This was supposed to be a long one-shot but my first try in writing this ended up as a... Well.. Fail (in a form that it turned into a Smut, which I swore never to make), so I had to rewrite it. And now it's not as great as how it was at first (Not that it was great to begin with.) But hey, at least I still tried to make it, write?!

Anyway, let's continue! T_T

Unrequited Love: Part 1

An unrequited love, they say, was far better than being rejected. That it was less painful than hearing the words “I don’t love you back” or “I’m sorry” from the person you love…

Maybe that was true. She was already sure that she would, without a doubt, get rejected if ever she confesses to the person she loves anyway. At least right now, the two of them could be friends, talking with each other, giving each other some hugs and even share quick kisses at ease. Confessing her feelings would only ruin their friendship. And she knew that if ever she gets rejected, then everything won’t be the same anymore…

Why?

Well there are two reasons why.

First would be because she was far too young to be with her.

And the second would be well…

Because they were both Girls…

She couldn’t deny the fact that her ‘love’ to the girl was forbidden, and the more she tried to hide it from her, the more her feelings would tempt her into confessing. Worst of all, every time she would talk to her, every time the two of them would spend some time together… It would hurt her inside…

It was like a slow suicide…

And yet, even though she knew that she would only hurt herself by it… She would still come to meet her everyday… Even though it hurt her each time she realizes that she would only remain as ‘friends’ with her and not move to another level… Even though hearing the word “We’re friends” from her very lips crushed her into pieces... She would still expect to see her everyday…

That’s right… it was a slow suicide… A suicide that doesn’t kill you literally…

But instead, kills all of your happiness…

-

“….na…” Jurina furrowed her brows a little as she finally came to. Everything was still black for her though, but she was aware that she heard a feint voice just now. A familiar one at that, but she couldn’t point out perfectly who it was yet.

“…rina!!” Now it was louder. Well, more like it was half-way to shouting.

“Jurina, if you’re not going to open your eyes this instant, I won’t talk to you anymore for a whole week.”

Instantly recognizing the voice now that it was clearer, younger girl’s eyes darted open, only for it to close again thanks to the light immediately greeting her eyes. She groaned a little before opening them again, this time slower. Now it wasn’t the blinding light that greeted her vision- but rather, a blinding beauty crouching down beside her.

“Ah, it worked… I mean, Welcome back to reality, Jurina.” The said beauty smiled, making younger girl’s heart flutter a little, “I have a bad news though.” Jurina frowned at the other female’s sudden change of voice, “Jurina… You’ve been asleep for three years, and now, SKE is gone, everyone’s back to living with their ordinary lives… Actually… The whole 48 Group died, including the overseas sister Group… Everything fell apart within the span of three years.”

Jurina mentally facepalmed as she closed her eyes disappointedly. That was a lie, obviously, and she was aware of that. “I see that you’re still ‘fat’ even after three years, Rena.” She decided to go by the ‘joke’ though, teasing the older Matsui instead in process- who gave her a painful pinch in response. “OW! Hey- I was only joking, jeez! You crab of a melonpan lover you!” she rubbed her arm while pouting.

“That’s what you get for calling me fat…”

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Still half-asleep, Jurina pushed herself up and rubbed her eyes before scanning around the mirror-filled room. It was now empty, with nothing but abandoned water bottles and bags lying down at the corner of the room.

Practice must have ended already… younger member thought to herself as she looked at the object she used as a pillow. Her bag. She frowned soon after But wait, isn’t it a little bit too early for them to finish Practicing?

“Jokes aside, how are you feeling now, Jurina?”

“Better than earlier, at least… By the way, where’s everyone? Isn’t it still early for everyone to be heading home now? And I was hoping to get at least a hour of practice after I wake up too… Curse this dizziness…”

Rena sighed.

“Aki-P thought that it would be better if everyone goes home and take a rest for now… Aside from you, the others were also worn-out for some reason… Which leads to this question; why did you bother coming here when in fact, you’re still dead tired from filming for Shukan AKB? You should have taken the day off if you were tired… I’m sure that Aki-P would have understood…”

Because I would miss a chance to see you…

Jurina smiled bitterly in secret. She couldn’t possibly voice that out though, so she had to come up with a lame excuse.

“Well I was scared that I would miss a new choreography or something close to that… So I came.” Yep. Lame excuse.

She facepalmed inwardly.

“Like I said, stop worrying about small things.” Rena sighed. Really, this girl sometimes gets too serious on practicing. She sometimes would even forget about eating Lunch just so she could continue on practicing with the others. And to think that she was still fourteen as well… “Jurina, you have to think of yourself more. You’re still Young, you know. So try not to push yourself too much.”

Jurina frowned even more.

There’s that word again. ‘Young’. Everyone would always tell her that she’s too Young for this, too Young for that. Why can’t she do everything she wishes to do!? It’s not her fault that she tends to try her best to become the ‘Number 1’ in Rena’s eyes, right? She did promise that she would do her best to become her number one…

But… She must be failing… Horribly at that, knowing how Rena still had her full attention on Furukawa Airi. If only she had the power to switch bodies!!

“Well that aside…” Rena finally stood up from her crouching position, with her hand held out towards younger Matsui, “Why don’t we change out of our dirty clothes and head home already? You still need some rest, right?”

Heaving out a defeated sigh, nodding her head was the best thing Jurina could do, grabbing the older Matsui’s hand soon after for support as she stood up from the ground.

--

“A-Ah… Isn’t this… A little bit too rough, Yuka…?”

“It’s fine… Leave this to me, Mizuki. I’m actually really good at these kinds of things, you know… Now Relax and let me do the working…”

Both Rena and Jurina’s face heated up with the color of red spreading on it as soon as they drew near to the dressing room.

Those were the first words they heard from the other side of the door- but aside from words, there were also moaning, panting… and even more moaning!

Jurina’s face grew even redder.

“Won’t everyone find it weird if they find us though… Like this as well…”

“Shh… Everything will be fine, I tell you…”

Oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God, those words continued on ringing inside Jurina’s head in a loop, her eyes growing wider and wider by the second as she and Rena continued to stand still before the door- as though they were made into stones from surprise.

“Jurina, let’s leave.”

“Eh?”

Rena successfully snapped Jurina out from her ‘Oh God’ trace, with the latter one now looking at the former with a puzzled look on her face.

“Let’s leave.” Rena hurriedly turned to the other direction and took a few steps forward- only to be stopped by Jurina.

Jurina herself was surprised as to why she did that… But she did it… And now she had to defend herself as to why she did such a thing. The look of Rena’s face earlier flashed in her mind though…

The usual composed and calm Rena was actually glaring at the door angrily. As though she was trying to break it open with only her stare. Does she hate those kind of things that much? Maybe she didn't like the thought of two people actually being intimate inside a dressing room? Or maybe… maybe Rena didn't like the idea of two Girls doing ‘it’…?

Jurina shifted her eyes down a little.

If so, then that simply meant one thing to younger Matsui…

She had no chance in invading Rena’s heart now. It was clear now that Rena is absolutely straight. And she knew that the older Matsui had no plans of bending herself even if it’s just a little… Never…

And then, the door flew open.

“Oh he~y! You two were eaves dropping? Say, say, don’t you think that Mizuki looks great in this wedding dress? This was supposed to be for her photoshoot tomorrow but I wanted to see her in it already... Oh! Oh! And this tux, does it suit me? We look like a couple, right~?”

The two Matsuis stared at the pair standing before them with widened eyes.

Pfft…

Mizuki, Yuka, and Rena slowly turned their attentions to Jurina, who was now holding her mouth as though she was trying to cover it from eating something horrible.

“S-Sorry.. I just… I…” Youngest of the Group laughed loudly, making the other three even more puzzled. “Sorry… I actually- I mean… It suits you, Mizuki! Really!”

“…I feel like sarcasm is being used on me…” Kuwabara Mizuki deadpanned before walking inside the dressing room again, dragging Nakanishi Yuka along with her in process. “Come on, we’re changing out of these… I don’t think I want to do the photoshoot tomorrow anymore…”

“Eh? But you really do look good in it! Jurina herself even said it, right?”

“While laughing? Yeah right, as if I’d believe that.”

And with that, the door shut before Jurina and Rena once again.

“Well that was some disappointment, eh, Rena? I guess we completely misunderstood the tw-”

“I’m going home…” Rena cut the poor Jurina before she could finish, walking away from her soon after.

Jurina just stood there, wide eyed and obviously surprised at how Rena just acted not less than a minute ago. The small girl pursed her lips into a bitter smile soon after, with her hand which she instinctively held out as soon as she saw Rena’s back walking away from her dropping down back to her side. “She really must hate it huh…?” younger girl muttered to herself.

She knew it…

She knew it from the very beginning that Rena wasn't one of those Girls who would fall in love from the same gender…

She knew that she had no chance at all…

She knew all of that and yet she…

She still chose to love her…

“Jurina? What happened?” A Yuka who was now in normal clothing asked as soon as she walked out from the dressing room, giving younger girl a gentle pat on her shoulder for attention at the same time. “Did Rena leave already? Without changing her clothes?”

Jurina turned to the taller girl, rested her forehead on her shoulder, and muttered something that wasn’t the answer Yuka wanted…

“Yuka… I think I want to graduate…”

Ah. Unrequited Love. Good one, Akii.
Rena's behaviour can be caused by some reason.
Towards Jurina or.. peoples around her.
I'll wait for the part 2.

Another Story, because the WMatsui story will have to wait like a boss. :DD

Just Me...

I’m the one who Yukirin loves the most, right?

Of course! I love Mayuyu a lot!

Is what we usually say to each other all the time, it’s as though it had become our daily basis to do such a thing; Like it was a normal thing to the whole world. I actually believed in those words. Every time you said that to me, I would always smile like a kid who just opened a Christmas present.

To hear you say that you love me everyday…

I believed in it eventually…

But it seems like it’s nothing but a total lie.

