I guess TanaKame love for now as I try to put together another screwy story together :nervous
Chapter 1
The edge of the knife always gleams before it is used.
Reina pointed the knife to the drunken salaryman, in her eyes; she knew he had no shot. Although she never expected him to wet himself as he ran away from her. It was that kind of life.
Reina lived alone on the streets like a stray cat, it finds shelter where ever it is warm and gets scraps from the restaurants for her protection services. Her parents threw her away a day before their unfortunate death by hanging themselves. No one was willing to take care of the wild child so she took on the world with her trusty knife. Every day was cold, the few to give her have to hide their faces behind dark doors and leave out a take-out container. The kitty avoids all the strays and run to the top of the building with the only two utensils she owns and feeds herself.
Sometimes under all the food, she finds a bus ticket covered with plastic wrap and ventures to a location where she could find herself succeed: downtown. She boarded the bus with the people staring at her as she grasps onto the pole. To her right was the usual drunk man who would be coming home to his wife who would be setting up dinner for him. However his appetite was for Reina for the time being.
“I wish I had you as a wife.” He grinned as he started to rub her hip.
“And all you do is have me on my back and bitch at me when you don’t have food and beer ready for you?” His smiled widened as his hand over to her back side.
“Why you make it sound so bad? Don’t you want to have a family?” Reina looked away remembering the memories of her parents.
He made his move with his hand under her skirt and feeling her soft skin of her legs. Reina grew powerless remembering all the times her parents would give her great things despite their issues. Then, she felt the finger getting closer to her buttocks and inched away. Within a second, she kicked him in the shin and he fell down to his knees looking up at the kitty.
“Groping is bad for men like you, however I’ll give you a view that you will never forget.” Reina smiled as she put her foot across his throat while he concentrated looking at her underwear.
“So nice…” Reina looked toward his bottom half and put more pressure onto her throat.
“Perverted people make me sick.” She slammed her foot onto his crotch and saw him wince in pain.
“Ma’am, you have to get off the bus.” The driver pushed through the crowd and saw the guy rolled up into a ball.
“Take me to my stop, first.” Reina commanded while the bus driver kneeled down to look at the man.
“Sorry… we have to kick you off for injuring a passenger.” He looked up and instantly looked back down.
Reina walked off and kicked the bus before running away seeing the police coming toward the scene. She hid behind the tree for a few minutes before strolling away like nothing had happened. Reina was still a few blocks from downtown and she seemed to enjoy the atmosphere outside of the busy area. The cars were zooming by and the people looking around with their arms linked together.
Reina held back her tears as she wrapped her arms around her body looking for a place to stay for the night. She turned to find a café with elegant music on and walked in with everyone concentrating on the artist.
Kame… Kame….. Kame….. Kaaameee….
Reina swung around to hear the source of the noise and a nun was with her oolong tea was moving her head like a pendulum.
“What are you doing?” Reina asked the nun who was staring at the kitchen door.
“Kame… Kame…. Kame….. Kaaameee.” Reina took a seat and observed the weird nun.
“What are you doing?” Reina waiving her hand in front of her as she continued her head movements.
She watched the waitress drop off the biscuit in front of her and she smiled with her hands clapping with each other like she had won a prize. The nun looked up and shook the waitress’ hand.
“Five minutes, perfect.” The waitress looked at Reina.
“Two minutes, nun, you still can’t tell time by your method. Maybe you should get a watch.” She suggested.
“But, it will throw off my timing.” The nun smiled as Reina began to giggle at the joke.
The waitress left with a disapproving face with the nun opening up the biscuit and putting the halves on each side of the table. The nun carefully took a piece from each side and placed it in the middle to analyze the third smashed piece in the middle. Then, she takes the one on the left side and bites off the piece before doing the same with the right. She finally puts all three pieces together and drinks her tea.
Reina looked at the whole performance and snagged the middle piece to munch on. The nun offered the rest of her tea and started to move her head again.
“Nun, why did you do all of this?” Reina asked.
“The Kame always plays with its food before consumption.” She stated.
“What about eating foods that are small?” The nun smiled.
“I eat it because there are many more pieces to come.” Reina nodded hesitantly.
Reina looked away for a moment while the nun pushed everything toward the middle and placing a napkin on top of the tea cup.
“Well, nice seeing you, I mean, you can come with me, we are having a get together for the people.” The nun grinned at Reina.
“Okay, is there anything special I need to bring?” The nun shook her head.
“Just bring yourself and I will do the rest.” The kitty followed the nun out the door to the cold streets.

Chapter 2
Reina and the nun passed through all the people with no remorse who they took down but the nun discovered that being a religious figure helped her status but the people were always rude in her mind. The nun popped into the door and led the kitty into the bare, dark room.
“Is this where you live?” Reina asked as Eri tried to track the switch to the lights.
“No, I live in the room upstairs. The turtle lives in this space.” Eri looked toward the turtle nest and noticed it was not there.
The nun flipped the lights on with the turtle a foot away from the hole going outside to the pool. Reina trailed the turtle while the nun ran to the cabinet.
“Escaping turtle. ESCAPING turtle. ESCAPING TURTLE!!!!!” The nun ran to get a net and scooped up the turtle before it reached its freedom.
“Safe.” The nun breathed a sigh of relief with Reina picking up the turtle.
“Hmm, this turtle seems harmless.” Reina tilted her head forward to see the turtle’s face and it snapped its beak right in front of her.
“Never pick up the Kame, it will attack when it sees danger. However, it likes food like lettuce so feeding it is fine if you have a nice personality though I shall feed him today.” The nun grinned as she laid a pile of lettuce in front of the turtle and bowed to the animal.
Reina walked to the room left of the main room and flipped the lights to the image of laundry being hung out to dry, however it seemed that it was a lot more than usual. Reina turned to see the pile of dirty laundry on the floor and most were underwear. The kitty tiptoed around the dirty laundry and walked right into the nun.
“Laundry is never ending.” The nun smiled.
“I see but what’s with all the underwear all over the place?” Reina asked.
“Well… I am not great at doing laundry and most of the time; I just toss it here after bathing.” The nun nonchalantly grabbed the undergarments off the line.
“When do you usually wash it?” The nun stuck her finger up in the air as she counted from the last time she washed.
“Every two weeks.” Reina calmly smiled as she began to notice the smell of the water within the room.
“Sigh. I guess you need someone to help you out; maybe I can be of an assistance. I am Tanaka Reina.” The kitty extended her hand to the nun.
“I am Kamei Eri, the leader of this church. Many of my followers love the turtle although not many come here, so I guess I would take your help in consideration for money?” Reina looked away but knew money would not hurt but in her situation it would be bad in the eyes of the nun to take money.
“I won’t take money, I just need shelter.” Eri nodded.
“I see, would you also be interested in the way of the Kame?” Reina shook her head.
“Okay, but I must warn you that I have no hot water, so everything will be cold as ice.” The kitty knew it was something that she would be willing to give up but once in a while she could take an excursion out to the bathhouse.
“Thank you for the warning.” Reina walked into the laundry room and started on the first batch of the nun’s laundry.
The nun quickly ran up to her room and went to sleep with Reina laboring away on her clothing. The soap was overdue and just mixed with the smell. So, she walked outside to see a place that would sell soap but being close to midnight, the stores had closed hours before, and the best thing was to find someone willing to lend.
Reina stood outside the door observing the people walking by and a woman who looked about the same age bumped into her. The kitty was trying to hold her up with her breath smelling like alcohol she knew it would be a challenge just to keep her upright.
“Thank you, you seem drunk yourself.” She babbled.
“I think you may be but I am in the need of soap.” The drunken woman leaned in and confirmed her suspicion.
“Yes, you do because you smell stink.” Reina grabbed her collar and pushed her against the door.
“Sorry, geez you take things so personally and especially you are out here with the nun in bed.” Reina let go as the drunken woman straighten herself out.
“What do you know about here?” Reina’s voice changed as she grew curious.
The woman took a while to put her thoughts together while she leaned on the wall. She moved up towards Reina and whispered into her ear about something she knew.
“She was your classmate in school?” The woman nodded.
“Kamei was friendly with everyone but soon took an interest understanding her ways unique to everyone. Once she graduated, she moved into this house and invited us to listen to her sermons. However, the majority was uninterested but a few of us manage to grasp onto our own reflections.” The drunken woman explained.
“I see. But, onto my question do you have soap for laundry?” She giggled.
“She got ya to do laundry, nice, she is quite hopeless, so I’ll getcha your soap.” The drunken woman walked over to her house blocks away and handed her a box of laundry soap.
“Thank you.” Reina bowed as the woman wrapped her arms around the kitty.
“You are cute for a stinky woman; maybe you should visit me for some tea when you are not busy.” Reina peeled her arms off and walked away.
“Let me talk to Kamei about that, she may have something against it.” Reina bowed again before heading off.
“Okay, see ya later, Kamei will be loved.” She waived as she struggled to walk back into her house.
Reina briskly walk back in with the turtle by the door as it crawled out of the spacing. Reina kicked it back in and closed the door for the night as she went back to concentrate on the dirty laundry left behind.

Chapter 3
The next day Reina woke up on a flat bed with just a blanket over her, however she felt a pair of arms constricting her from behind. They were soft so she knew that it couldn’t be a man but she wasn’t going to take that chance. The kitty tried to pry one of the arms off but she felt it move up towards her chest. She looked behind her to see a crooked smile from the turtle.
“You’re so warm in the morning.” Eri whispered as she started her stranglehold of the kitty’s body.
“Get… off…” Reina roared back as Eri woke up from her slumber.
The turtle rolled off the bed and smirked at the half-waken kitty as she praised her for cleaning up her dirty laundry, however Eri was hiding something. Reina heard the incoherent praises until a pause stopped everything and Reina shot up to Eri’s frustration.
“Gomen, I forgot all about the bathroom.” Eri crumbled to the ground and bowed to her for every piece that was left in the bathroom.
Reina climbed the stairs up to the bathroom, swung open the door, and saw the articles of clothing everywhere. The kitty turned to gain some fresh air as the odor was unbearable. Eri crawled away from the stench with Reina the one holding her up.
“Why didn’t you take it down?” Reina spoke through her hand over her nose.
“I forgot.” The turtle grinned nervously.
Eri looked toward the turtle hole and noticed the turtle was creeping closer to its freedom. Eri ran down the stairs and dove for the turtle. The turtle curled itself up and the shell ricocheted off the wall to the front door as it spinned to its final resting place. The kitty was stuck inhaling the dirty laundry as she desperately tried to avoid the smell from going any further than the outside the door.
The turtle with everything in order hid her nose under the gown and pulled the clothing out to the hallway. Reina threw it downstairs near the laundry room as it ventured down and turned the whole house into a rancid pigpen. As Reina started to make her bubble starter, there was a knock at the door. Eri opened the door and the smell was pushed out and caught the visitor by surprise.
“Wooo Eri you sure have forgotten about cleaning lately.” She commented as she looked at the kitty in the room.
“Hey, are you the new maid?” She joked as Reina turned to find it was the drunken lady from last night.
“No, just a friend helping and by the way thanks for the soap.” Reina went back to cleaning as the visitor followed Eri to the church down the corridor from the laundry room.
Reina knew if she dumped all the clothing in, it would rid of the rancid smell but would overload the sink she was washing them in but she knew the best way and she dumped the soapy water over the clothing as a pre-soak. The smell became manageable while the kitty looked out with the corridor becoming lighted. After getting them off the washboard, she hanged them up on the wire by the window. She looked outside to take a breath of fresh air when a woman approached her.
“Kamei has a new friend. I am Takahashi Ai, I am a believer of the Kame but not of Kamei, get it?” Reina shook her head.
“Oh well, if Kamei didn’t tell you this but I am a daughter of a brewery and my friend Risa is a bread maker’s daughter. Both of us have a binding relationship in making our goods, which is great because many from out of town buy their beer and bread here.” Ai explained.
“Cool.” Reina mouthed to her.
“Kamei is a great person you know, she is caring and compassionate but a little off sometimes. As kids we used to play with her because she always lends herself to dress up. However, she is an orphan that no one took in except for the church and the church group was highly against them at first.” Ai began to notice the crowd around the window.
“Sorry I need to go open shop. I think Risa needs to do so too.” Ai looked inside to no other person in the room.
“Tell Kamei I said hi.” Ai wondered off to the shop a few doors down and let the first customers in.
Reina continued on her hanging of laundry as the two came from the church and started laughing with each other. The kitty washed her hands in the sink to rid of the soapy residue and walked up to Eri.
“Risa, here’s my new helper, Reina.” Risa extended her hand to shake the kitty’s damp hands.
“Sorry for being a rude person last night. Ai was excited for a new creation that we drank half the batch and roamed around town singing until we got lost.” Kamei and she laughed as Risa was in a sunny mood.
“Thank you for the soap.” Reina flashed a smile before Risa left the nun to open her shop.
“Risa and Ai are so cool; they have lots of fun without anyone being part of their group.” Eri mumbled to herself as Reina walked back to bed.
“I’m sorry to wake you up early but church calls when you are alive. I have mass in two hours.” Eri began to notice as she ran back to prepare for the mass.
Reina closed her eyes and ventured off to dreamland after the cleaning of the turtle’s underwear. She could rest at least for a while before mass and maybe a beneficial opportunity to seek a home to live in. Reina began to dream about everything that she wanted to happen here and Eri’s face popped up to wake her up. She went back to lay her head down on the this pillow and went through the same process.
However, the sleep was short lived with the roosters crowing and the sun beaming through the window.

Must be interesting enough to continue and the inclusion of some violence will come up soon
Chapter 4
Eri kept occupied with the occasional cleaning, which was every year when guests seem to visit out of nowhere but it seemed different. It wasn’t a soul that would be hard to change but maybe switching her out of her clothing would make her feel comfortable. The turtle was contemplating on how she should attack and it always seemed to work if she went under the sheets.
The nun got onto some material and pulled away from Reina who was half asleep. She turned over to find Eri laying out an outfit while she got some fresh clothes for her. However, Eri was holding the only thing that no one had ever taken away from her. With a crooked smile, Reina dove toward the turtle missing her by a few centimeters.
“Give that back!”
“I need to clean up and clothes are my duty to guests.”
“So, you take panties first?”
“No, silly, I would actually bathe you before taking any clothing away.”
Reina knew her stench was becoming unbearable to even her standards of hygiene. So, she rolled out of bed, holding her skirt down from any unintended exposure, and walked into the bathroom. The kitty knew how bad it was before with the damp clothing in there before but being in there without anything but her own clothing made her nervous.
She saw Eri right by the door with no other choice but to take a bath without any hot water. It wasn’t the first time she had to bare the lack of heat but the first time where she could take an opportunity without getting caught. The kitty first looked at the burnt charcoal as a reminder of previous baths before her and the water was frigid on cold days. The shower was the worst offender because it was straight from the source. However, Reina knew it was for the best interest.
Reina pulled off her blouse and slid it over to the nun who managed to pick it up with her feet. With only the skirt and bra protecting her from Eri seeing her nude for the first time, Reina ran to close the door to prevent any more revelations of her body. The kitty quickly slid off the skirt and pulled off the bra, leaving in a nice pile right by the door before walking over to the shower.
“Eri… you can get my clothes now.”
Eri walked into the bathroom with her eyes trying to not concentrate of Reina’s nude body but her curiosity forced the kitty to shield her body. Reina turned on the water and felt it hit her body in a long while. Eri stood by the door with Reina’s clothes in hand and watched her shower in the cold water. Kamei felt confident that maybe Reina would ask for help in cleaning her back and slowly inched toward her.
“The closer you get, the more I will be pissed off.”
The warning was the usual to not interfere with Reina but Eri took the scrubbing cloth and lathered up her back like a good friend would do. In spite what the consequences might be, Reina relaxed while Eri was at the reigns of the cloth and got everything scrubbed up. The turtle turned away toward the bath and noticed the fire starters in front of her.
Kamei was instant klutz when her grip of the rock slipped and slid toward the wall right by Reina. The kitty tried to slide it back with no avail. But, Reina turned to give it one more try and caught Eri off guard with her body fully nude and she managed to get the next spark to start the fire. Reina knew that she had made the mistake of exposing her body but it was someone who could be beneficial later.
“Sorry.”
“Don’t worry, I rather you see them than a non-honest gentleman.”
Eri flashed a smile and left Reina to complete her bath with the water slowly heating up. Reina felt comfortable after Eri left as she was in a permanent home for the first time. It was a blissful feeling that someone was watching her without trying to change her. The water soon became warmer with the sun heating the cold stones from the window. She stepped inside to the bath and sat there for a while thinking about Eri.
After a few minutes, she snapped out of her trance and saw the towel at the end of the bath to wipe up. The kitty dried quickly with the absorbent towel and observed that she had no clean clothes to change into. At the moment she was ready to catch the turtle’s attention, Eri dropped off a shirt that was a size too small and pants slightly wider than her hips. In addition to no undergarments, Reina was more exposed than she would thought as she got everything on her.
“Do you have clothes that might fit me more snuggly?”
Eri knew where the clothes were but it would be difficult to let her choose without risking washing the clothes again. So, she tossed smaller pants to her and she slipped them on perfectly contouring to her lower half. The turtle piled the dirty clothes to the side while Reina ventured down the stairs with her midsection showing.
Even with the midsection showing, Eri couldn’t help but admire Reina’s body, and to learn about her from all points of view. Eri threw everything into the sink with clean water to let it soak for the time being. Kamei knew that she had to visit the townspeople as a guest of the church. However, the more aggressive ways Eri tried to understand her; Reina seemed to block her out. It scared both of them the most as being the only two co-existing each other without any other reactions.
Reina led the way out to continue her visit of the townspeople and to find undergarments for her before anyone can take an assumption that she hated: Slut. She knew everyone that called her that since high school and it didn’t change anything for her own success, However, this was her opportunity to shut them out and include them to her family.

I'm not planning a pervy part to this fic as the intention will kinda shy away from personal contact between them two.
Reina and Eri are such a unique couple that I tend to write more often about them rather than TakaGaki in general although as supplementary characters, it is worth a look into
Chapter 5
The townspeople were open to everyone even if it wasn’t the case with the mayor and his wife to call them poor, insecure idiots. The people were friendly regardless of the mayor’s view; Ai and Risa were the model citizens that carried their pride on their sleeves. Reina walked out to the crisp morning sights of the town, which the people opened their shops inviting the customers to pick out their fine products. Kamei kept her reserved self behind the kitty as they explored the town.
Ai and Risa shops were next to each other and a grocery store anchored the side with friendly smiles of a young family. Parents were each stocking the shelves as their juvenile daughter managed the cash register. The people liked their selection because it was from the farmer’s garden that supported them throughout the generations. It was family-oriented until the day the new mayor was brought in.
He was a young stud that wanted to make the town the center of attention to all his friends; however the plan failed as quickly as he thought about it with the opposition of many of the older townspeople. He decided to scrap the plan and move onto his next step of marriage to a young lady with wealth in her family. That caused frustration to everyone because the woman had power within the city through marriage. She was instrumental in ruining the relationships with the working people by thinking of big buildings and businesses. It also fell through after the plan was a pipe dream for the few who had money.
Therefore, they were public enemy number one and two within the town’s limits. Meanwhile, they bought out a building outside of town to make an orphanage. That was the idea that made the town boom with the orphanage bringing in kids to support their ways after death. Many were orphans who became stuck in the town, flourished by acknowledging their place outside the family. But, Eri was not an orphan who could enjoy all this pleasure and was stuck in learning religion.
That made Eri an outsider to the people as they saw her as a preacher but that was further from the truth as she played with the children on a daily basis. It wasn’t until they graduated from high school that they decided to distance themselves. Ai and Risa had become Eri’s supporters after everyone had left her alone and thus could let her flourish in managing the church.
Kamei never made eye contact to the people as a nun to the church but Reina taunted them with her attitude and it worked for a bit until they got to the brewery. The men were grouchy with Ai as she was stubborn in setting the hours to tap the liquor for them. But, it was one place Kamei was the center of attention and the nun was uncomfortable walking in with Reina.
“Hey, welcome to the bar, I guess.”
Ai looked over at Eri and waived to get her attention. The woman looked up at her clock and looked back down as the men became restless over Ai’s stubborn rules. However the men were concentrating on the new woman as the clothing was awkward in the setting.
“Thanks, is there a reason to open this early if you don’t serve alcohol until later?”
Ai slid the two coffees and offered them a seat at the bar while the old men stared at Reina.
“This is the only reason. The drunkards get their coffee and work for a while before coming back for alcohol. Lazy to work and all day to drink creates drunkards.”
One of the men stood up.
“Ai-chan, your father knew that we can’t work without the special elixir.”
“Unfortunately, you guys were secretive that he didn’t know that you were perverted.”
The old men laugh at the joke as they headed for the exit. Ai went into cleaning mode leaving the two to quietly sip their coffee. Few minutes later, a man came in with a suit on and took a seat at the end of the bar. Ai poured him a cup and left him with his thoughts.
“Who is that person? Is that the mayor?”
Eri shook her head.
“That’s the mayor’s assistant, he likes listening to the people’s problems as he reports them to his boss but we like him because he tends to not boss us around.”
Reina took another sip of her coffee as she observed the man’s behavior. He was looking through his shuffled papers with a dark shadow around his eyes and yawned a few times to indicate his lack of sleep. The kitty went back to her coffee as soon as he turned towards her. The man stood up and took a seat by Reina as Ai was preparing another batch of coffee.
“Hello, my name is Shota, I am pleased to introduce you to our town.”
He extended his hand out to the kitty to shake her hand but Reina was not in the mood. He called Ai to order toast for him as his breakfast was usually light because of the massive amount of work he had in his office. Despite his attempt to introduce himself, Reina was more interested in the others rather than the mayor’s assistant.
“Shota is quite cute, you know.”
Ai dropped off the pot and offered a wink to Reina.
“So, we can go on a date?”
Ai shook her head as she offered Reina as a substitute for her.
“Let’s stay as acquaintances for now.”
Shota saw his toast in front of him and buttered it up as usual but his technique was unique with the breaking of the toast and buttering it before dipping it into the coffee. Reina turned away to hide her disgust with his method but Eri was finished and left a tip for Ai. Eri walked out onto the streets being patient with her new friend but Reina was too concentrated that she was drinking cold coffee.
“I’m sorry we couldn’t speak more, I will catch up when we meet again.”
Reina left her tip with whatever she had and walked over to the bread store with Eri.

Why does it seem it gets more out of whack when I write this damn story? Anyways I am gonna to love more interactions later when I settle down the story more
Chapter 6
Niigaki Risa was compassionate when it came with Eri, despite being the same age, she took on an older sibling approach in introducing her to the townspeople. She forced Ai to be friends with the turtle, even if she felt jealous at first for the amount of time they were spending together. But, it worked out with everyone because Eri made everyone laugh with her unwitty personality and it was because Risa took her out of the shadows of the church.
Unfortunately, she also had very little time to be outside of the bakery, which was a blessing that Risa gave her a chance to reveal herself to the world. She preferred closing early for drinking, which Reina had discovered with Ai, her drinking partner, but she never ventured the town because of the sticky situations she had gotten into before. That was between Shota and her as Risa was weirdly attracted to Shota when drunk. Sober Risa only likes Ai, although the mystery was for the drinking alcohol…
“Ohayou~” Risa yelled out as she stood behind the counter with a white apron on and her hair tied back.
“Ohayou, Gaki-san, you look rather cute today.”
Eri’s compliments always lifted the bean, even though it may seem rather weird from Reina’s point of view. Reina looked toward the back for the selections of bread and it was down to the beer breads, which many get later on for late night consumption with their select drink. However, the kitty felt her stomach growled and crouched down to see the sandwiches on display.
“Excuse me, do you want a sandwich?”
Reina looked up and tried to not look like she hadn’t eaten for a couple of days but it was useless as she screamed out yes to her. Eri brought her over to the table waiting for the sandwich from Risa and they saw a woman with long black hair and brown eyes, taking out her tomato and leaving it to the side with a bottle of water. She took a first bite and looked at the duo before pulling it away from her mouth as she chewed carefully.
Eri turned her head away leaving the kitty exposed to her eyes staring at her. Before she tried to cover her face, the woman laid her sandwich down, and walked over slowly like she was eyeing the pray. She looked over at Eri first, who flashed a smile, before tracking down Reina and squatting next to her. Reina swung her head back flashing a smile and the woman knew what she was up against.
“Hello, are you that hungry that you would stare at my sandwich while I am eating?”
“No, it’s weird that you took out the tomato.”
“Well I preferred eating it as is, not like it cares for you church girl.”
Reina stood up and grabbed the woman by the collar and stared in her eyes as they were slowly fading into surrendering. Eri loosen up her fists and let the woman back to her sandwich. Reina felt her stomach growling waiting for her sandwich and the anger worked up in her wasn’t relieving any of the hunger pains. Risa came around the counter and placed the sandwich and water in front of the kitty.
“Go eat, I’ll wait until we get home for my lunch.”
Reina dove into her sandwich and swallowed the first bite instantly; it was filling to have real food in her stomach in a couple of days. The woman on the other table was still nibbling which bothered the kitty as she was lacking any formal skills at the moment. However, it was the food that would make Reina happy for the moment, keeping her attention away from the woman.
After four huge bites, she was left with the crusts and half the bottled water. It was filling for her as she glanced back at the woman still with half her sandwich left. Risa walked over to grab her plate and she clamped her wrist while keeping her contact on Reina.
“Who is she?”
“Eri’s friend, I guess.”
“That turtle has no friends.”
“Well you don’t have either; all you do here is making my customers horrible.”
“Is that right? Maybe I can buyout your lease for a shop worth my time.”
Risa froze as the threat was credible from their fathers being business partners. Risa knew what it meant for her father to have a shop where they could have domestic bread cheap rather than import it from the city bakeries. The bean shook off her grip and walked back behind the counter with the sense of disfavor.
Reina was angered by her actions and wanted to punch her face enough that she could see her instead of herself but Eri shook her head as a warning. The woman threw her plate onto the ground and walked up to the pair on the table.
“You there, if you want clothing, better follow me because the turtle can’t dress you.”
“At least she gave me clothes so I could look better than you right now.”
“Hmph, I guess ugly clothing matches your attitude, well good luck.”
She walked out with authority as any person would do after a tasteless remark. Risa walked from behind the counter and winked at Eri as a sort of congratulations to her. The kitty was now confused about the gesture but just left it up to someone to explain.
“That’s really nice that you stood up to her, she is one of the biggest investors in town.”
“Oh really, I guess she has let everything go for her own needs, eh?”
There was a moment of silence as Reina was digging herself into a hole of oblivion.
“What Eri is trying to say is that, we need her to survive, she isn’t particularly nice except to herself but she has been going against the mayor to keep it this way. However, she has been planning to remodel the town to his liking because the son has a crush on her, which irritates her the most.”
The story was a spiral that would make news anywhere except here but Reina knew that she can’t let anyone get on her bad side. It was scary that she gets angry but beyond that phase, Reina would be uncontrollable. The kitty took a deep breath and helped Risa picked up the plate and the food. Kamei was neutral in the situation even though she believed in the woman.
Eri looked on as she saw the other shops picking business as usual and walked out leaving Risa the bill nad tip for both of them. She walked over to the dumpling shop where a tall woman was furiously making the dough, filling it up, and throwing them into the contraption with hot oil cooking them up. Reina watched each step as she talked to her customers and her partner taking care of the money with their fast food.
“Want dumplings?”
Eri tilted her head as they drew closer to the line.
-
That mean girl was SAYU wasnt it? Im soooo sure im right, Only nice to herself, Long black hair, Poisonous Tongue its screaming Sayumi to me.

