That could kinda bad also for the another party of the traffic accident. They can accuse him for involuntary manslaughter now :)
-
well first he was drunk during the car accident, so perhaps he didn't see the car coming over or the driver didn't notice him walking across the street while drunk.
Anyhow I feel like he was stupid not to get treated.
-
For a minute there before reading the article, I thought it was rejection of treatment due to personal beliefs or something... But I guess this chap was way too inebriated to know just how a shape he was in after the accident... >_<
-
It would be nice to know what kind of accident it was.
-
Um........okay
-
He was drunk so I guess he didn't realise how bad a shape he was in, and from the doctor's point of view it's pretty hard to get something through someone's (cracked ) skull if they're drunk as hell. I wonder if he had children or was married.
-
If he was that drunk, shouldn't the hospital or the police have some kind of responsability?
-
yeah, i thought there was a rule where the hospital would be able to make decisions for the patient if the patient is otherwise incapable of making a sound decision, and if family couldn't be contacted to make decisions for the patient...
although it's possible the drunk dood felt he was ok and didn't want to pay for the hospital bill for being what he thought was a mild injury.

It happens fairly frequently - and patients can always choose to sign out AMA (unless insane). Hospitals aren't prisons after all.