Did you know? When I heard that you were diagnosed with Pneumonia and had to take a break because of it, I was the first who became frantic about it. I was in the middle of a photoshoot when I heard the news- and even though I was still in a weird costume, I wanted to run to where you were. I wanted to see if you were okay…

I wanted to make sure that you were okay…

I had to wait for two more hours before my photoshoot would finish. And within that small span of time, I was growing more and more worried. There was this weird feeling stirring up in my chest, making my heart beat faster than usual.

I wonder if Yukirin’s okay.

Did she eat already?

What should I bring when I visit her?

Those were the only things I could think of at that time. It’s kind of stupid now that I think about it. But I guess I couldn’t help it. I didn’t want to lose you.

As soon as my photoshoot ended, I hurriedly changed into my normal clothes, ran out of the studio, and headed towards your house. I ran. Literally. Even though I knew that I could have taken a taxi, I decided to run. I suppose you could say that my mind went blank, and that my usual ‘genius’ side fainted because of the news.

Thankfully though, the studio where I was in wasn’t that far from your home.

By the time I arrived there, I was covered with my sweat as expected while panting heavily. You must have been weirded out after seeing my face like that. When you opened the door, you jumped up a little, after all; your usual exaggerated, yet at the same time, already ‘normal’ reaction when you’re surprised.

“Mayu! What happened? Moreover, aren’t you supposed to be in your photoshoot right now?”

I loved the way how you prolonged my name that time.

“It just ended… So I thought that I’d give my Yukirin a quick visit…” I said in between my panting. I was secretly hoping by then that you wouldn’t notice it. That you wouldn’t find out that I actually went there by foot, because if you would, then without a doubt, you’d scold me like there’s no tomorrow.

“Really? Why are you covered with sweat?”

I cleared my throat. Sometimes, I would come to hate your sharp intuition. But I guess that ‘hate’ never did last more than a minute every time it comes.

“I uh… Did an exercise before coming here.”

“Let me guess, running on your way here?”

“…Somewhat.”

Your brows furrowed down as I smiled up at you sheepishly.

“Mayu, how many times do I have to tell you that no matter how much in a hurry you are, you have to take a taxi? We all know how you’re not the athletic type, despite your ‘Cyborg’ title.” You prolonged my name again. I couldn’t help but smile as a response. “Come in and sit down. I’ll go get us some drink.”

“Ah! I’ll do that! You’re the one who’s sick here, Yukirin, so I should be the one doing the chores for you

Just like what I said, I did everything I could to help you lessen the things you had to do. Such as clean up, get you foods and drinks, and even cook something for you to eat- even though I once again troubled you by making you instruct me what I have to do just to cook a simple dish like porridge. I’m sorry; I’m just not that good when it comes to cooking… Though if you ask, I would be more than willing to tell you a bed time story.

When I finished cleaning, arranging things and cooking, the two of us sat down by the dinning table, with me watching you eat slowly.

I still remember how you constantly thanked me for helping you at that time, while I would always reply with ‘it’s not a problem!’ whenever you said those two words. It was quite the funny scene, really.

I was contented with things that way. Even though doing the chores for you was kind of tiring, I would always be recharged in an instant after hearing you thank me. I was actually happy that I was the one who came to your company. That it was only you and I in your small home. But then that small trace of mine ended after awhile.

It had to end when that cursed doorbell rang.

“Yukirin? It’s Sae, I came to check if you were feeling okay.

Your eyes seemed as though it was sparkling as soon as you heard her voice from the other side of the door. I could still remember how you hurriedly stood up from your chair, almost stumbling down on the floor in process as you made your way towards the door in a rush. In less that a second, you and Sae were already standing in front of each other, with huge smiles plastered on your faces.

Unlike what you did to me, you didn’t ask Sae why her hair was a mess- why she looked as though a storm had just run over her and why she was sweating a lot like me- and panting at that. Instead, you clumsily invited her inside and offered her something to drink.

You eventually fixated your attention only to her- asking her whether she was okay, chatting with her and laughing together happily like a newly wedded couple.

…You completely forgot about my existence…

To see you smile widely like that, it actually made me happy. But to know that it wasn’t me who placed that smile on your face… It hurt… It hurt to see how someone else could make you laugh so easily like that… It was… suffocating me.

I wanted to leave the two of you as fast as I could- for the scene before me to disappear. So without permission, I left your house.

Once again, I was running.

But this time, it wasn’t towards you, this time… I was running away…

This time, it wasn’t with a worried look on my face, but with small trail of tears trickling down on my cheek.

This feeling on my chest…

This tight feeling on my chest, which was tight enough for me to even breathe- to even drink water…

If this is what they call love…

Then surely,

Surely it’s just me.

I’m the only one in love.

Just me…

I'm in spazzing state because of the angst-y-ness of the fic.
And because my favorite family pair is on this fic by you, Akii!!! XD /punch you playfully/

Title: Short Shots Collection: 10 ways to confess. 1st try. (SasshiYui) 11/23
Post by: itadakimasu on November 23, 2011, 02:07:31 PM
@caghaunt: Almost forgot to post it. Lolol xD Thanks for reminding me!

10 ways to Confess

A sigh left from a certain wota’s lips as she looked at the list given to her by her ‘senpai’. She looked at the said ‘senpai’ soon after just to see how the short yet older girl was grinning at her proudly as though the things listed down on the piece of paper was the best thing one could get in the world. She looked at the paper again.

“Yuko… Are you sure that this is going to work..? The things listed here, I mean…”

“What, don’t you trust your ‘senpai’, Sasshi?”

“No- I mean, that’s not what I mean… It’s just that…” Sashihara Rino frowned a little as she looked at the piece of paper once again, her brows furrowing down as she re-read it again and again. Oh how she hoped that everything written here was just a trick made by her mind… “Aren’t the things listed here a little bit too… Well, extraordinary? I’m asking ways how to confess, you know… Not to embarrass myself.”

Another grin rose up from Yuko’s face, her arm resting itself over Sashihara’s shoulder soon after as she gave her fellow Not Yet member a slight pat, “It won’t, I tell you! Let’s just say that this is one way of impressing her AND confessing at her at the same time! You know, making a big impression. Trust me on this, Sashiko.” She winked at the younger girl.

The Wota sighed loudly with her head reluctantly nodding. She did ask for her, after all, so it would be rude if she doesn’t try her suggestions, right?

“It could be worth the shot… I guess…”

--

1. Make a bet with her. Tell her that if your ‘Beer Pong’ thing succeeds and gets inside the plastic cup, then she’ll have to go out with you and have a dinner.

Sashihara glared at the first task listed in the paper before groaning inwardly.

She knew that she was actually ‘good’ at that thing, despite the fact that she was a well-known ‘hetare’, but whether the ball would get in or not, that was up to her luck, right? What if it doesn’t get in? Then she’s doomed… Most of all, it was a ‘bet’ with her. Would she even agree to such a bet? Maybe she did choose the wrong person to ask for advices after all…

“Senpai, please stop using Kansai-ben…”

Yui’s voice echoed throughout the hallway from Not Yet’s dressing room, with footsteps walking closer to her following it.

Sashihara turned to her side to face the wall as a response. She could hear her! She could hear her footsteps drawing more and more closer by the second!  Soon, she would walk past her, and that would be the time that she would ask her about the bet, right? Yuko is helping her about this, after all… So she can’t possibly let her efforts be left to naught.

“Oops, sorry, it just came out naturally. I mean, whenever I look at Yui, I can’t help my self but try doing it, ya know?” It was Yuko’s voice.
“There you go again! Jeez, Senpai, really, please cut it off… You’re already fine with plain Japanese, so please don’t use Kanai-ben any more… You don’t have to force yourself.”

The Wota shivered a little as she hugged herself. She could see their shadows by the corner now. Any time soon she would be-

“Ah! Sashihara-senpai, great timing! Could you please help me stop Yuko-senpai from using kansai-ben?”

Sashihara swore her heart melted as soon as she saw Yui’s troubled face… It was heavenly! Not that she’s being a sadist or anything. She shifted her eyes to Yuko, who was standing right beside Yui with a devious grin afterward. The midget winked at her, making the poor wota twitch her brows a little.

“Well, uh, you heard her, Yuko. Stop using kansai-ben.”

“Boo, you two are no fun.” She stuck her tongue out and turned around, “I’ll just go annoy KitaRie then, while secretly hoping that I’ll see Nyan nyan on my way there! Nyan-nyan, I’m comiiiing!” with that said, she ran away from the two.

Eh?! Wait, she’s abandoning me!? I thought she said that she was going to stand right beside me just in case I faint! Sashihara’s eyes widened as she looked at the midget’s back moving more and more distant from her and Yui. That traitor…

If only she could, she would have sunk onto her knee already.

Yui’s face came to her vision as the ‘kohai’ blocked Yuko’s retreating form with her head, making the already tortured Wota jump up a little in surprise. Yui merely furrowed her brows in response, “Senpai? You look pale.”

“A-Ah, right… I was born pale, don’t worry…” Sashihara managed to stutter before stumbling a little towards the wall. Seriously, she really is a hetare! getting nervous already when she hasn’t even done anything yet.

“Impossible.” A frown made its way to Yui’s feature, “You’re not even as pale as Rena the last time I looked at you. And now… You’re worst than her.”

Sashihara gulped. How was she supposed to escape from this now? “B-By the way!” She snapped her fingers. Changing the topic might be a great way of escaping this, “Yui, want to make a bet with me?”

Her ‘kohai’ lifted her brows up, “A bet? What kind, exactly?”

“It’s nothing harmful, don’t worry.”

Yui simply kept quiet and stared at her, like what she usually does to the other members when she’s waiting for them to continue. Taking this as a cue for her to proceed, Sashihara began explaining the ‘mechanics’

“You remember my Beer Pong game, right?” Yui nodded, “I’ll do it from the second floor, let it bounce on the wall and make it fall inside the cup on the first floor successfully. If ever that happens, then you will have to go out with me and join me for dinner. How does that sound?” She held her thumb up as she tried to calm herself down. Truth be told, her hands were currently sweating a lot…

“What if you fail, then? What do I get?”