^ good guess
Chapter 7
The two workers at the dumplings stand were two Chinese nationals who went on a wayward trip to Japan for research and ended up staying to promote their culture to the town. They were only known as Jun and Lin, which was to their liking as they never have any paper work to stay within Japan’s borders for any period of time. With being here illegally, they had to make use of the very little money they had.
Both had odd jobs until a familiar black-haired lady came up to them asking about their food background, which they had some experience, but very limited to sweet and savory dumplings. In any case, they had an agreement and went off to look for ingredients. On their way to the shop, there was an unusual discovery between the Jun and the black-haired lady. It was a relationship between comparable personalities and a language barrier that the black-haired lady could expose for her own good.
However, the catch was Lin, who disliked the lady, could find a way to break off deals that could ground them. That sort of promotion of doing business only drove the lady to go for Jun more and tear Lin apart from Jun. The only problem was the lady wasn’t going to stoop that low to work with her leaving Jun to work by herself cooking and handling money. Therefore, the black-haired woman would hang around pulling Jun off the fryer every so often.
~~~
“KAME! Long time no see.”
The turtle walked up and hugged Lin as they were longtime friends that never see each other.
“Lin, this is a newcomer to the town, her name is Reina.”
The kitty extended her hand and felt something oily rubbed onto her hand as she shook her hand.
“I guess you want the usual?”
Kamei extended four fingers for her order, two more than the usual, she would order. Problem was she didn’t know Reina would eat two of the best dumplings in the world according to the turtle’s opinion. Lin dropped two in the bag and handed the two small, white bags over to the turtle. They walked over to the other side away from the fryer and both bit into the hot food.
“How is it?”
“It’s hot but it is warm like soup.”
Kamei smiled at the kitty but her smile short-lived as she saw the black-haired woman again.
Eri knew that she was the problem for this business to stay afloat and if she could pry herself between them, she would do so but she saw a bag slid past Jun. Before Kamei could take a step toward the woman, Reina took the initiative, and tried to get closer to her.
“Wait.”
“What! She is becoming a thorn to everyone.”
As Reina approached her, Eri grabbed her and swung her around preventing eye contact from the woman. But, it was too late and she came closer to the duo.
“Does the child want to face me?”
“I am not a child, maybe you should stop interfering with the people.”
Eri dragged her off while the woman kept following her until they reached the grocery store. The woman grabbed the back of her gown and pulled her back to the woman.
“Kamei, wait, I’m not the bad person everyone made me to be, why do you act like them?”
Eri let Reina go but she stood there looking at her with her eyes driving into the woman’s shield.
“Sayu…”
Kamei paused as Reina walked up to her.
“Stop acting like a bitch, first of all, second, why did you make such a fuss with every one?”
Eri stepped in front of Sayu before she could get a reply from her.
“She is helping us with her father’s money although I might assume she knows more than us why, correct?”
Sayu nodded as she directed Eri and Reina to the church for a private conversation. Eri opened the door to the turtle looking up at her with its beady eyes. She picked up the turtle and took it over to the side towards its feeding station.
“Kamei knows my uncle has been the mayor, so she knows why I tend to act weirdly around everyone. Only she knows because I have confided in her. The money was left in by possession by law after his accident.”
Kamei nodded as Reina looked at both of them in confusion.
“The mayor knows my weakness so everyone has been helping me.”
Reina tilted her head as Sayu smiled.
“Risa never liked Sayu but she appreciated her money when times were hard. Don’t look down that she doesn’t like work, she has been in the background working on how to protect the town.”
Reina smirked as she went into her room leaving the two in the front area. The kitty placed her head on the pillow closing her eyes for a nap.
-
She woke up with Eri sitting by her caressing her thighs with her half-eaten dumpling in front of her. Reina forgot all about the dumpling when she ran into Sayu. Despite her hunger pains, she wrapped it up and threw into the trash can before lying back down on the bed again. Kamei smiled and left her to continue on with her other business.
It was plain looking around the room as it was meant to keep visitors who come into town without any relatives within the surrounding area. Compared to the other parts, it was quite clean like a hotel room, which she was familiar with living in the city as a homeless woman. Although, she remembered that home was hell opposed to the streets and that made her stronger as a woman.
Reina was deep into her daydream with Eri walking out into the town with its shops closing down and heading towards her way for weekly mass. It was rare for many to observe the nun’s services as she was not well-respected as a pastor but it was the people who just came in for blessing because of the lack of others in the religion sector. She greeted them as they pass by her for church.
“Eri, who is the new girl?”
The shrilled voice of the grocer’s daughter thrilled Eri as she curiously went toward the front door of her living quarters than to the church. She slid pass the front door and saw the kitty staring up at the ceiling. Reina heard the footsteps and tilted her head over seeing her yards away from her waiving furiously.
“Hey… I wanted to introduce myself. I am Mitsui Aika; I am the grocer’s daughter who usually stays in front while they work behind me with the stock. I saw you walking around but you never came to say hi to me so I came to you to introduce myself.”
Reina was used to the long-winded introductions with her classmates and after she would throw the first eraser at them to get their annoyance going. However, she let her live with a wave and went back into her staring contest with the ceiling. Aika moved in closer, blocking the kitty’s eyesight with her chest and causing Reina to sit up with anger in her eyes.
“I was wondering if you were going to mass.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because I don’t want to.”
“Eri is good at giving sermons.”
“It doesn’t mean I will go.”
“Eri will condemn you if you stay here without going to one sermon.”
“She won’t care if I go or not, I will end up leaving if she does force me to go against my will.”
“Fine.”
Aika walked out the front door, slamming the door behind her as she was disappointed in the kitty for not attending. Reina lay back down again to recover her daydream but it was no use. She was back into the reality of her own demise and walked out to visit the brewery as a chance to escape the dungeon.
The kitty walked the dim streets to the only place that was open in town for all the people to gather for a drink. She stepped into a full house, mainly men, looking at her as she was an outcast. Ai was in a t-shirt and jeans as she took orders from the patrons. She gave her a special seat in the corner facing her as she filled a glass with ice. Reina was familiar with liquor as she took shots once in a while to loosen herself up for later interactions but she wasn’t in the mood and asked for water.
Reina curiously looked at the ice cubes as the shape was different from the usual bars she had gone to before and the heart-shaped cubes were cute to the kitty’s eyes. She took a sip as her eyes were fixed on Ai as she tended to other people. It was weird that her body was becoming weaker the longer she stared at her and had to look away to prevent her from making a fool of herself. Then, as she looked back, Risa was sitting next to her with a glass in hand with a tannish liquid in her cup.
“You drink?”
“Yeah, but just not in the mood.”
Risa patted her on the shoulder and let Ai pour a little of liquor to give the kitty a flavor of what was special to the town. Reina gulped down the watered down mixture and felt a blissful moment that traveled down into her stomach. Ai slid over soybeans for both to enjoy as she continued on with filling up the customers. Reina did not know of the effects but it was becoming obvious that she was staring at Ai more than she hoped to do in front of Risa. The bakery owner grinned as Reina was slowly being oblivious to the world.
“Ai has been great, you know?”
“Sorry, I don’t mean to stare at her. She seems rather attractive for a bartender. Does she get a lot of men to concentrate on her?”
Risa nodded.
“The outsiders are quite fond of her.”
“I guess she has been around the block many times.”
Risa’s smile turned into a grimace.
“She is not that type of woman. She has her standards and most of the time we hang around each other.”
Reina felt embarrassed throwing that out there and bowed toward Risa apologetically as Ai filled up Risa’s glass. Ai looked over at Reina and flashed a smile like nothing had ever happen but Risa was still holding her pose as Reina looked away.
“I was just curious, no need to jump on me for that.”
Risa loosened up and pat her on the head.
“True, I get offended easily if you talk bad about her; she isn’t like many people to fall in love easily. She even had a hard time to accept my heart when I talked to her about just sleeping together in a room.”
Reina hid her smile as she was a whore in many people’s eyes but for her own survival she took people’s money to get stuff on her own. It was something that was needed to be hidden while she was in town to build her appearance as a foreigner who stumbled into town. Reina looked toward the entrance and Sayu walked in with a loose strap dress and heels.
“Ai-chan, double shot, please.”
Sayu was clearly depressed with her head hung low and her eyes were red from crying. Risa walked away from the bar leaving her glass to go back home. Reina moved toward Sayu as she was left to comfort her with her drink coming towards her.
“You want to explain what happened.”
Sayu slowly nodded as she kicked back the drink and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.
“The mayor has figured out what I have been doing and cornered me. He… grabbed me hard.”
Reina saw the bruise of her arm like someone had grabbed her hard but it wasn’t until she had noticed the stretched out dress that she had a clue. The kitty wiped away her tears with the napkin and glanced at Ai as she deflected her attention to something else. Reina also some blood running down from her knee as she fell to ran over here for her protection.
Reina nodded to Ai as she was finished with her drink and dragged Sayu out of the bar. Kamei was passing by and saw Sayu hunched over with bruises and blood flowing from her knee. Both carried her to the medical center, which was usually dark unless if it was an emergency. Kamei rang the doorbell and the woman let the three in.
Yoshizawa Hitomi aka Yossie was the only doctor in the town and she usually dealt with injuries like Sayu on a weekly basis but she began to notice the injuries were more severe than what had been seen on the surface. Yossie chased the two out of the room as she was left alone with the doctor.
“What happened?”
Reina whispered to her ear her suspicion and Eri nodded to every word as she shook her head. The kitty knew how that felt like as it was a common thing. She felt something in her that she had the taste to kill whoever did that to Sayu but Kamei kept her calm with her eyes concentrating on Reina.
After fifteen minutes, Yossie exited from the room and took both of them far away from the room.
“She will be fine for now; it seems the injuries may cause a lot more problems mentally than physically.”
Reina was hearing that message continually: I got to kill him. But, it was no use as Yossie held out her hand calmly like a father.
“You will not do anything, understand me, you are new here, and if you plan on doing something stupid leave town now.”
Reina took the doctor's warning and left with Eri as her mind was going out of control thinking about revenge.
-
Chapter 9
Yossie’s warning rang through Reina’s head with an annoying tempo and it only kept her blood boiling to try to find the mayor. However, Eri was by the kitty’s side attempting to soothe the thought out of her mind and she hoped it was sooner than later. It was late night at about midnight with the drunkards roaming the town with little care of their own health and the only people with no buzz was the nun and the kitty. Reina felt a pain in her stomach and ran up to the bathroom to exit out her frustrations.
“Reina… can I get you something?”
Eri heard no response and asked if she needed something. After a few moments, she pushed the door open seeing the kitty on the floor with her face into her hands.
“Don’t cry… You couldn’t do anything to save her.”
Reina lifted her head with tears rolling from her eyes as she felt her anger flare from her.
“I can’t help it, even if I hate the person, she doesn’t deserve anything like that.”
“No one should ever feel broken, but revenge is worst.”
Reina nodded.
“I know how Sayu feels, reason why I wanted to charge him and give him the feeling of pain for all he has controlled over the years.”
Eri blanketed the kitty with her arms and comforted her for as long as possible, giving her enough strength to come back to bed. Kamei was surprised that it has happened to any of the townspeople and she instructed Reina to stay within the church as she ventured out to visit the victim at the medical center.
“Kamei-san, thank you for coming back to see Sayu. It may be a challenge for anyone to accept the faith at this time.”
Eri nodded her head as she peek her head in to see Sayu curled up under a white blanket facing the wall. She spent a few seconds mumbling a prayer before walking into the victim’s room. Yossie followed the nun into the room and closed the door behind her.
~~
Reina rolled out of bed and walked up to the bathroom to where she was before on the floor. She had to hide a discovery that was in the bathroom: A knife made from turtle shells. She never seen anything close to the type of material and experimented on a towel to see its effectiveness. The clean cut of the material made her happy and wrapped it with the split towel before leaving the church.
It was dimly lit on the streets with the lone street light and ventured out to the bar to look inside to seek her target but she got no sight of him. She calmly walked toward the other end of town and faced the two-storied house with the lone light on the top right. Reina hopped over the fence and hid behind the tree. She was aware that an alarm might have been tripped and anticipated for all the lights to go on. A few moments later, she took a couple steps toward the house and then a scream rang out from the house.
Reina hopped back over and ran toward the church as she was holding the knife in her hand. She felt the blade dug into her hand but luckily no blood and dropped the knife onto the side of the bed. She looked up to keep from her heart from pumping out of her chest. As soon as she felt calm, she turned over to close her eyes.
~~
“Are you okay?”
“I’ve felt better.”
Eri smiled as she caressed her head.
“Don’t worry; the divine Kame shall take down your tormentor.”
Yossie smacked Kamei on the head as she let out a giggle to entertain Sayu. Sayu kept her frown even though Eri was desperately trying to pep her up. Yossie heard a soft knock at the door and excused herself from the room. Both began to wonder what had happened and Eri crept closer hearing the whispers grow louder into her ears. Kamei couldn’t pick out the words and walked back to sit next to Sayu.
~~
Reina woke up again with the thought of what had happened at the house and many of the lights were turned back on with the people looking at the mayor’s house. She stood there seeing the people take out someone on a stretcher and rush them over to the medical center. She counted two being brought out and walked over to the grocery store seeing Aika in her pajamas.
“Do you know what happened, Reina?”
“No, I was… in the church sleeping.”
“Oh, I guess someone attacked the mayor, the mayor’s wife, or Shota. Hope they are alright.”
The mayor is a serious nutcase if he attacked his own wife or assistant.
“I hope so too, you better go to sleep.”
Aika waived good bye and walked back into her house as Reina stared at the house as the police were searching through the property. She decided that she needed to see Sayu as her curiosity of the people who were at the medical center other than her. In addition, she thought about the knife that she found in the bathroom to talk to Eri about the origin. Reina grabbed a coat by the bookshelf near the window and hid the knife in the pocket as she decided to walk over to visit Sayu.
The kitty got to the entrance and the doors were lock from the outside. She knocked to get the attention of someone but it was not effective that she pounded the door two times to get the turtle to open the door for her.
“Hai… Reina! What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to see Sayu, I was worried about here.”
“Yossie will not allow any more visitors so you lucked out.”
Reina lowered her head in disappointment but she knew that Kamei must have an answer to the knife she had brought along. The kitty unwrap the towel to present the knife to the turtle’s eyes, she looked at it closely, and shook her head disbelief about the weapon. Kamei held it up seeing the green and brown colors of the knife and stared in amazement of what was surprising to her eyes.
“Do you know what it is?”
“Yeah, but the story is shrouded in mystery as it was the tool that brought the Kameists together in the first place, which was a myth learned from generations before.”
Reina was surprised that Eri didn’t know more but maybe the research could be done for the origin through the dusty books Eri had inherited. Eri carefully wrapped it back up and gave it back to Reina. She instructed the kitty to return back to the church and not worry about her. It was easier said than done but it was enough to comfort Reina to walk back and try to sleep it off before the morning.
Im alittle confused.. I thought Reina went to go kill the Mayor but im just completely confused lol Maybe i read it to fast... I'll go back and reread maybe the next chapter can help me too !! ^.^
^ it would explain a reason why she didn't attack, also you gotta remember that she did hear a scream :nervous
Chapter 10
Eri came back before the sun rose over the horizon finding Reina looking up at the ceiling with her body stiff pondering over the events of last night. She sat by the kitty and rubbed her thighs slowly with the concentration of police were at the mayor’s house.
“Is everyone alright?”
“I delivered a prayer for all the hurt and left for the night.”
“I see. Is Sayu okay? I mean it hurts when someone attacks you so I just wanted to talk to her.”
“Well, she didn’t have anything noticeable.”
Reina shook her head.
“Emotionally she’s hurt, I felt that pain before as a victim, that’s why touching me is such a raw emotion, I can never explain how much it stings every time someone touches me.”
“I never knew that, I’m sorry.”
Eri sat there stunned in Reina’s feelings but the doctor was quite strict with her patients and she had to obey her by the power she possessed. But, she was given free access to the patients as a source of hope for all of them and she had heard that the mayor and his wife were patients. From an undetermined source, Eri knew the injuries could have been serious but the pace was normal for a patient within the medical center.
Reina rolled out of bed and looked toward the police at the house and felt something knot in her stomach. She felt that she needed to see Sayu to relief the angst in her. Reina walked out and headed toward the medical center, Eri followed her to stall her progress but it was no use, the kitty was at the front door waiting for the door to be opened.
“Reina, you cannot visit Sayu, she is under Yossie’s care.”
“I know but I cannot forgive myself if I don’t see her.”
“You can’t though; I have to stop you for doing so.”
Reina swung her arms away from Eri’s grasp and a loud pounding came with the kitty’s fists hitting the fragile door until Yossie came to see the ruckus. She opened the door to the kitty charging into the center and rushed into Sayu’s room. Reina stood there seeing Sayu with a scalpel in hand and her eyes tightening toward the kitty.
“Does it matter if I throw my money away to kill a bastard?”
Reina shook her head and stepped closer to Sayu watching the scalpel change hands.
“You shouldn’t, I wanted to do it for you. I would throw myself away for a long while but someone heard my prayers and did something to take him here.”
Sayu got up and pointed the blade towards her as she watched Yossie go over to her right side and Reina creeping closer to Sayu. Eri stood outside the door while the event was unraveling before her eyes and she stepped back to one of her nurses. She looked at the room and tried to gain the attention of the doctor.
“The mayor took a turn for the worst, we had him stabilized, but we put the wrong medicine in him.”
Sayu dropped the scalpel and put her face into her hands as she cried the life out of her body. Reina picked her back up onto the table as she cried with her keeping her head above running her fingers through her hair. Eri walked in and let Yossie run over to assist with the mayor.
“Is… he… actually… here?”
Eri took a seat next to both of them and put her thoughts together before mentioning anything. She wanted to say that he was here but in her mind she had to keep her mouth shut for the sake of Yossie. Reina felt Sayu calm down a bit and let her lay down, so she could rest. Reina gave her a smile as the pain was slowly going away with the news of the mayor’s condition.
~~
Yossie couldn’t believe that the nurses had mixed up the medicine by his bed. She knew that if it wasn’t going to be solved soon it would lead to a malpractice suit and she knew how close she was with one at the last place she practiced medicine. She ran in to see the mayor pale and his eyes were glaring at the doctor as she looked at the screen monitoring him.
“What happened?”
“I think we just had a side effect with your meds.”
He smiled and shook his head like it doomsday for him. Yossie picked up the medicine and looked inside to see the misshapen pills inside. She began to see that someone had been switching pills and the nurses never caught the pills that were not supposed to be in there. The doctor threw away the bottle in disgust as she knew something was way fishier than it seemed.
The doctor ventured to the other room, where the wife was laying down on the bed with scratches on her arms and face. The wife smiled at Yossie as she was waiting for news of her husband but her expression showed no optimism for her husband’s condition. It was her worst nightmare that someone had planted medicine that almost killed him and keeping the supposed victim and suspect together under the same roof was making it not easy on her status.
~~
Reina felt comfortable letting Sayu’s head rest on her lap as Eri looked from a far trying to grasp the events of the past day.
Meet new woman… Helps me clean… Visit all the people… Sayu’s incident… Mayor and his wife injured… Mayor’s condition gets worst.
Eri felt frustrated that with all the pieces, she had to be in the middle of all the events since Reina came to town. She thought about the many scriptures she had read over the years and it had become a headache for her to point out the reason. Eri wanted to scream out everything but she just kept it inside gazing over to Sayu and Reina. Reina was never comfortable with Eri’s comforting abilities and it disappointed her that Sayu was taking the attention. She was becoming the odd woman out and she saw the opportunity when Yossie came back.
“The mayor has died.”
Her words sliced the tension between the three and they felt the weight of the situation crush them. Yossie flipped over the first set of pages and saw the cause of death under her finger.
“Someone poisoned the mayor, it was no accident.”
“Who might have done it?”
“I’m not sure but I need to contact the head of police.”
Yossie walked out of the room with her phone to call Rika, who was leading the investigation. Reina let Sayu rest on the bed and took a seat next to Eri. Kamei lifted her hand up and placed it on top of Reina’s arm as she watched Sayu’s eyes to the picture. Eri leaned in and pecked the kitty on the cheek as Sayu closed her hand into a fist. Her anger had grown into the rage that she had against the mayor. Before she could attack, Reina pulled away from Eri and ran out the door. The two remaining were locked in a staring contest and it continued until a year later.
Chapter 11
A Year Later…
It was the tragedy that struck a small town, a mayor poisoned, a detective only left with the message of a friend, and a love triangle between a runaway, who was brought in with open arms and grew to helped the town with its streets, a nun who brought in the runaway, and had opened up for the first time about her relationship after the event in the medical center, and the millionaire, who loved the town that contained the runaway and showered her with many gifts.
Reina was accepted quickly after the tour of the town and was given a small house between the nun and the millionaire’s mansion. The kitty grew into a working member of society by doing small chores for the members like picking up trash, sorting produce, etc. However, she could never figure out who was the person to kill the mayor and it seemed a mystery with Rika coming up short on many leads, even concluding his own misjudgment could have been his own doing.
The ex-mayor’s wife was extremely opinionated about Rika in her investigation, she felt that she was targeted like she was the suspect but every path led to a dead end. However, she made some questionable moves after her recovery, she married Shota after the funeral of her deceased husband, and Shota by virtue of the law had become mayor even without the people’s vote for the rest of the term, and had a healthy baby boy nine months later.
Nevertheless, the battle was still on between the three which was news for everyone because it was a determination if Reina was going for the money or for the compassion of a person. Sayu was painted as a rich woman who flew to whoever wanted her but Reina showed her soft side and changed the personality to reflect her transformation. That transformation was the step needed to rebuild the town from scratch. Her former lover, Jun was upset that she would take a homeless, foreign woman over her and also tried to sabotage the relationship. However, it was a losing battle by Sayu building a store for both to sell their dumplings and other goods from China.
Eri took an initiative to be a person than a nun and impressed Reina by cleaning daily and helping her around because Sayu refused to be a worker which everyone knew from before. She gained an upper hand by piecing together Reina’s house and helped in sorting out the location and the design, which was eventually scrapped for Sayu’s choice in design. However, Reina did the painting; choose the interior, and made a gate for all to see.
~~
It was all perfect until Rika found a piece of evidence overlooked in the investigation: shoeprints.
She had the picture from the investigation on her table and kept looking at it constantly, only trying to point out why it was never put into the clues. Her colleagues left the photos out as the investigation aimed toward the members and concluded to accidental death. But, it seemed to torture her that someone had been witnessed to the incident and it was now her investigation to take on.
The investigator knew it wouldn’t be worth much to know the footsteps but it was worth a shot to figure out that person. She had hid around the area to measure the shoe and wrote down the dimensions for her research. It was unusual for anyone to just write down the shoeprint and conclude nothing out of it but she had a hunch that it could explode into something different from the report she had concluded the previous year.
She knew it had to be a woman because of the imprint mark was shallow and the size was small for a man to come over the fence. Also, she had to pick out her suspect carefully without scaring them away. It took only a few days to come with something perfect to why she was looking for shoeprints: beauty contest.
She had to find that person to match without stating the case and if she could catch her, it could explain the purpose of shoeprints. However, it was made difficult with the new mayor rejecting idea for a contest and had to do it herself with her own funds for the entertainment of the town.
~~
“Kamei-san, thanks for cleaning the town.”
The constant ringing of her praises was drowned out with Reina dragging her cart to the brewing company where she would give off her items for Ai. Eri opened up more of her past with the people and felt blessed to have her out and about rather than seeing her in church. However, Sayu had gained more for improving the buildings by getting new materials to patch their faults. Her praises were sincere compared to hers but as long as Reina could see her working it was all for the better.
Sayu watched over the people more than she did before and gained respect as the restorer to the town. She tried to hold back a little showing the compassion to Eri but it was an act to draw Reina towards her. It worked some days and didn’t work on others but it was well-worth the effort as she saw her walk toward Risa’s shop.
“Reina! You’re early, is there something you need to do?”
The kitty shook her head as she dragged the flour from the cart to the kitchen. Reina was amazed by all the mixers and ingredients in the back. It was a warm site for the many memories that she had lost with her mother’s passing and looked at the dough that was on the table.
“It is new, thanks for getting the flour by accident, the bread has been sweeter because of your mistake and it had helped business a lot. Maybe we need some other mistakes to make the business boom.”
Reina felt embarrassed by the incident but lucky it had worked out well because it gave them publicity and with the new materials it was a new look for the visitors. However, Risa was observant to the situation and doing these jobs were not worth a lot but it did keep her from thinking about her problem. She knew food would benefit her and always offered a loaf of day-old bread for her meal.
“Thanks…”
Reina left to walk over the produce shop to help sort out the stand with Aika; she was the lone one to not say anything about the situation, which benefitted Reina because she didn’t have to fight between the two with all the other people. However, when it did come down to a down time, Aika showed her hesitance in bringing it up, and would offer up a fruit to satisfy the kitty’s hunger.
“Aika, do you want to say anything? I think you seemed anxious about something.”
“I guess so, but you always seem irritated about Eri and Sayu, when they are mentioned.”
Reina held the fruit in her hand as she dug her nails into the skin and onto the pulp before taking a bite. Aika had been right when it was given to her straight forward in front of the crowd but in an intimate moment, she wasn’t satisfy with the explanation that she had loved them both for different reasons. It was because of that she couldn’t seem to choose who she wanted as a partner. But, the source of irritation was the nagging by everyone so she tossed the fruit into the trashcan.
“Have you ever felt good about two people?”
“Yes, my mother and father.”
“No, what I mean is, two friends that make you complete and want each to be part of your life?”
Aika shook her head.
“That’s what it is at the moment, I have two great friends but their fight is silly to the point I hate but I can’t stand it without either of them.”
“I see. Well I guess you can head home for now. See ya later!”
Reina packed up her goods and walked back to the house where Rika was standing there with a clipboard and pencil. She knew what she was but she knew it wasn’t anything new to see police but when you are guilty everything drives to the thought of capture but positive reinforcement was essential to her success and she needed that to ride her luck.
Chapter 12
There was one thing Rika could do that would pinpoint the person responsible for the shoeprint and it was her statistics on shoe sizes for the town. She could point out pretty much everyone’s shoes except for Reina’s shoes because she had been working delivering or helping out the people. Everyone was cooperative that she wanted to look at their shoes except for the mayor himself and his wife. She was curious about Eri, if she had shoes because from her past encounter, she had always worn slippers as the nun usually would wear because of the conditions in the church. Now, she was at the kitty’s house waiting for her to come home.
“Hey Reina.”
The room turned cold as the kitty closed the door behind her and she offered her a seat to find the shoe that could make the print. Unfortunately, Reina threw it out months ago when they moved into the new house, so Rika with her own intuition knew she may have discarded the shoes, got another pair in her size.
Reina took the pair outside and wore it for a while to get comfortable in the shoes. Rika led her to the mud area behind the house. The kitty was growing suspicious of what Rika was trying to find out and stepped into the mud with her assistance and then stepped out with the shoes. She took out a picture and matched it with the print, it seemed close enough that it could have been her, and she let her take off the shoes outside.
“Reina, I believe that you didn’t kill the mayor but I knew you were on the property.”
Rika saw she guilt show on her face as she was the person outside of the house, Rika blocked her expression by turning her around, looking at the house. It wasn’t anything special that she got from figuring the truth but it was the little things that made sense to her.
“I wanted to kill him but I heard a scream and ran away. I knew Sayu was in the medical center with Yossie and Eri so I just wanted to help Sayu get rid of the memory of him.”
Rika shook her head as she took mental notes and compiled the previous notes from the investigation. The case fell apart after the marriage of the new mayor and the mayor’s widow. When the police had been shut out of the case for reasons unknown to anyone, rumors had come out that Shota was using lawyers to cover the case. Especially the one witness that noticed the mix up: Yossie.
Rika felt that Yossie was threatened to not release the autopsy, which she held onto as part of her records. It was reported as an overdose but the few minor issues could never been brought up unless Yossie could challenge it. Since the case was shut down, Yossie could never report the truth even to Rika as their partnership was an issue of professionalism. The new mayor hid everything under his new bear rug and ran it if it was a normal town with happy people.
Rika as any lead investigator would do, she undermined the mayor by hiding the fact she was snooping around to find bits and pieces to place together. After a few months, she had been relieved of her duties for snooping around but the decision by the mayor was overturned because of the authority figure he was going against, the head honcho of the National police.
However, she had been limited to a single room without colleagues and could only do the mundane assignments that did not involve snooping around. It wasn’t until she had the picture that it seemed to open up in front of her.
Reina kept her composure as she knew that she could have been in big trouble if anyone did find out that she would be cited for trespassing. But, Rika patted her on the head and let the kitty go for being cooperative with her research. The leader had to get people to work with her and she followed Reina back and decides on how she could use Reina on later missions. Rika explained that she would be having a permanent job in a town she knew for more than a year and maybe settling the feud she was part of.
Obviously, Reina did have some concerns and it was mainly for her protection from anyone getting close to her during a research project. The mayor and his wife were still in the house, so it would be opportunistic to explain details. Reina only could contact Rika and under no circumstance, she would be immune to any attack on her or her family. The kitty was hesitant about the job and reluctantly accepts it with very little details about what her first mission was going to be.
“I believe in you as a friend and it may lead you to live a double life, however any job can be declined if it mixes personal and professional aspects.”
Reina nodded as Rika laid out a thick contract with all the legal rules, she was never a reader so she trusted Rika to clue her in on what it meant for her. She made it easy for Reina to understand and with all her signatures; she was an agent to Rika.
“Also, one more thing, all missions will come into your mailbox at the post office, box number 007.”
“Do I have one now?”
“Yups. However I don’t expect you to bring in your findings right away, so take your time…”
Rika walked away from the house and cautiously paced back to her office.
~~
Reina had every piece she needed to start her adventure and walked over to the post office to see the nine boxes on the wall. She went to bottom row, first on the left, and pushed the key into the slot. She turned it clockwise to find a piece of paper with her mission.
Buy 2 cases of beer… Thnx, Rika ;)
Damn I need to expect a job with such expectations.
She had walked over to the brewery to see a gleaming Ai-chan readying for the evening shift. She looked over at the case on the counter next to Ai and put up two for her order. She knew that Rika had set up the clues to the location and hid it between the bottles. She carried them back home and phoned Rika to pick up her packs. She didn’t seem to notice the memo until Rika got to the door and blew the paper out of its hiding place.
“One more note, my dear.”
Reina chased after it and her eyes widened up as it seemed to catch her off-guard and she had to reread it couple of time before putting down on the table.
Research Sayu’s past
Reina smirked at the assignment and accepted it with no questions asked. It was something that she needed to find to dig a little more for her own decision between the nun and her.
-
*Fingers crosssed* Reina please pick Eri!!!
And i, myself am alittle curious about Sayu's past.. and why does Rika wanna research it ummmmmmm... interesting.
^ answer won't be in the next chapter but it will present a foundation for things to come
Chapter 13
“Don’t you have a question for me?”
Rika grinned at the kitty with a beer in hand, she was ready to pour into her cup of ice, but she took the bottle away from her. She also grabbed the package away from her and placed it next to her.
“Where is the information I need to find?”
“It is in the closet in the bedroom, I left it in the box for now, and you must find everything about her family.”
Reina stroked her chin as she tried to find why she was looking into Sayu, she remembered that she was attacked a year ago, and she had been in the medical center throughout the night. It would have been impossible that she could have been able to put in the drugs during a certain point in time. She thought more into Sayu must have been doing shady things to get her money, so she walked up and dragged the box down the stairs.
“What do I need to find?”
“Whatever you desire about her life. It isn’t a thing I do need to know but something in there will help me with the investigation.”
Reina saw her took a sip of her drink and placed it neatly on a napkin on her side of the table. She opened up a book about her childhood; it was filled with pictures and comments written in black ink neatly on the right side of the pictures. Many of them were alone or near a child who wasn’t looking toward the camera. It was made that she was always alone or the parents never could get anyone to pose with her. Then, she saw a picture of a mealworm that caught her attention, forty-five to be exact. She showed a true smile for the first time in any of the pictures and it seemed to transits to high school.
Rika looked from her side watching the kitty flip through each of the pages carefully scanning each picture until she stopped at one picture. It was with Ai and Risa and they each posed except for Sayu who halfheartedly turned away from the camera.
“Was she always disrespectful to others?”
“In a way, she never cares too much for others who can beat her in a matchup of looks. Ai and Risa were friends but Sayu never had a true friend and it still holds up for today. Eri was open in being her friend but after a few hold ups, she didn’t care unless it was for prayer. Jun was more of love in convenience; she always loved to be in someone’s arms, so she decided to take Jun in.”
“Reason why she helped with the shop?”
Rika nodded as she flipped the page over to her father’s funeral where she kept a stone face over the image of her father on the mantle. It seemed weird that she wasn’t overly excited but the photographer caught her patting the few tears from her eyes. She theorized that she was either not close with the father or something else that was on her mind. Then, a picture of her with a change of facial expression caught the kitty’s eyes and it was the mayor with a smile on his face.
“Sayu’s uncle was the mayor, right?”
“Yes, he was but he was quite young in comparison to her father.”
“They were born fifteen years apart; her father was from a different mother than the mayor. It was a secret until someone had reported that he was disgusted of the mayor until his death. In addition, the mayor had a grudge with the father when Sayu’s father was getting the money.”
Reina wrote down on a piece paper the facts Rika had been giving her and then a thought popped into her head.
“So the mayor had the grudge with Sayu all this time and given the opportunity, they were about the same age?”
“About seven year apart.”
“I see.”
Reina soon found a letter mentioning that Sayu would build the town from scratch with the help of her neighbors, which were probably angered that she would just spend the money on her. However, she did make short-term changes with the infrastructure with the mayor’s approval. Then, she met Jun and she decided to spend hundreds of thousands on Jun in the weirdest way: building a house.
The mayor sent her small notes that were chronicled in the book about the empty threats he had threatened to use. But, it wasn’t until she finally got the note that broke it wide open, her love for Jun. She halted the building and set up a stand for dumplings. However, the unfinished building was still being funded through funneling into the bank account which eventually the mayor caught onto. Finally it was out in the open, which Reina had seen when she met the Chinese women last year.
It was all written in front of her with diary entries that had been placed in the back in chronological order from her father’s death. She closed the book and sat there thinking about the events from a year ago. The mayor was trying to stop her from donating the money like she was delivering to the enemy, but it was love that might have been unrequited. These were all thoughts with no clue what she was trying to find but it grew from the seed planted in her mind, she was looking for hints on something only Rika knew about.
Reina looked up and Rika was staring into Reina’s eyes as everything started to piece together the Sayu she knew and the past only supported her intentions. The kitty picked up another book but it was smaller and it showed her financial reports after her father’s death. Money had been imputed as an inheritance and slowly was taken out for daily use, but more was deposited as it was set up as a trust account. The monthly deposits were way more than she was actually spending until last year where it got zeroed out.
“Was there any reason for the main account to be wiped out?”
“Simply, she had invested into rebuilding the town and all the money went into a separate account for the daily expenses, she had set up a year ago.”
“That must be the help the town received.”
Rika nodded and emptied the rest of the bottle into her glass. She had consumed the one pack that was given to her and the second one was next to her as she was ready to leave the kitty’s house. Rika flew the note over to her and opened to find she had another set of books to research into Eri’s life.
This shall be fun.
-
They got books on ERI too!! Oh boy.... I wonder whats in there.. From whats been said so far Eri has had a bit of a troublesome life.
And Sayu her past , I kinda pity her..
Still wonder what Reina choice will be..
Please keep the updates coming!! ^.^
^ well because it is a small town everyone has their "books" but some are quite limited than others :nervous
Chapter 14
Reina remembered more about Eri than Sayu, so she thought it would be more of a review until she opened the first book. It was a letter written to Eri from her father, it mentioned about how much talent the turtle possessed in her. She was known to be shy but from her father, she was outgoing and when she moved her, it might have changed her personality. Reina slipped the letter back inside and flipped over to the next page to find the turtle standing by her parents posing at Disneyland.
It was filled with Disneyland pictures on how she posed, it was truly fun for her but she could see something that shown her vulnerability to others. All the photos that were taken were by herself or with her parents. Reina figured it was that chronic shyness with people that would prevent her from posing with others until another paper stuck out from the book revealed the reason.
Abuse.
It was on many occasions that she was involved in a rocky relationship from the many reports that the doctors observed unusual bruising around her arms, legs, and back. What drove her away from her parents was at age fourteen, a crush had entered her house and she had been in her room. He walked in with his head down and offered a letter to show his love; little that Eri knew that in his pocket was money from the parents.
He had pinned her against the wall and began to kiss her while his hand ventured down between her legs, she started to scream, and then the event ended without going any further. The boy ran away but was forced back and it was locked behind him. Eri looking at him started to open her window but she got tugged back into bed and he continued his kiss while he kept his on her chest. Then, he removed all her clothing without her saying a word and watched the whole event unfold in front of her.
Reina couldn’t read the rest of the report, it was making her boil that her parents forced her into sex, she flipped through another set of papers, and a report about her behavior appeared. It was mentioning that she had been isolated on occasion for disobeying the guards. However, she showed no resistance and walked into solitary confinement often without any words. It wasn’t until several months later that she moved into the town with the pastor and learned about religion. She slowly opened up with her peers and became a nun at eighteen.
Her book was finished with good reports coming from the pastor before he left Eri control of the church. The kitty closed the book and felt a sudden rush of emotions. She cried thinking about Eri’s tough life and it felt that she needed to have her more than Sayu, but Sayu needed a person to stand by her or everything will fall apart. She felt her body being torn into two thinking about the situation and walked out to visit Ai at the brewery.
“Hey Reina, did everyone made you work hard?”
“Nah, just been wondering of stuff.”
Ai slid her drink of whiskey on ice, which was becoming Ai’s best seller after the first batch from two years ago had been a success. It was spicy but rather smooth going down her throat and she kicked one back in frustration. Ai knew when people had problems; she had a sixth sense about it and walked over to Reina promptly when she dropped her glass onto the bar.
“Sayu and Eri again, I assume.”
“Yups, I can never say no to either of them.”
Ai smiled as she poured another glass for her to drink. She presented a smile and brushed the hair away from her face as the kitty stared at the glass.
“Maybe you should try doing something spontaneous to rid of dilemma in your head at the moment.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well you rarely talk to anyone except Eri, Sayu or me, you can talk to Risa but she is busy trying to sleep, and Aika is already sleeping. Yossie is known to be a great person to have a conversation with, she is sometimes sitting back waiting for a patient so give her a visit.”
Ai’s suggestion wasn’t a bad idea. She knew not a lot go there on a daily basis and if it was anything interesting she could ask about both of them, it would be her who give her an answer she could be satisfied with. She took down the second drink and strolled over to the medical center where Yossie would be at this time. However, Reina found an empty building and took a seat next to the receptionist’s table waiting for the doctor to come back.
Fifteen minutes later, Yossie saw Reina sitting patiently as she returned with a small package of food from the Chinese duo. The doctor always needed to find a way to fuel herself through the long nights that the clinic was open till, especially she was on emergency watch all the time. Yossie made her office as her living space for any type of emergencies but she always kept two nurses as assistants. The nurses were city-oriented and hated the isolated population, which many wouldn’t last the usual visits of three months. In any case, Yossie was glad that they had a center in town rather than outside because of the timing with patients.
“Reina, you seem you got some alcohol in you.”
“Yes I do, but I am here to ask you about Rika in general.”
Yossie placed the bag onto the table and took a seat next to Reina as she prepared a question for the doctor.
“Why is she making me do research? Isn’t the case over?”
The doctor released a grin and rubbed the kitty’s head as it seemed to strike a chord with her.
“Well she is sneaky to let people help her indirectly, she knows about the love triangle so it may give you an insight for how you should continue to the future. The second answer is not really, the case has been open since it started, she may want you to find clues to her leads. She will not tell you what it is but she will use you as a person of interest to get her way. She is a maverick with investigations so be aware that she will also break simple rules for results. Anyways, is there anything else?”
Reina shook her head as the liquor was slowly consuming her body and swayed left and right until she closed her eyes. She woke up to be in a room where the lights were dark and once she moved, Yossie was in a chair with book in hand, and smiled at the kitty.
“I guess the alcohol did its job, return home and you will see Rika’s next note.”
Reina walked back with a stagger and pushed through until she paused at the grocery store. Her breathing was extremely difficult and lay out of puddle in front of her. She managed to get to the front door and saw a bowl of hot soup to keep her busy. Reina picked up the note and saw the note mentioning about finding connections. If Reina thought it would be hard, she was right because on the surface there was no connection.
-
Oh my god!!! I didnt know Eri's life was that bad. I almost cried when Reina was reading about her.
I want her to give Eri a big hug lol!! I would like to do it myself but.. im not in the fan fiction lol!!!!
I feel so bad for her my heart aches.. Eri is really strong..
Wow......
-
^ Eri's past was needed because it creates more drama later on
Chapter 15
Reina felt hung over and walked over to the sink to wash her face, if the sun wasn’t so bright, she could walk out without any ill effects but she was feeling the headache from the bright light. She stripped off her clothing and jumped into the shower. The water was a welcoming feeling since she hasn’t been intimate with either for a long while but she felt once in a while she needed to visit their houses to one of them rather than be around them all the time.
Today, it was Eri’s turn to have the kitty over and over the year she hadn’t change her pigsty life. Everywhere had clothes but she did try to do it when Reina was living with her which made Reina happy. However, she never followed up after she moved out and would always meet her at the café where they first met to avoid any possibility to go back to the church.
Reina took a small bag of essentials and walked outside to visit the turtle at her house and peeked inside to see the animal chopping on lettuce. She waited at the window and then heard a faint scream coming from upstairs. Reina ran into the bathroom and saw Eri sitting at the edge of the seat. She had a towel wrapped around her body only exposing her shoulders and her lower legs.
“Itai! I stepped on my brush again.”
“Kamei, I told you need to clean up after yourself.”
“I know but sometimes it is hard without another person.”
“I told you that you could do it in smaller batches than take it all at once.”
Eri rubbed her foot where the bristle pricked her and held her pout as Reina excused herself from the bathroom. She walked back out and observed the townspeople. It was the usual day traffic for the town where everyone packed the stores for their own goods. After a minute of scanning, she heard another scream and walked back into the house but it wasn’t from Eri. She walked back out of the church and saw a woman in the middle of the road.
The people ran toward the woman and they all ran toward the medical center where Yossie looked over her. She squatted over her and covered her mouth. The nurses carried out a board and lifted the body from the ground to the medical center. Eri walked out in uniform but she held her stomach like she had cramps and walked back in wincing in pain.
“Eri what happened?”
“I... don’t know. I have to see Yossie right away.”
Reina carried the turtle to the medical center and laid her on the first table available; she grabbed the unoccupied nurse and dragged her toward the room. The nurse closed the door and Reina sat in the waiting chair for Eri’s results with a concerned demeanor.
Yossie walked out with her head down and wiped her hands together in frustration. She turned to see the depressed kitty sitting down with her hands clasped together between her legs. She walked into the closed room and exited quickly without looking at the kitty.
“Yossie, tell me what’s wrong!”
“I’m not sure, but we need to keep her for a while.”
Reina slammed her hands onto the table in dissatisfaction and blasted out of the medical center without trying to talk to anyone. She came back home and began to think about a connection between Sayu and Eri, which wasn’t helping her anxiety until she found a book filled with memories of the young women, it consisted of Ai, Risa, Eri, and Sayu pictures. Many showed their smiling faces and their trips throughout the town as teen girls would find with their curiosity until about half way through the album where they tended to take separate pictures. Ai and Risa were in most of the pictures with patches of Eri and Sayu taken individually.
She began to theorize that the change was because of Eri and Sayu taking a mature turn to adult life and Ai and Risa becoming closer as partners. However, she found a picture with all four of the, Eri was in her nun uniform and Sayu dressed upper class. They each presented a genuine smile but there was a person in the back that manages to get into the picture. Reina assumed it was a woman because of her shape and she was wearing a black coat with dark sun glasses.
The kitty dialed Yossie’s number to ask for Rika but was interrupted when the woman walked in with sun glasses and greeted the kitty warmly.
“I found something you need to explain to me.”
Reina showed the picture and Rika grabbed the magnifying glass to look at the unidentified woman. She took a step back and tried to match the shape with the townspeople. After a few minutes, she could point out the person from her memory.
“The mayor’s wife, I mean the widow, she looks exactly like her.”
“You think so.”
“I am sure but why do you ask?”
“The four women, they were close right before Eri and Sayu took their own path in life, right?”
Rika nodded as she took out another album and pointed out the other pictures that they took the summer before the split. After a few minutes of glancing over the pictures, she found one where they took with the mayor. They each had an awkward smile on their faces. It concerned her as they seemed to be the few who disliked the mayor by their expressions. Rika caught the same picture and saw the mayor’s wife behind them, she was angry about something but what was it?
“The mayor’s wife was always hinting that the mayor liked the younger women.”
“The young women were not warm about him, right?”
“Yups, the only one who did like him was Aika because he would always give her candy for helping her parents. He had his eyes on expansion so you could see why the four were angered.”
Reina began to understand why the four were cold towards him on many levels but it never dawned to her that she wanted to check if Eri was okay. Rika left the kitty’s house and trailed her to the medical center where Yossie had been waiting outside.
“Eri is fine, she mentioned that she hadn’t eaten in a while because of the holiday she was observing and she forgot that the hunger pains caused unusual effects on her body so she ate a dumpling to ease the pain.”
Reina felt relieved that it wasn’t serious but she saw Yossie and Rika talking to each other. She felt something eerie was going to happen and it was the news of the mayor’s wife coming down with chest tightness that made Reina concerned with the events leading up to the mayor’s death a year ago.
-
Im glad Reina is researching their past, its making alot of things about them more clear. And its helping me understand the character more.
I was glad Eri wasnt really sick or something i was worried there.
Reina has a bit of a short/big temper huh? Lol, Im glad that shes using it for Eri safety though it makes it... cute. xD .
She doesnt look up books on Ai and Risa (just for the hell of it lol since there is no real legitimate reason as to why she should?)
And Eri with her messy place... is sooo like her ahhhh~ :lol:
-
^ Well Rika is the one giving her the assignments so she could probably find a reason, just when
Chapter 16
Eri walked out of the examination room with a smile on her face, she didn’t look as pale as she went in which made Reina happy. The two women walked back to the church with Sayu walking towards them. She had a neutral look on her face hiding her disgust of the turtle. Eri walked in, excusing herself from the conversation leaving Sayu with the kitty.
“Can we meet tomorrow?”
Reina never heard the tone before as she was weakened by some type of force; maybe it was the fact Eri was becoming closer with her. Sayu had distrusted her when she first saw her but when she let the kitty comfort her, she fell in love with the compassion she had received from the injuries a year ago. The moment felt like an eternity waiting for the answer as Reina nodded slowly.
“I don’t want to tell you right now, it is a personal problem but enjoy the day with Eri.”
Sayu waived to her as she walked gracefully back towards her house, holding her head up toward the sky, like she had been crying. Reina walked into the church and saw Kamei gave the turtle its breakfast before sitting down on the stairs. The kitty stood next to her while she was still holding her midsection.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just still a little discomfort for now.”
Eri broke into laughter watching the kitty’s facial expression. The turtle loved how Reina would try to comfort her by not smiling but it was breaking down the shield Reina had built over the years. The kitty was still disappointed with the house being in shambles but Eri did succeed in cleaning her bedroom. It was lightened up with the fresh white paint and the clean curtains.
“Wow! At least it’s a start.”
“Yeah, I guess we have a little time to ourselves, right?”
The kitty nodded as she prepared to pounce onto the unsuspecting turtle and at the last second, Reina missed her target and her nails grabbed onto the clothing causing a rip a size of quarter on the back side of her right leg. Despite missing the target, she got a view of the turtle’s underwear.
“KAWAII!!!!”
“This is my favorite gown, you know…”
“Sorry, I’ll make it up with this.”
Reina pressed her lips on top of the turtle’s and both fell onto the bed clamped to each other.
~~
Sayu decided to take a nap for the day with Reina staying over with the turtle for the day. She had gotten herself into a comfortable position until the phone rang.
“Moshi Moshi.”
“Sayu, were you napping?”
“Yes, why do you ask and who are you?”
“I won’t answer the questions until you finish the job.”
“What do you mean?”
Sayu paused for a second thinking about what the person was talking about and then a buzzing sound caught Sayu by surprise.
“I know you poisoned the mayor because you wanted him killed so no one would be in your way.”
“I never did that, even if I was with him that night, he was the one who grabbed me, and his wife stopped him from violating me.”
“You changed his pills and caused his death, so you should take responsibility.”
Sayu was feeling something was watching her and she hanged up the phone. She was the victim not the suspect in the incident a year ago. She remembered how she kneeled for forgiveness and he unzipped his pants wanting to see how much she would forgive him but she uppercut him and ran to the bathroom. She had been trapped inside until he broke down the door and shoved her into tub. His hands were centimeters away from her breasts until his wife pulled him off her.
Within that moment she had ran to the bar where Ai and Reina saw her bruised and bloodied and then rushed over to the emergency room. She didn’t know about any pills and probably did knock them over if she did so, but in the rush to escape, she wouldn’t have known. Sayu felt the slight chill in her body and closed the windows.
She kept herself wrapped for an hour until the memory had past but the phone was the only obstacle from a quiet moment. Sayu knew it wouldn’t end until she picked it up again but in fear she disconnected the phone and sat there with tears rolling down. Someone had been playing tricks and whoever it was; it was frightening her to the core.
~~
After a few minutes, Reina pulled away from the turtle’s lips and watched Eri recovering from the long embrace. It was a special feeling that Reina could be the turtle’s mate and could always peek at the hole she made for reference. Eri rolled out and rested her head on the bed as she mumbled an apology before climbing back onto the bed.
“Eri, why were you apologizing for?”
“I do that every time after I do something that breaks the code.”
“We are not supposed to kiss?”
Eri nodded as she watched the kitty’s eyes turned away from her and pushed her off the bed with all her might. Reina rolled up to catch herself back onto her feet but ended halfway through her motion. The kitty looked up at Eri and smiled as she stood back up.
“I guess that’s payback for ripping your dress.”
“Not really, it’s just the start; you just have to feed the turtle tonight.”
Reina agreed to the deal and walked downstairs to find Sayu by the door. Reina let her in as she started to lean onto Reina feeling the tears soak through her shirt. Eri closed the door behind her and escorted her to the back room to find an explanation. Reina felt that eerie feeling again and followed the other two to the back room. The three sat as Sayu regained her composure and wrapped her arms around her body like she felt the temperature dropped to freezing.
“Someone called me earlier, it was unrecognizable, but it thought I killed the mayor.”
Eri and Reina looked at each other in confusion and rubbed her back to calm her down a bit more.
“Why would it think that? Wasn’t it the medical center’s fault?”
Sayu moaned as the scene in her head started all over again, she held her hands over her ears, and screamed out as loud as she could until she fell to the floor. It was beginning to become a serious threat that someone was aiming for Sayu or who they thought murdered the mayor a year ago
The kitty nodded as she prepared to pounce onto the unsuspecting turtle and at the last second, Reina missed her target and her nails grabbed onto the clothing causing a rip a size of quarter on the back side of her right leg. Despite missing the target, she got a view of the turtle’s underwear.
“KAWAII!!!!”
“This is my favorite gown, you know…”
“Sorry, I’ll make it up with this.”
Reina pressed her lips on top of the turtle’s and both fell onto the bed clamped to each other.
*SQUEALS* EEEEEP!!!!! :wriggly: :imdead: :mon angel:
When Reina asked where they not suppose to kiss and Eri nodded did she nod saying they were suppose to or nod saying they were not???
Plus, Are they together? Or Is Reina just "testing the waters?"
Whoever that was reallly got Sayu spooked... freakin' idiots.. :angry:
-
^ one more update :lol:
Chapter 17
Reina watched over Sayu as Eri went out of the room for food. The kitty was concerned for Eri because of Sayu hiding in the church, so she sneaked out looking for Eri when she was venturing the town. Sayu felt threatened by the voice that brought back the memories but the voice was different than anything else. She saw Reina downstairs and wrapped her arms around the kitty.
“Sayu why are you out here?”
She wrapped her arms tighter around her midsection and her body started to crush underneath the pressure. Reina elbowed her to loosen up her grip. Sayu started to tear up unexpectedly and ran toward her house. Reina took a few steps before stopping herself.
Eri came back with stuffed bread looking at the kitty, which was looking toward the direction where Sayu ran off. She dropped the bag onto the table and placed her hands on top of the kitty’s shoulders and massaged them as she tried to figure out what was in Reina’s mind.
~~
Sayu came to the house and saw a figure by her front door. She froze as it came walking towards her and she turned into another one with a kendo stick, hitting her in the midsection and then her back, paralyzing her for the person to take her off.
~~
Reina picked up the bread and just looked at it as she kept thinking about Sayu and why she ran off without saying a word. It was the same feeling from a year ago like she couldn’t forget how Sayu was basically a ball that was hard to flatten her out. The year was spent trying to pry her away from the event and help the town she wanted to build for the people. However, she had moments of reservation that concerned the kitty.
First moment was the third visit with Yossie after the incident, she had a talk about upbringing with her parents, and she felt that they were around less than the usual parents. Sayu felt it never affected her internally but her lack of friends was telling a different story. However, with the people surrounding her, she pushed through in taking the next step, and knew she could get over the memory but the meeting was cut short when Yossie excused herself.
Sayu had been alone until the nurse came in with a pitcher of water, Reina walked into the room checking on her friend and Sayu didn’t pour out a glass for herself. She had offered a glass to Reina as she eyed the sink for about ten minutes. Then, she broke down when the door opened up but it closed before Reina could see the face. She looked outside and noticed no one was out there.
The second moment was when Sayu had been opening up about her past and how she regretted shunning the people in the town. She thought her parents would have discipline her for being uptight but she just needed alcohol to open her communication zone. Reina, Ai, and Sayu were having drinks celebrating the investment going into the brewery and the bar’s interior upgrade. Sayu had turned to the side and saw someone that made her uncomfortable and had turned away. She spent the night holding up a fake smile but inside she was crumbling until she finally gave in and walked home with the kitty.
The past hour was torture for both Eri and Reina as they felt helpless, they wanted to hunt down Sayu but they stared at each other blankly. Reina broke her concentration and walked toward Sayu’s house and saw no one was present. She called Rika but her phone was off and went into brewery to find Ai prepping for opening the bar.
“Ah, Reina, how you doing today?”
The kitty took a seat on the stool and put her head on her arms. Ai knew she was still a little early for prep so she took a seat next to her. Eri walked in and stood by the door watching the kitty.
“Sayu is having the memory of her attack again.”
“I see. Well I hope she isn’t faking it.”
Reina tilted her head to the side at the comment Ai just mentioned. It didn’t feel like an act and wanted to fight with her but her strength was low. But she did think if it was just to get people to like her but it didn’t feel overly executed so she kept her head up to listen to Ai’s explanation.
“Well I remembered one time when we were hanging out, she loved to flirt with the guys, and when she didn’t get her way, she starts crying to get sympathy. It has happened a lot so I am not surprised if she faked it for your attention but I could tell quickly. Since I wasn’t in the room, I can’t help you there.”
“I am not sure how to take that information but I guess I can say thank you for telling me this.”
Ai giggled and rubbed the kitty’s head.
“Risa may be the best one when she doesn’t get her way, but she got me so I cannot complain if she does throw a fit. However, if you do see her around the town, tell her that no one is gonna hate her.”
Reina nodded as she left the bar with the turtle and stood in the middle of the street wanting to yell out the millionaire’s name at the top of their lungs. She really needed a friend that believed in her 100% and Reina was going to make her feel wanted, it was her goal to make sure Sayu is her best friend. Eri saw the determination in the kitty’s eyes and they walked to the bread shop to seek the next person.
Risa cared less for Sayu but a person missing is a person missing and helped the duo to find Sayu within the town limits. By the time she talked to everyone, she had convinced the town to believe Sayu could benefit the town. However, by sundown everyone’s hopes started waning and they went home to get dinner ready. Little that they know, Sayu was still in town but was tied to the chair and blindfolded.
-
OH NO!! Who took Sayu and what are they gonna do to her!!!! :mon scare:
What did she ever do to them.. Half of me think someone wants some money from her... maybe... or maybe not lol... ehh wakannai yo!
^ its gonna depend if I want to write or not but I am coming to the point where the arc will close soon :nervous so it might take a while to bridge another piece and the characters to piece together the next part. Well if you are reading this next chapter, beware of the violence, it will be bloody. Also as a note, a piece of comedy comes in handy too with a chapter like this :nervous
Chapter 18
Sayu sat in the chair quietly; it was quiet, really quiet, and enough that the pipes were dripping water in front of her. Her wrists started to hurt because of the rope. She would struggle for a bit before giving up and let out a loud sigh. She had no clue to where she was but it was in a room. The smell of dirty socks was a dead giveaway. The humidity was also an indicator as she started to sweat profusely. She had no clue if anyone else was out there so she yelled out to gain a person’s attention to no success. Then, as she wanted to use the bathroom, the blindfold was taken off, and saw her kidnapper.
“Why do you betray me?”
Sayu tilted her head to the right and let out a grunt knowing who she was. She gritted her teeth as she saw her hold a pipe in her hands.
“You set me up to be with that man, I thought it would be a trick, but she got close enough to finish the job. While you sat back and planted everything to get your case. However, you knew why he and the wife had to be killed, but it didn’t happen, until recently where Yossie had to deliver the blow.”
“You are smart but your uncle deserved to be dead because he fooled around with me one night. He couldn’t just have one, he had many he could choose from, but once he got me, I was his, and he knew that you could have made him the happiest.”
Sayu struggled to get her wrists out of the rope but it was no use and her kidnapper came closer to her inches from her face. She pressed her lips together and kissed her as she struggled to get out before she pulled back with a smirk on her face. Sayu look straight at her as she banged the loose pipes to release more water and started to spray onto her.
“Rika… I’m sorry.”
~~
Reina and Eri kept searching high and low for Sayu and realized that she was nowhere to be found. They sat exhausted in front of the grocer with the sun slowly fading away. Aika walked out with a bowl of peeled oranges and offered to the duo.
“Thanks, Aika-chan~”
“No problem." Aika took a crate and sat across of them.
Reina and Eri bit into their first piece and the sweetness filled the mouths as they pondered where to search next. They were frustrated that they couldn’t find her anywhere but at least people were still worried for the millionaire.
“Reina-chan, you like Sayu a lot, no?” Reina nodded as Eri stuffed another piece into her mouth.
“She is a little rough around the outside but she cares for the people without showing compassion, which I don’t like about her.” Eri grinned as she felt the closeness again.
Then, out of Reina’s left came Yossie with a bag. She saw a baseball bat sticking out and trailed the path until she reached Sayu’s house. She shuffled through her key ring and opened the door to the house. Reina and Eri gave back the bowls and walked up to the house which looked barren inside.
“Why is Yossie carrying a bat?”
“I don’t know but I am having that feeling again. Let’s go find Sayu.”
Reina turned the doorknob and walked into the house with small steps. The floor boards were louder than usual, she looked in the dining room with no luck, and then to the kitchen where the noises were getting louder. The door was ajar to the basement and the sound of a girl screaming caused Reina to lead the way down.
The kitty saw Rika and Yossie surrounded Sayu with weapons holding over their heads. Reina charged Yossie first and the bat flew toward Rika nearly missing her head. She brought Yossie down next to Sayu and it cleared Eri to untie her from the chair. Rika aimed her weapon toward Eri and missed her by an inch, Sayu immediately react by kicking the chair at Rika, knocking her down to the floor. Yossie jammed the bat toward the kitty’s throat and she started to black out. Right over the doctor’s head, Eri held what looked like a gun right next to her face.
“Shoooot.”
Eri pulled the trigger and the shot hit the floor throwing Yossie off her guard and Eri started to aim at her. Reina rolled over to regain her breath as she watched Rika getting up from the floor. Yossie held up her hands in submission with Eri staring down the doctor. Rika held her midsection wincing from the chair and turned her attention to the bat that was by her. Rika surged toward the bat and the gun went off again, Rika fell over with the bullet wound through her chest and piercing the wall.
Yossie took the opportunity to grab the pipe and knock the gun out of the nun’s hand; shocked Eri scooted back to the door and watched the doctor gain control of the gun. Yossie crawled back to the wall and stood aiming the gun at the three women. Then, she turned to look at her friend who was in a pool of blood.
“The bitch should have planted the blame on Sayu in the first place as we talked about.”
Yossie grinned as she had control over the gun and led the group from the basement to the kitchen. They each took a seat around the table while Yossie played with the gun in her hands.
“Sayu, you know that faking an injury makes my job easier.”
“She didn’t fake the injury.”
Reina stood up and the gun was directed back at the kitty, she looked at the barrel, and just took a deep breath before muttering another word.
“Have you ever been rape?” Yossie shook her head.
“You never will ever know how that feels, it makes you feel filthy, and it can never be cleaned off. I had that experience way too many times until it excited me. It makes me sick but at least I got off yesterday.”
Yossie shot the gun to the ceiling and looked back at the kitty with the gun straight at her. Yossie smiled as she knew one more would be dead with a trigger pull. Reina looked back at Sayu as her eyes closed like she was relieving herself and she knew that one split second could benefit her. Yossie took another breath and smelt the odor and dropped her guard. Reina dove toward the arm and the gun rolled onto the urine-filled floor, the doctor grabbed the kitty by the hair and guided her toward the piss.
“I guess you can taste her now.” She shoved her head closer until Ai and Risa came into the kitchen with Shota.
Yossie released the hair and licked her lips as she faced the mayor with a smile on her face. She knew that Shota would be easy because of his lack of fighting skills. However, Shota knew karate but always hid it away to not hint the townspeople of his training. Yossie threw the first punch and Shota blocked it with his fist and she knew she underestimated the mayor. He released the fist and waited for the next attack but Yossie pushed them out of the way until she got outside the house.
“Freeze! Yoshizawa Hitomi, you are under arrest for murder of two people.” She yelled out as the force surrounded her until she fell onto her knees in disgrace.
^ thnx Rika getting killed was kinda out of the blue but couple chapters ago, I had to bridge another part which leads to this chapter
Chapter 19
The police force from the main city surrounded the doctor as she held her hands up, giving into the men who were there to arrest her. Another set of men entered into the house to escort the rest of the women out and they found blood on the floor leading down to Rika. It was unusual for any town to face that a person who had become accustomed to their lifestyle was the one who killed the mayor and his wife. The first question was why, every question started with a why, but no one could figure it out which led to an internal investigation.
Meanwhile, Sayu was shaken from all the events but she felt guilty with everything that had happen and explained to the police officers about the murders. She knew that the mayor was being setup but beyond knowing why she was in the middle of the event, she needed the assistance. However, Sayu needed to get redressed and decided to walk over to the nearest house, which was Reina’s house for a shower. Reina followed Sayu to the bathroom while Eri got clean set of clothes for her.
Reina felt that Sayu needed to be treated and taking her away from the town would benefit her long-term. However, it was that time away that concerned the kitty. She heard the water pouring down inside, Reina patiently waited until Eri came back with the clothing. She began to think about how long it took for her to rid of the nightmare, it was torture until she could rid of the blame from herself. Reina was purely worried and didn’t notice the sounds within the bathroom.
Eri had heard a strange noise signaled Reina to go in to find Sayu behind the shower curtain and she opened to find her leaning on the wall breathing strongly. She placed her hand onto her back and traced her backbone until she managed to turn around and glared at her. The nun stuck her head in and it was frozen in her mind witnessing the Sayu’s eyes onto the kitty.
“Eri was worried…” Reina turned away but Sayu extended her arm and held onto her shoulder.
“I know, she told me that she always had wondered how you felt about me. I figured that you wouldn’t come in unless Eri said so.” Sayu grinned as she shields her chest from the kitty.
Reina dashed out of the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Eri giggled as the kitty looked up at her, trying to hide her smile. Eri held her extra clothes in her hand as she headlock the kitty to keep the optimism outside. Eri pushed her onto the wall and placed her hands on the kitty’s shoulders. She pushed her lips onto hers and everything froze around them, it was warm between the two, and a puff of steam came out.
“I guess this how it will be when I’m gone.” Sayu joked as she stared at them with a towel wrapped around her body.
“I don’t expect any less but Reina agreed that we can keep an open relationship between us three.” Eri placed her finger on her cheek and unraveled a smile from the millionaire.
“So, I can see Reina’s nude body, when I come back.” Sayu’s face exploded while Reina’s face became cherry red.
“Agreed.” Eri handed off her spare clothes and left with Reina as they waited outside with the police.
The town was soon filled with the media trying to dig through the town for clues to all the murders, but the police had become mum on everything, only give out what was known to everyone else. They knew it would be long before they could get the story straightened out to the timeline. The police detective leading the investigation to murder of Ishikawa followed the kitty and the nun to the church. Luckily, none of the media trailed them and they could pan out the details
“Hey, my name is Yasuda; I am the lead internal affairs investigator.” They each shook her hand as they went into the church and sat down near the altar.
She took out her notepad and looked at the two women with intent of finding what had happened. They knew of the consequences but something that they didn’t trust was the police because of Rika’s attempt to torture one of their neighbors. Reina explained that they saw Sayu in distress and tried calming her down but she had run away from them.
“I was concerned that she went back home, so we went there, but no one was home. We started to hear the noises down to the basement, where we saw Rika and Yossie with Sayu tied up.” Reina explained.
“Rika was sent here to inform us about the mayor but we had heard of the mayor’s death. We told her to look into that too until a colleague exposed a mistake on her report.” She explained as she looked over the notes.
“Well you are not going to tell us, so we shall look past that. But, what does Yossie have to do with all this?” Reina asked as Eri walked out to make some tea for the group.
“Yoshizawa… we have nothing on her unfortunately, the only clue was she was in close contact with Ishikawa all the time. Maybe, she placed her as a pawn to set up the murders?” Yasuda shrugged her shoulders as Reina looked away.
Yasuda looked older than her and somehow she showed off her strict demeanor with how her legs was crossed and kept her attention at her notebook. Eri came back with a teapot and three cups for them; she laid it out and offered each of them a cup. Yasuda looked at the nun and whispered something to her ear as they both went outside.
“You seem quite lonely in being a nun.” Yasuda nudged the turtle.
“It was before Reina came here and Sayu started to become more active in the community.” Eri smirked as Yasuda looked at the notebook.
“I will come back when all the evidence comes in, I will hang around town for a while, is there a place where I can stay?” Eri showed her to the guest room to Yasuda’s discontent.
“There is no inns because we usually don’t get a lot of visitors, sorry if it becomes an inconvenience.” Eri bowed as Yasuda walked out of the church and explained the situation.
Two hours later, they brought a portable station and set it away from the main road. The four women walked out and ventured into the bar where Ai had served them beer complementary to the new visitors. Reina had gone back home thinking about Eri, Sayu, and everyone else. As she looked at the clock, she looked out to see if Sayu had left but her house was still lighted. She walked out to a potential last visit with her, she stood at the door feeling her arm heavy, pondering over to what she should say. When she was ready to knock, the door opened up to Sayu without her makeup on.
“I guess you wanted to say goodbye.” Sayu closed her eyes and tried to hide her tears.
“I want to, but I can’t, I know you’ll come back, that’s why I don’t want to say it.” Reina explained as Sayu invited her into the house.
“Well I’ll be away for a few months, maybe just something to remember me by.” Sayu kissed her on the lips for as long as she could until Sayu had to pull away and pat the kitty for a temporary goodbye.
Reina and Eri watched as she took a taxi out of the town, the waves goodbye were sincere, and now a few months until she would come back without a trace, hopefully.
-
Awww the goodbye was kinda sad!!~ :(
Nothing Bad is gonna happen to Sayu while shes gone right?
And i love the Rokkie moment they had bout Sharing. Reina being all red faced xD
I guess with Sayu away Reina and Eri wont have much... problems happening around...
^ I can't guarantee that.... but something does happen to her :nervous however how it would affect the story, will make her front and center away from TanaKame for now.
Chapter 20
Sayu put on her sunglasses as she waved to her two friends or acquaintances, on she saw it but they were there to comfort her despite everything that happened. She promised herself she wouldn't shed any tears and to hold up her strong front as long as she could but thirty seconds she was defeated. Everyone in town had waived to her along the way out. She had a thought about what would happen in a few months: Changed mind? Changed heart? Changed spirit? As long as she was changed, she could step forward in life.
The taxi took her to a mansion along the seaside. She saw a cliff was about hundred yards away with people looking out to the ocean and an empty beach. Sayu walked in with her bags and escorted to her room with the view of the ocean. The room was filled with sea breeze and a yellow rose in a vase carefully put in recently. She dropped her bags next to the bed she was going to sleep on for the next few months and jumped onto the mattress as she felt confident she could get over any anxiety.
"Hello neighbor." A head peeked through the door and startled Sayu.
"Hey." She said softly as she entered without warning and took a seat next to the vase.
Both looked at each other strangely until the woman broke the silence in the room.
"My name is Koharu, what is your name?" Sayu was getting anxious that one had alerted her about the encounter and she sat up before mentioning her name.
"I am Michishige Sayumi... Nice to meet you." She said with a smile to warm up the room.
"You have a nice smile." She said as her face turned bright red.
Sayu felt a cold chill down her spine, it was beyond her entering without permission but she was now embarrassed viewing her. She didn't look bad herself: slender, her brownish hair tied up into a bun, and she was wearing a white dress that fit her figure. She was almost looking at her double in fashion but she knew she would be much cuter. Koha walked towards her bed and stared into her eyes as she fell onto Sayu, pushing them onto the bed.
"It's so nice sleeping on beds like this." She whispered as Sayu brought her up into standing.
"I don't know who you are despite telling you your name but I need some alone time. Maybe we can meet each other in therapy nee." The younger woman nodded as she pecked Sayu's cheek before walking out of her room.
Hmm that girl is sure weird but now my body feels weird. Sayu began thinking as the afternoon sun was now entering into her room. She lay back down again to get a nap but was soon interrupted by a knock on her door.
"Michishige-san, can you let me in?" She had a much stronger voice than the woman that just walked in unannounced and opened to a woman with a coat on.
"Gomen, I forgot to give a schedule to you before you began to settle down." She bowed as she saw the events that were happening and it drew out a smile.
"Thank you..." The woman turned and Sayu caught her attention before she went off to another patient.
"Who came into my room a while ago?" She tilted her head until Sayu began to describe her and she began to nod acknowledging who that person was.
"Kusumi Koharu. She is quite friendly but I can't explain her condition to you as we have confidentiality but you will see her with you for therapy. Unfortunately, she is in your area so if she does become overbearing, I have to apologize beforehand." Sayu nodded and walked back into her room dropping the paper on the desk and closing her eyes again.
Her body became relaxed as she dozed off and a dream popped up with Eri and Reina holding hands looking at her. Sayu looked at their fingers and noticed a ring on Reina, she wanted to shout out "Omedetou!" but her heart started to beat faster until she fell to the ground in exhaustion. They looked over her and their eyes began to wonder over her condition but another face came into view: Koharu. She woke up feeling the sweat rolling down her cheek and the sun was barely above the horizon. She looked at the clock showing 5:42 and looked on her agenda when was dinner, it was 5:30.
She raced down to the cafeteria by following the direction in her portfolio and arrived to an empty room. She knew that she was lost until Koha came in front of her and greeted her with a smile. The younger woman led her to the cafeteria where only a few people were eating. They each had the same meal: fish, miso soup, and a bowl of rice. Koha led her to the table she usually sat at and waited there as Sayu grabbed her dinner.
Sayu never felt nervous about people, she hated being around them, unless they were warm to her first, but they looked out of place. It was more of a hospital than a rehabilitation clinic many with bruises, burns, scars, etc. Koha was the only one without those marks and she seemed to be good-spirited in her mind but there had to be a reason why she was here in the first place.
She grabbed her plate and took a seat across of Koha before she went to get her dinner. Sayu was used to eating alone, Reina was the only one who would sometimes come over for a snack, and that was after the incident. But, Koha just anticipated Sayu's first bite and followed her in taking bites of their food. Sayu was waiting for a conversation to happen but she needed to get the first word out.
"How long have you been here?" Sayu spoke between bites.
"Six months, I think." She looked up thinking about her stay.
"I see... I might be here for a while." Koha smiled at Sayu as the younger woman took another bite size of fish into her mouth.
Sayu thought about the next question which would probably throw their relationship away and decided to keep eating while her mind was scrambling to keep up the conversation. Then, she looked down at Koha's plate and she was almost finished, so she went into her set of questions.
"Where are you from?" Koha placed down her chopsticks to wipe her mouth.
"Tokyo, How about you?"
"Same here, but outside of the city." She bit on her lip as the hints could not lead to what just happened.
"Hmm, the townspeople are always interesting, like the one who was abused until she was eighteen. I met her once when I first came here, she wanted to become a policewoman to gain revenge on her abuser. Then, I heard her name pop up again a few days ago." Sayu felt like she swallowed a fish bone and drank the water from the pitcher.
"Really? She must have gotten him." Koha shook her head.
"She got shot in a basement, her friend admitted in shooting her but the police found prints that were not hers. So, they are trying to find the real perpetrator." Sayu felt her heart beating faster as she knew who pulled the trigger was but she wanted the police to figure it out before coming to her.
"Sorry to hear about your friend." Sayu looked away trying to not hint about the situation.
"It's okay... she was strong about becoming part of the police force that she did and I was glad she made her goal but why kill her?" Koha said to herself as Sayu placed her chopsticks on the bowl.
"Sorry, but I need my rest, maybe we can talk tomorrow?" Koha nodded and pointed to where she had to drop off her tray.
Sayu began to think to herself how Rika was ever friendly. She went along with a plan that should have been foolproof but it ended with her death. Even before her death, it was her threat that made her come to this place. She felt confused inside and the various emotions hit her at once like arrows piercing through her and planted into her organs. The pain was suddenly becoming worst and she managed to walk back to her room without crying, but once inside, she let out her frustration until she could do no more and slept.
She woke up to the sound of her door opening and the dim light came through the room. She couldn't tell if they were in the room or just peeking through but obviously someone had to been there. A few moments later, someone wrapped their arms around her and her hand was heading down to her right hip. Sayu froze as lips came centimeters towards her right ear.
"I love you." A woman's voice whispered as Sayu lost control of her body.
Chapter 21
Sayu woke up the next morning feeling tense after the night she had with her partner. Her body was covered with sweat and walked over to the showers to clean up. She began to think about Reina and how she was doing. It seemed simple to just sleep with someone on the first night but when she could press her buttons, it was a whole new story for her. Reina cuddled with her a few times before she went to rehab, but never to the extent of having sex with her. It was refreshing for her to let another person to touch her sensitive area and the water made her excited that she let out a moan as it rinsed her.
She almost had forgotten about her meeting that she rinsed off whatever she could before running back to her room. Sayu slipped on her undergarments followed by a t-shirt and shorts. As she stepped out, she felt a slight chill in the air and went back to grab her jacket before going to her meeting. The building was a maze as her previous experience of finding the cafeteria was an adventure but she took a portable map from the information center and finally got to her meeting room with five minutes to spare.
The instructor/counselor was an older woman with a v neck blouse and a black skirt; her coat had her name written on top with her specialty in small letters. She looked at Sayu as she walked in and sat right across of her in the small room. She let out a breath as she flipped through her report that she had in front of her and looked up at the time.
“Morning.” Sayu puffed out as she looked back up at the clock.
“Morning, Ms. Michishige.” She replied.
“Are we waiting for people?” Sayu asked as Koha entered the door and sat to the left of Sayu smiling at the counselor.
“Well I guess that answered your question.” She extended her hand towards Sayu. “I am Dr. Yuko Nakazawa, I am here to rehab you through your experience.”
Sayu shook her hand as she looked toward Koha, who gave her a wink and smiled, as Nakazawa went to the board to write down her thoughts for the day. Sayu saw the doctor as she felt awkward to be in the room, which she was right partially. The doctor was more researcher than counselor and it showed because she disconnected with the patients about their emotions. She was never a victim but grew interested when the amount of people being abused rose to an all-time high. However, she couldn’t handle people’s emotions and always managed to get her into positions relating to research but with the budget cuts, she had to at least take a few sessions a week.
“I want you to close your eyes and talk about yourself.” She said with a monotone beat.
Sayu began to collect her thoughts and then she felt a tug from her left. Koha had gone through this exercise a lot and she seemed to be less excited about the exercise. As Sayu opened her eyes, the doctor was staring at her; she glared hard enough to surprise Sayu about how she felt about being in the room. She opened her mouth and closed it quickly when Koha stood up.
“Doctor, can we do some other stuff?” She asked as the doctor rubbed her forehead.
“Ms. Kusumi, I know it is very repetitious for you, but the new patients need to introduce themselves as patients before we can treat them.” The doctor explained as Koha sat back down.
“I am Michishige Sayumi, my father was wealthy, and I inherited his money after he passed. Many see me as snotty or uncaring but that is because I was afraid of people using me. I came here as I was raped a year ago but only decided to rehab myself recently. Please take care of me.” Sayu bowed as the two clapped for her.
“Rape is a serious matter around the world and many don’t report it as fear of retaliation but as I read it, you were forced into the situation by corrupt police personnel.” Sayu nodded as Koha rose up.
“I heard of the story a few days ago, were you the victim?” Sayu bit down on her lip as the doctor signaled to her to sit.
“Sorry, we cannot explain who is who here, everything is kept in secret so it could be anyone but we don’t know if Sayu was the victim or not.” The doctor swept the question away and observed Sayu for a moment to manage the situation.
It felt weird that she couldn’t explain it out loud to anyone especially if she didn’t want to talk about it. Luckily, the doctor stopped the conversation to go that direction and pointed at what she wrote: TRUTH. The doctor was very methodical on the definition that Sayu began swaying back and forth in boredom. Her body felt tingles throughout as Koha moved in closer and let out a yawn to distract the doctor.
“Any questions?” The two shook their heads as the lecture was dry as day old bread and she left without saying good bye.
Sayu sat there with nothing else in mind but just staring at she felt that she needed to talk about to rid of the dark cloud. But, she felt the scar from the incident and it burned when it was even brought up mentally. She looked over at Koha as she was playing with her finger and flashed a smile to gain her attention.
“Sayu, I know you were in the middle of the incident.” She whispered as her smile disappeared.
“How do you know? Rika?” Koha nodded.
“It matches where she went for her job so it clicked that they would send you here for privacy reasons.” Sayu felt afraid to even go beyond that and left the room.
She wanted to cry, it felt weird that Rika confided in her about her job but she never knew that Rika forced her to visit the mayor that night for her own benefit. Sayu ran into her room and gathered up her bed sheets and threw it onto the floor. She lay on the bare mattress reenacting the night into her head and clamping her fingers into the wall with frustration.
“Sayu, I’m sorry, I never expected this to happen.” Koha leaned onto the door and opened it seeing her frozen on the bed.
“Why did you bring it up? The doctor told you not to go into it.” The younger woman locked the door and pulled a chair next to the bed.
“I want to know why Rika got killed. She was my best friend and she talked to me ever since I got admitted. I was only fifteen when I got here. It was a rough time for my family as my father got laid off and abused my mother until she left with another man. I was left with him and one night he was drunk and walked into my bedroom. He was a kind man but depression changed him into wretched person. He slide into my bed and fondled with my breasts for a bit until he raped me in my own bed.” Sayu turned towards her and sat up with tears rolling down her cheeks.
“I’m sorry to hear about that.” Koha smiled gently as she gripped onto the chair.
“It continued for a while until he foolishly forgot to pull out and I panicked. I flushed it out as best as I could and saw him come from behind. He was trying to apologize and in my rage I threw my hair brush at his head. He fell backwards onto a rusty nail, I called the ambulance to send him to the hospital, and I also told them about what he had done hours earlier.” Sayu nodded as Koha was now fighting back her pain.
“He died hours later as the infection hit the blood stream faster than expected and I was now in a waiting with the results. After some tests, I was pregnant. It tore me apart that I was going to become a mother and when my mother heard about my father’s death, she went ballistic over the situation. She blamed me for being a whore in place of her, which made me angry. I was now alone with another life in me but a few days later, they informed me of a false positive and there was a misreading, and then when my period had arrived I was relieved.” Koha hinted at a smile but hid it as Sayu looked up.
“Now, I was parentless and I quit school to support myself for the time being. I was doing jobs like cashiering and light stocking until an older woman came up to me to request my services. She was middle-aged, recently divorced, and seeking an assistant for her. I took up her offer and moved in with her. She was kind and took me everywhere on the first day without breaking a sweat. That night, she asked if I could sleep with her and agreed to it. I didn’t know that under the sheets she was nude and for the next couple years, I had become her lover.” Sayu’s eyes opened wide as Koha was now spreading her legs revealing her underwear accidently.
“After a year, it was alright and she spoiled me with all these gifts from her ex-husband, mainly jewelry. Then, one day he came back after he heard about me. He went up to the room and tied her up to the bed. He began to rip my clothes to shreds and was completely naked as he raped me in front of her, cursing at me and her for being lesbians. She felt guilty that she had involved me that after he finished with me, she grabbed the kitchen knife and stabbed him before stabbing herself.” Koha broke down and fell into Sayu’s arms sobbing.
Sayu couldn’t speak anymore; she was stunned about Koha’s experience in the past four years. They sat in the room exchanging hugs until the afternoon, forgetting about their mid-morning session. They calmed down and slowly showed each other smile. It was a connection felt by both of them about their difficult past and the previous night was just a step towards healing.
Koha looked down and snickered at the dirty sheets on the floor. She found a trash bag in the corner and helped Sayu clean up her room. The younger lady threw the sheets into a laundry chute while Sayu requested for new sheets. However, they both decided to spend their intimate time in Koha’s room while the sheets were en route to Sayu’s room.
Rarely anyone does write KohaSayu here's one (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=22490.0) and I wrote a one-shot in the perv section.
The relationships make the story although I don't want to make it perv heavy, implied at best
As for Koha, there will be something coming up to her unusual actions ;)
Chapter 22
Dr. Nakazawa took the long path back to her office by stepping into the research room, which had been abandoned for three months. She took three long sighs before walking away with a frown on her face. It was unusual that the day Yoshizawa left the center she knew they would look towards her if Yoshizawa ever got into trouble.
Two days had passed since Sayu was admitted and there were no phone calls to come around but the head nurse always seemed to pop her head in once or twice per day to check on her. In the back of her mind, the email that was saved onto the doctor's computer was the link they needed to connect her with the murders.
She knew the mayor from a party hosted by him and his wife. They were a lovely couple and Yuko couldn't seem to hold back her smile. The doctor drank too many glasses and flirted with him despite his wife being right by his side. She just remembered the fight that gave her a cut on her cheek which healed quickly but the words were the dagger needed for revenge.
The only problem was Rika, who she had observed, was also in feminine rage over the mayor. Her plan pulled through in getting the mayor as for the wife, she had the head nurse take control, and instructed that she needed to die. Another problem came up was the pills had a negative side effect which prolonged the period before her death. The doctor had grown frustrated that the pieces were falling in the wrong places and now the straight-edged Yasuda was on the case.
Yasuda and she were friends until a recommendation from the doctor ruined their iron-welded relationship. Rika was mentally unstable and became a maverick on the force, her first case involved abuse victims, and she was taught to shoot beanbags at the runners but she accidently brought a police-issued pistol and shot him in the hamstring.
He fell over crying in pain and realized the mistake she had made, he had been wounded a year earlier from his wife stabbing him, and the wound opened up causing him to bleed to death at the scene. She was suspended and could have been kicked off for lack of judgment but Yuko saved her. Then the incident with the mayor ended her lucky streak.
She was depressed over Rika's death and Yossie's arrest but it made her feel lighter that they were out of her way. The head nurse popped her head in again and was caught by the doctor. She walked in closed the door behind her as she took a seat in front of her. The doctor closed the blinds and they looked at each other for a moment before breaking it with a sigh.
"Dr. Nakazawa, I'm worried about you." The doctor grinned as she looked at the head nurse.
"Same here, maybe a kiss will make it better, unless your husband wants to know why you have been taking two shifts every night." The head nurse shook her head and walked over to sit on top of the doctor's lap.
“Dr. Nakazawa, I love you more than any man.” They fell into an embrace as they fell onto the floor with each other’s hands locked.
~~~
Koha never had anyone over to her room, it was prohibited for patients to visit others, but the lack of interaction made the center dull so it was opened up to share common ground. Luckily, Koha was concentrating on Sayu as they fell into bed and pulled up Sayu’s shirt to expose her midsection. The younger woman drew a heart around her navel and slid her finger under Sayu’s shorts with a sly smile on her face.
She unbutton her the shorts and left it flay for a moment while she climbed up to her lips and kiss them as her free hand ventured into her forbidden zone. After a few minutes, Koha was seriously in the mood but Sayu’s playful ability only wanted Sayu more until her face turned into a snake staring down its prey. Sayu felt the tingles run down her spine and finally backed into a wall.
“Koha, you are a demon.” Sayu was continuing her light play and Koha came closer until their bodies were pressed together.
“I know, but someone’s been bad, I wonder who…” Koha walked over to her closet and took out her paddle.
Koha held her paddle out touching the bottom of Sayu’s shirt and lifted it up before exposing her bra. She lowered the paddle and walked up to her for another embrace. They roamed the room until all the space needed to explore had ran out and plopped to the floor like they finished a marathon.
“This is so much fun.” Koha was breathing hard and looked at Sayu who had a grin on her face.
“Agreed. I never felt so great.” Sayu’s words turned her emotion to sadness as the image of Reina popped into her mind.
Sayu indeed missed them, it wasn’t going to leave her soon, but if Koha was the missing piece to bridge her with the others, she didn’t need Reina as much. However, it was the kitty who made her welcome despite being an outsider herself. She admired Reina’s passion since she arrived, it was a new page in her life and Eri was her missing piece despite going against her policy of intimacy more than once per month. Sayu did wonder if they ever did “it” before and suddenly the image bulled into her mind.
“Sayu… SAYU! Are you okay?” Koha shook Sayu out of her dream and faked a smile to comfort her.
“Yeah, sorry about that. I have friends where I come from who cared for me after the incident, they were nice to me even though I treated them rudely.” The younger woman went onto her knees and crawled onto Sayu’s body, straddling her at the waist.
“That is great. When we get released, I want to visit. Maybe, even live there with you.” Koha pushed her lips on to Sayu while clamping down her hands to the floor.
~~
“Dr. Nakazawa, calling Dr. Nakazawa.” The PA system rang as the doctor was buttoning up her blouse on the floor.
The doctor walked out hair frayed at the roots and looked down to see a lone police officer waiting by the receptionist. She pressed down her hair as she stepped down to the bottom floor and greeted the officer with a smile.
“I’m Abe, an associate of Yasuda’s.” Her smile froze her as the police had come to her work place.
The doctor felt her heart beating faster as the words were becoming mumbled with every second and she felt everything spinning until the officer stopped. She looked with a quizzical face and took the officer to the empty meeting room.
“Ms. Yajima, can you please get coffee for both of us?” The receptionist smiled and bowed to both as she went on her way.
Dr. Nakazawa analyzed through the officer’s face and she was here more for a greeting than interrogation and she got comfortable as the officer placed her hat on the table.
“How’s Yasuda?” The doctor asked as the officer blushed red in embarrassment.
“She’s been busy with work and has everyone satisfied at the force.” The doctor smirked at her.
“The usual I guess, since she has no life at all.” The doctor shook her head as the coffee arrived in front of them. Nakazawa threw a 1,000 yen note to her and she walked away pocketing the money.
“What do you mean?” Her smile got wider as she leaned in.
“That woman loves to play with her friends; she didn’t show you her toys?” Abe sat back as the discussion was not going as planned.
“Sorry to change the subject but I wanted to talk to you about Ishikawa Rika; you had her as a patient here right?” Yuko nodded.
“How long?”
“A year I think, she was quite demoralized after she was abused.” Nakazawa explained.
“I see, many on the force thought she was a maverick on the force and it cost her life because of her stupidity.” Abe let her opinion be known despite being on the record.
“Did Yasuda ever take her out?” Abe felt unsure about the question and looked down at her book.
Nakazawa didn’t like when her questions weren’t being answered and she stared at her until the other person blinked. Then, she pushed her onto her back and she looked down as the officer’s legs were flailing in the air. Abe felt something under her back and the legs couldn’t seem to be placed back down. Nakazawa smiled as she flipped her phone and dialed her superior.
“Hello Nakazawa.” Yasuda greeted her.
“Hey are we getting old, miss Yasuda?” She laughed back at the doctor.
“Did Abe not answer a question about me?” Nakazawa chuckled.
Nakazawa dropped the phone to Abe and Yasuda screamed at her for being disobedient and told her to roll over to not expose herself to the doctor. Abe hanged up and gave back the phone as her smile turned into fear. The doctor held her chin and looked into her eyes.
“Next time you don’t answer a direct question, Yasuda will never see you again on the force, and your time together will only be pain with me, understand?” She nodded and took her hat with her as she rushed out of the building.
“Michishige and Kusumi shall be the next victims.” Nakazawa said to herself as she walked out of the room.

