“Saisho no Mail” describes one’s feelings when they send that first (e-)mail to the person they like. Kashiwagi Yuki commented, “We thought of what a girl with a global point of view would long for, and mail seems to be the subject of that.” Member Takajo Aki stated that at first they were thinking of a song that is “French Kiss” music.
The single will include a DVD containing footage of girls on their ‘Korea Bullet Tour‘. Fans will get to see the members dressed up in traditional Korean clothes (‘hanboks‘), as well as casual clips of the girls wandering local streets, trying out different foods.
Commenting on their Korean Bullet Tour, Kashiwagi said that it was her first time in Korea and she immediately took a liking to the city’s atmosphere and food.
With regards to the single’s promotions, the girls will be doing a campaign on Recochoku called “A ‘First letter’ from French Kiss”. One member will choose their favorite “love mail” and send one back. French Kiss expressed that it’s an exciting project for them, and Takajo sweetly pointed out that the scenario is like what one would find in a manga. She requested that their fans send a letter that will make her heart skip a beat. Kuramochi, on the other hand, wants one that is more straightforward.
The single’s coupling song will be the opening theme song to the music show, “Street Fighters“. There will also be a new song by Kashiwagi and Kuramochi called “Candle no Shin“.