Sashihara facepalmed to herself greatly.

“Well… Um… I’ll… Do whatever you ask?”

Yui hummed, with her apathetic expression still plastered on her face- making it look like she had no interest at all… For Sashihara, that is. “Alright then. If Senpai fails, then she’ll have to do a ‘Comanenci’ outside the studio.” A small grin rose up from her face.

Sashihara was relief that the girl looked like she was interested about this stupid bet now, she really was. But for her to do a comanenci outside, where a lot of people passes by? This girl must be a sadist… “Can’t you change the dare…?”

The younger member shook her head.

She whined inwardly in response. Above all places available, why must it be in the public?

“…Alright, fine.”

She’ll just have to succeed, then. It’s her only way out of that torturous dare, after all.

-

“Senpai… Are you sure that you’re going to do this? I won’t mind you change your mind, you know…”

“Hah! Have you forgotten about Sashihara Pride?! There’s no way I’m backing out on this! Especially since I’m the one who made this bet.” Even though I honestly want to turn back the time and skip this choice right now.

The both of them were currently standing on one of the studio’s corridor, with Sashihara holding one yellow ping pong ball in her right hand hand. Below them stood a cup half-filled with water, waiting for the said ball to fall inside its whole- If ever the Wota would succeed, that is.

Sashihara took a deep breath in. “Here I go, then…”

It was one of those slow-motion moments for the two, with Sashihara slowly lifting her hand with the ball up, releasing it towards the wall to her right, and letting it bounce down to the first floor. The Wota then held her breath in.

Slowly, oh so slowly, the ball bounced and made its way to the cup’s direction… The two peeked down from the corridor in unison.

“Eh- No way!” Sashihara gaped.

Yui just kept quiet while looking down towards where the ball is,

Inside the cup.

“It seems like luck’s on your side, Senpai.” She smiled a little before turning back to her said ‘senpai’.

“So… Does that mean…?”

“Mm, I’ll eat dinner with you. I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t go out and eat with my senpai once in awhile after all.”

Wait, what? Sashihara lifted her brows up. “W-Wait, that’s not what I-”

“Yui-han, there you are!” KitaRie called out from the corner while panting. She dragged her feet to the two soon after, “Come on, it’s our turn for the coupling shot. The photographer’s getting impatient, you know!”

“Ah, I’m sorry, Kitahara-senpai. Until dinner time then, Sashihara-senpai.” Giving the wota a small bow, Yui turned around and walked off with Kitahara, leaving Sashihara there standing alone, eyes wide open and jaw dropped down.

The poor girl placed her hand which she unconsciously held out to her ‘kohai’ back to her side quietly, with a frown forming on her lips. “That’s… Not what I meant about ‘Go out’, Yui…” She muttered, her head dropping down in disappointment afterward.

She really is a hetare.

Title: Short Shots Collection: A booked Christmas (MaYuki) 12/25
Post by: itadakimasu on December 25, 2011, 07:16:15 AM
...Yeah, kind of lame...

I fail at cheese and fluffcorns. :T

A Booked Christmas

Breathing out heavily, Yuki rubbed her hands together.

Casting her eyes down, she could see her breath leaving her lips as the snow falling from the sky made her even colder. It was like a torture, standing there for possibly hours under the cold weather. But she didn’t want to leave just yet. She made a promise with someone, and even if that someone would be a million years late, she would still wait.

She looked up at the dark sky silently.

Maybe that person forgot about it already? About the promise they both pledged not long ago, that promise where they both linked their pinky fingers together while saying “Let’s meet on Christmas Eve” at the same time.

If their promise was indeed forgotten, then maybe that’s fine.

This kind of love story, this kind of pitiful romantic story where she can’t even spend a time with the person she loves- maybe this suited her the best. If that person doesn’t come by the time the bell rings, then it’s a given… That she wasn’t that important to be remembered.

Truth be told, she was starting to lose hope.

The snow was beginning to cover the street as it started to grow strong, and the passerby around her were starting to run for shelter- together with the one they were going to spend their Christmas with.  She wanted to find a shelter too, but the thought of that someone coming to their meeting place just to see that she had left already made her stop.

If one of them were going to wait- then she wants to be the one who takes that role.

Because she simply loves the person so much, that she doesn’t want to see her suffer.

Looking at the clock tower right infront of her, a pitiful smile rose up on her face.

11:50…

The time for the bell to ring was drawing closer, and yet, there was still no sign of her loved one.

Tears were starting to gather in her eyes, but she refused to let them roll down.

Not yet. It’s not yet time for her to cry.

She’ll wait. For sure, that person will come.

“Yukirin!”

Yuki quickly turned her head to the direction of that familiar voice, only to see her angel, her most loved angel running towards her with a hand waving up in the air. She couldn’t help but smile at the scene.

Her wait had finally paid off, didn’t it?

A hug greeted her as soon as the said angel came close to her, a hug which she couldn’t help but return just as tight.

She thanked the cold weather for this.

Hugging the girl before her was keeping her warm- and she knew that she wouldn’t release her for awhile just yet.

“Yukirin, I’m sorry. I’m really late, aren’t I? How long did you wait? I’m really sorry! Really!”

Yuki smiled even more as she shook her head softly. Really, this girl was just too adorable for her not to forgive.

“It’s fine, what kept you though?”

She tilted her head to the side as she lessened her grip on their hug, with her hands slowly falling down from the smaller girl’s shoulder down to her waist. As much as she didn’t want to pull apart from the girl, she had to.

Yuki could notice how some of the passerby were staring at them. But she didn’t mind. To see two girls hugging just a few minutes before Christmas does give off an odd aura, after all. If they hated a relationship that was supposed to be ‘forbidden’, then they can hate it.

She couldn’t care less.

“Well…” Her angel’s voice brought her attention back to her. “I wanted to get you a gift… But I ended up running around Shibuya aimlessly until I lost track of time…”

The guilt present in the girl’s voice made Yuki squeal inwardly,

“Silly, you don’t have to get me a present.”

“Then I won’t give you the present I came up with anymore…” The girl pouted.

“Eh?! I take it back!”

Yuki frowned as soon as she heard the girl chuckle. Was she fooling around with her? And after she waited for her for hours too…

“Yuki…”

The girl pulled out from their loose embrace, with her hands slowly running down on her arms as she looked at her seriously.

“When the time comes, will you marry me?”

Yuki’s eyes widened a little in surprise, but she immediately wiped it away with a smile as she leaned down to the younger girl, their lips meeting for a quick kiss.

“Of course. I would be more than happy to marry you, Mayu.”

Both of them smiled after the kiss.

People were staring at them like they were a disease, but they didn’t care. This was their Christmas, and they will, without a doubt, spend it as much as they want to.

The clock tower’s bell finally chimed,

And with their smile growing even more, Yuki rested her forehead on Mayu’s.

The two of them gave each other a quick peck once again before at the same time, muttering the words,

“Merry Christmas.”

Title: Short Shots Collection: Crying Shoulder (YuiRie) 12/30
Post by: itadakimasu on December 30, 2011, 10:30:07 AM
Because I'm freaking bored and haven't done my projects yet, here's a pointless OS with a weird pairing...

And no, it's not the continuation of the fics I wrote earlier.

:U Hurray underrated pairings!!

...I don't even know what I wrote.
Yes. I didn't re-read. :U

Crying Shoulder

With my arms wrapped around her tightly, I listened to her cry, like how I would listen to her talk about someone she liked happily, I listened to her mutter the words ‘I’m such an idiot’ repeatedly. Even though I wanted to cheer her up, I couldn’t. I didn’t know what to do. I was never capable of cheering someone up. I’m supposed to be someone who simply observes from the sideline. With that in mind, just how was I supposed to cheer her up?

All this time, I’ve been taking the role of a spectator, watching her fall in love with someone who wasn’t me; listen to her whenever she felt like telling me the things she and that person did. With a forced smile on my face, I’ve always been the one who simply keeps quiet and listen just to keep her happy. Yet, here she was, crying in my arms, seeking for comfort which I couldn’t properly give.

This was my first time to see her like this,

The person whom I loved the most,

Covered with her own tears,

Looking so vulnerable…

So fragile…

When I told her to confess to that person she liked, I actually said it for the sake that she would be happy. I knew that I wouldn’t be capable of making her smile like how that person did; I knew that I wasn’t as familiar with her as they both did with each other. And so, with that in mind, I thought that she would be happier if she confessed to her.

So why…?

Why did this happen?

“I got dumped”

When she said that to me while crying by my front door, my heart immediately shuttered into pieces… The first thing that came into my mind was how I was at fault for this.

I wanted her to be happy and yet,

I was actually the instrument for her sadness.

If I stayed away from her, if I kept my mouth shut, would she have been happier, I wonder?

“I’m sorry, Kitahara-san…” I repeated those words again as I rubbed her back gently with my palm. Even though at times, words can be cheap, it was the only thing I could do as of the moment. As much as I hated it, it was the best I could give.

As expected, she muttered a soft, “It’s not your fault.”

I was never the type to take advantage of someone, nor was I desperate enough to even take this chance just so I could steal her heart.

All this time, I kept my distance. Even though we were often grouped together in work, I would stay away from her as much as I can, instead of grouping up with her and Sashihara whenever Not Yet members gather together, I would simply stand there, at the side, just so she could have her time together with the person she loved alone.

But all those acts weren’t enough to spare my thoughts from her. Somehow, each time I close my eyes, I would see her smile because of a reason I came to simply accept- because of Sashihara.

With all my heart, I wanted to make her happy. That’s why I thought of giving up on her, to fully release her towards Sashihara just so they would be together. I encouraged her into confessing, I told her that everything would be alright, that Sashihara most likely loves her too. Without knowing what Sashihara actually thinks of her, I said it.