I guess its quite disturbing with all the stuff, although Yuko and Nacchi make any scene interesting :nervous
Chapter 23
A few weeks passed by and Reina and Eri were still being questioned in their involvement. It was simple that Rika kidnapped Sayu and she was shot by accident as they reached for the gun but Yasuda Kei was not in the mood to believe the two. A police officer was shot and to top it off the police had to pay for the woman’s rehabilitation, she felt embarrassed to be called a policewoman, and the townspeople were still in shock that the two were important figureheads below the mayor were killed or arrested.
Aika was most devastated about Yossie being arrested that she had to be pulled out to work. Reina had once waived at her only to find an orange flung back at her. It took her a few days to get the story straighten out by Yasuda, who was leading the effort to calm the stories of the corrupted police, and it seemed to work until a deputy came out drunk and destroyed a wooden pole with his gun.
Yasuda loved being with her female deputies, it was sure that she could drink, have fun, and then sleep in bed with them. However, it brought them closer as a group and they could coordinate better until Ishikawa Rika was assigned to her group. She despised her as a cop. She lacked any experience, mentally unstable, and the worst trait a quick trigger.
Nakazawa was confident in her abilities to do the job as a junior on their squad but she never wanted to hang with the others and decided to stay behind with files in her hands. She admitted leaving Rika behind was mistake #1 and then meeting Yoshizawa on her unsupervised patrols was mistake #2. She hated Yoshizawa because she was Nakazawa’s person to look after and fell in love with Rika despite rules to keep personal and professional affairs separate.
Then, by her suggestion, Rika had been removed from the group, but became rogue with Yoshizawa to go into the town. Yasuda and her colleagues decided to celebrate at a bar and then take it back to the hotel room for private time. It only took four hours to make the suite from luxurious to dumpster. Her deputies at the time were all women in their late twenties and were men haters. The orgy was filled with booze, sweat, and loud moans that even a family could tell what they were doing across the hall. Yasuda was pleased that no man was going to ruin their party until the next morning.
Her boss, Takeura Shinjo, called her with a surprise of Rika’s whereabouts. Her head was now spinning out of control with the deputies hanging onto her body as she ordered room service. It took an hour to get all of them up to speed with Ishikawa becoming a rogue agent. Yasuda knew she need surveillance but in a small town, it could not be set up quickly to even avoid anyone roaming the streets without getting asked. So, she decided to take a police truck and parked it outside the town limits, it had handy camouflage like billboard signs and cop car decoys so no one could really question the antics.
However, a few days later, the mayor had passed on, and the crew was on high alert by Takeura’s orders but was not given jurisdiction to even search the crime scene. Yasuda had become annoyed by Rika to the point that Nakazawa had to take personal leave to not hear the bitch’s voice every minute. However, after a few months, their truck got removed from their care and was now back on the streets. Then, Rika’s position had been filled by a young officer named Abe Natsumi, she was more obedient than the previous person but she was naïve to let anyone near her. Yasuda spent the first night making her drunk enough to strip in the hotel room, which was successful up to the point of revealing her body to them. They were satisfied with her bra and panties on before she passed out from drunkenness and embarrassment.
It was not until a month ago that they were called in to investigate into Rika by Shota. Yasuda and Shota were buddies in high school, it was rumored that they went out one time, but it was between friends and they had a mutual relationship. Yasuda had learned that Shota was an assistant to the mayor and was elected based by the people, which didn’t surprise her, but the call about Rika was a whole another story.
He had closed down the town as a matter of safety and the people were now looking at the millionaire’s house with concern. The first hour was a still picture of them witnessing any movement or sounds, Shota was concerned that Rika had poisoned the town, and needed to rid of her quickly. At the end of the second hour, a shot was heard and everyone ran back into their homes. One of the deputies saw four women at the table with one wielding a weapon towards the other three. Shota stepped forward and crept towards them as everyone were pawns on the chessboard. One move triggered all the events leading to Yossie’s arrest.
Now, Yasuda had all the evidence locked in the truck as they made base in the town. Rika’s body had been sent out and the basement was cleaned of any blood. Since she had the forensics background, Yasuda looked over all the finger prints and knew who pulled the trigger: Eri. However, it seemed logical that Eri had shot in self-defense, because of Rika’s mental state of capturing Sayu. Yet, Reina, who had a criminal record, was sparkling clean of any crime, which surprised her.
It was reason that Reina had to give the nun the gun instead of her and she could have been shot by demand, but it got shot down by Eri’s account of Rika charging her like a bull and she pulled it as a precaution, hitting her square in the head. It was predominantly the story among the group but Yasuda was not convinced of the nun’s actions and dug into Reina’s past as a security blanket. She knew that Reina could not win a lot of battles with her record and the best thing was to avoid wrapping it up. Abe, who was only there to get drinks for her colleagues, was sent away to interview Nakazawa and to also check on Sayu.
She knew the junior could get an interview as long as she played by her rules and could interview Sayu if she gotten lucky. A day later, Abe had resigned her position because of Nakazawa’s conduct towards her and Yasuda backing her friend instead of her, she pulled herself out of the way and decided to play compliance over the investigation, which gave her authority to bully Yasuda if she wanted too.
In addition, Abe was now a free person to will her way through a closed investigation. She had sent a letter recommending that it should be over and nothing more could be done with the death. However, she called Abe incompetent and jealous of their investigation that it could be opened up to make her the hero. Yasuda had won her argument and Abe was now a drunk.
Takahashi felt awful about Abe after the story with Nakazawa, her grin etched a nightmare about being controlled, and how she admired the police officer’s underwear made her a nervous wreck. Luckily, Risa and Reina were buddies with her as the investigation seemed to drag on forever. Abe was taken aback with the atmosphere of the police, she was cursed at first for being one but the people soon understand that she did try to beat the system and failed. But, she was a lightweight with drinking and they had forced her to stop as soon as her cleavage became center of attention. Eri was her guardian within the church and Reina was quite amused by Abe’s drunken behavior.
“Her breasts are huge.” Eri commented when Natsumi opened up her shirt.
“Well, do you want to compare?” Reina joked as Eri tried to cover the body.
“I think it would haunt me to see anyone else except for my own.” Eri was now fighting for control but Reina was feeling anxious.
“One day we should sleep together as a couple.” The kitty spitted out, catching Eri by surprise.
“Cute couple.” Abe smiled as she closed her eye.
“One day, just not now.” Eri silenced everyone and walked out to avoid another long conversation with either woman.

