The single comes in limited editions A-E and a regular edition. Limited edition E of the single will be the Gaki grad commemoration, including a solo cover of an existing H!P song.

The listing on the Sony Music Shop (http://www.sonymusicshop.jp/m/item/itemShw.php?site=S&ima=0336&cd=EPCE000005861) says the Niigaki Risa Graduation Edition will feature Niigaki Risa solo on the jacket photo.
In addition, the c/w for that edition will be a solo version of a past H!P song.

Well this isn't fair. The song is absolutely awesome and we have yet to wait almost two months until its release date. :( I want it now, damn!
There are moments when I listened to the instrumental background and there appeared that great rythmic base and I was like, wow, this is very good indeed! Good job Tsunku ;)
And the outfits are nice too!! I'm starting to feel they can achieve the so coveted trifecta of good song + good CD covers + good PV! Add in that with this kind of upbeat song they can't go wrong with the choreography and this might be a total winner! (though come to think of it, that Kono Chikyuu blahblah song was an upbeat disco theme and the choreography was retarded :ph43r: )

It is my belief that even though several singles in a row can follow a musical trend, this shouldn’t be confused for what Morning Musume’s style is. In fact, I’d say that the group doesn’t have any single style that it has to adhere to. So if you don’t like their current single, try to have some patience; they may just do something next time that you absolutely love.

It certainly seems like dubstep-style sounds have become a lot more mainstream lately, huh?

Indeed...I just watched it for the first time right now, thinking relatively mundane thoughts through the whole song, then suddenly once the music stoppped:

My take on this song:
- It's "Only You" part 2! Both because of the slow/bouncy intro and the whiteness of the set with the dangly mirror things...but the video also reminds me a bit of two previous grad singles, "Kanashimi Twilight" (camera flashes, wind machine effects) and "Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game" (white set with square/rectangle motif).
- Speaking of the slow/bouncy intro, I wish the song utilized those slower drums more instead of the usual fast four-on-the-floor kicks used in almost every recent "serious" single--my genre bias for hip-hop/funk aside, it would also serve as a nice change of pace for when they do this kind of song again.
- I also wish they used the visor/ponytail hairstyles like on the cover photos, but the girls look good anyway so whatever.
- Riho's definitely living up to the "Gocchin v2" prediction I made in the 12th album thread! Her voice isn't as high and nasally anymore, starting to develop some power. And Reina sounds better singing with a lower voice. And LOL @ more Sayu-tune™.
- Getting really worried about Aika's absence in the dance parts. She's been restricted for almost a year now.
- The magazine covers were a great touch.
- I still know very little of 10th gen beyond their names! :nervous
But seriously, DAT ENDING... :cry: Risa sounded lovely on this track and I'm really gonna miss that voice in future songs...and now I really wish I could afford to go to her grad concert, especially after missing out on Aichan's.
I still haven't seen/heard the entirety of Pyoko Pyoko Ultra yet for proper analysis! I'll work on that...someday.

My two cents about this PV.
I love the song, really do,can't find anything wrong with the song, but as soon as I started watching the PV I saw a lack of, I dunno the proper word for it, but the dancing lacked something, maybe some, uumph. Some kick, some feeling of alive.
Maybe they have to tone it down a notch with all the newbies, but I feel this song deserve a more energetic dance without "wierd" moves, like the crab walk.
And the backdrop could've been something cooler. Like a rooftop in the night. But thats just wishing. ^_^
All the newbies did a great job, but in the pv you can see some of them looking down at their feet to see where they are going and such. But they are soo gorgeous. I think Masaki is going to look really good in a year or so when she's learned how to do stuff "properly". Coming out of that awkward newbie-phase. Riho is already out of it. She's awesome in the PV, her face-shots are really good ans she's not half-assing when it comes to lip syncing.
The last frame with Niigaki makes me cry also..;__; Why you so awesome Risa!?

Apparently she already covered this song back when the whole Hello! Cover thing was going on at the end of 2010, but this one has a slightly new arrangement with the beat. I'm digging the electronic intro and additions, and Gaki's singing sounds better this time around. While I would've preferred a new, original song, it's still a nice send-off for her.

Very simplistic and repetitive, but I couldn't help but enjoy watching...her smile and upbeat vibe are just so hypnotic. :wub: I do hope we get to see what those photos are that she's looking at in the full version, assuming they're random shots of her throughout her H!P career like in Aichan's grad song.

Did somebody watch J-Melo today? Morning Musume sang Renai Hunter, Kare to issho ni omise ga shitai, and Pyoko pyoko ultra, and then along with C-ute they also sang Kono chikyu no heiwa wo honki de negatterundayo, it was frkn amazing! :thumbup

Morning Musume’s 49th single, “Renai Hunter“, has sold 41,000 copies in its first week, ranking 3rd on the Oricon Weekly Single Rankings for the week of April 23rd.
This marks the group’s 49th consecutive single to rank in the top 10 since their debut in January of 1988. They now hold the record for the most consecutive top 10 singles, surpassing Hamasaki Ayumi (48 singles), B’z (47), and SMAP/THE ALFEE (46).
“Renai Hunter” is leader Niigaki Risa’s last single as she will be graduating from both Morning Musume and Hello! Project after the final night of the group’s nationwide tour.
Niigaki commented, “I’m very happy to be able to leave behind this huge record! This is all thanks to the support of the fans, the staff, and everyone involved. Also, I’m thankful to all the members who have graduated.” She continued, “Morning Musume will continue to do their best to be a group that will be loved by everyone 10, 20 years from now.”

これからどんどん力をつけてもっと頑張って欲しい｡｡｡
私はずっと年上の古～い先輩なので彼女たちからするとあまり親近感はないかもしれないけど｡｡｡