I didn’t expect for this to happen,

I thought that their feelings were mutual,

Even though the thought of seeing her smile because of someone else hurt me, I thought that it would be the best.

To see her cry like this because of my stupidity,

I’m really sorry.

I didn’t have much confidence to myself to be able to say that I could make her happy,

That’s why I decided to run away, give her in someone else’s care and simply watch from afar.

What a mistake it was to think of that.

I won’t do it again.

So please stop crying.

“Kitahara-san…”

Her tearstained face, though it looked beautiful on her, made my chest hurt.

“Come on, let it all out…”

I will make sure that this will be the last time she cries…

Even If after this, she would still choose to chase after Sashihara, and still love her despite being dumped…

This time, I’ll make sure that I will be the one to make her smile.

Just to make sure of her happiness, I’ll always stand right behind her.

Even if this means that I’ll just be her crying shoulder.

OMG I made Sasshi a bad guy! I tore RinoRie apart!

I hate myself! ; A ;

Title: Short Shots Collection: [[Currently untitled, someone help me.]] (RinoRie) 01/02
Post by: itadakimasu on January 01, 2012, 08:47:09 PM
This idea just came out of boredom. That's why I don't know the title. :U

Well anyway, this will have 3 parts, I think.

Please take this as my apology for breaking RinoRie on my post before this. m ( _  _ ) m

Part 1

Kitahara Rie, ever since she was a child, had always been a wimp and would often refuse to do things she found impossible to do without even trying. Thanks to that, she was hated by the kids in her school, which only made her even more ‘negative’ than how she already was.

Each day, there would always be a moment where she would think that she was the most negative kid in the world, and that she deserved being alone more. She would always mutter to herself how she didn’t need any friends- that she was ugly, a girl with no special talent in her, someone whose existence didn’t matter to the world at all.

She thought that she was the worst.

She thought that no one would ever be able to understand why she was like that, and so, because of that, she settled with being alone.

She slowly began to change though- and it’s all because of one simple accident.

--

Summer Vacation had just begun for Rie, which meant that she had no school to spend most of her time in. With that in mind, the girl had nothing to do but to laze around in the small house she and her only friends rented when they had graduated from high school.

Her said friends left early to watch some movie together, and they actually invited her along, but she decided to stay at home, telling them that she wanted to clean the house first before doing anything.

It was the truth. Rie could never take in the sight of an unorganized room for more than a second, and she believes that cleanliness is what matters the most in life. Call her a clean-o-holic if you wish, but there’s no stopping her once she’s decided to clean something.

She was starting to regret her decision though.

After cleaning the whole house alone, she had nothing else to do- and it was still one in that afternoon at that! She considered cheating away some of her time by sleeping, but for some reason, her mind was wide awake.

Letting a sigh leave her lips, Rie turned the TV which she continuously switched from one channel to another off, finally deciding that there was no use clicking the remote control’s next button anymore. She stood up from her couch and proceeded to the kitchen. Her stomach was complaining for some food- which she whole-heartedly forgot ever since she woke up.

Opening the refrigerator, the only thing Rie saw was an empty bottle of water, lying idly on one of the fridge’s compartment.

“That Oya… And I told her to tell me immediately if we run out of food too…”  She shut the fridge close angrily, and only then did she notice the piece of paper sticking on its door.

Dear beloved friend of ours named Kitahara Rie,
I’m really sorry! I forgot to tell you last night that Komorin and I had devoured everything in the fridge while playing some games! I know that you would be mad if I tell you this personally so I thought I’d just do this. Saves me from hearing you complain right~!? I’m such a genius, aren’t I?!

Oh, and Yuihan’s not innocent in this as well, she ate your last cup of pudding without knowing it.

Kitarie~ I hope you wouldn’t mind buying the foods for us? I left my credit card above the fridge, so you can use it!

For give us? ; A ;

P.S: Also, please buy the newest volume of One Piece. I beg you!!

-   Love, your most awesome buddies in the world, Oya, Komorin and Yuihan. It’s Oya who wrote this though! \(^o^)/

Tossing the poor innocent paper aside after reading it, Rie then reached out to the said credit card above the refrigerator, leaving her to wonder how Oya would pay for the things she would most likely want to buy for the rest of the day. But it wasn’t her business anyway so she brushed it off easily.

Normally, Rie would get mad at this- or even flip a table out of anger if she had to, but since she had nothing much to do anyway, she decided to spare the girls from her rage. At least she was given something to do, right?

After quickly changing out of her clothes and making sure that every window in the house was locked, Kitahara finally left the house, locking the door first before fully leaving to buy the things she listed down a minute ago.

The buying for foods part wasn’t much of a challenge to her, really, knowing that she was mostly the one in-charge of cooking inside the house anyway. What took her time the most was buying the new volume of One Piece- every single manga shops inside the city had the it sold-out already, so she was forced into going to Akihabara instead.

Knowing that she would look stupid if she goes there while carrying her groceries, she decided to drop back home first and shove everything in the refrigerator before venturing out again. All of this just for a single manga her friend wanted.

Barely escaping the packed train when she reached her stop, Rie couldn’t help but regret going to the normally-filled-with-people city and immediately wanted to return to her home, but then again, her efforts of going there would be left for naught if she did. As much as she hated it, she dragged her feet forward towards the most popular anime shop in the city, ‘Animate’.

On her way there, her phone suddenly vibrated from her pocket, forcing her to pull it out while walking around the crowded place. Reading the name on her phone’s screen, Rie couldn’t help but raise her brow up. What does she want now? she half-complained in her as she moved her thumb to the open button,

But before she could even press it, her phone was sent flying off of her grip, with her stumbling down followed by a feint crack in the background as soon as she hit the cemented ground.

Rubbing her now aching back, Rie angrily shot a glare at the person at fault for this- only to see that the girl was worriedly holding her hand out to her. She considered taking the offered hand to stand up at first, but then out of her sudden pride, she ignored it and stood up by herself.

“I-I’m really sorry, are you alright?” The girl before her asked with her brows meeting in the middle in a troubled manner. “I wasn’t looking in my way, I’m sorry.” She apologized again, bowing down this time.

“A-Ah, no, no, it’s alright. I wasn’t looking at the way myself.” For some reason, all of Rie’s pride and anger faded into thin air as soon as she saw how sincere the other girl was in apologizing. She smiled a little before gesturing the girl to stand straight.  And then it finally hit her, “My phone…” she looked around for awhile, a little bit worried that someone might have taken it away while she was busy trying to stand up earlier.

Thankfully, it was still there, on the ground.

Sadly, it was now broken into two.

“My phone! What- How…?” Rie couldn’t help but wonder how her phone was broken into two. It only fell down, didn’t it?

Noticing how Rie was quizzically staring at her now broken phone, the girl in green coughed awkwardly, “Um… About the… Phone….” Rie turned to her immediately, startling her a little. “I… I accidentally stepped on it.” She hurriedly clasped her hands together, slightly bowing down once again, “I’m sorry! Please forgive me! I’ll but you a new one right now! You’ll have to come with me so you can choose a unit though… which means that I’ll trouble you for awhile…”

Once again, instead of feeling angry at the girl, Rie felt sorry for her instead. Honestly, the way the girl furrowed her brows down and leaved her lips slightly open made her look like a lost puppy. Why she was looking at the girl’s lips in the first place, nobody knows. Not even her. “It’s alright. I think Oya has a spare phone with her…” Her friend’s pocket was like Doraemon’s, to be honest. Tell her you’re missing something, and after a few seconds, she’ll hand it to you! Quite convenient, yes… Except for the fact that it was completely useless when it comes to foods.

“No, no. I insist! My Mother told me once that if you’ve broken someone else’s belonging, then you have to repay it personally. So I will. And I’m not taking no as an answer.” Rie jumped up a little when the girl grabbed her hand, but the girl seemed to have ignored it as she began to walk forward, dragging her along. “I know a good store not far from here, so let’s go there instead.”

--

After possibly an hour of ‘this’ and ‘thats’, Rie and the girl had finally bought a phone in exchange of Rie’s broken one. The girl even went as far as buying a strap for it as well. Even though Rie kept on insisting that she didn’t have to.

Well at least it’s free, Rie thought innocently.

“I’m really sorry for everything…” The girl apologized for the nth time, which Rie oddly got used to already.

“Like I said, it’s alright. You already bought me a new phone. And a strap at that.”

“Still, I took some of your time as w-”

A stomach’s growl filled in.

“-ell…” The girl blinked repeatedly, her hand automatically resting itself in her own stomach. Okay, that wasn’t her. She shifted her eyes to Rie, only to see her shifting her eyes away.

“Sorry… I forgot I didn’t eat Breakfast and Lunch yet…”

“Eh… Were you on your way to go eat when I bumped into you?” The girl facepalmed hardly with a sigh, “I’m really sorry. I didn’t know… Umm…” She looked around hurriedly, ignoring Rie’s yet again puzzled look on her face, “Oh right! I know a great café here that serves good foods! It’s cheap at that. My treat as an apology for taking your time.”

Wasn’t the strap for that…? Rie was about to voice out that thought, but a song stopped her from doing so.

I want you~ I need you~ I love you~ atama no na-

“Sorry, it’s mine.” The girl muttered as she pulled out her phone and hurriedly answered it while slightly walking away from Rie, her back turned on the still puzzled girl.

Even though she could have left if she wanted to, Rie stood there with a blank look on her face, her eyes locked on the short haired girl answering her phone call. She took this chance to observe the girl’s appearance.

The girl was wearing short shorts for her lower, along with perfectly white knee socks and red shoes. She also had a backpack with her, which hung loosely on her back; she had a black T-Shirt on, with the words “Chicken Shit” below it. Rie wondered if the girl understood what it meant or not for a second, but as usual, decided to brush the thought off since it was none of her business.