Here's an update!
Chapter 25
Reina woke up on the bed alone covered by a blanket. She looked down and noticed she was in her bra and panties. She wrapped her body with the blanket and walked around the ground floor to find if anyone was in the church. She looked over to the right to see Nacchi with the turtle giving its meal. The kitty watched the turtle eat its meal slowly chomping at the lettuce leaf.
“Eri said that she went to Yasuda’s office to talk about the incident.” Reina’s eyes opened up and she desperately scrounged around for her clothes.
“Why would she go there? Didn’t she notice that Ishikawa was working under her?” Nacchi turned her head and avoided contact with Reina.
“Ishikawa… I hated her… Good she died.” Nacchi spoke under her breath while Reina put on a t-shirt and shorts to go out to Yasuda’s office.
Reina looked at the former police officer and closed her hand into a fist. She had a feeling that Nacchi may have told her to see Yasuda but she wasn’t convinced that Nacchi would set her up. So, Reina forced Nacchi to go with her to visit Yasuda. At first, she was hesitant but she knew that guilt wouldn’t carry far if she hid away from the force so she trailed her by couple of feet. They walked up to the portable office where one of the officers looked at the kitty.
“The nun is inside for questioning, we cannot have anyone bothering her.” The kitty looked up at her eyes then scanned her body quickly.
“I see. I wanted to ask why she came in for questioning.” The officer shook her head.
“Cannot answer that sorry.” After she got denied, Reina placed her hands on her chest and gave her a grin.
“Well, I guess you can tell me about what turns Nacchi on, right?” The officer resisted smiling but she couldn’t hold her strength to the warmth from her hands.
“She is so sensitive that a caressing makes her moan. The best part that she is obedient. Her tongue made me go off many times.” Reina reached over to the belt and swipe the keys from her while she wasn’t looking. Reina stuck it into her pocket and thank her for giving her pointers.
The kitty walked over and brought her to the officer. Reina slid her hands under her shirt and rubbed her midsection to the former officer’s surprise. She lifted the shirt up a little and held her hands over her bra. Nacchi saw the wink from the kitty and she let out a loud moan to catch the attention of the townspeople. The officer moved them to the side while Reina motioned her hands on her breasts until the officer forced her to stop.
She had beads of sweat running down the sides of her head and her hands started to shake uncontrollably that she dropped her hat while wiping off the sweat. Nacchi moved towards her and kissed her ear down to her neck, every kiss hit her sensitive spot until she fell to the ground motioning to keep Nacchi away from her.
“I give in; Eri’s prints were on the gun. Yasuda believed that Eri shot her to protect Sayu and she wanted to lock her away to rid of Sayu.” In her panicked state, she spilled everything to the ground.
Nacchi held her hand over her mouth as she couldn’t believe that she was gonna set up the nun for murder. Reina ran over to the mayor’s house to get him before Yasuda can convince him to send Eri away. Unfortunately, he had plans to go away for a bit coming from the maid, who was concerned about Yasuda’s presence in the town. The kitty was out of luck to get someone to help her so she had to take matters into her own hands.
~~
Shota was pleased to hear Sayu’s progress in the rehab center that she could be released early only after a month of therapy so he personally took the limousine to the rehab center to pick up her. He sat comfortably in the back seat until the entrance of the center. The driver heard a loud explosion near the front of the car and looked out to find the tire was flat. Shota decided to walk in on his own and felt an ominous presence near him but ignored it until he got to the receptionist.
“Hello, is Michishige ready to be picked up?” The receptionist looked at her computer and offered him a key to the meeting room. He thought it would be quick but the flat had led him to stall for now.
Nakazawa was in her office as she heard that Shota had arrived in the meeting room and she held her crooked smile as Sayu walked into the meeting room to find the mayor with a cup of tea in his hand and greeting the townsperson warmly with a smile. The millionaire sat next to him despite feeling nervous to talk to Shota but it was a way to rehabilitate her shyness around people.
“I can’t believe you came here to pick me up.” Sayu said with a fake smile on her face, hiding her disappointment.
“I am the mayor, you know. I am responsible for everyone.” He put his cup down as Nakazawa walked in with a grin on her face.
“Hello, we are going to release her today as you know and I feel comfortable that she can fit back in without any problems, however, Sayu has requested that Koha may come with her. We as a clinic cannot do that unfortunately she is not well enough to travel.” Sayu frowned as she looked at the mayor.
“I guess it is under your roof, you make the decision, but I think Sayu meant visit. Koha may not be able to live in the town but what we can do is give her a little freedom to search around for a bit. I am able to spare some cost if it is possible.” Nakazawa shook her head calmly.
“We cannot allow her to leave the facilities, mayor, and that’s final.” Sayu stood up in protest but Shota signaled to her to sit down. Then, a yell came from outside as the body of the head nurse was found in the closet as Koha was going to grab the broom.
The younger woman stood over her in shock as she started to tear up in surprise as it was now stiff and Nakazawa looked over at Koha to gain attention of the guards on hand. They grabbed her and shoved her into another room while she was yelling about the body. The doctor stood over the body as the eyes were now burnt into her memory and watched as they dragged it off to the morgue.
Shota held his hand up to his face to shield the dead body but after seeing Koha dragged off, he was now more certain to bring her along too. Nakazawa was now in a pickle as they both Koha watch over the body and she dragged them back hiding a gun under her coat. She pulled out a pistol and cocked the gun to aim at the two.
“What is this all for?” Shota asked as the barrel was inches from his head.
“Ishikawa Rika. You killed her just to justify her from the crowd.” Nakazawa stated as she looked over at Sayu.
“Rika set me up to kill the mayor off and you blame us for outcasting her? You made her a nutcase in here.” Nakazawa fired a bullet in the air and was coming closer to Sayu.
“After this is over, no one will ever know that Rika covered the murder up of the mayor.” She cocked it back one more time and then someone bulled down the door. Her shot went toward the person barely missing her shoulder to the right and she tossed electrodes onto the doctor’s body. She turned it to full power shocking the doctor out of consciousness.
“SAYU! Let’s get out of here.” Koha yelled as the mayor followed them to the emergency car and ran through the bushes for their escape. Sayu and Shota tried to put their pieces together but it was as confusing as anyone would think but something was happening and they were pawns in the game.

