I had exactly the same motivation, picked up her Love Life album cheap on eBay kinda based on the cover pic as much as anything, and have been blown away by her music and have grabbed anything of hers that has come my way ever since. She is hot, sweet, a great voice, solid performer on stage... haven't yet managed any PVs but hope that will change soon from what you've said. So my pervy mind led me to picking up an interest in who has become now one of my top fave artists in J-pop. My latest acquisition was her music & fashion concert whch CDJapan did on special a few months ago, plus I just received HumaRhythm and another album (forget which) is on its way to me right now. Glad to find I'm in such illustrious company as a hitomi fan. Oh, I think it's cool how, with all the Hitomis in J-music, she is confident enough to call herself, well, just 'hitomi'. Cute as!!!

After a string of not so popular singles, hitomi is finally releasing an album on 2006/09/27. Untitled as of yet, it'll come in 2 editions: limited CD+DVD (3800yen) (http://cdjapan.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-23032) and regular CD only (2913yen) (http://cdjapan.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-23033). Music videos included on the DVD are apparently all 5 prior singles: Japanese girl, Love Angel, CRA"G"Y MAMA, Go My Way and Ai no Kotoba (to be released on 2006/09/13). The album features "theme of love" according to CDJapan :rolleyes:

I actually liked all of her recent singles. I was kinda of confused about CRA'G'Y Mama but it was good in the end. And the sheep people in the Love Angel PV...fuu. Japanese Girl(since I didnt buy the single) was awesome and that all that matters in making me want to buy this album.

It's an okay happy song, mellow rock. The na na chant is typical hitomi. Was there a PV for this? I gotta login to other forums sometime :lol: The B side is strange, latin-like.

I kinda like the new song. Especially when it hits the chorus. The other parts of the song was a little slow.
And yeah theres a pv for it. You gotta check it out because you get to see grannys kissing, men kissing each other and even a dog 'kissing' a guy. Its all about kissing.

hitomi is just a GODDESS :heart: :heart: :heart: I've been in love with her since her Thermo Plastic album, which is tops, followed by LOVE LIFE (that cover was just sex, you are so right daigong! :inlove:)

Yes, that's her debut movie. Since it seems like one of those Ring/One Missed Call kinda horror flicks, I guess she'll be solving the mysterious deaths with Ryuhei's character while waiting for her own? :lol:

Some great pics here! hitomi by far is my #11111111 singer, :inlove: she got me into J-Pop, actually should blame her for my addiction then. Sadly she's been a bit quiet since her marraige and baby, don't think a new album is scheduled. :( She did put out a digital single a few months back called Love Me Love Body, was a good song, reminded my a bit of her rocking songs from 10 years ago. Always on the look for any hitomi news, I'll update here if I find anything. :thumbsup Also have a small YouTube site with quite a few live hitomi songs, they still get hits so she still has some fans. Here's a couple of them, don't mind sharing if others are still interested in her. Like the first one the best, from a Pop Jam show in 2004, nice interview, she looks so fantastic or at least more than usual. 8)

Most know that hitomi starred in the 2006 movie Nightmare Detective, that was quite a good film, :thumbsup but in 2003 she starred in another film, it was a short one entitled No Where. It's only 15:26 long, it was filmed in Italy, something of an arty love story, really not bad, having hitomi in all the scenes makes it that way. :yep: It's a small file, can upload it if anyone is interested, couple screenshots from it.

Pop singer hitomi has announced on her official blog that she will be making what appears to be a full comeback later this month!
“From now on, when I wake up in the middle of the night, I’ll be thinking of live performances,” she wrote excitedly in her blog entry. “This time, all the (people who helped to contribute) are foreigners. I can’t speak English, but since (my album) ‘Spirit’ – which comes out on April 27th – is gonna be awesome, listen to it~”.
hitomi has been more or less on hiatus since getting married in 2008 and giving birth to her first child, putting out only three releases in as many years. Her last album, “LOVE LIFE 2″, which features a pregnant nude shot of hitomi on the cover, hit stores nearly two years ago.
Because of her general inactivity, fans were excited to see that she would be releasing a more substantial amount of new material, commenting, “Such a good thing to hear,” “Looking forward to the 27th, and even more for your live performances,” and “I can’t wait to listen to it!”

Pop singer hitomi has just revealed new information about her upcoming album, “SPIRIT”!
Online music store SHINSEIDO updated the info page for “SPIRIT” with the names of all songs on her latest release. The album is her first since giving birth to her child, and comes almost two years after her last album, “LOVE LIFE 2“.

Not only that, but Rivers Cuomo from Weezer and A Simple Plan will take part in hitomi’s album as well.
amm’s main headquarters is in New York and has worked with the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, and Black Eyed Peas, but this is the company’s first time working with a Japanese artist.
It’s been confirmed that the indie label that she transferred to is “maximum10“, and it’s worth mentioning that one of the label’s artists, “FACT”, recently made a debut in Europe and America.

Pop singer hitomi updated her official blog with a picture of herself dolled up as a nurse, piquing the interest of her fans with her sexy cosplay.
“My (Ustream event) is gonna air~” she wrote in reference to her live streaming event on the 10th. “After this my heart will be pounding~ It’s going to be an amazing day!”
Although her readers were excited about her upcoming event over Ustream, they were equally excited about the picture she included of herself doing a sexy nurse cosplay. Fans commented, “Nurse hitomi-san is sooo cute,” “Reminds me of Kill Bill”, and “Seeing hitomi-san look so cool makes me happy.”