Finally placing her phone back in her pocket again, the girl walked back to Rie. Once again, she had that troubled look on her face, “Umm... Even though I said that I’d treat you as an apology…”

“Hm?”

“I’m really sorry!” Rie felt like face palming after hearing those words again, “My friend just called. She said she needed my help on something; apparently it can’t wait so I have to go there immediately… I’m really sorry!” Suddenly grabbing the phone in Rie’s hands, the girl started typing down on it, handing it to her after awhile, “Here, I placed my email and number there. Text or call me when you’re free, alright? I really have to go now, I’m really sorry!” Bowing down once again, the girl turned on her heels and ran away, leaving behind a once again puzzled KitaRie.

After watching the girl’s figure disappear when she turned into a corner, Rie shifted her eyes down on the phone in her hand, flipping it open as she checked the contact list. “Sashihara Rino…” she read her name out loud before finally noticing something she had forgotten for a long time now.

“Ah crap! The One Piece manga!”

Title: Short Shots Collection: [[Currently still untitled~]] Part 2 (RinoRie) 01/03

I don't even know myself... xD

Part 2

While sitting down by the Kitchen’s counter, Oya couldn’t help but stare at her friend in worry. She’s been peeling the cabbage’s leaves for a long while now, and Oya was sure that she already peeled enough leaves needed for whatever she was planning to cook. Two plates were already filled with it, for crying out loud! And she wasn’t even done yet!

Finally unable to observe in silence any longer, Oya decided to break the silence within the kitchen, “KitaRie, you know… If you’re planning to make some vegetable salad, aside from Yui, no one’s going to eat that many cabbages…”

It seemed like talking was a success as Rie responded with a small jump and her hands halting half-way from peeling yet another poor leaf. She shifted her head to the cabbage-filled plates soon after. “Ah. Sorry, I spaced out, didn’t I?” She spoke after a short pause as she decided to spare the cabbage in her hand and tossed it back inside the fridge. She turned to the plates again, this time, her eyes widened. “I’ve peeled this much already?!”

“You just noticed?!” Oya was close so to slapping her own forehead, she really was, “You know if you’re still bothered about that other-Hara girl on your contact list, then why don’t you give it a try? Send her a mail or something. It’s better than just spacing out and thinking about it the whole day.”

Rie simply grunted as a reply.

She couldn’t really say ‘I’m not thinking about it!’ to Oya. She knew that the girl understood her best out of the other girls inside the house, which also meant that lying to her was useless. Sometimes, Rie hated how sharp Oya was.

“Kitahara-san should go and ask her out for lunch today.” Yui, who had just entered the Kitchen after a few minutes of eavesdropping, jumped in the conversation, her usual goofy yet lax smile visible on her face. “She did promise to treat you in that café she suggested, didn’t she? Why not use that as an excuse?”

Rie was starting to regret telling her friends what happened while she was away and why her phone was new. But they were just too nosy for her to resist! They wouldn’t stop asking her ‘Will you tell us now?’ ever since they saw the small gadget in her hand, so she eventually gave in and told them. And now they wouldn’t stop bugging her about it.

“Are you expecting me to just randomly send her a mail saying ‘Let’s eat lunch together!’ just like that? I’m not even that interested in eating in that café she suggested to begin with. It’s just a café with cheap foods.” Fully ignoring the cabbages she was preparing, Rie pulled out her phone and checked the new contact in the list. “I might as well delete this to make you all sto-”

Oya hurriedly grabbed the phone from Rie’s hand and began typing down on its keypad, cutting the girl from what she was about to say and leaving her there in shock. “And done!” she exclaimed as she pressed one last button on the phone, showing the screen to Rie soon after.

Mail sent

It took her awhile to finally take in what the message on the screen meant, but when it finally hit her, it was already too late. “Shiicha- Wha- Why would you do that?! What did you say?! You’re not making me look like a total idiot now, are you!?” she literally snapped, her hand reaching for the phone which was teasingly held up in the air away from her.

“Relax, relax! I only asked if she was free and if it was fine if you two would hang out in the afternoon.” Oya grinned playfully before placing her free hand on Rie’s forehead, pushing her away while the other girl continued on flailing her arms around. “It would be a waste if we don’t use Yui’s suggestion, ne~?” She shifted her head to Yui, slightly tilting her head in an innocent manner while Yui responded with a nod and a “Ne~?”

“Seriously you guys… Please stop shoving things on me.” Rie sighed in defeat. She dropped her hands back to her side soon after, now convinced that it was no use trying to steal her phone back from her tall friend

“Oh you’re just saying that now. I’m sure that soon, you’ll thank us for this.” Oya still had her grin on while the other two girls inside the kitchen were now staring at her in puzzlement. She shook her head disappointingly afterward with a sigh leaving her lips. “Come on you two, it’s weird, isn’t it?” It only made the two even more puzzled that they already were, “Alright, here’s the thing… This other-hara girl bumped and stepped on KitaRie’s phone by ‘accident’, right? So she normally bought her a new phone as an apology. We understand that. But what about the strap? And then she invites her to a café!? SHE LIKES YOU RI- Ah, the phone’s vibrating.”

Both Rie and Yui facepalmed in unison. Honestly, their friend’s short attention span never failed to amuse them. They both soon moved on each sides of Oya after noticing her gesture to them to come closer, immediately locking their eyes on the phone’s screen as soon as she showed it to them.

From: Sashihara Rino
Subject: RE: Are you free?

Eh? Today?

Sure! I’m free for the whole day! \(^ ^)/

I was in the middle of dying from boredom as well, you’re a life saver!  (^∇^) /

This afternoon, right? Let’s meet in the place where we bumped into each other!

--end—

“Well, it seems like you have no other choice but to go there now KitaRie. I mean, you’re not going to leave her there in Akihabara waiting for nothing, right?” Oya shut the phone close and handed it to the shorter girl with her usual mischievous smile on, “You can go ahead and change, leave the cooking and cleaning to Yui and I.”  she flashed a thumbs up before pushing the poor girl out of the kitchen, ordering her not to go back until she was done with her ‘date’.

Though somewhat annoyed for being pushed around and most of all, forced into meeting someone whom she just met, Rie gave in without saying any more complaints. She was thankful that the girl bought her a new phone, after all- even though it was her fault to begin with.

“I’ll get going then…?” Rie peeked into the Kitchen as soon as she had finished changing into something much suitable for outdoors. Seeing her three friends helping together just to make an edible food, Rie couldn’t help but smile, though it immediately faded away as soon as she noticed Komorin’s messy hair.

“Alright, take care, Kitahara-san.” It was Yui who responded first before the other two gave a nod and a lazy goodbye wave.

Nodding her head, Rie finally excused herself towards the front door, “I’ll buy something for dinner, so you don’t have to cook, alright?” she yelled to the trio before slipping in her boots and walking out of the house.

--

Rie couldn’t help but slap her hand on her forehead for the nth time of the day as she leaned her back on a lamppost not far from where her ‘meeting spot’ with the Sashihara girl was, her arms crossed across her chest while her feet continuously tapped itself on the ground impatiently.

Apparently, she came there earlier that the expected time they would meet up. Just for thirty minutes.

Or at least it was supposed to be.

“Could it be… She stood me up?” Rie sighed bitterly at the thought as she looked at the time in her phone. An hour has passed already ever since their assigned meeting time, and still, there were no hints of the girl anywhere. “I knew I shouldn’t have agreed to this… Meeting up with a stranger, really…” she sighed once again, with her head dropping down in disappointment at the same time.

Truth be told, Rie’s negativeness was starting to rise up as the seconds passes by. This was actually the reason why she would usually refuse meet-ups and hang-outs with other people (other than her friends, that is)- she was afraid of being stood up- she was afraid of looking like an idiot there, standing and waiting for nothing.

Even though she has been avoiding it for a long time now, the moment still came to her it seems.

“HEEEEEEEEEEEY!”

Hearing the familiar voice, Rie immediately turned her head up again, turning it to the side in search for the girl. A girl with a red beret waved her hand up from the other side of the road, immediately catching Rie’s attention. Rie responded by raising her hand up In the air as well- though unlike the other girl’s, she only lifted it up half-way, feeling somewhat embarrassed about waving in the public.

The girl’s already big grin grew even wider as soon as she noticed Rie respond on her wave, hurriedly crossing the street without even looking around to see if there were cars around. Thankfully, vehicles were rare in Akihabara. “Sorry, did I make you wait?” She half-yelled as she made her way to Rie, only stopping when she had reached a few feet away from the girl.

“Don’t mind it.” Rie shook her hand dismissively. Even though she was kind of irritated about it awhile ago, she decided to brush it off. It was her own fault for going there early after all. “So, what should we do first?” finally moving her back away from the lamppost, Rie smiled a little as she watched the girl pant from all of her running.

“Eh… Um… Well…” The girl took a deep breath in, finally halting herself from panting even more. She suddenly held her hand out to Rie soon after. “Before anything else, introductions… We never introduced ourselves to each other properly, did we?” for some reason, the girl looked troubled to Rie with her brows furrowed to the middle, “My name is Sashihara Rino, my last name is long, so feel free to call me by my nickname if you want, it’s Sasshi. Or if you prefer calling me by my first name, that’s fine too.”

Rie stared at her hand for awhile before reluctantly taking it, giving it a light shake when their hands locked together, “It’s fine, my name is somewhat long too. I’m Kitahara Rie by the way, though my friends call me Kitarie.”

“I see… So it’s Kitahara-san.”

“Mm, it’s a pleasure to finally know your name, Sashihara-san.”

“Like…wise…”

They both laughed awkwardly at the same time, their eyes shifting to the side at the same time as awkwardness began to fill in between them. There they were, introducing each other with their nicknames included, and yet, still ended up calling each other by their last names. Once again, Rie facepalmed inwardly… Little did she know that Sashihara actually did the same thing at, once again, the same time.

After what seemed to be forever, Rie finally decided to break the ice, “B-By the way, why were you late…?”