@Sora: Yasuda and Nakazawa are quite an evil duo but the question is how can it unravel to get both of them into the act of committing crime of conspiracy :nervous
Chapter 26
Reina ran back to the area where Nacchi had been surrounded by her former co-workers. She tried to hold her stance as long as possible but she knew being outnumbered wouldn’t help her cause and charged the first person she could attack. She got her to the ground but the assisted in taking Nacchi off her and delivered a shot into her midsection. She hunched over holding her midsection without notice another kick came from her back landing precisely on the backbone causing her to bent back opening up for a punch to her face. Reina jumped towards the closest one striking her in the neck.
“Bitch. That was a cheap shot.” She replied but the kitty was well aware that the numbers were against her.
The first who charged had short hair and was a little bigger than the rest. The kitty stepped back to avoid her tackle and used her momentum to drive her into the ground. She turned to look at Reina with a scratch on the right side of her face and charged again with the same result on the other side. The other two came from her back and successfully took her down to the ground. Nacchi attacked them with handful of dust and pushed one of them to the ground. She got her taser and jammed it into her hip causing her to be paralyzed. She held it up to deter the other two from the kitty.
Nacchi tossed the taser away from her, dismantling the weapon against a rock. Reina ran toward the interrogation room and knocked it over. Yasuda stood up and looked at Reina as she stood in the doorway. Eri was tied up with rope and looked exhausted from struggling. Reina and Nacchi entered into the room locking with Yasuda. They turned on the light and stared at her while eyeing Eri.
“Why pick on her?” Reina asked breaking the silence in the room.
“Because you seem to be infecting her mind with your ways.” Yasuda walked up to the kitty bumping her from her spot.
“Eri never did anything and even if you found her prints, how could you charge her with pulling the trigger?” Yasuda smirked at the question and lifted the nun’s chin.
“She admitted it already. So, you cannot do anything.” Reina closed her hand into a fist and felt Nacchi holding her back from striking the officer.
Reina drew herself away from the scene and just looked at Eri. She was worn out and her face looked bruised as she had been tortured. She lifted her face up and stared into her eyes as Eri started to tear up and it gave Reina to the strength to not give up on her friend. Nacchi shook her head as she knew Yasuda had tortured her for the information, she felt like a bomb ready to explode but she had to keep patient observing the kitty.
“You are trash.” She said under her breath causing Yasuda to move closer to her.
“What did you say?”
“You are trash to me, like with Rika, Eri, and Nacchi. You treated everyone like trash and now you shall be punished.” Yasuda smiled as she took out her baton and held it up like she was ready to strike.
“I guess you need to kill me to prevent the nun from going to jail but you cannot do that because you’ll end up forever away from her, tough choice, eh?” Reina smiled as she watched the baton switching in her hands and tried to outsmart the officer.
Nacchi stood in the corner as the two rounded the room and Yasuda juked out the kitty causing her to stumble backwards but was quick to pick herself up. Then, Reina got her into a perfect spot as she slowly loosened the rope under Yasuda’s eyes as they circled the room until Reina dropped to her knees. She held her hands out surrendering to her but didn’t expect the baton to smack her shoulder. The kitty dropped to the floor in pain holding her right shoulder as Yasuda started to laugh and didn’t see the book coming towards her head. Yasuda dropped to the floor with a gash on her head.
“Nacchi, thank you.” Reina held up her left thumb and helped Eri out of the chair.
They were now locked in the room with the unconscious body without any exit. The kitty’s arm felt numb but it was slowly coming back to feeling normal. The bruise was remarkable and the joint felt swollen from the direct hit. Nacchi did some quick thinking and looked for a distraction to get them out of the room. She found a loaded gun and aimed it toward the door knob. She pulled the trigger and busted it open to let the rest come charging in while they slipped out untouched.
The trio ran to the mayor’s house to hide from the police and luckily got in the house without question. The group looked at the house and surrounded it as it was a hostage situation. Reina saw the maid and asked for medical attention about her shoulder, it had grown to a size of a golf ball and the pain was driving the kitty to the brink of blacking out. Yet, all she saw was Eri tired and her body was limp from being tied up, the maid looked over at her and grabbed a glass of water for the nun.
“Why did you let me escape? I pulled the trigger.” Reina shook her head.
“What we know shouldn’t have been brought out. Telling the truth is right in most cases but to a dirty cop, it reveals weakness. I know you are a good person, you don’t have to show anything to give me an impression but I cannot leave you to take the blame. If you are going to jail, I will go for you in my place.” She patted her on the head as the nun broke down in tears.
“Reina… you like Eri a lot, maybe to the extent of loving her. I heard everything last night and it felt innocent that you could make her wonderful despite the circumstances.” Reina interrupted her.
“I also like someone else too. She thought me that first impressions are not as important as they realize what their mistakes are. Eri has thought me that purity is within my own self, I may have been dirty before but I feel cleansed with Eri’s love and hope to improve.” Nacchi smiled as she felt the passion Reina had inside and they sat down in the middle of the room upstairs planning out their next move.
~~
Shota saw the town limits in sight and sped up to the border until it suddenly stopped with police blocking them out. The mayor walked out to see his house was being surrounded, he went through, and began to wonder who was in there. Sayu and Koha watched as the crowd from outside grow with the situation.
“Reina…” Sayu said softly as the police were now in position to take down the door.
Sayu held onto Koha’s hand until she couldn’t take the pressure anymore and jumped out of the car into the crowd. Shota held her back as it slowly was coming to him; he called off the attack on his house, and let him go inside where he followed the scent up to the bedroom where four people were inside hiding below the window.
“What happened when I was gone?” He shouted in frustration as it was now a circus outside.
“Yasuda was trying to put blame on Eri.” Reina answered as Shota put his face into his hands.
“I see, but if it was self-defense, she could get away free.” Shota explained as Nacchi shook her head.
“Yasuda has a trump card with the judges. I knew she could use it at any time to convict someone of any petty crime she wanted. We needed Eri out of her grasp so we rescued her and Yasuda should be coming out of consciousness soon. Then, a voice blared out from the crowd stating that Yasuda was up from her injury. After a short pause, a shot went through the window and changed their positions inside.
Sayu heard the shot and ducked for cover by the front door as she rushed into the living room. The police was now in an awkward position of having more people than expected in the house. They blockaded everything outside the house and now it was a situation they had to solve quickly.
Yasuda was not accustomed to hostage situations but she had to take charge despite the headache she had now. She held the mega phone up to her lips and began to think of what to say next but her throat had become so parched that any word would sound awful. She sat back down on the bench to get a drink of water, the townspeople began to question about why they were in the house and it was becoming one big conspiracy of lies within the players of the performance.
Sayu slowly walked up the stairs and tiptoed to the room where everyone was in, she looked at Eri first, who was visibly beaten up, and then over at the kitty where her face was cold as ice. Sayu sat down and began to breathe normally as it entered its first hour. The place was supremely quiet and it was everyone taking their angles at what they had to do next and the ball was now in their court.

