Title: [Poll] Best Sub-Unit Release in 2011

2011 marked the birth of many new units: Not yet, Team Z, Ojarumaru Sisters, DiVa and Baby Gamba!
Furthermore, we had Itano Tomomi and Maeda Atsuko's solo debuts  :twothumbs

Together they were good for a whopping 24 releases. If you combine that with the single releases from the main groups we are talking 38 releases this year. That's more than one AKB48 related single release every 1.36 weeks  :lol:

LOL, I'm the first person to vote and I completely screwed it up!  I didn't read it properly and just voted for 1 instead of 5 :nervous  Is there a way to change it?

Anyway, my vote went for Naminori Kakigori.  3 main reasons.  First, the 4 girls that make up that sub-unit are some of my favourites in AKB.  I totally love them :D  Second, I think the tune is great.  It's a real feel good tune.  I can't fully explain why but it just makes me happy when I hear it :)  And lastly, the PV is pretty awesome too.  It has a real 'summer' feel to it and I always like PV's like that.

It actually wasn't as hard as I thought picking my favourite.  If I had voted for 5 though, the other 4 would have been:

Tsuki no Uragawa
Hetappi Wink
Perapera Perao
Kibou Sanmyaku

Not yet came out strong with a groovy debut single, but following singles were not quite as impressive. Tomochin's solo singles were different from the other sub-units and had a really nice sound that suited her image. Mayuyu and friends had a good closer single for the year with a Kayokyoku inspired song. Also can't go wrong with a cover of a good song. :thumbsup

French Kiss - If: I love the outfits and theme for this release. I've had the 'If' poster up all year and it never failed to give me a warm feeling.

Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 – Valentine Kiss: Among my top favorite releases of the year. The song is catchy, I love the outfits, the PV is cute, Wasamin and Komori have cool lines. Great, great, great.

Maeda Atsuko - Flower: I especially dig the coupling songs. Girl pop/rock with Acchan's soothing voice works really well. Looking forward for more Acchan solo releases in the future for sure.

Not Yet – Naminori Kakigoori: Happy feel good summer song. Cute PV and I the line-distribution is excellent.

French Kiss – Saisho no Mail: Classic French Kiss sound and a solid single all around (despite that one auto-tune song :/ )

Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 - Valentine Kiss (its so cute and i love dancing to it!)
No Sleeves - Answer (idk I just love this song)
Maeda Atsuko - Flower (her voice sounds awesome ^^)
No Sleeves - Kuchibiru Furezu (love the rocky concepts <3 very good song)
No Sleeves - Pedicure Day (hate the title but the song preview is nice!)

~my fav sub-unit is only No Sleeves therefore I vote for em xD

2. DiVA - Cry (nothing bad about this single)
3. Maeda Atsuko - Flower (what an awesome solo debut for Acchan)
4. French Kiss - Kakkowarui I love you! (shows some nice improvement from each members)
5. Not Yet - Shuumatsu Not Yet (my favorite between all three)

I only really fully enjoyed two releases under this list to be honest:

Tomomi Itano - Fui Ni
- great single, fresh move even further away (similar to Dear J) from the Idol music AKB/Tomochin is known for.

Maeda Atsuko - Flower
- decent A-Side, but i gotta give more credit to La Brea Ave., great b-side that complements the mid-paced Flower really well. and guitars.

Even though I love Yuko-sama to the utmost, my favorites are:

1. Itano Tomomi - Dear J
2. No Sleves - Kuchibiru Furezu...
3. Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 - Hetappi Wink
4. Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 - Valentine Kiss
5. French Kiss- Kakkowarui I Love You

The most of my top 5 unit's song are from no3b :lol:

1. No Sleeves - Kuchibiru Furezu... = I like this song and their concept of this single :heart:
2. No Sleeves - Answer = This is the one my favorite unit's song!
3. No Sleeves - Predicure Day = This song has a fun melody. How should I explain... I like their costumes, song, and cute dancing :D
4. Watarirouka Hashiritai - Hetappi Wink = This song is so cute!!! I really like their wink :wub:
5. Not Yet - Pera Perao = I like all of them but except a costume. For the first, I wish a cute costume for their maid concept so, I just a little disappointed with it...

My opinion changed a lot, and now it goes like this:

1. Itano Tomomi - Dear J (I agree, it's unbeatable, no matter how you look or listen to it  :wub: )
2. No Sleeves - Kuchibiru Furezu... (I love the song, especially the repeating parts :) )
3. DiVA - Cry (this song has grown on me a lot, and DiVA is one of my top favorite units now, so... XD )
4. Not Yet - Naminori Kakigoori (Tis song has grown on me too, and Yuko-sama... I don't think I need to explain  :inlove: )
5. French Kiss - Kakkowarui I Love You (keeps it's position. Cool song is cool song!  :heart: )

Then IF, Pera Pera Perao, also Valentine Kiss and Hetappi Wink...  ;)