Silence…

Great, what a way to make things worst. If only they weren’t in the public, Rie swore that she would have literally high-fived her face by now. “You don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to.” She hurriedly added before the awkward atmosphere would get even heavier that it already was.

“Ah, no, it’s fine.” Sashihara sheepishly smiled while scratching the back of her had. She slowly shifted her eyes to the side afterward, “It’s just that… It took me forever to find my wallet from the piles of junk in my apartment.”

Kitahara Rie’s ears slightly twitched at what she just heard, “Could you repeat that?”

“No- Well- I live alone, so the apartment I live in is normally messy. It took me some time to find my wallet because of that”

It seems like they didn’t have to think of what to do now.

Looking up at Rie, Sashihara couldn’t help but wonder what the girl was up to. She was currently standing there in silence, fingers cupping her chin and eyes locked down on the ground. “Um… Kitahara-sa—”

“-If you don’t mind, can I go to your apartment and clean it?”

Though slightly taken aback from the sudden question, Sashihara tried to keep herself calm, her brows falling down in a puzzled manner as her jaw slightly dropped down. Her lips were forming a small ‘o’ at that, “Right… now..?”

“Right now.” For some odd reason, Rie had one of those determined look in her eyes, somehow scaring Sashihara a little.

Why would a stranger want to clean someone else’s house anyway? Well, maybe they’re not that much of strangers to each other anymore, but why clean the house of a person you just met? “I don’t get it.” Sashihara voiced out with her brows still deeply furrowed down. “Wait, wait, so you want to come to my house… Just to clean my mess?”

Rie lifted a brow up and simply nodded her head as though it was the most common thing in the world.

“I really don’t get it… Why would you want to clean it? I mean… Going all the way to my apartment just to clean… Eh?” As expected nothing seemed to make sense to her anymore. Sashihara took her red beret off of her head, scratching the top of her head as she tried to process whatever situation she currently is in right now.

“Eh? Isn’t that normal though? Wanting to clean a messy place, I mean…”

“If it’s your own mess, then maybe, but someone else’s…? Most of all, someone who you just met…? How can I be sure that you won’t do anything funny when you go to my apartment? You’re not planning to kill me, are you?” Sashihara narrowed her eyes at Rie suspiciously, only to have her head chopped lightly by the said girl. “Ow! Eh?!”

“We’re both girls, so there’s no way I’d do anything ‘funny’ on you! And most of all, why would I want to kill you?” Rie felt slightly offended at being accused strongly. She was offering to clean the girl’s apartment, and yet, this is what she gets?

“Well I guess you’re right…”

“Of course I’m right.”

A sigh of defeat left Sashihara’s lips. Even though she’d never taken anyone, not even her own parents, in her own apartment yet … “Alright. Let’s go there, then…? I guess it’s better than just standing here and arguing.”

Rie gave off a victorious smile in response. “Exactly.”

Sashihara sighed again,

How did this end up like this…? she thought as she turned around and reluctantly walked off towards her apartment’s direction.

I feel like turning this into one of those long-assed stories... xD But then again, I already have lots of fics on-going.

Should I?

or Should I not?

xDD

btw, I didn't re-read again, so if there are grammatical errors, please forgive me. >_<

I'm just a poor 'loli' with slow english!

Thank you for writing an interesting story with Sasshi as one of the main :w00t:

Fuuuuu...KitaRie was, erm, weird. It is one thing to have someone wanting to go over your apartment at first 'date', but wanting to clean it? I'd have run a mile immediately if I was Sasshi. But then again, I wouldn't mind having someone clean my *coughmessycough* crib

And yeah...update your other fics as well!

What? Cleaning a stranger's apartment? :? How odd would that be?

I feel like turning this into one of those long-assed stories... xD But then again, I already have lots of fics on-going.

Should I?

or Should I not?
Now I feel like pleading you to make this a 'long-assed' story. If you ask me, I would answer 'You Should.' :D

Title: Short Shots Collection: [[Those three Words]] (UmeMii)
Post by: itadakimasu on February 12, 2012, 11:21:07 PM
A/N: It doesn’t make sense, I swear

———-

Sitting down in front of her is a girl, a team mate whose expression would change each time she talks. For a second, she would smile, and then frown, or even pout if she has to. She was noisy all the time, being the one who talks the most out of the two of them and changing from one topic to another a little bit too fast for anyone to catch up.

Nonaka Misato didn’t mind though. She actually enjoyed having conversations with the shorter girl, and the fact that she would even make sound effects while telling a story made it even more interesting for her. There was just one thing that bothered her whenever they meet though.

“I like you!”

Umeda Ayaka says those three words a little bit too much.

“-And then, there was this time where Sayaka suddenl-”

“Ume-chan” The younger girl finally spoke after hours of listening in silence, “I have a question.” She said in her usual tone of voice. Making it hard for Umeda to guess whether it was going to be a serious one or something trivial, though knowing that it was Nonaka, the former one sounded much convincing.

A little bit hesitant, Umeda finally nodded her head and cleared her throat. “Sure… Sure, what is it?”

“Are you really serious…?” Nonaka trailed off as she locked her eyes onto the older girl’s, “Whenever you say those three words to me…”

A pause.

Umeda shifted her head to the side a little with her eyes casting down on the ground, making it clear that she was troubled at Nonaka’s question. Still, the younger girl didn’t plan on ruining it by saying “nevermind” or “you don’t have to answer”, because truth be told, she had always wanted to ask this question to the older girl. And now that she finally managed to voice it out, she didn’t want to turn back anymore.

It was weird, really. Normally, Nonaka didn’t put much thought about the things Umeda does to her. Sure, sometimes, it bothered her, but that was never enough for her to actually push the latter girl away. As time passed by, though, curiosity came to her. Up to the point where it was almost hard for her to respond Umeda’s “I like you” with her usual smile.

“I am…” Finally breaking the silence, Umeda turned her head back to Nonaka, immediately shifting her eyes away as soon as it met the other girl’s, “I am serious… Whenever I say that…”

“I see.” Nonaka muttered before pressing her lips into a thin line, hoping that it would at least hide her slowly widening smile. A chuckle escaped from her lips, however…

If that’s the case, then maybe hearing those three words again and again isn't as bad as it looks like after all.

Title: Short Shots Collection: (GekiWota) 3/31
Post by: itadakimasu on March 31, 2012, 02:28:47 PM
Because I feel random today... >_____<;;

Have you ever experienced having a Pencil shoved up to your nose? Well, I have. And for sure, it didn’t feel as enlightening as one would think. Hell, who in the world would think that it’s enlightening anyway? Name one person and I’ll give you a hormone as a reward.

That aside.

Ever since that experience of mine, I came to hate them. Pencils, I mean. I still use them, yes, but I leave the sharpening to Unagi. Every single time I see that sharp object… I just can’t help but cringe from the images of me getting stabbed by it in the past…

The culprit of this traumatic experience of mine? Gekikara. Who know calls herself Amakuchi for some weird reason. It’s not like I hate herself for it… I mean, it was my fault for being aggressive to her first, but still, after that very day, I can’t help myself from avoiding her every time I see her. As embarrassing as it is for me to admit, I’m actually afraid of her. Avoiding her has become close to impossible now though… Why?

Because ever since Yuko’s batch graduated from our school, Team Hormone became Rappapa’s underlings. Why didn’t she graduate along with them anyway? She was on the same batch as them, right?

Well, there’s no use in sulking about that anymore…

“Hey, can you open the door for me?” Knowing that someone was bound to be inside the room in front of me, I called out idly while trying to hold the packs of hormones in my arms still. Hearing my call, Akicha opened the door and helped me in carrying some of it.

As soon as I placed the hormones down, though, I felt like slapping myself.

“Wota, look!” Unagi happily gesture her hand towards the girl sitting down beside her. No, more like the terror sitting down beside her while wearing a seemingly innocent smile just to fool little girls. “Amakuchi-san wants to try eating Hormones with us! It seems like she’s never eaten something close to meat… It was a real surprise when she told us about that.”

Right… So she doesn’t eat meat, then why on earth is she with us!?

Like hell I can ask that out loud though…

“A-Ah, I see…”

“Well, preparation’s ready! Let’s start our feast, shall we?” Bungee, who was in-charge of setting our grill, called out from the center of the room and called us closer. Everyone complied silently, and to my surprise, Amakuchi followed in silence too, looking like a kid who was about to try a Ferris wheel for a first time.

As for me… Well…

This…

This will be my first time eating hormones unhappily…

.

Soon, all of us devoured all the hormones I bought, and with that, I concluded that my dilemma was about to end. Or at least that’s what I wished…

To my dismay, though, after school, she began following me.

At first, I thought that she was just going towards the same way as I am, but after arriving Akihabara and walking out of the train station, I was sure that she was stalking me. Hell, she would even stop walking whenever I would!

Unable to keep my curiosity to myself anymore, I turned to her. She greeted me with a puzzled look in response. “You… You’re not following me… Are you?” I couldn’t think of a way that sounded less cruel than that.

But to my surprise, she nodded her head with a smile, “I am.” She said casually, as though it was the most common thing in the world! If only I could, I would have high-fived my forehead already. “Is something wrong with that?” With her seemingly innocent smile on, she titled her head to the side.

Well of course something is wrong with that!

You, who evilly poked my nose with a pencil, are stalking me! The poor victim! What is NOT wrong about that?!

“Ah… No… Nothing’s wrong…” But then again, it’s not like I can say that out loud.

Sighing to myself, I turned back to the direction I was heading and continued on walking. If she wants to follow me then fine, I’m not going to miss the special performance in the maid café I usually go to just because of her.

“It sure is crowded here…” She said as she finally managed to walk by my side, her eyes scanning everywhere around us. Is this her first time coming here?