Ah, i see. I shall be waiting for the next update then :D

Chapter 27
Koha became impatient waiting in the car but the shot from outside gave her the relief she needed to confirm her decision. She took deep breaths in minute intervals as the events were now more of a waiting game and then the realization that Nakazawa could be chasing after her entered into her mind. She ran out of the car and avoided the crowd by hiding behind the grocery for a bit before seeing the church up ahead.
Koha ran and slip into the church without anyone noticing her and strolled up the altar. She went down to her knees and put her hands together to start her prayer. After a few minutes, she felt something nudging her knee and opened her eyes to see a turtle walking around her. She observed its pace and noticed it continually walking across her path. She lowered her hands and walked back out to see the crowd gathering around the house.
“Are you okay?” A voice echoed into ears and looked to her right to a woman with a black apron on.
“Not really.” Koha answered with her hands still shaking looking at the people.
Risa began to wonder about her and offered her lunch to Koha. She ate it slowly as her concentration was on the house and Risa took a seat next to her. The baker was concerned for her but visitors were under a microscope so she left her a bottle of water before going back into the bakery. Koha looked toward the house and let out a deep breath before walking towards the crowd.
~~
Maimi started to take off the electrodes from the doctor’s body, the nurses rushed into the room to revive her, and she woke up with heaviness in her head. She looked up at the lights before pouncing up to see the three had left the clinic ten minutes ago based on the clock as she walked into the meeting room. She walked out through the front and noticed one of the vehicles was not on the property and she took the backup to the town.
Her mind was filled with rage as Koha escaped without permission and she was responsible despite she could have been released earlier if it wasn’t for Rika being released around that time. Nakazawa regretted releasing Rika after Yasuda had given her a rogue objective but she wanted to rid of her to work on Koha by herself.
She pressed down on the gas and ran through the bumpy road without realizing that she was speeding through traffic. The doctor opened up her compartment and saw a baton. She remembered that all the cars had weapons for defense purposes and it bothered her that it wasn’t the gun, the trio ran away with. The doctor was right along the town limits as she slowed the car down and walked out with the baton.
She began to see a crowd growing outside a house and the police’s megaphone blaring through the area and assumed they were in there holding up the house. She hurriedly saw the stolen car and opened the door to find the gun still in the compartment. The doctor hid in the car waiting for her time to get a perfect angle.
~~
Sayu sneezed to break the silence in the room and she stared at Reina for a bit before looking away from her. Reina’s stomach started to cramp from the anxious crowd outside and the police was informing them about their next actions. The kitty crawled out of the room and ran to the bathroom to relieve herself. Eri saw Reina ran out was now only alone with the mayor, who was staring at the table below the broken window; she was occupied with Sayu’s expressions as she began to ponder her thoughts.
“Shall we surrender?” Shota asked the crowd and they all shook their heads.
“We cannot do that. Eri will be exposed as the murderer despite what has happened up til now.” Nacchi explained and Shota bit down on his lip as he pondered for a better solution.
“What shall we do then?” He asked as the room had become tight-lipped until a crawling kitty came in from the bathroom.
“We have to expose the plan without giving ourselves up.” Reina said bluntly as Shota began to put the pieces together of the events from a year ago til now.
Shota had remembered about Ishikawa was admitted and released from the hospital. Yossie was her right hand person to assist with the killing that had put Nakazawa and Yasuda together in the plans. After she died, Yasuda had come in to find the person who killed Ishikawa and it was from Nakazawa that she was mentally unbalanced to be a police officer but it would have been better if she had a profession that could help all the players out. Now with Sayu being released, she needed someone to finish up the job and then she realized Koha was the person to cover up everything but she was keeping tabs on the events outside.
Shota put his back on the carpet to think and then another shot went through the wall to excite the group in the room. The maid felt thirsty and stood up in the room, Reina tried to tackle her down, but a shot came flying through hitting her between the shoulder blades. She fell like a hunted animal and bled quickly on the floor.
“Shit. Fucking Yasuda gotta be crazy.” Shota said out loud as watched the maid lose her battle with the wound.
Shota dialed up a friend who was familiar to both of them in police service. He was a retired police officer at the same level as Yasuda when he left. Ohta Masanori had been sleeping as his home phone rang, he wasn’t particularly sure who was calling and left it to his wife to answer. She picked up the phone and the pleasant voice automatically made her turn her phone to the husband.
“Masa, we have a problem.” His eyes started to open up to hear the familiar voice.
“Shota, I have no authority to help you.” He took the phone off his ear until he heard the megaphone from outside. He placed it back on his ear and shook his head.
“Yasuda is outside isn’t she? Did she take over my position?” Shota paused for a bit before coming with an answer.
“I think so and she is trying to get a person convicted of murder for something she had been conspired from a year ago.” The old man thought no person in the police would be crooked especially Yasuda but the story of the police officer shot in a small town came to his mind.
“You have to be kidding me. If it all makes sense, a lot of people will be going down with the cover up.” The conclusion forced the old man to stand up and look for his shoes.
“Yes, but I don’t know how deep it will get us, so contact the chief as soon as possible and offer him my number to call.” Shota gave his number and hung up on Ohta.
The mayor was now concerned over who he could trust in the police force. He scanned over everyone and closed his hand into a fist. He crawled over and prayed for his maid with his hand on her lukewarm body. He dragged her away from the door and they all started to crawl over the blood stain which was soaking the carpet and ran to another room on the other side of the house where he kept his weapons.
He knew emotions would make the situation worst so he took charge on what he should use for protection. Shota never used it to kill but he knew self-defense would be his only key to win over everyone. He instructed Sayu to the basement where a window was low enough to take a view of the outside. Reina jumped into the group gathering and admired the small arms.
“I know about your past and I am impressed that you had survived through everything that you had gone through. So, take this gun and enter into the closed room. The window is covered with shading, so crawl inside and take cover as soon as possible.” The kitty nodded and followed suit.
Nacchi and Eri were left for instructions but Shota avoided them as they would be the weak points of the mission and they stayed in the weapons room as Shota ran up to the basement to join Sayu from the top. Now, it was to see what their move was to make. The match had now heated up to volleying with tactics.

the plot just keeps on thickening another person down due to the evil duo and their stupi ways i hope Sayu Shota Eri Nacchi Reina and maybe Koharu? Can get through this AND OMG Maimi is with the bad guys? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :panic:
Waiting for the next updateeeeee! :thumbsup

Well Maimi is an innocent bystander in the story, she had to help without knowing the truth so let's see how everything goes :nervous
Chapter 28
Ohta looked at his wife with conviction. He promised that when he retired from the force that he would not try anything stupid. He was ailing from a bad back and weak knees when he left and it still hurt because of his lack of exercise. His wife nodded as she saw him with something on his mind and gave her a hug before leaving with a white dress shirt and black slacks covered by his infamous black coat.
He was unfamiliar with cell phones so he carried a book filled with his superiors’ numbers. He was keen at where the people were located and with some inside information. He had the chart in his mind and knew that Yasuda and Takeura were not going to be trusted. He flipped through his book and fingered a name he hated but he was his best choice into dig into the background of the situation. Ohta stuck in his phone card and dialed the digits to his number.
“Hello, how may I help you?” He said with a calm voice which caught Ohta off guard.
“Kanemura, long time no hear.” He greeted as the other person let out a strong laugh.
“Ohta-san how’s retirement?” Ohta bit down on his lip and he wanted to get around the small talk.
“Sucks with the wife but I called you to help me with a problem.” Ohta heard a door closed and heard Kanemura’s breath into the speaker.
“I am a week away from retirement but if it involves a little fun let me in on it.” Ohta laughed as he shook his head.
“Meet me at Café Espresso and we can discuss the details.” Ohta hung up and couldn’t believe Kanemura was calmer than when he left but it gave him the impression that he was the right guy to call.
Ohta walked down three blocks casually bumping his back to relieve the pain, after a few bumps he switch his attention to his knees and managed to get to the café without any more issues. The waiter offered him a seat outside the building and since it was overcast it gave him a little time to catch some rays. A few minutes later, a man with a light brown jacket sat across him and Ohta wiped his eyes to see Kanemura was looking great.
“Long time no see, Ohta.” He offered his hand to shake and Ohta did so.
“Kanemura, you look great. I guess when you are lighter; you don’t get so anal with your fellow workers, eh?” Kanemura laughed as he looked at the waiter to order a coffee.
“I’m still hard with the others but you were stubborn as hell. Thanks for being ass when you were working.” Ohta shook his head and ordered ice coffee.
Ohta stared at his enemy of twenty years for a quick second before snapping back into reality. Kanemura was an internal affairs officer when Ohta was still on the force. He hated Ohta for his many scandals among the peers. The one that frustrated Kanemura the most was when they first met, he had instructed Ohta to stay away from a murder case that was related with his cousin as the suspect. He disobeyed orders and did his own research to find his cousin not guilty of the murder but by using his own resources to solve a case he was not on would led to an automatic suspension. However, the chief excused him from any punishment because the detective on the case was convinced without looking at the evidence which had indicated the cousin’s alibi had held up.
Since that case, Kanemura knew how Ohta was cunning with cases that he was not actively working on and tried to find every loophole to close but he failed ultimately because of Ohta’s skills. However, when Ohta left the force, Kanemura was relieved that he was now gone and he could maintain control over the force but in the back of his mind, he truly respected him for his diligent work, and no one could ever replace him. It was reason that he felt apologetic when he received the call and heard his voice again after his retirement.
“So, Ohta, what is your problem?” The coffee arrived in front of him as he saw the coffee in ice for his tablemate.
“Yasuda, what do you know about her involvement in the town?” Kanemura’s eyes widened with the thought of the case in his head.
“She’s finding the Rika’s Ishikawa’s killer. Why do you ask?” Ohta took a sip and sat back in his chair.
“Shota thinks Yasuda is trying to hide something.” Kanemura smiled before tasting his black coffee and put a few sugar packets and cream.
“Inoue Shota, one of our best and he decided to get into politics. I heard he is mayor in the town.” Ohta nodded and took another sip of his drink.
“Well, I am currently looking into the case because this Ishikawa was not right for the job in the first place.” Ohta swallowed a couple of ice cubes and lost his breath for a moment.
“Why would anyone employ someone who isn’t right?” His tablemate nodded as he stroked his chin.
“That is my concern and it has been a year to figure it out. Then, I found a recommendation from a doctor named Nakazawa Yuko, she isn’t a practitioner but a researcher. It seems fishy that anyone would accept something like that and I have put together a theory.” Ohta leaned in.
“Yasuda and Nakazawa used Ishikawa for their dealings and when Ishikawa had gained control, they forced someone to shoot her but something along the way went wrong and Ishikawa was killed by accident. Now, if they catch a killer they become heroes but they can’t be because Ishikawa killed the former mayor which was ordered by Yasuda. If you want to question about the hired killing, I found proof that Ishikawa was used.” Ohta smiled as the pieces were being presented in front of him.
“However, the issue is I am retiring and if I send in my report, it will bruise the force, and will leave me as a sore old man, who wanted to ruin his former employer.” Kanemura took another sip of his coffee with a depressed look on his face.
“This isn’t you. I know you want to send it in and leave with no regrets. But, I want you to go further and send a group in to the town and nullify Yasuda.” Kanemura smirked as Ohta was back to his old ways.
“Fine. Internal affairs will clean this up and you can thank Shota for being the informant.” Kanemura asked for the check and Ohta paid for his share.
Ohta handed the last piece of information that would help Kanemura with his plan and Ohta walked back to his house with a smile on his face.
~~
Reina stood next to the window and peeked through the shade to see the group surrounding the front of the house. She slowly opened the window and slid the pistol under the window. She left the barrel out and the trigger was on her side. The kitty patiently sat down waiting for the next move and decided to close her eyes for a bit as the silence helped her to where everyone was in the scene.
Sayu looked through the window and saw the crowd down below filled with police. Shota looked down and slid the barrel into the hole and shot into an empty space in front of them. The crowd shattered as Yasuda looked up and tried to find the place where the shot came from. Reina blindly pulled the trigger and it managed to hit one of Yasuda’s deputies in the arm. Yasuda started to show her frustration that she shot the window where Reina was and it shattered next to her. Reina ran out of the room and walked into the weapons room to close the door.
Shota heard the door to the weapons room closed and then closed the lid to the basement. He winked to Sayu as he tried to calm her down after the shot that hit the window. Shota walked over to other side of the room and lifted up another door to lead them down to another area. He had found this area when he was trying to find documents for the mayor but it also served for another use: surveillance. Sayu saw the views of all the cameras and then the view of the weapons room where three people were now inside. Then, the cameras outside caught two were ready to bust in at any time. Shota knew there was an emergency system throughout the house so he taped into the communication system to get Reina prepared for the break-in. The kitty looked up at the camera and waived as she flashed her weapon as they waited for them to come in. A few seconds later, two broke down the door and they were in the living room cautiously walking through.
“3… 2… 1… GO!” Reina walked out and got one shot off hitting him in the neck before running back into the weapons room.
Yasuda heard one shot and she closed her eyes in disappointment. Then, she heard a click from behind her and it was Nakazawa with a gun to Yasuda’s head. The officer turned and it was now faced toward her cheek as she saw Nakazawa grin toward her. Yasuda slowly put her hands up and they walked away slowly away from the house. The lone officer inside became confused and ran out grabbing his partner out of the house.
“Wait, it might be a set up.” Shota instructed and they were given a moment of rest to plan.
-
Oh Maimi shouldnt have done that!! She shouldve stayed a bystander but.. now look. lol getting herself tingled in this mess.
yeah i smell something fish too, and Im glad Shota called that out.. I believe that is a set up. I wouldnt go if i was them!! Yasuda and Nakazawa have something up their sleeves Im SURE of it why would partners in crime go against each other unless Nakazawa is really THAT evil. Which would be true but im not FULLY believing that.... :smhid
Im not sure about Ohta either! Lol or maybe im over doing it there. :sweatdrop: ... Idk this is all so intriguing its so crazy how everything changed lol
-
No one can be trusted and I guess the suspicions grow over everyone involved.
Chapter 29
Nakazawa had beads of sweat running down the sides of her head as she grew anxious over the situation unfolding. The police looked unprepared as shots started going off which threw off the doctor’s plan. She knew that she couldn’t draw attention to the car so she climbed over to the passenger’s side to exit the vehicle. She sat down on the dirt to take a few breaths and looked over the hood at the group of policemen.
“Yasuda, this bullet is for you.” She said to herself before pulling the trigger hitting an unsuspecting officer in the shoulder.
The second shot in the same direction caught the target and every one was heading her direction. It was her last move to finish the game. Yasuda felt the bullet entry into her ribs and started screaming in pain as they called for medical assistance. The group was scattered in both directions giving Koha a free path to the house and she managed to hide behind a tree.
~~
“Koha!” Sayu yelled as she wanted to exit the room but Shota grabbed her arm.
“It’s too dangerous; let her find her way in.” Shota instructed as Sayu began to clamp her hands together in prayer.
~~
Nakazawa wounded a few of Yasuda’s men before leaving the last bullet for her. They drew closer and pulled it to receive the final bullet and collapsed next to the car. Without notice, the officers stopped and watched the last minutes of her life wither away with the bullet wound. The officers hovered over the doctor as they saw her smile and closed her eyes peacefully.
Koha was now cleared but with the officers concentrating on Yasuda, she only had a few seconds to run into the house without notice. She took a full breath and bulled through the door, she knew that her only chance was the stairs and stumbled onto the staircase as one started shooting a round into the house. Koha managed to avoid the bullets and arrived upstairs only with a bruise on her right shin.
~~
Yasuda winced as they watched her slowly losing strength with the lone wound causing her to lose massive amounts of blood. Then, a helicopter came within their location and lowered itself onto the town. The group ran out and cleared out Yasuda’s officers quickly. They brought Yasuda on board to send her over to the hospital while the group held everyone outside.
~~
Shota shot out of the command center and found Koha curled up on the ground. He picked her up and took her back to the center where Sayu waited right by the door. The mayor dropped her onto the floor and Sayu closed the door behind them.
“Koha, are you alright?” Sayu asked as she noticed the purple bump on her right shin.
“Yeah, just injured.” Koha smiled as Sayu embraced her since she left her in the car.
The secret group was now surrounding the house like Yasuda’s officers were doing and Shota’s patience made him unsure of what to call. He sat back and watched for a bit with their formations, analyzing the intent of their positions, and it was something unfamiliar to his knowledge, which grew concerning with the two women with him.
Eri looked the most afraid of the three in the weapons room. It was an anxious feeling that she was fighting to overcome but it was growing grimmer with the time left with Nacchi and Reina. The kitty tried to comfort Eri as much as she could before hearing a door knock from outside. They were all not familiar with the setup and they decided to stay in their position until Shota was confident to let them out. Reina could her them heading over to the basement and kept her poise while they head up there.
~~
Yasuda arrived at Tokyo hospital twenty minutes after she had been shot. The doctors rushed her to the emergency room to remove the bullet from her side. The first ten minutes of the surgery was the difficult part as Yasuda’s screaming startled the nurses and Dr. Matsuura had been shaky from his last surgery. She suffered a setback after misdiagnosing a patient and just returned a day earlier after the leave. Matsuura Aya always wanted to save lives but in all honesty she was farther from saving them after the setback. She skillfully removed the bullet and stabilized Yasuda’s body so it could heal properly. She extracted it between the third and fourth rib which was close enough to cause more damage if it had gone deeper.
“OK, take her to ICU and I’ll follow up on her prognosis.” The confident doctor removed her surgery clothing and took a sigh of relief.
The doctor saw the bloody bit and nearly vomited at the sight of the bullet. She kept her lunch in and walked over to her office across of the ICU ward to review her notes. She stared at the phone to wait for a call from the ward to follow up on the prognosis. After a few minutes, she became anxious to what was happening and walked over to the ward to find a mess on the floor. She had grown concern over what had happen and called the janitor to clean up the blood.
Matsuura stood outside of the investigator’s room and watched her react in her bed. Sporadically, she had a couple of outbursts before calming down with the fear of ripping out the IV. Aya had a knot in her stomach watching her patient becoming uncomfortable in pain and stepped in without acknowledging her purpose.
“The nurses are sure stupid here.” She said out loud when the doctor bowed towards her.
“Sorry, for the bad service but you need to rest for now.” Matsuura said in a quiet tone.
“You must the root of the cause.” Yasuda screamed out before falling back from weakness.
Matsuura had no choice but to force her to sleep against her will and injected into her IV to calm her down at least for a while and Yasuda closed her eyes. The surgeon took a breath to think about the situation and walked back to her office to review the notes of her other patients.
~~
Shota heard the footsteps and they were heading to the secret area. Shota stood by the door until they walked away from the basement. He poked his head out to the basement with no one in there and climbed out to see if there were any more people but it looked like they emptied the house. Sayu and Koha followed him out and released the door to the weapons room to get the rest of them.
“Is everything over?” Nacchi asked Shota to his displeasure.
“I don’t know. We may have to surrender ourselves to show we are safe but there is no guarantee we are getting out of her free without suspicion.” The mayor’s words were now embedded into their minds and they slowly walked down to the first floor, seeing the glass shattered on the carpet, and then walked out with their hands up.
The group noticed Shota and escorted the rest out of the house. The leader flipped his phone open and called Kanemura with their results. Two cars came and they were put inside the back to the nearby station in Tokyo. Eri and Reina looked at Sayu and Koha and Reina’s heart sank into the reality of the situation.
“I guess you made a friend.” Reina said in resignation.
“Yeah, she is Koharu Kusumi, she knew Rika when they were in rehab together.” Sayu introduced her to the unfamiliar duo.
“Did you know Rika was a nutcase?” Koha shook her head.
“She was nice and kept her personal life close with me.” Koha responded with a smile on her face.
“I see.” Eri bit down hard as she wanted to mention the basement incident.
The nun was contemplating over to tell Koha about Rika’s murder but Reina kept her from saying it and Koha began to notice that Eri was keeping something from her. The nun pretended to close her eyes to draw attention away from her and Koha was now looking at the kitty wondering over the incident. Koha took a breath and smiled at them as she told them about the time together.
“Eri, you didn’t do anything wrong, just tell Koha what happened.” Shota whispered to the nun.
“I can’t until Koha and I are in private.” Eri said it a little louder than she wanted to and caught the younger woman’s attention.
“Tell me why she died.” Koha demanded and Eri looked down at floor.
“I shot… her in self-defense. I felt my life in danger and pulled the trigger.” Koha held up her hand to pause the explanation.
“I can’t believe I’m in the car with the killer. Sayu, if this is your friend, please don’t associate with her.” Eri looked at Shota and he looked at Reina, who was shaking her head.
Sayu pursed her lips until the station and they were all sent into separate cells for the time being. Kanemura looked at them and brushed her hair with his fingers. He looked at Shota and shook his head as he knew something was going on and the dreaded decision to surrender looked like a bad one.