Sighing once again, I reluctantly nodded my head and gave her a reply, “Yep… It is, that’s why you better try your best not to get lost. Akihabara is a big place, so if you’re not that familiar about it, you’re bound to take forever to find the train station again… Believe me, I’ve experienced that…”

“Ah… That sure sounds tough…”

“Mhmm…”

… Wait, why am I even talking with her so casually like this?

“So where are we heading?”

The fact that she slightly moved closer to me gave me chills down to my spine. Just imagine, the scariest Yankee, walking with only a few inches away from you…

Wait. WE?

“I’m… heading to a maid café right now…” I hastened my pace a little and so did she.

“Can I go with you?”

Hearing that, I immediately halted on my tracks, slowly turning my head towards her only to see her innocent smile on her face once again. Damn that smile.

“Sure…?”

“Thank you!”

Once again, I felt like shivering upon hearing those words. Why on earth is she acting so friendly right now of all times..? Is this her way of torturing me? Ah. She must have known that I’m afraid of her, and now she’s trying to kill me emotionally by doing this… I must say, she’s one evil girl alright…

Finally, both of us arrived at the maid café. And again, she looked like she was an excited little kid.

“Welcome!”

I could almost feel my face turning to red as soon as I heard her let out an ‘Ooh’ as soon as the maid greeted us. She really is acting like a kid…

Not wanting to catch anymore attention than that, I hurriedly told the said maid to bring us to a table for two.

After both of us settled down on our seats, the maid asked for us what we would like to order, and in an instant, Gekikara’s once cheerful smile slowly turned into a frown. Is something the matter, I wonder?

“We’ll take our orders later.” I smiled at the maid a little. Returning a smile to me as well, she finally walked away, leaving me alone with the now clearly troubled queen. Sighing to myself for the nth time of the day, I decided to once again strike a conversation, “Is something the matter, Gek- Amakuchi-san…?”

She slowly lifted her head up and looked at me for a second before shifting her eyes away again, with her frown growing a little. “You see… I…”

“You…?”

“I have no money for me to take orders…”

Ah…

Then what do you usually do to buy food? Beat the crap out of the restaurant’s manager?

…No- Wait- Be friendly, Wota!

“A-Ah, then… I’ll pay for you… Just for now…”

“Really?” Her face finally lightened up once again. A kid. She’s a kid in heart, I tell you! Though she still looks scary nonetheless…

“Un… Really…”

As though she heard that I would pay for Gekikara, the maid came to us once again, ready to take our orders. I was about to take mine, but before I could, Gekikara snatched the menu from my hand and began pointing at random foods in the list. Wait… That many?!

“Rice Omelet, please, and also some veggies and… Do you serve melon pan here?”

“Yes Ma’am.”

“Then that’s all.” Smiling at the maid as though she was an ordinary school girl, Gekikara handed the Menu back to her, and without even asking for what it is that I wanted to order or at least listening to what I was about to say, the maid walked away from us.

… My money…

“Wota…”

I slowly turned my head to her, unable to hide my frown in anymore.

“Thank you.”

Hearing her ‘sweet’ thank you once again, I smiled at her a little.

Title: Short Shots Collection: 10 ways to Confess. 2nd way (5/1)
Post by: itadakimasu on April 01, 2012, 06:39:00 PM
Why am I even updating when Jphip's still in the middle of this mind-raeping prank..? "orz

Weeks has passed since Sashihara last tried the things Yuko listed for her.

Actually, the next ‘way’ written on the list had to wait for awhile, as how Yuko wrote it. It had to be done in a specific day, in a specific time. And so, as much as the Wota hated to wait, she had to sit still and do nothing as her days were spent randomly.

And by randomly, it included with her creeping around the younger members on google plus, dancing along by the stands on the kouhaku event and of course, fool around with the other members.

But now,

Now wasn’t the time for that.

Looking down at the same piece of paper she once held on her first try when she ‘confessed’ to Yui, Sashihara cleared her throat,

2. December 25, 2011… At exactly 12 midnight, sing “All I want for Christmas is You” in front of Yui’s house. Take it as a form of serenading on her or something. If you do this perfectly, then without a doubt, you’ll succeed! You can thank me afterward. Good luck!

Her brows immediately furrowed down.

”All I want for Christmas is You”?

Like hell she would know an English song!

“I knew I should have read the next method again before coming here…” Sashihara muttered furiously as she scratched her head in frustration. She was standing in front of Yui’s house already for Christ’s sake! She had no time to go somewhere just to memorize the listed song. “Sashihara Rino, way to ruin your next chance…” She sighed.

She took a quick glance at her wristwatch just to see that it was already 11:58PM, making her facepalm and groan loudly at herself as she slowly crouched down on the ground.

Only two minutes left, and yet, she had no clue of what to do now.

Should she just head back home?

Act like nothing happen?

Or knock on the door anyway just to greet the girl Merry Christmas?

She doesn’t know anymore.

Sighing at herself for the nth time of the day pitifully, Sashihara stood up again. But before she could even stand straight, she heard a door creak not far from where she was. She slowly shifted her head up to the direction of the sound, only to see a certain Yokoyama Yui standing behind a half-opened door with a surprised look plastered on her face.

“Sashihara-senpai?”

The Wota frowned bitterly after hearing Yui’s all-too familiar voice calling out her name like that, but she lifted her hand up as a form of greeting nonetheless, with a broken smile slowly covering her frown, “Y-Yo, Yui.”

“Eh?” The younger girl slightly shifted her head to the side with a puzzled look on her face, making Sashihara even more nervous than she already was. “Senpai… What are you doing here? It’s already midnight…”

Hurriedly, Sashihara shoved the list inside her jacket’s pocket while scratching her cheek sheepishly with her free hand. Knowing that Yui wouldn’t believe her anyway if she were to say ‘Nothing’, the wota decided to tell the truth, “I… Well… I wanted to greet you Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas, Yui!” Well, okay, maybe that wasn’t the truth. Sure, she didn’t sing All I want for Christmas is You to the younger girl, but at least she still greeted her, right?

Noticing Yui’s puzzled stare at her, Sashihara furrowed her brows down. Did she do anything wrong?

“Um… Senpai… Christmas…”

“Hm…?”

“Christmas is already done.”

Ah.

Wait.

Done?

Those words were the only thing Sashihara could think of after hearing that. Christmas. Done. But how? Yuko was the one who suggested it!

“But… Wait… Right now, it’s 12 O’clock of December 25th, right?” She furrowed her brows down. There’s no way she could have made a mistake about the date! She even went as far as avoiding the younger girl from greeting her Merry Christmas for the whole day just for this!

Wait… Wait a minute…

“No um… It’s… Actually 12 O’clock of December 26th right now…”

Crap.

She misunderstood what Yuko wrote!

Of course it was already December 26th! She already spent December 25th avoiding the younger girl!

“I… Need to learn how to read and analyze more…” The poor Hetare could do nothing but mutter to herself in despair. What a failure. A stupid failure! Even a kid would have understood what Yuko wrote. Why didn’t she even realize that it was weird greeting the other Not Yet member Merry Christmas now when it was already done! “Urgh…”

Out of nowhere, she suddenly heard Yui laughing a little.

Lifting her head up to the girl, the first thing she saw was her ‘Kouhai’ actually covering her own mouth as she tried to hold her urge to laugh in. Was she laughing at her because of her failure? Well… That sure is heartless. The Wota frowned a little.

As though she noticed Sashihara’s frown, Yui immediately stopped, “S-Sorry, Senpai… It’s just that… I found it um… Amusing that you came all the way here just to do that.” Though her smile looked as though it was forced, Sashihara smiled back at her. At least she enjoyed it, right?

“A~ah~ You sure are heartless, Yuihan~” The older Not Yet member sing-sang, sighing out loudly before turning around, “I guess I’ll just go home now and sulk in my room for this stupid failure… I’m sorry for disturbing you in the middle of the night, Yui…” dropping her head down again, Sashihara was about to take a step forward when Yui’s voice stopped her.

“Eh? You’re going home? Alone? At this time?”

Turning back to her ‘Kouhai’, Sashihara lifted her brows up, “Un. Is something wrong with that?”

“Isn’t that dangerous?” For the nth time of her life, Sashihara saw Yui’s adorable worried expression again. She squealed inwardly at that, “If… You want; you can stay here for the night. It’s much better than going home like this, after all… And isn’t your house far from here?”

“An hour away, to be specific.”

“Exactly!” Widening the opening on her door, Yui then gestured her senpai to come in, adding on her usual carefree smile, “Come in, Senpai…”

Eh? Sashihara blinked repeatedly. “B-But wait, what about your Mother? Wouldn’t she get mad if I suddenly intrude?”

With her smile growing even more, Yui shook her head and walked closer to her senpai, grabbing her by her hand as she gently pulled her along. “Don’t worry, Mom went back to Kyoto to celebrate Christmas there, so I’m the only one at home right now. Actually, I’d be really happy if Sashihara-senpai stays for the night.”

Such bluntness! Sashihara thought to herself as she was being pulled towards the door. She actually considered pulling away and insisting that she goes home instead, but the thought of seeing Yui staying in the house alone for the rest of the night- day- stopped her from doing so. What if a thief suddenly appears? She doesn’t want her to get hurt now, would she?

“At least my visit here won’t be left for naught…” She muttered under her breath.

That’s right.

Even if she failed the task Yuko wrote on the paper, at least she gets to sleep-over in Yui’s home.

Actually, I think I like this turn of events Laughing to herself giddily, Sashihara gently squeezed the hand holding onto hers back, now voluntarily walking inside the door before her.

Also, thank you to those who read my ever so disastrous fics. m ( _ _ ) m

It felt strange. A few years back they were simply best friends who hung out with each other with every spare time they had. Despite being in different classes, they would meet up during lunch breaks just so they could eat together, and go to Akihabara on weekends just to visit the maid café Sashihara came to love so much. They would shout to each other Don’t miss me too much when they’re about to separate ways towards their home, feeling no such thing as embarrassment when it comes to showing everyone how much they cared for each other—as best friends.

But lately Kitahara found it hard to do the same thing again- not now…

Not when she finally understood what the tingling feeling in her stomach meant whenever she and Sashihara would tease each other or even hug.

She was a smart girl, she knew that she shouldn’t let something like this ruin their friendship.

But she couldn’t help it. She can’t help that her heart would start pounding like crazy ever since the day she finally convinced herself that she really was in love with her best friend, she can’t help that her stomach would start to feel funny whenever they were together and most of all, she can’t help that her imagination would go crazy whenever the younger girl would either hug her, hold her hand or place her arm over her shoulder even though they used to do the same thing for a long time now.

Love was funny-

No, it was turning her into a laughing stock, changing her in a mere snap just like that.

It’s not like she hated that she has such feelings to someone—moreover to a friend who she spent almost all of her life being together with. She was confused, yes, but she didn’t hate it. In fact, if ever she were to choose between hate or like, then she would rather choose like. That’s right… She liked the fact that she fell in love with her best friend. She herself couldn’t understand why, but she didn’t hate it. No, never.

After a few days of arguing of herself, she finally decided

Today, I’ll confess t o her…

Even though she wasn’t sure if her best friend liked her the same way, she thought that it would be best to finally be honest and tell the younger girl her feelings- or at least that’s what she thought.

As soon as lunch break came, the two of them met in their usual meeting place to eat- the school garden.

With her heart pounding wildly, her mind almost going blank and her hand uncontrollably beginning to sweat, Kitahara finally opened her mouth and nervously, looked at Sashihara in her eyes,

“U-Um… Sasshi, there’s actually something I’ve been meaning to tell you for awhile now…”

Sashihara knew that Kitahara liked her more than how a best friend would, and she was happy to know that. In fact, she actually liked her too,

But she also knew how relationships tend to shatter easier than friendships. Most of all she was a girl who seemed to be the epitome of uselessness, she was never cut for anything such as relationships. She had always been negative, she knew that she would get jealous easily if ever she and Kitahara were to fall into that status, she knew that everything wouldn’t be the same anymore if they were to start dating.

That’s why she decided,

If ever a time comes when Kitahara would come to her to confess, then she would find a way, a way to stop the girl mid-way without having to tell her that she was actually dumping her.

She knew that she was just running away, but this was the only thing she could think of.

And then that time did arrive,

With the two of them sitting by the school garden, ready to eat their lunch, Kitahara began to stammer uncharacteristically, her hand playing with the hem of the towel she used to wrap around her lunch box.

“U-Um… Sasshi, there’s actually something I’ve been meaning to tell you for awhile now…”

Knowing what Kitahara actually meant, the younger girl immediately thought of something,

“Actually, I do too.”

“R-Really?”

The way Kitahara looked up to her with hope filled in her eyes hurt her a little, but there was no helping it, this was for the two of them.

“I have someone I like”

It was both a lie and the truth. She did have someone she liked—and it was the girl sitting right beside her now. Yes, she liked Kitahara too without a doubt, but she knew that she shouldn’t give in to such a thing,

“Really…? Who, if you don’t mind me asking…”

Finally unlocking her eyes from Kitahara’s, Sashihara looked at the school from where they were and in an instant, saw one of her friends- Takajo Aki to be exact, pass by before them, completely clueless of her and Kitahara. Slowly placing her hand by her now aching chest after finally coming up with something in response to Kitahara’s question, Sashihara mustered up all the strength she had just so she could give her best friend one big fake grin, her eyes shut tightly at the same time to stop the tears that were beginning to form in her eyes,

“Akicha.”

Title: Short Shots Collection: (NanashiNantene) 9/02
Post by: itadakimasu on September 02, 2012, 04:29:08 PM
A quick lazy OS /o/

“You didn’t have to run after me you know… Now look at yourself! You’re all beaten up!” Nanashi exclaimed as she pressed some cotton on the wound near Nantene’s lips, with the girl shrieking in response as soon as the alcohol-coated cotton touched it.

Lifting her puppet, Sally, up, Nantene lightly pushed Nanashi’s hand away before in her usual fake and high-pitched voice, replied “That’s fine. It’s for a friend, after all!” she placed Sally down not a second after, showing the so-called nameless girl her cheeky-smile.

The said girl couldn’t help but sigh in response (though at the same time, a smile was spreading on her face).

“Nante ne~”

The smile on her face immediately disappeared. “Did you really have to add that?”

Nantene simply smiled innocently as a reply

--

Nanashi groaned inwardly as she slowly opened her eyes, the first thing she saw, however, was still the darkness as she had her own face buried on her pillow. Luckily, she could still breathe, she still lifted her head up in a hurry though as the thought of dying from suffocation immediately evaded her mind. She involuntarily shivered a second after, feeling the cold wind pass by her surprisingly sensitive skin.

“A dream huh…” She muttered before climbing down from her bed and turning around so she could wake her roommate up. Noticing that her bed was already empty, Nanashi heaved out a sigh. “She left again without waking me up, jeez…” she once again muttered to herself before heading off to team habu’s room, figuring that her said roommate was there already, probably eating some of the foods she had with Komimi.

“For a friend, eh…?” Nanashi unconsciously said to herself as she made her way towards habu’s room. The dream she had earlier was still floating around her head- it was, after all, something that really did happen after they both got beaten up by Mongoose’s cursed members. Even though days has already passed since then, Nantene’s words were still clear in her mind, especially that line. She immediately snapped back into reality, however, as soon as the cold wind once again brushed against her skin. “Cold!” she quickened her pace, hoping to warm herself up with the heater inside her team’s room.

To her dismay, though, the world seemed to be against her.

Or at least Daasu did.

“Nanashi, can you go get Paru and Peace?” she ordered her in an instant as soon as poor Nanashi walked inside the room, earning a puppy-like frown from the said girl in response, being the stone-hearted girl she was, Daasu simply brushed it off with a mere lift of her brows, “You can go take Nantene with you”

Nanashi frowned even more, nodding her head reluctantly soon after, knowing that it would be something like suicide if ever she says no to Daasu’s order. She wanted to ask why though. It was already normal for them not to see the two in the room anymore, especially Paru. So why would Daasu want the two of them in the room now? However, being the gutless girl she was, Nanashi ended up not asking, and instead, just waited for Nantene to stand up from her chair so they could go hunt for the two already.

“Thanks to you I got dragged into this too!” Nantene immediately said in her usual fake high-pitched voice with Sally covering her face, moving the said puppet’s mouth at the same time as soon as the two of them were away from the room.

“Wha-”

“Nante ne.” The short girl immediately added- this time, in her normal voice with a smirk on her face.

Nanashi couldn’t help but purse her lips into a frown in response, heaving out a sigh not long after before changing the topic, “Say, do you know why Daasu wants us to call Paru and Peace over?”

Lifting Sally up in front of her own face again, Nantene turned to Nanashi, and with a smirk on, said in her high-pitch voice, “She’s probably jealous!” her smirk grew wider, “Jealous because she wants Paru to her self! That’s why she wants her there! Daasu secretly loves Paru! Or maybe Peace!” she slightly moved Sally away afterward, now showing Nanashi the smile on her face, “Nante ne.”

Nanashi’s frown grew even more. Seriously, this girl was hard to deal with, especially with her always using that puppet every time. Sometimes, she can’t help but wonder how she can still stay friends with her.

Ah… That word again. Nanashi thought inwardly, halting on her tracks afterward as she locked her eyes on Nantene’s back. As though she noticed it, Nantene stopped too and turned around, her brows both lifted up.

“It’s for a friend, after all…” Nanashi felt her heart sink a little as she repeated that word, her mind once again clouded with that memory.

“Nanashi?”

Snapping out of her trance as soon as she heard Nantene’s- rather, Sally’s voice, Nanashi hurriedly turned to the shirt girl. “Oops, sorry about that, I kind of spaced out there.” She gave off a goofy smile before catching up beside her.

It was weird, how she felt something heavy on her chest every time she remembers Nantene saying that to her. Shouldn’t she be happy instead? That someone actually called her a friend. Most of all, it was Nantene who said it! The Nantene who said she loved her smile and the Nantene who ran in the middle of a fight just to help her.

Ah…

Maybe that’s it.

Maybe it’s because it was Nantene who said it that her chest felt tight each time.

“It’s cold today, isn’t it?” With the use of Sally again, Nantene spoke, but this time, she only lifted her puppet up a little before shivering.

Hearing none of Nantene’s trademark word, Nanashi nodded her head, rubbing her hands against her own arms as she only felt the wind get even colder after Nantene pointed it out. Noticing the short girl walk while breathing in her hands every now and then, Nanashi, once again, stopped walking. “Nantene, can you come over here for a second?”

“Hm?” Obeying her friend’s order, Nantene walked in front of her.

Nanashi immediately took the scarf around her shoulder off, “Here,” Holding both ends of the scarf; she began placing it around the short girl’s neck. “It’ll keep you warm.”

A little bit surprised, yet still thankful, Nantene slightly lifted her puppet up, “Won’t you get co-”

“It’s fine.” The so-called nameless girl immediately cut her off, smiling at her goofily again as she continued on wrapping the scarf around her, and even though she had already finished putting it on Nantene, she still held both ends of the cloth, “It’s for a friend, after all.”

“Nana-” feeling Nanashi tighten her grip against the scarf around her, Nantene immediately pressed her lips shut, her eyes still locked onto the other girl as she continued on looking up at her, puzzled.

The smile on Nanashi’s face slowly faded away by the second, and before she knew it-

“Sorry…”

-she began inching her face closer to Nantene’s.

Ah I never got to say this but I love your 10 Ways to Confess story and it's driving me mad that we're barely on 2 here but whatever y'know. = w= I find it funny that Sasshi is taking advice from Yuko, gonna get trolled obviously and not just by her since Yuihan likes to be a bit of a sadist, huh?

I wish there was more SasshiYui though Yuihan is more ghei for Kitarie irl but whatever man~ /O/