Chapter 30
The ride was a rough one with everyone being silent and the radio going off about Yasuda was in guarded condition after being shot. Then, the other report that brought out a few smiles was Nakazawa was dead after a single bullet into the head. It was still quiet until the car stopped and they were escorted out into a hall.
They were all brought into Tokyo police station where they went into the cell together. Koha took one corner away from Eri and Reina. Nacchi took the other corner away from the rest of the group looking at the guard on duty. He faced away from the group and titled his neck every minute to the sound of a faint crack. Up above them was more chaotic and the reason why the guard was by the door.
The station was filled with officers running around with the news of Yasuda in the hospital, they were kept updated with her condition every few minutes and the person who wasn’t running around the station was lead interrogator Iida Kaori. She was a tall woman compared to her co-workers and her heels indicated her power but behind closed doors, she was a klutz. Often, she tripped over herself and manages to balances herself on the table to prevent a ruckus.
“Iida-san, are you going to start the interrogation?” Her kouhai asked as everyone was now in a stand still.
“Get everything prepared.” Iida nodded as she headed down to the holding cell by herself.
The light was dimmer every step down until the sensor opened up another set of lights leading to the door. She knocked three times lightly. The guard opened the door and escorted her to the cell where she saw the six faces. The first face that caught her attention was Nacchi; Iida lined up in front of the former officer, and flashed her smile.
“Iida, how is Yasuda doing?” She said in a soft voice.
“She’s doing fine, but that doctor really had her grudge against Yasuda.” Iida whispered to her as she brought the guard over.
Nacchi exited first from the cell and followed the interrogator up to the first floor. Nacchi entered the room with a cool flow of air hitting her face. Iida followed her in and locked the door behind her as Nacchi poured herself a cup of water. Iida took half a cup for herself and laid out her folder on the table. Nacchi took a deep breath and stared at Iida for a bit before starting the interrogation.
“Ms. Abe, you were once under Yasuda’s supervision, correct?” Nacchi nodded.
“Did she did anything that made you feel uncomfortable?” She took a deep breath and lowered her eyes.
“We usually get drunk and sometimes stay in her room to snuggle up with each other or have intimacy with each other.” Iida wrote down notes for herself and took a pause with a thought on her mind.
“I am assuming sex.” Nacchi nodded.
“However, she was very controlling and it soon moved onto abuse.” Iida nodded to the statement.
“I guess I am not surprised with the intimate stuff but the abuse seems unusual of her. However, Yasuda being under the influence does change her personality. So, I guess when you sent in your resignation, you were in a position to leave without guilt. However, why did you stay in the town for?” Nacchi sipped the water and slowly put back in the same place.
“I felt depressed. I was violated and despite all the begging, they decided to side with her. So, I just stepped into the bar for a few drinks and I wanted to get drunk to forget about the abuse but seeing those women, I couldn’t leave without exposing Yasuda.” Iida hinted a smile and went back to her poker face as she wrote down more notes.
“I assume the shots came from another person. However, your fellow cell mate was the gunman behind the Ishikawa case.” Nacchi’s eyes widened as she knew it was Eri she was talking about.
“It is very simple to charge anyone with a weapon discharge or assault or manslaughter but my conviction is she had to be coerced into shooting. Ishikawa was not a person I would trust with a badge.” Iida gestured with her head.
“I agree with you but Yasuda had the best interest to release her but when she went rogue, it was out of our jurisdiction to stop her. So, it will be discussed later with the district prosecutor on how we can approach it.” Nacchi lifted her cup to her mouth to take another drink and lowered it down onto the table.
“We are almost done. Shota, he is a nice guy, so are you considering asking him for a date?” Nacchi giggled at the question.
“Probably not, but you may never know.” Iida grinned as she hugged her former mate before sending her back to the cell and asked for the next person: Shota.
~~
Yasuda sat up on her bed to feel the stitches to her side. The rough area gave her the most grief as she saw her food being delivered to her on a tray. She hated the food ever since she came here a few years ago from a serious infection on her leg. She remembered the pain on her lower leg when the cut grew to a size of quarter before admitting herself to the hospital. It was a week of hell trying to control the infection and the healing began the day before being discharged. It took nearly a week to regain her full strength to go back onto the field.
The nurses were rotating in and out every four hours and she began to recognize each of their faces as they gave her food and asked if she needed assistance but Yasuda declined politely. She pushed her food away as she looked out at the night. It was peaceful for most of the day with her under sedation but she had the urge to find out more to why Nakazawa had shot her and ended up killing herself.
Yasuda had asked for her cell phone but was shot down immediately. She began to notice a new set of nurses coming in and looked up to see the new shift was ready to continue on the service. It wasn’t too long until a nurse came into the room looking for a syringe in the cabinet. She flashed a smile to the officer before finding her medicine to shot into the IV tubing. She kept it to the side to get her chart and confirmed her decision. The nurse shot into the IV tube and discarded it quickly before exiting the room.
A few minutes later, Yasuda felt her heart beating quicker and then the alarms started to go off. The nurses rushed into the room and saw her vitals were in danger. They started to shoot in the medication but it was no use, she was suffering a massive heart attack, and took one last breath before she flat lined. The doctor performed CPR a few times to no success and looked at his watch.
“21:12 patient confirmed dead.” The doctor said with resentment.
“Where’s Oshiro?” The nurses looked around each other and remembered there was no one by that name during their shift.
“There is no Oshiro on our schedule.” One of the nurses pointed out and the doctor looked at the chart and slapped his head.
“This is a bad situation. Call the police.” The doctor ordered and the staff disconnected the machines from her expired body and closed the curtain around her.
~~
Iida was wrapping up her interview with Shota as she looked over to the next name she wanted to talk to and decided on the kitty to bring up. Her kouhai came rushing into the room with depressing news of Yasuda’s death. Iida bit down on her bottom lip as the kitty walked into the room.
“Long time no see.” Iida greeted her.
“Indeed. Now, you can’t say anything that I caused this trouble.” Iida gave her a grin.
“Well, you are still in trouble for helping Eri escape from the room.” Reina stuck her hand up.
“She was tied up. Yasuda the bastard did it to her.” Reina brought out her Yankii voice that was familiar to the officer.
“Why would Yasuda tie up a suspect? She had no right to do so.” Iida stated as Reina felt enraged by Iida’s words.
“Yes, she didn’t but if you look at her, she still has the rope burns. I will confirm that I untied her and the other set of prints should be Yasuda or her cronies. Eri was tied against her will because she shot in self-defense.” Reina was now standing up inches from Iida’s face.
Iida removed herself from the room and requested a car out to the town while she managed to rush down to the holding cell. She looked for the nun and asked her to extend out her forearms and saw the burn marks on her wrists. Iida was convinced that someone did tie her up and if Reina was correct, the DNA evidence would confirm the story but it was more than what Reina knew that could help Eri escape any charges. Iida walked back up and entered into the room with a grin on her face.
“There is more we need to discuss, I hope you stay patient with me.” Reina smirked at the officer and took a seat to take more questions from her.

Lol, I forgot Nakazawa died too... I was so caught up with Kei,
But anyways!! So, YAYYYYYY SHES DEAAAD!! lol (that sounds SO mean) But, I mean hey... with all the stuff them two demons put everyone through? its KARMA!
And that nurse ..
The nurse shot into the IV tube and discarded it quickly before exiting the room.
Wait, did whatever that nurse inject her with kill her? And did that nurse intentionally do that? I mean it seems alittle suspicious that she left the room right after injecting her, A normal nurse or doctor would stay right there to see how it would affect the patient, no? :? Im alittle skeptical of that nurse.. Until shes proven innocent XD
And AWWW :wub: to Reina defending Eri, I mean I know she would probably be all hostile like that for anyone else too that is her friend. But its just, the fact that its Eri right now is... kinda sweet, :oops:
And the way Iida and Reina are talking now seems like there's happier times to come? ^.^
Oh and Iida is so nice!! She's quite familiar with them hahaha... Well Reina and Nacchi ... which makes me think just HOW BAD was Reina in the past.. I know she was bad.. but.. to be this familiar with a cop lol?
-
^ Well the first couple chapters gave a little of her accounts as for the nurse, next chapter?
Chapter 31
Reina witnessed the chaos of the officers and detectives rush out of the station, leaving Iida with her in the room. Her kouhai was busy with preparations to refill the needed items, so Iida was the only person left in the building. The interrogator was frustrated from the series events within the past day and she looked over her notes thoroughly as she needed to dig a little more before passing it off to advise the prosecutor of charges. The kitty patiently waited for the questions despite feeling quite bloated from the water.
She wanted to excuse herself to the bathroom but Iida poised to ask questions before taking them back within a millisecond. Iida found what she had been itching to ask the kitty and looked over at her as she was anxiously holding her midsection like a child wanting permission to leave. Iida escorted her over to the bathroom and stood near the stall as she did her business.
“Off the record… Why did you do all that stuff?” She asked the kitty as she was feeling comfortable on the throne.
“I needed to survive. I didn’t have the resources others had and once you face the world, everything is meant for survival.” Iida shook her head and smiled.
“I pity you because I wouldn’t have the guts to do the dirty stuff. I felt so blessed to have people and things around me that I could never imagine living without it.” The kitty flushed the toilet and opened to Iida smiling to the window.
“Thanks. Not too many people realize that not everyone has a great life. Kamei was like me but she fit into a family that cherished her. It was the reason why Kamei and I have been closed for a while.” That realization hit her and she grabbed Iida’s arm to go back to the room.
The kitty rushed her over and took her seat across of the interrogator as Iida tried to gain back her train of thought. Reina began to feel the brain battling over who she would pick and the more she looked at Koha, it was obvious that Eri would be her choice. But, she never wanted to lose Sayu as it seemed to work out short-term with her own problems.
“Okay, Yasuda held up Eri for questioning and you witnessed she was tied to a chair, correct?” Reina nodded her head.
“You broke her out and ran into the mayor’s house for your safety. Yasuda had been sporadic but not rogue-like; I cannot seem to imagine why she did it. However, the more I dwell in the situation; I feel something will go wrong which will cause us a lot of trouble.” Reina stuck out her hand.
“I figured it would if Yasuda was alive but we might as well try to wrap it up as quickly as possible before anything else seems to go out of order. But if you must, I will say this until I die. Eri pulled the trigger in self-defense and everyone in that room knew about it.” Then, Reina bit her lip as the worsening thoughts entered swiftly into her mind.
“Is there something else I need to know before I send you back into the cell?” Reina nodded slowly.
“Dr. Yoshizawa, have you interviewed her?” Iida took a deep breath and bowed her head.
“Unfortunately, we cannot because they have put her into a psych ward. She blames the police for the troubles with Rika, so we needed her to compose before interviewing her. A few days after her capture, she had a violent rage that seriously injured a caretaker. Thus, she is in solitary confinement for now. Why do you ask?” Reina rubbed her neck and pointed out the shot at Rika.
“Yossie kidnapped Sayu and it was the reason why Rika had been shot. We were confined in a room where no one had a foot of space to either side of us. Thus, the battle was to avoid any problems but it ended up into a messy situation. If you imagine the room and the possibility, Eri accidently pulled the trigger to save Sayu.” Iida’s face turned white as the new piece was now huge to the investigation.
Without another word, Reina was escorted back to the cell and brought out Eri to finish up the primary investigation for now. The nun felt parched from being in the cell that she downed the first cup quickly. She poured the second cup and took the seat across of Iida. Eri showed her calm demeanor to the officer and Iida smiled to break her defense. But, Eri shielded herself and glared at Iida.
Eri was asked similar questions to the rest of the people and kept her story about the gun. Iida knew the pressure was to reveal Yasuda’s scheme but it was not meant to leave the room. Eri felt relieved that the questions went by fast for her and smiled as she headed back down to the cell. Iida walked back upstairs and put her head down onto the table to think through the interviews.
They seemed to cover for Eri when they talked about the shooting but it still bothered her about Yasuda and her ulterior motive. It was another four hours that had passed by after her death and the station was quiet for once, so Iida took a cat nap until the people came back from their respective places.
~~
“Eri, are you alright?” Reina asked the nun as she sat next to her while Koha stares at her with Sayu by her side.
“Daijoubu.” Eri said in a soft voice as Koha walked over to the other side.
“It shall haunt you that you killed somebody. I don’t think prayer will help you now.” Koha struck Eri to gain her attention and Reina stood up to give space between them.
“Your partner is not as clean either but at least her sin will cleanse her eventually.” Reina took a deep breath and faced up to the younger woman and looked at Sayu.
Sayu felted glued to her seat as she faced the two in fear of what should happen next. Shota pushed both of them away from each other and went back to their respective sides. Eri covered her face with her hands as tears were slowly coming down remembering the moment. Then, in an instant, Eri stood up and face Koha again. Now, she held her fist by her and cocked back to deliver the blow to her cheek. Koha fell back into Sayu and Shota grabbed the nun to shove her back to her side. Koha looked dazed, it was an instant knockout for the nun, and Shota requested for water to wake her up.
Eri developed that sense of pride for shutting her up but Reina frowned at her despite standing up for herself. The kitty let her head down on her lap as she stroked through her hair. It was about fifteen minutes that Koha woke up still dizzy from the strong punch she had taken. Her words were incoherent but it was directed toward Eri as she pointed her finger towards the nun.
Despite that punch, everyone was just anxious about the events unraveling before them. Nakazawa and Yasuda were dead, suicide and assuming the gunshot wound, and Iida’s decision to charge Eri. It seemed that they were over their heads but slowly it was coming back to even ground between all the parties. However, Eri was guilty of doing many sins especially the punch that she never felt so liberating in just being a jail cell.
It was another hour that they had waited and the guard walked up to see Iida and they held their breaths to see what the next unexpected event that was going to happen. It felt eternal to wait for a guard to return back to his post but they came back with a surprise when Iida’s kouhai had keys in her hands.
“Iida will not pursue this anymore further but she has to talk to you guys. Thanks for being patient. As an opinion of mines, Yasuda was never well-liked, even her bosses were bad mouthing her.” She said with a smile as the guard led them up the stairs to the conference room where they had their meetings.
The six sat down around the table with Iida standing in front of them with a piece of paper. She held it up in front of her and glanced over it before saying her speech.
“As you guys know, Yasuda gave you and your town a bad experience. We are sorry on our part for desecrating the town with our misinformation and our ill-advised officers. We didn’t know that Ishikawa was insane or had any psychological problems.” Koha stood up in protest.
“She was confused, ma’am. You can look over the records at her time in the clinic. She wasn’t insane but confused in her own right to escape the horrors.” Iida nodded and looked down to where she left off.
“We, the police officers, offer an apology and will try to work on this issue to prevent further incidents like this from happening. Yamada Shota, the mayor of the town, shall accept our sincere apologies and will help us further our bond with the town and the police force in general.” Iida bowed her head toward Shota and he graciously accepted it.
“Iida-san, I am humbled that you guys accepted responsibility but we feel guilty that it had involved our own people into this incident.” Shota lowered his head in respect.
“A former officer, always humble, now I think you can help us in getting Yasuda’s killer.” Shota looked at the rest of the group.”
They all agreed to find the person. Nacchi frowned as she knew without police power, they would be limited in resources. Iida slid a badge over with her name on top and she praised Iida to give her another chance. Then, she slid a paper over to Shota to give directions and Nacchi took the other five out of the room to discuss their roles leaving Iida and Shota in the room.
“How it is being mayor?” Iida asked.
“Stressful, definitely stressful. How’s the husband?” She gave him a smirk.
“He left a while ago. But, I ‘ll be fine.” She ruffled his hair and flashed a smile.
“I’ll do my best for your fellow officer.” Shota stood up and walked over to the other room where the group was discussing their plan in catching the killer.

Chapter 32
Maimi laughed. It was all she could do. The heckling act was no joke; she was now a cold-blooded killer.
The day Nakazawa left the clinic in a fit of rage after being electrocuted by the electrodes. She began to piece the puzzle together. It had been two years since she was hired to become a receptionist but the nurses were insulted by Nakazawa's management skill, so it was up to her to collect the medical files.
One day as she was carrying a bunch to the office, one of them dropped onto the floor, and she placed the others down to pick up a pamphlet-sized folder. She saw the name "Ishikawa Rika." Maimi quickly glanced through everything inside and her limited knowledge indicated that she shouldn't be in the clinic but Nakazawa was holding her here for some reason. She shrugged her shoulders and handed off the folders to Nakazawa.
Maimi had logs filled with people’s names visiting the patients but not once Ishikawa's name had been writing on until an officer walked in and wrote down the name. She was an older woman and was probably single based on her visual analysis but determined to meet her. She saw the name and assumed she would be charged with a crime but that didn't add up because there was no car in the parking lot indicating an arrest, so it must have been a close family member out of the blue. Then, she had seen Ishikawa with just a t-shirt and loose pants. She looked at the receptionist and then was dragged into the meeting room.
Two hours after they had entered, Yasuda came out looking disheveled with a fat lip and a cut above her right brow. The room was soundproof so any indication of fighting could not be heard by the outsider unless security was asked to interfere. But, by the look on the officer's face, she had won the matchup. Nakazawa carried the lifeless body back to the room. Her shirt was torn in many places, exposing her right breast to her. Her face had been purple from the fighting and pants seemed halfway put on like they violated her. However, Maimi stayed quiet until one night where the nurses decided to let her shadow them. She walked into Ishikawa's room, which was dark at the time, and left her with a pitcher of water.
"Who are you? Yaguchi?" Maimi shook her head.
"I was the last person you stared at before you went into the room." Ishikawa let out a laugh.
"The receptionist. I guess you saw my body after the two had their way." Maimi nodded as she reached for the switch.
"Don't turn on the light!" She warned her. Maimi pulled her hand back to her side and took a seat next to the bed.
Rika described to her the horror of the experience. It made her feel squeamish but she was willing to listen to the whole story. Her pain was external but inside the torture couldn't dent what had happened that brought her here. She knew that being in here was just an excuse to send a contracted killer to the mayor's house. Maimi felt her heart beating faster until she was inches away from her.
"You are cute, if I was three years younger, we would be spending every minute exploring each other's body. I don't know where you hide your treasure at, keep it safe because you don't know when one day someone snatches you from behind and the feeling of self-doubt fills your mind." Rika smiled at the receptionist as she saw the nurse signaling to get out of the room.
"Thank you, I am sorry that they did it to you." Maimi bowed as Rika laughed at the gesture.
"They will receive their punishment soon. I feel confident about it." Maimi grinned as she closed the door for the night.
Couple weeks later, she saw Rika walking out of the clinic with assistance of another woman to the garden. Maimi decided to take a light break to stretch out and wander for a bit to gather in the fresh air. Out of the corner of her eye, Rika sat down and spoke to her like a friend would in close proximity. Maimi went toward that direction and Rika smiled at her as she pause her movements.
"Maimi-chan, come here. I want you to meet someone." Rika yelled out as she drew closer to the other woman.
"This is Kusumi Koharu-chan. She got admitted here a week ago. She has a real nice smile too." Rika complimented her as she looked at Maimi and an idea popped into her mind.
Ishikawa knew of the abuse and told the story about that day where she blacked out from the pain. Koha was surprised that she had survived it but the expression on Maimi's face said everything about how she felt. Then, Ishikawa decided on becoming an officer for the sake of Yasuda, who had offered the position to her in return for her body, which she had refused. However, she had a way to expose her and the best way was to bait her and video tape every step. Her bold plan was perfect but just needed the players to perform the parts and Maimi filled in the gaps to make it perfect.
The day Ishikawa was released; Maimi had given her a bag as a gift on behalf of the clinic. Rika took the bag and was driven to the police training ground. She worked hard to gain her badge and was place in Yasuda's group by special order. Kanemura was present and was proud to have a mental patient become a police officer to uphold the law.
Yasuda had invited her to drink but declined to set up her cam for the next move. Couple hours later, Rika had invited Yasuda over and they both fell into bed together. Rika pressed the button to start the recording, where it went into a secret box at Maimi's apartment. She never liked having sex but being with her friend was great enough to overcome the temptation. The next morning Maimi went to work as usual but it was heavy with thoughts of the video. She bided her time at work enough to excuse her for half a day and ran back to her apartment.
She edited the video for clarification of the two people and sent it back to Rika's email address. She waited a couple of days and then she heard of a report of a sex video sent from an unknown location to the police department. Maimi tried to hide her pride in making sure Yasuda was responsible but it backfired because Ishikawa as the victim was caught up in another scandal and thus let go while the sex video blew over.
Then, couple months later, the news of her death shocked the country. There were no leads but it was a complicated story of forcing the hand. Yasuda had been sent to investigate and she grew furious that she would throw Ishikawa under the bus to save herself and then the plan to finish off Yasuda.
Maimi had heard over the radio that Nakazawa had committed suicide after shooting two bullets into Yasuda. They described it as mild wounds but Maimi knew it was enough to get her inside the hospital. She took the rest of the day off and traveled to the hospital. Her disguise was simple as a nurse because of the spares in the dressing room that people usually leave open because of the lock problems. She followed the path of the nurses to the ICU ward and branched off to the private rooms.
She grabbed a mask and put it on so she could only recognize the eyes. She put a pair of gloves into her pocket and entered into the room. Yasuda glanced at her but she was medicated to the point of not recognizing her and looked for the morphine.
“Can you get me some water?” She asked as the nurse turned toward her IV.
She didn’t answer but Maimi knew she was talking to her. She filled the syringe to the top and pushed it into her IV. She escaped without any problems and then she heard the alarm blaring behind her. It was a clean get away and she knew that no one could ever figure it out and if they did, it was only her that could explain why she did it.

OMG !! MAIMI!! I WASNT EXPECTING HER!!! I--I SHE !! OMG! She kilt Yasuda ! dude Maimi is evil , but .. i do applaud her for killing her.. But i kinda feel bad? For Rika, I dont know. ^ Yeah now onto the pursuit of Maimi and maybe a couple more chapters to end this. Probably the new story will end up being a bummer after all XD
Chapter 33
Nacchi looked at the rest of the women with the black marker cap fumbling between her fingers. They had no starting point but a list of suspects was filled within the group. Nacchi looked over the list and signed off to give off to Iida, Shota walked into the room with a calm demeanor and took a seat opposite of Nacchi.
“We have a list of suspects? I guess Iida can do the interviews.” Nacchi nodded as she slid over the list.
Shota analyzed the list and shook his head over the officers who were close to Yasuda. Then, he found a major omission and wrote down the name: Maimi Yajima. He slid the list back to Nacchi and her eyes opened up to why he would put the name on the paper. He smiled and then his explanation opened up the rest of their eyes.
“She is the receptionist at the clinic and she would have a reason to take out Yasuda at all cost. I think Koha should lead us.” Koha was surprised about the suggestion but she had reservations about chasing someone she knew.
“Why would you let me lead in this investigation?” Shota looked at Nacchi and she looked toward the journal.
“When Ishikawa was on the force, she liked to write about her experiences, and one thing that came up was your name. Maimi saw Rika after the initial abuse and she knew about Rika’s plan but the problem was that they didn’t trust you fully until you gave into a single demand.” Koha bit down on her lip and stood up in front of them.
“I was busy that night with writing to other people as a way to resist my temptations and Maimi came into the room. She had asked about how I felt about Nakazawa and I told her I was fine with her. Then, she told me about the abuse Rika had taken from two people that day. It made my blood boil that anyone would harm her but I had no intention of killing anyone until Sayu was with Nakazawa and I shocked her to save Sayu from the torture she would have suffered. I didn’t know you were there though and I escaped to avoid punishment.” Koha’s explanation turned the whole mission upside down as it only had to be one person to have done it.
“What we are about to explain is this? Because you escaped and not formally discharged, there is a serious crime on your head. We can prove you are eligible but there is no guarantee of that. The police don’t know the condition you had that sent you to the clinic in the first place. However, what we want you to do is help us lead as an indicator that you are not insane. With this link, we can send you for evaluations and we can report your good behavior to them as a bonus.” Koha shook her head as she looked at Sayu.
“I was sexually abused which caused the mental incapacity.” Nacchi rubbed her chin as Koha stood by the board to explain the problem.
She kept a stone face throughout the description of the continued abuse. Nacchi wrote down all the details of her experiences like a psychologist analyzing the patient. After a half hour discussion about the incidents, Nacchi called Iida in her office and rushed over to their room.
“Iida-san, please find a psychologist quickly, she will do her best to help us before taking an analysis.” She nodded and left them to track down Maimi.
Nacchi decided to get information about her and her whereabouts which seemed scattered but they knew of the first place to look for her. Shota and the gang took a truck to the clinic, Koha had to think where else she would be, and that task was difficult as Maimi only talked about a few things with her. Despite being the same age, they were more separate than anything else which stretched the rules to its farthest interpretation. She wrote down a club she usually did talk about during her free time but as for location, it would be a challenge.
They arrived at the clinic where the new boss, Mr. Thomas, an American national, stood at the front door to escort Nacchi into the room with Shota. Koha sat in the lobby with the others as she wrote down everything she could remember. Then, she looked at Sayu and gave her a wink. Sayu walked toward her and they went up the stairs without looking back at Eri or Reina.
“Where you think you are going?” Reina asked in a sassy voice which turned Koha around.
“I have to get my clothes.” Koha said in a soft voice as Sayu kept walking up to the next floor.
Eri and Reina followed them to the room and came to a surprise. It had been ransacked. Koha fell to her knees in tears as Reina saw the note on the window.
Koha-chan,
It’s over, the terror is over. Every person is dead. We did it! The police will be after me soon, I hope I can survive the chase.
P.S. I want to meet you one more time before I get caught. Our last time was wonderful.
Reina looked over at Koha and took a deep breath. The kitty was furious that any person would harm a patient who can’t handle their needs. Reina lifted her up and gave her a hug. Koha started to tear up as the embrace brought back the incident about them trusting her.
“We will catch her… I promise you. You may hate Eri but you will not hate me.” She looked at Sayu for a second and then she glared at her.
“Sayu is yours.” Reina bit down on her lip and folded the note into her pocket.
Eri followed out Reina from the room as Sayu helped Koha with her clothes into the duffle bags. Koha tried to analyze the words from the kitty’s mouth and looked at Sayu who was busily stuffing her clothes into the bag. Sayu heard the words of surrender, she couldn’t believe Reina wouldn’t give up without a fight but she knew she had to protect Eri from any more of Koha’s rage against her. Before Koha stood up, Sayu sat behind her and bowed to the younger woman.
“Sayu, were you and Reina…” Sayu nodded and bowed apologetically.
Koha felt her throat gone dry as she realized why Reina had been the buffer in the arguments. She still had feelings for Sayu. The younger woman felt guilty in blaming Eri for her death and Sayu had been in the middle of the whole situation.
“Why didn’t you tell me or slap me or something to indicate that you guys had a relationship earlier?” Sayu held up her hand and slapped Koha across the face, and then gave her a long kiss on her lips.
“Because… she was there for me after the assault. She was also a victim of an assault which made her scared of being close to people. I was stubborn and wanting to not give away my own faults to people. If people knew that I seduced the mayor, I would be called a whore. But, Reina knew about everything that had happen, so when you pointed at Eri, I had to resist siding with you.” Koha understood the situation and bowed back to Sayu.
“I am sorry for being that way to her. I never knew that Reina still liked you because I was in love with you. Now, since she had given up, I want to apologize to Eri too.” Sayu nodded and Koha ran out to see Eri.
The nun saw Koha ran down the stairs and kneel down to bow for forgiveness in her act. She looked over at Reina and she nodded hesitantly. The nun crossed her arms at her but relaxed them as she brought her up from the floor.
“I will not forget that you were brat when I mention about Rika. That shall stay etched. However, I want to move forward to get this case over with so you are forgiven.” Eri’s crooked smile left no doubt that they buried the hatchet and Koha ran up to finish packing up the rest of the stuff from her room.
Koha loaded up the truck with her clothing with help from Sayu as they waited for the interview to be over. An hour later, Shota and Nacchi walked out with few answers but they had a home address. Reina showed them the note and it confirmed that Maimi was the one to kill Yasuda in the hospital but it was now up to them to find her before she disappeared forever.

Chapter 34
Maimi decided to lay low in the nightclub she liked to hang around after work. She knew the establishment had some illegal employees. Her closest friend was one of them but she kept her aside for her own use.
Suzuki Airi was seventeen and liked to drive her parents crazy over her behavior. After school, she would hang around the club to pick up boys but found an attractive young lady sitting near the entrance as she looked in. Airi invited the anxious woman in and gave her a drink to replenish her. Maimi never knew what it was but in Airi’s explanation, she had kept her straight by taking her into a private room to avoid any contact with the public.
Airi saw her walk into the club and took her to the usual private room but instead of a smile, she saw an evil grin on her face. The younger female handed her a glass of cola with a straw and she took one sip to clean out the glass. Maimi forced her body on top of Airi and touched her roughly all over until she pushed her body off her.
“What’s wrong with you?” Airi asked with a high tone to her voice.
“I… killed a person today.” She smiled and forced herself on top one more time but Airi developed the space between them.
“Why did you do it?” Airi asked as she calmed Maimi down from her adrenaline.
Maimi thought about it and came blank with an excuse so she told her the truth. Airi was shocked with Maimi’s explanation and crawled back to the other side of the room. She pleaded to not expose her in the murder but Airi was not sure to say anything until she realized the older female had leverage on her and zipped up her lips. She came back to sit next to her and continued their embrace in the room.
She broke off the kiss and patted her on the head as they took a break from the action. Airi heard a knock at the door and forced Maimi to go under the table. She opened up to a middle-aged man looking in at her employee in a dark room. Airi stepped out of the room leaving it ajar so she could come back for her friend; she walked into the office, and sat across of her boss.
“You have been a great waitress and escort but I fear for my business to close because I broke the rules. Now, I need you to leave before the inspectors come and take me out. I will pay you your wages for the week and you can take your customer with you.” Airi nodded hesitantly and ran back to get Maimi from underneath the table.
Both left to the blinding lights of the late afternoon and walked toward the train station without exchanging words. Maimi noticed the wad of cash in her pocket and began to realize what had happen. She embraced Airi next to her for a long while and felt her tears soak through her shirt. She apologized for ruining her secret but Airi accepted her faith quietly. The woman decided to take Airi to a café for a meal and just hoped no one would notice her.
~~
The group was en route to her apartment near the clinic where they were housed because of the remote location. The nurses were driving to the clinic while their truck stopped fifty feet outside of the complex. Shota looked back at the women and he closed up the front part to hide their meeting room.
“We need to make this peaceful.” Shota instructed the group.
“What if she is armed?” Reina asked and Koha kicked the kitty.
Reina looked back at Koha and saw her shook her head but the issue was a concern and Shota took a pistol as their only weapon. Koha opened the back door and walked up to the complex with her hands shaking with nerves. She rushed into the lobby, seeing the receptionist reading a newspaper.
“Is Yajima-san in?” The receptionist looked at her computer to see if she checked in but she reported she hadn’t been home since yesterday night.
Koha ran back to the truck and stated the words from the receptionist and now they were back at square one. Koha grinded her teeth with another location in mind and looked at Sayu to confirm her decision. She poked Nacchi in the shoulder and everyone turned towards her.
“She could be at a club. Her friend works there. She calls her Airi but she is underage and she covered for her since they had a relationship a year ago.” Shota nodded as Koha gave directions to the club.
~~
Maimi and Airi took a seat away from the windows; the café was half packed with mostly older people having their early dinners while avoiding the young couple on the other side of room. They were greeted by a high school student who recognized Airi right away and after a few minutes of chatting they ordered a sandwich and soda. The silence between them was unusual for both. They would stare at each other for minutes before breaking it off to look around. A light kick to the shin broke the silence as Maimi rubbed her shin.
“It isn’t your fault. I just thought if I was gonna get kicked out it would be the constant flirting or the men complimenting me when I smile but he knew I was underage.” Maimi titled her head.
“Why didn’t he just let you go?” Maimi asked.
“It brought in money but he likes gambling so…” Maimi broke off her sentence.
“I understand.” The older female felt her heart beat faster as she glared at Airi one more time and reached for her hand.
“I want to say this before I get caught. I love you.” Airi smiled showing her teeth and let out a giggle. “I’m not lying; I liked you since you brought me into the club. We spent time just talking about ourselves that I got attracted to you and then it just happened to make me think that I don’t want us to be apart.”
“I love you too. I never felt so nervous in front of a woman but you always knew how to treat me. The men were always perverted like seeing under my skirt or peeking down my blouse but when I met you, I could finally appreciate a person caring for me.” Maimi moved her head forward but was interrupted with the food’s arrival.
Airi dove into her plate without saying a word but Maimi took her time like she had an eternity to finish her meal. The younger female encouraged her to take on her meal which made more tension between them until Maimi threw the plate onto the floor. Airi took her last bite of her burger and let Maimi rest on her shoulders.
“Should I surrender?” Maimi whispered.
“I think so, even if I cannot see you again, I want you to know that admitting your guilt makes me happy.” Maimi’s crooked smile comforted Airi and sipped their soda simultaneously while they let the time go by.
~~
The club produced no luck of Maimi but the owner looked jittery like he was waiting for someone to come told them she was released for lying about her age. The owner was guilty of employing her at the club which angered Reina and gave him a message to his boys for not exposing a girl to a dirty place. He fell onto the pavement holding them as they left to find their trail.
After a few hours of blind hunting, they took a rest at a motel’s parking lot. The owner was infuriated with their presence but Shota explained that they were looking for someone and let them stay as long as they paid for their occupation. The group was depleted after their search turned up nothing and walked over to the café next to the motel to refuel them. Eri and Reina ordered burgers and drinks for everyone.
They sat down in the waiting area for their food as they observed the patrons. There were a bunch of elderly couple at the back end of the dinner and Eri took a glance at the back of the room to find two girls sitting there embracing each other. The turtle pointed over to them and smiled as Reina let the turtle lay her head on the kitty’s shoulder.
“Kimochi~” Eri sighed as Reina grabbed her hand firmly to break off the act.
“You are serious weird.” Reina said bluntly as the turtle smiled at her.
Their food and drinks were delivered to them and they headed out followed by the two females trailing them to the motel. Airi led her partner to the motel as Maimi saw the van’s backdoor opening and glanced at a familiar person. Maimi rushed them into the lobby and took a key up to their room so they could hide from the van.
“Why are…” Maimi put her hand over her mouth.
“I saw my friend; we need to stay still while I figure a way to surrender.” Maimi removed her hand and sat on the bed to think clearly about the next move.
-
I have mixed feelings about Maimi, but right now. I'm kinda respecting her decision especially since shes gonna surrender. Shows how mature she is! :thumbsup
And YajiSuzi I LOVE them!!!! :inlove: :wub: I was so happy to see it was Airi who was her friend at the club.
Reina and Eri are so cute haha. With all the drama thats been going on I forgot they even DID something together :nervous
And I feel kinda bad for Sayu but, hopefully Koha will be everything she wanted and needed, I do wonder why did the person wrecked her room.
While sick in bed, Im waiting on the next chappie :twothumbs

^ hope you get better and maybe I can make another story with more action instead of a sappy, love/hate fic
Chapter 35
Koha saw her eyes and her stomach turned with anticipation but the lump in her throat was preventing from catching her friend. She wanted to yell that she went into the motel but every second she was becoming weaker with the knowledge and then she fell over catching Sayu by surprise.
“Koha, are you okay?” Sayu asked as she rushed her outside to get her some air.
Koha’s body was limp as they sat down on the asphalt and she looked into the younger woman’s eyes and she began to realize why she collapsed. Her faint voice spelt that she saw the suspect but it was past the event which meant she could have gone anywhere by now. Sayu ran toward the door and opened it up to take Nacchi out of the van and explained that Koha saw Maimi walked by. She knew that she was now steps behind the woman so she had to attack quickly before they lose her again.
Nacchi reached in for her cuffs and hid it in her belt under a loose shirt. Koha followed the police officer to the front desk where he didn’t resist in giving over the guest book. They were surprised that she wrote down her name and the guest which attracted Koha’s eyes. She took Nacchi to the side and showed her the name.
“This is her girlfriend.” Nacchi nodded.
“If she is with her, it must mean she might use her as a hostage.” Koha was unsure if that was the case but she knew that Maimi wouldn’t be rash to put Airi in danger.
The last time Koha saw them together, it was a picnic on the clinic grounds. Rika stared at the couple outside and smirked at them as she turned back toward Koha. Rika was well aware about the relationship and she always showed her jealous side when she saw the happy couple but this time she showed sourness in her expression. She was required to stay in the room after the cafeteria incident which meant she was away from Yossie, who was in her last year of fellowship.
Rika liked Yossie a lot as they were of similar age and they seemed to get it off when they started to have lunch together, which was forbidden under the clinic’s rules. Nakazawa walked into the cafeteria to monitor her patients and observed Yossie talking to Ishikawa in the corner. Yossie had written that Rika needed observant care in the presence of depression. Unfortunately, it never specified what the solution should have been which made Nakazawa suspicious and she saw them laughing with each other and Yossie blew a kiss to Rika.
Nakazawa took Yossie outside and lecture her about the rules but Yossie countered with her report which was along the lines suggested by two others within the staff. However, she pointed out the romantic gestures and gave her a hard look and held out her report.
“If the intent was to gain a girlfriend, then I have to let you go.” She lowered the report and as her head turned, Rika came out hearing a derogatory term.
Ishikawa slanted her eyes and attack Nakazawa from behind. The doctor fell forward onto the floor breaking her nose and if it wasn’t for security, she would have done more damage. Yossie resigned to the fact that the situation was over her head and the suggestion was brought up to push her into society earlier than expected because of the relationship. Rika sat there letting her tears hit the floor as she pressed her hands onto the window.
“Maimi and her, why does it bother me?” Koha stepped in.
“Yossie…” Rika turned and shoved Koha onto the floor and raised her hand below slapping her across the face. The sound filled the room but Koha didn’t want to cry. Rika wanted to slap her again but the red mark was beginning to show on the location of the strike.
“Don’t say her name. Just don’t.” Rika warned as she looked outside once again.
Koha came back to the present and she pulled Nacchi out of the lobby to discuss a plan to draw out Maimi from the room. Koha was confident that Maimi wouldn’t do anything rash but she had to see how she was and took advantage of the information by going to the room. Nacchi noticed the window and decided to go around the other side to give them a surprise. Then, their worst fears came into mind with Maimi stepping out to look outside to the ocean.
Koha froze with Nacchi behind her and saw Maimi watching her move toward the room but it was no use and gently walked up to her. Maimi strolled to them and offered her wrists to them. Airi came out with her hands up, surrendering to them.
“Wait, I won’t arrest you until we get the whole story.” Nacchi signaled her hand off the handcuffs and escorted Maimi back to her room.
They all sat in a circle and called the rest up to the room to get an explanation. When everyone was present, Maimi stood in the middle of the room and bowed to everyone. Airi stood next to her and lifted her head up seeing the tears running down her cheeks. The younger female wanted to present a strong expression but gave into her crying. Reina broke up the duo and demanded to explain the murder.
Maimi cleared her throat and went back to the clinic where she was working and talked about the doctors were less prepared for many cases especially Rika. The story was unraveling into a storm of bad decisions until Maimi knew she had to finish the job. She explained that the nurse’s outfit was from the clinic which was different from the hospital but her entry was easy because of the nurses being linked with the hospital. The news of Yasuda’s injury hit Maimi’s ears and she tracked her to the room.
“So, if they were connected, any person on the staff could have killed her, correct?” Shota pointed out the fact.
“Yes, because the partnership assisted with our mental patients and their medical care.” Maimi stated.
She entered the room with a mask covering her mouth and looked for the one thing she only knew about killing people: morphine. She injected enough to kill her instantly and throwing the syringe into the recycle bin was the easiest way out as they solved the mystery in front of them. Maimi felt the thrill of doing a deed for the sake of society but she knew that being connected was simple for the police but hard to pinpoint it on her.
Koha grabbed Maimi and gave her a hug as she murmured inaudible words into her ear and Maimi patted her on the back to calm her down. Nacchi was still not convinced to arrest them but she cuffed them anyway to take them to Iida for questioning. Once they were arrested, they swiftly drove back to headquarters where Iida was outside with a full report folder.
“Yoshizawa Hitomi just sent in her testimony and it matches with everyone else’s but the mess is still on the floor.” Iida told everyone as Maimi and Airi was escorted down to the cell below.
“Yajima Maimi injected Yasuda with a lethal dosage which you can charge for murder and Suzuki Airi is going to be charged with holding a fugitive.” Iida stuck out her hand to halt the explanation.
“I want no charges to be filed yet. We need to clean up before we forget the reason why you were brought here and the reason was the town was our biggest concern and we can gain whatever information from them and then release them to your custody.” Shota’s eyes widened.
“We don’t have a prison and Maimi and Airi committed serious crimes.” Shota panicked but Iida presented her soothing smile.
“I know I can send them off for killing people but all the people involved are dead or injured and we have no proof that Maimi did it. The hospital threw the syringes away before we could confiscate it as evidence.” Iida winked at them and Shota threw his head back in exhaustion.
“Can we head home?” Eri asked to everyone.
Everyone nodded as Shota took the group home and invited Nacchi to stay the night in their peaceful, quiet town.

^ Well final chapter
Chapter 36
Maimi and Airi were the only two in the cell. They waited for their time to be escorted up to the investigation room. Maimi was concerned that Airi had been pulled in by Maimi’s unconscious moves but Airi stayed positive. It relieved the woman’s concern but she wanted Airi to be set free and that was her goal.
She observed the guard was sleeping at his desk with his walkie-talkie on the table. The room was silent until they heard that they were being brought up to the room. Iida walked in seeing the two with confidence and escorted them up to the next floor. They sat side by side across from Shota and her with a folder in front of all four of them.
“This is the report on Yasuda’s murder. I can open it to give you a chance to explain yourself as a criminal but by keeping it like this.” Shota presented another folder with confidential stamped across of it.
“I don’t care about me. I want to know what will happen with Airi.” Maimi said it a low voice.
Iida mumbled something to Shota and he tilted his head in surprise as he heard something new from Iida. Maimi spoke louder to get their attention and they both looked back at her. Iida’s throat felt dry as her eyes went down to another piece of paper in front of her.
“Suzuki Airi is underage and we would need her parents to agree to stay with you. In this case, we have asked them to consider their daughter to live with you but they have left it with me to decide on the fate of you two.” She explained to both of them and calmly asked for water.
“I have the authority to deny or accept based on the condition that you will be under supervised release within Shota’s jurisdiction. As of now, we can let her stay with you but we do have questions.” They both nodded.
“Have you both been intimate lately?” Maimi shook her head but Airi stood up.
“We never saw each other nude, although we fool around when we get into fights.” Iida smiled as she wrote down the answer.
“Since Airi needs to stay in school, we will have her work where she is needed, if she stays with you. As for you, Ms. Yajima, most of the time you will be working as a laboring on building houses with the villagers. I am going to assume you will have your time together but I have insisted on separate living quarters.” Maimi nodded.
“Overall, all we need is your cooperation in the matter of Rika Ishikawa’s time in the clinic.” Maimi nodded to the deal quickly while Airi still had a few reservations.
Airi was happy about the situation but the decision was the final step to approve of the deal. Iida signed off on the waiver and embraced the woman in her chair. The duo followed Shota into the van and was off to the town while Iida was now left with Kanemura, who was writing out his last report before retiring tomorrow.
She walked up to his office and saw his gun on the table with a note attached to it. Iida closed the door behind her gaining the attention of soon to be retiree. He appeared exhausted from the investigation but quickly smiled to wipe away his concerns.
“Is the file confidential?” Iida nodded.
“I guess we can just talk as colleagues and out feelings toward Yasuda.” Iida took a seat still looking at his gun.
“What about her?” He grinned.
“I have to tell you why she was here in the first place.” Iida leaned in to hear his story.
Yasuda had been a highly sought after recruit in the academy. She wanted action all the time but it cost a lot to be accepted into the community. Kanemura was fond of her and took her in as an officer with internal affairs without any questions as a secretary. He promised her that she needed a year of training before doing field work but he had to break off the promise when one quit before a case was in process.
She was excited to take on the case but took down notes as she had no full rights to snoop around but her keen observations found a clue that opened the case wide open. Her colleagues were less impressed that luck had given her first case credit and usually it would lead to a luncheon with the commissioner. Kanemura was shocked the recruit did solve the case but he knew it would blow over when they hired another person.
Unfortunately, she began to be the replacement that they needed on the team. Kanemura conceded the position to her and eventually her luck streak grew until meeting with Rika Ishikawa. Kanemura had signed off without looking over the details and then the events unraveled her career.
He regretted the decision and then looked down at his gun as Iida showed him a half smile to comfort him from his troubles. He halted his speech and excused himself from the room. Iida watched him go to the bathroom and then noticed the gun was not on his desk. Iida took two steps forward and heard the gun go off. She ran to the phone to call for an ambulance.
Iida heard the phone ring and answered it quickly. There was a pause before a voice entered into the speaker.
“Kanemura, you there?” Iida knew who it was on the other side.
“He committed suicide.” She said firmly and then heard a yell before he went back to the speaker.
“Iida, I am sorry.” Ohta hung up and Iida stood outside the bathroom door for the ambulance.
Her kouhai walked into the station and smelt the fresh gunpowder inside, she ran toward Iida but she stopped her from going near the area. She ran into the office and saw a letter below. The kouhai handed off to Iida and her stomach knotted up as she saw his last thoughts on paper. She let one tear leave her eyes and folded it up to put it back into his drawer.
“Iida-san, I think we should wrap it up.” Iida agreed and let the paramedics take care of the job while they clean up the desk of the former leader.
~~
Maimi and Airi arrived half an hour after their departure from the police station. Reina and Sayu greeted the two and each took their respected person to their living quarters. Airi was with Ai’s house as a guest and Maimi was set up with Sayu as they occupied the abandoned police portable. After the two females were set into their rooms, Shota invited the town to meet the two new people.
Within an hour the town was filled with people as they surrounded the stage where they stood and the people looked at them strangely. Shota started off apologizing for the attention that was caused in the town; the events stressed the people from enjoying normal life. It was over and they could live without any more concentration on the people. The mayor introduced the two to the town and they applauded them.
“Maimi-chan, I hope it works for you.” Airi grinned as Maimi gave a grin back.
“I hope so, I really hope so.” Maimi’s response was smooth as the events continued on in the back.
The evening blew as fast as the wind and it transition to the morning where the group met at the doctor’s office. The news of Kanemura was announced to the group as they headed into their alternative meeting place to tie up the loose ends. Shota headed the table as everyone sat around waiting for the meeting to be started.
“Thank you everyone for joining for the meeting.” He started the meeting everyone’s attention.
“We want to start by offering Nacchi the assistant mayor job and leader of the defense committee.” Everyone applauded while Nacchi took the floor.
She looked down at her paper and pointed toward Reina and Reina stood next to her as she handed over a medal to her. The kitty read the lettering and she bowed to the officer. Eri was next as she received her medal from Nacchi and repeated the same gesture to her.
“These two are recognized for helping Sayu escape from the basement.” Nacchi announced.
Nacchi sat back down and Shota stood up again to write up the reason to bring them altogether. The concept of the town council was on the agenda since he became mayor. He needed the leadership to control the town’s progress through rough times and he had entrusted them with the information about opening up the town to tourists and improving the infrastructure.
After an hour of discussion, the group assigned individual roles and it ended with no comments about their next meeting. The group left with the intention of gathering more about the town, their town, a town with many skeletons, a town that was now pieced together by people. These people developed what was hidden and made it into a town they were proud of.
